The pokemon movies are bad t-b-h family
I've spent the last few hours marathoning them. I'm half way through and they are pretty bad. Also Darkrai is edge.
It was... ok? But it was all the same.
>Same plot line
>same challanges to overcome
that's not uncommon in series movies though. That's why they rely more so on character development, world building, action, and/or comedy. I just felt these movies were underwhelming in those departments.
Movie 3 was the best shit! It was also the last Pokemon movie I saw in the cinema when I was 14.
The only one I'd consider a good movie in itself regardless of the Pokémon license attached to them is 3, it has a solid plot and structure that stands on its own and even builds feelsy moments naturally instead of having contrived feels-bait bullshit like the end of movie 1.
Hoopa movie was the biggest disappointment for me desu, especially since Hoopas my second fav mon. It was literally only made for marketing, and its so damn clear I barely managed to watch it to the end.
but then Arceus appeared so it was worth
>entei takes the lead in pokemon the 3rd movie
>suicune gets to star in pokemon 4ever
>raikou gets a cameo in a side story, episodic pokemon special
Why life is so unfair?
Not to mention, Ho-oh didn't get the movie it deserved.
