Do you really need told what Dark types are? Seriously. Fine, Mega Gengar, Zoroark, Yveltal and Darkrai if mobile has it. If mobile doesn't have Darkrai, any base 70 Dark type works, but I'd suggest Bisharp since it stands out a lot compared to other dark types. Banette's disruptions are pathetically weak so match Zoroak first, get sinister power, don't drop the combo get a huge score.

Honestly, I say fuck the dogs. You can always go back to get them, while keldeo ends in about a week. Plus, they're really not that great (Nice AP but Po5 is mediocre). Decided to go for 200 because I had the coins and wanted to get at least more than half the speedups. In your case I would at least try to make it to 100 or even 150. With 100 that's a whole 3 match for a mega with those speedups.

It's not worth spending coins on expert stages, unless you go full item. Even then sometimes you dont get lucky and are stuck with a 30-40% catch rate and fail. Super catch rate is the way to go

Most of my team was level 7 when i started, and are around lvl 9 now after hitting 250.
If you're keen on the candies, then push the escalation, although you will need some $ for the boss fights, especially 150, 200 & 250.

the only hard fights are the boss fights, and the people claiming that 90-100 & 190-200 were hard are absolute spergs who need a program to make their moves for them.

Have you tried using express mode? It becomes a breeze to type in the board easily, plus when you click do move most of the board will be autofilled for you (you do have to adjust for random megas like M-Mewtwo and skyfall combos, but better than nothing). Besides, if you can't git gud it's better than spending coins. It seems really stupid to complain that you would rather spend coins because it takes too long.

M-Mewtwo, Victini, Salamence and Slowbro (or any other 3rd psychic) just aren't cutting it, even with Mega Start, Disruption Delay and Moves+5. I'd rather not grind for coins again just to waste them without an idea.

Talonflame isnt hard at all. Just make sure to keep your combo going and dont drop it.

Finishing with 0 seconds is 5% catch. After a few tries you'll either catch it, get better or get a Super Catch. Also have coins for greatballs (but use them only when catch rate is at least over 66%)

you need to get used to the pace at first anon. Give M-Gengar one candy and get it evolved as soon as possible. Once its mega and you match it the combo wont break as long as it keeps erasing itself, giving you a few seconds to react.

Also dont forget that with AP+ you might end up getting a shitty catchrate and still fail to catch talonflame. Just keep practicing, really

Use different colored mons like other anon said, that might help you out.

Also keep in mind, you want to focus on making VERTICAL MATCHES rather than horizontal ones.

why?

Horizontal matches pull more of the board down and that can hurt you if you try to make a match near or above the original match. Vertical matches promote other horizontal matches which give you time to make more vert. matches in other areas of the board. Try alternating between one side to the other. Gengar is useful for this because he stops appearing for a short time. Also dont try to make matches that require multiple moves, unless absolutely necessary.

And for talon flame, start out with the 3 horizontal match towards the bottom center.

I tested the waters twice going itemless+shufflemove, and I did 50% without Conkeldurr and 70% with it. If you have MegaLucario, you probably could go itemless with no issue. Otherwise I'd try Attack Power at least. I went a *bit* overkill with the items in my real try but only because I didn't have Shufflemove close by.

There are the very odd cases where skyfall will eat up an icon that was supposed to fall and kick off a combo, but you can always look at the range and pick something with a minimum combo of 4 rather than choosing a 3-10 move. Plus M-Mewtwo is so destructive since you'll likely have only 2 types of tiles on a section of the board that the odds of not getting to a 4 combo are very, very slim.

Don't spend any money, grind coins on level 37 (meowth) instead. Also there's no evolution in this game. Best level to grind EXP is 130 (ampharos), second best is buneary (I forget the number but it's before M-Glalie), exp is based on the number of turns a stage has. The amount of time it takes to level from 1 to 5 is about the same as 5 to 6, with the power increasing by 3 for the first two levels and 2 for every subsequent level (on most mons) meaning at max level the power will be 20 higher. Always go at least to 5 since it's easy, past that only if necessary.
