Concept Art thread. Post concept art
As much as I like Aromatisse, this should be real.
Are you telling me they passed up plague doctor pokemon for what we got.
Those fucking faggots.
lysandre claimed to be for a more beautiful world but the dude looked like shit, never understood it.
"heres a great idea ill have my henchpeople wear nothing but orange with white motifs"
great idea fucko
Lysandre and Team Flare will never be JoJo rip offs. It's a sad world.
At least we know Pokemon can last for a few more decades
Colress has plenty of fans
In the recent artbook of Sugimori works it was revealed that the image was not related to Pokémon, but was actually a bunch of generic RPG character/monster designs he made up for a magazine article about game design.
>"This is an illustration that was used as the cover for the April 1997 issue of the magazine Game Review (Micro Magazine Publishing Company). There's a feature in the magazine called the "Games That Stand Out Collection" and this color illustration of an imaginary game title offers an example of the theme of the article."
Lizard guy and turtle dude were later recycled into Tyranitar and Tirtouga because yes.
In the beginning, the Torchic family and Lati@s were the same Pokemon.
Bullshit, the chick's holding a Pokeball. And there's evidence suggesting that 39 Gen II Pokemon were actually cut from the original Red and Green at the last minute, three of them being the Tyranitar family.
>implying any of the jojo character designs are good or fashionable
i bet you think koreans are high fashion too, right?
This in the main reason i don't like the Torchic line, ESPECIALLY Blaziken. I've got
nothin personnelagainst Sugimori, he's made some great designs, but he also gets stuck in creative ruts way too often. Blaziken was a prime example of it. Ken literally just piled many ideas onto some sort of creative melting pot and hoped something came out came out of it. Blaziken feels like conceptual leftovers or more like Ken trying to salvage some idea that didn't work out like he intended it to instead of disposing of it.
>younger sister with straight light brown hair
>older brother with tall blue hair
You know I might be crazy but those two kids seem kind of familiar
The labcoat is haute couture and yet he still wears a bucket hat and matching Crocs in public.
Last English one I have.
Sycamore's casual wear and Viola's formal wear means these are reference sheets for the anime, right?
Also, I never knew the thing around Trevor's neck was his Holocaster
They may have had the anime in mind, but they do seem to be more game-verse in general. Neither Shauna nor Trevor have Holo Casters in the anime, and it looked like Tierno just had a black wristband.
Red looks nothing like he should as well. He has straight hair and a Pokeball on his hat like the Capsule Monsters kid
Saving this pic for those who think that height in snake-like Pokemon =/= length.
This isn't concept art, this is official reference art for anime/models/sprites and so on
This is concept art
you dissin' my slightly chubby waifu m8? i will fukken reckt you
>mfw elesa's long legs
I don't, but it would make Team Flare fun and interesting and campy.
I think the story was that they completed all the sprites first, and then had Sugimori illustrate the pokemon to tinker with their designs and make them more appealing.
Was in that art book he released recentl, iirc.
