The incarnates' designs are fine. The problem is that they all have the same one. Like even if they had the same designs but at least had different poses, animations and tornadus/thundurus didn't share a stat spread and abilities I'd like them and would think it's acceptable.

If there was just one genie, and perhaps if they weren't even a legendary I think most people would be more accepting. Or maybe if there was no landorus, and the Fuujin and Raijin pokemon were significantly different in terms of stats and ability they'd be less hated. Thundurus-I is legitimately one of my favourite pokemon aesthetically.

Exactly. It's not simply that they have a similar design, they're meant to be brothers that's acceptable.

The problem is not that they have the same design, but that they have the same poses and the same animations on top of that, not to mention the exact same stat spread and the exact same abilities. Thundurus is literally Tornadus with a palette swap, an electric subtype tacked on to him, and slight movepool modifications. They should have had the same designs, but different stats, abilities, and poses/animations.
