Pikachu jumps around and fights the forces of the evil nasty Charizard who has obtained the power to mega evolve on his own. A brand new pokemon based on pipes is introduced in this game and will become an official part of pokemon in the next main games.
>>22295670 >>22295825 >>22295850 >>22295878 >boss battle takes place in a volcano arena >Darumakas in the stands cheering on the rape ape >start of boss has Darmanitan use Belly Drum >he then jumps around and causes fiery shockwaves that you can only dodge by double jumping >mix in other fire shit like Flamethrower or Fire Blast (physical/special stats would not exist so it hurts like a truck) >Flamethrower must be jumped over, or crawled over if Darmanitan aims it high >Fire Blast must be completely avoided as it has a wide blast radius >Flare Blitz has him literally throw himself at you at full force >Stone Edge causes subtle crack to appear under you that follow you wherever you go, after a certain amount of time, the rocks burst upward and stab you, it has to be jumped over to avoid >occasionally Darumaka enemies are summoned to join the fight and must be defeated too >Rollout/Flame Wheel has Darmanitan go full Sanic and try to run you over >at the end of this move he'll get dizzy and that's when you have to BTFO of him, do that shit three times and you win
holy shit I really want a Pokemon platformer now I could go all day with this
>>22295670 >Primeape boss battle >Primeape gets fucking pissed off whenever you lands even one hit on it >Primeape goes apeshit crazy at the end of the battle, which results in Primeape accidentally KOing itself if you bait it into attacking you right next to some random hazard in the boss arena
>>22296033 >Primeape's health bar has like, a gorillion segments in it >each hit you lay on him only gets rid of one segment >after three hits a boulder suddenly falls on top of him, crushes him, and simutaneously depletes all the other segments in his health bar >boss is won
>Gyarados Boss Battle >At a huge lake, or in the sea or something >You have to get closer to it by jumping from tiny island/platform to tiny island/platform >When you're out of range, it keeps spamming hyper beams (hurts like hell even being special) >When you get closer it uses surf or something like that to repel you and put you in hyper beam range again
>>22295670 >Elemental Monkey boss fight >literally three fucking bosses at the same time m8 >you have to trick one monkey into accidentally using their element on another in an attempt to hit you (Simipour dousing out Simisear, Simisear burning Simisage, Simisage tying up Simipour with vines), stunning them and giving you an opening to attack
>>22296145 >constantly uses Protect >uses U-turn to switch out and have his Aipom fodder minions take his place >defeating them brings him back in but he'll just keep spamming Protect >when he's not doing that he's using Fake Out or Kings' Rock Fling to stun you for 5~ seconds >he has that same shiteating grin the entire time, and even has a yawning idle animation if you take too long to hit him
>>22296666 >bonus unlockable battle with Slaking that occurs if you fulfilled the requirements for it >after defeating Slaking, Slaking gets serious instead of just fainting as usual >reveals secret mega evolution >Mega Slaking is widely considered the hardest boss to ever exist in the history of platform games
>>22296108 Would never work, you would stun and defeat two of them, and then be unable to stun the third due to the elemental monkey capable of stunning the third one is now defeated and out of the picture
>>22296684 Mega Slaking with pure power only way to defeat it is to dodge his hammer arms which would decrease his speed for lil while after he performs them. He only will use that attack when you play risky and stay close to him at all times and parry or dodge everything. if you get to far away he will taunt you for being the lil bitch that you are.
>Magmortar Boss Battle >He has taken to the skies on the wings of a Fearow >You're riding behind him atop a Crobat >He's blasting Flame Bursts and Flamethrowers at you from his launcher arm as you're chasing behind him >On the ground, Rhyperiors fire anti-air Rock Blasts at you >You have to dodge and evade a gauntlet of attacks until you finally catch up to Magmortar, and strike him down to the ground >Landing after the long fall creates a deep crater >The battle concludes in the crater, where he will stand in the center, using Flamethrower from both arms at the walls, spinning around rapidly >Lava Plume spreads damaging lava on the ground for area denial >Smokescreen blocks your view, allowing him to come up for a Fire Punch sneak attack >Fire Blast is a fairly fast-launching, enormously wide star-shaped wall of fire that slowly advances forward >You damage Magmortar by quickly running around the Fire Blast wall before it traps you and beating Magmortar up while he's vulnerable and surprised >His final gambit is using Lava Plume on both sides of you and then using Fire Blast, forcing the player to do a skillful jump around the Fire Blast and over the lava
>>22296954 Probably go through a wooded area and it opens up into a clearing. Durant show up more and more often among the Pokemon you would fight earlier in the area until all of the monsters are replaced with Durant.
Eventually you get to the opening of a tunnel and Heatmor shows up and the area around the hole becomes an arena. You have to fight Heatmor while Durant periodically leave the hole to attack you and the Heatmor.
If Heatmor catches a Durant it Swallows for health. If it's at full health, it uses Spit Up instead.
>Electivire Boss Battle >takes place on the snowy, foggy summit of a mountain >the battlefield is rocky with several rock spires sticking out of the ground >A thick snowstorm blows in as the battle begins - it's impossible to see more than a few feet in front of you >Electivire is hunting you in the storm, the only hint of his location being the soft snowy crunch of his footsteps and the very faint glow of the tips of the wires that come from his back >That glow is visible from only about twice the distance he himself would be visible >If Electivire gets close, he will grab you and shock the hell out of you with his wires before throwing you to the side >Electivire will also use electric attacks, however, his body will glow very bright as he charges them up, revealing his location >He will use Electric Terrain, which is a circular, short wall of electricity that travels outwards from his location, and Scrafty must jump over it >He will use Thunder, which is a powerful bolt of lightning called down from the sky, telegraphed by the presence of sparks that appear on Scrafty. He must rapidly run and dodge so that when the lock-on breaks off moments before the attack, he isn't in range. >Every now and then, his footsteps will stop, and then after a moment, he will make a straight, fast, powerful charge directly towards Scrafty (with loud, fast, thumping footsteps) >If a spire is in the way when he charges, he will crash into it, and it will topple down, stunning Electivire long enough to be attacked. This is how he can be defeated.
>there's a farm-esque level where all the regional butterflies are eating crops >gritty looking rural Breloom farmers are NPCs, always have a stalk of wheat in their mouths >they order Scrafty to go destroy the hive >there are cocoon Pokemon traps all around the level, getting too close to them will have their respective evolved forms bust out of the cocoon and start attacking (ex: a Beedrill busts out of a Kakuna, does a bitchin' pose, and starts relentlessly shooting needles at you)
>Sewage is seeping into the ocean, and the water pokemon ask you to investigate >The sewer is full of Grimer (that attack with Sludge and Pound), Muk (big, bulky, and can spawn Grimer from missed Gunk Shots), Parasect (that attack with X-Scissor and Stun Spore to slow you down), Zubat (that attack with Wing Attack and Leech Life) and Seismitoad (that attack with Mud Shot and Acid) >eventually you reach the main source of the pollution; an entire drainage pipe is entirely clogged with Grimer and Muk >So you bring them all down, only for a huge Eelektross to suddenly fly out of the pipe, striking and sparking up a rage >The Grimer inform you that the sewers are their home and they try not to pollute, but the only way they could stop the Eelektross that invaded them was to plug it up in their drainage pipe >Boss Battle with Eelektross begin >He flies around the wide open sewer, making him impossible to attack >Zap Cannon is an enormous ball of slow-moving electricity that homes in on you and must be outrun >Discharge is a wild attack that sends electricity every which way, its locations telegraphed by a small, harmless white laser hitting a spot, and then a powerful bolt of lightning following it immediately after it appears >Eelektross will occasionally come down to Coil. It must be attacked here, if not, it will lunge forward to use Crunch, wherein it will grab Scrafty and try to force it into its gaping maw - mash buttons to escape its grip >Attacking while it's Coiling or successfully throwing off a Crunch attempt will daze it, giving Scrafty a chance to wail on it
>A trainer with his face obscured (you) gets his first pokemon from Professor Oak (whose face is also obscured) which is Bulbasaur (you can choose the others but I'm using my favorite for this example) >Controlling your Bulbasaur, you fight your rival's Charmander (in a way similar to smash bros, but you only can tackle and growl) >After this, you, controlling your Bulbasaur have some platforming fun on route 1, defeating hordes of Pidgeys and Rattatas >When a wild Pokemon's hp is in the red, go up to it and press a button, an arm will appear from the first person view, and throw a pokeball at it
Here are the controls (using the Wii U controller)
>D-pad: Move and Jump >Buttons: Perform an attack (example, when you first get Bulbasaur, one button would be Tackle and another would be Growl)
>>22297551 >Conkeldurr, Alakazam, Gengar, Shedinja, Dusclops, Luxray, Pyroar, and Drifloon are the common enemies >Final Boss is Ringleader Mr. Mime in the House of Mirrors like >>22297580 said >It's a maze with Mr. Mime appearing in and out of different mirrors, firing Dazzling Gleams down corridors >No music, just your footsteps and the sound of Mr. Mime's laughter >You have to solve the maze and avoid his attacks to land a one-punch KO that shatters every mirror at once
>game OBVIOUSLY has to shoehorn Pikachu somewhere or else it's not a Pokemon game
>level that takes place in a gloomy unappealing industrial factory where scruffy, shabby pikaclone engineers work on producing electricity
>most of them are unfriendly, underpaid, and covered in soot, some have mechanical body parts and they rarely see sunshine
>after a power outage hits the nearby city hub world, Scrafty goes to the factory to investigate
>meets a Pikachu mechanic says that he's been waiting for fucking ever for someone to get out here and help out
>says that a rogue has been messing with the security systems, resulting in the Magnezone drones that guard the place to go haywire and start attacking the pikaclone engineers, and subsequently imprisoning them in cell blocks
>he also says that the Klinks keeping the machines running have been starting to disappear, and suspects the rogue is behind that as well
>orders Scrafty to go out and fuckng fix it if he wants power in his precious city turned back on
>Scrafty's objectives are to recover Klinks around the factory to activate machinery to access new areas, while pummeling Magnezones into deactivation, and freeing Pichu/Raichu/Plusle/Minun/Pachirisu/Emolga/Dedenne engineers from their respective cells
>after making it to the end, it turns out that a horde of ravenous, leeching Joltiks are behind the power outage, all led by a gigantic Galvantula who you then must fight
>>22297211 >Next level is a fairy type land, in order to enter it safely, Scrafty must carry a Roseli Berry, which is located in a dungeon >Enter dungeon, it's just a peaceful greenhouse filled with berry trees and the medicinal herbs >no enemies, just grass waifu npcs >Lilligant, Maractus, Bellosom, and Roserade lead Scrafty to a room at the end of the dungeon, happily singing and dancing the whole time >room is some sort of throne room, the king is concealed >Room doors suddenly close behind you >fast paced mariachi music starts playing >from the shadowy throne Ludicolo emerges >he says you can only have the berry if you can beat his team in a dance contest >Waifus suddenly use petal dance, its you vs. the four while Ludicolo watches from the throne >have to dodge a barrage of leaves which each inflict minor damage throughout the whole fight >each of the four have a unique dance move with different effect >Bellosom uses Teeter Dance to confuse Scrafty, making him hit himself, so it is nearly impossible to attack Bellosom head on >Lilligant uses Quiver Dance to make itself faster an Petal Dance hit harder, becoming progressively more difficult to defeat as the battle goes on >Roserade uses Swords Dance and shoots Bullet Seeds at Scrafty at long distance. Like Lilligant, Roserade's hits become more powerful the longer it goes undefeated. >Maractus, knowing no other dancing moves other than Petal Dance, will use helping hand and to temporarily boost the power of the petal dance, and will protect itself and the others with Spiky Shield >once the waifus are defeated, the petal storm will subside. Ludicolo will use rain dance and begin running around the room at ridiculous speed and shooting powerful Hydro Pumps. You'll have a brief opportunity to attack him he has to set rain up again >Once defeated, Ludicolo will laugh, happy that a worthy opponent exists for him out there. He then summon a tropius which will give you the Roseli Berry and fly you to the next level.
>video games always have pigs as the bad guys >in an effort to drum up some easy trouble since the world is already in a panic due to the Rape Apes, terroristic pigmons take over and play the part of minor "warm-up boss" antagonists >Tepigs with bombs strapped to their chest suddenly start casually wandering the streets
>>22297902 >>22298065 >it's Scrafty's young eager but incredibly naive brother Scraggy who always wants to help out and play sidekick to his bro but finds unexpected trouble at every corner >Scraggy has snatched a Big Pearl from a Clamperl for Scrafty, as he needs one to unlock the lock at the nearby underwater dungeon >you must escort Scraggy to the dungeon while protecting him from Water types who want to steal the Big Pearl >if time runs out, a Wailord will enter and consume, consume everything.
>>22298118 >Scraggy is voiced by an actual kid so he has a high-pitched voice >when Scraggy is attacked he will yell out a phrase >they purposefully record as low as 5~ or so phrases to ensure that it annoys you as much as possible whenever he gets hurt and that it and the whole level are forever engraved in your head
>>22296010 >>22296160 >>22296171 >Give Ambipom the most fucking annoying, wacky, mocking boss music possible and we're set. The kind of cartoony shit that says "YOU APPEAR TO HAVE FALLEN FOR A RUSE :^)"
>>22298505 Not every boss would be a Rape Ape, they'd just be the primary antagonistic force. Some bosses are the result of altruistic quests for NPCs, and maybe the Rape Apes hire mercenaries or something, like for Magmortar and Electivire >>22297069>>22297206
But I think it'd go, from 1 > 2 > 3 etc:
Elemental Monkeys > Primeape > Ambipom > Medicham (Medicham's monkey-ish) > Darmanitan > Final Boss (Did we decide on Slaking?)
Non-monkey bosses can be strewn about within the order as necessary.
>>22298459 Maybe both could get their own levels? Hoopa could have an optional one where it robs you of all your items/lives/whatever, casting you into a dimension where you start from the base and have to go through a hellish maze of portals to get to the boss.
Hoopa itself would start in Confined form inside an old temple, and would teleport itself around to attack. It would make bottomless portals for Scrafty to fall through, drop projectiles from the ceiling, summon enemies, and mess around with the battlefield.
After defeating Hoopa it would become Unbound and start fighting more one-on-one with six arms and portals launching more forceful projectiles. The arms could be jumped on and used to get to its head which could be a weak spot.
>the fully-evolved monkeymons are bosses >the NFE monkeys are stock enemies >the two awkward stage middlemons Vigoroth and Monferno are high-ranking Rape Ape officers who always get in Scrafty's way, they play the role of "most frequently fought mini-bosses" in the game
>>22298567 >Scrafty has a rival >it's Toxicroak >he's after glory and plans to defeat the Rape Apes to become famous >constantly clashes with Scrafty >fast fighter and uses lots of leaps >taunts him and laughs with his shit-eating grin >has a little Klefki buddy that flies around and harasses Scrafty with speedy beams and attacks >generally an annoying shit too
>>22298796 Give him an OP-tier laugh like the Toxicroak in Gates to Infinity had (CROA-KAKAKAKAKA). Have him say it almost after every one of his lines, and get a VA who can say it with an exaggerated tone.
>>22298796 >first fight >mostly just rushes in and jabs at you >leaves himself wide open to attacks by taunting you >occasionally will leap into the air and drop down on you with a kick
>second fight >has wised up to your tricks a little >dodges and hops around more frequently while Klefki assaults you with beams and electricity >has all of his previous tactics >will sometimes hurl poisonous blobs and does his leaping trick more often
>final fight >same tricks as before >now uses Icy Wind occasionally to slow you down while he gets to a safe location >rarely he will leap into the air and use Gunk Shot, hurling a full garbage can at you >it explodes, sending banana peels everywhere which you can slip on >projectiles fly out from the explosion >berries also fly out with can restore health
>Hive level >Combee and Beedrill galore, with Mega-Beedrill grunt bosses >Final boss is a crazed Vespiquen controlling the swarm as a single mind >Chasing you and attacking you as a mob through the labyrinth of the hive as you're unable to attack through her Defend Order >Bees >Bees everywhere
I think Scrafty should have basic melee abilities (punching, kicking etc) that can be executed with quick combos, but he should also have Pokemon moves, which'll act like "special" attacks. Assuming these concepts are meant for the Wii U, the Pokemon moves can be executed by tapping on it on the GamePad. The GamePad's display will be similar to pic related, the "battle" screen in a typical main game Pokemon battle, with Scrafty's current available moves ready to be executed also with explanations in regards to how they function in the platformer genre. On top of this, the GamePad can also display a map of each level and shit.
Scrafty would start the game out with two moves out of a potential four. (Headbutt and Leer?) New moves can be learned by level up, TMs, and tutors.
>>22298866 >encounter theme is a series of bass riffs that increase in complexity >>22298993 >boss theme is those riffs in their most complex form, sped up, and with a punk-style electric guitar for rhythm.
>Get wrecked pretty bad by Rape Apes at some point >Need to get stronger >End up in Not-nipland >YOOOO level >Not-nipland is at war >Qt 3.14 Frosslass princess ask you to seek out some wandering Dusknoir warrior and convince him to join them >She sends a Samurott guard of hers to accompany you, who is an arrogant asshole and pretty much deadweight >Beat Dusknoir up, gives you Honedge who is a total bro >Frosslass clearly likes you, but you ain't got time for any of that shit >Samurott gets her in the end >Unlock sidequest series where you can find Dusknoir and fight him again >He allows you to unleash Honedge's potential, turning him into Duoblade for full offense or Aegislash for a more defensive gameplay >Beat him again to go full Guts mode
>it's a "duck Pokemon are construction workers and are taking over the beach habitat of innocent turtle Pokemon in order to turn it into a 5 star resort and you have to beat the quack out of them" level
>>22309817 >Wakfu reference Then you perish in the attempt, go beserk and get a false Game Over before you have to do a boss rush through all the bosses in the game you faced so far before fighting the sword and then come back to life.
