the shit hair, shit sunglasses, and shit hat. Hilbert also had better color coordination and his shoes are more stylish than boring boots.

Hilbert is way better than this guy and there hasn't been a good male protag design since B/W, including ORAS Brendan.

His color choice is a bland mess. Ugly hair and hat, old woman sunglasses, boots that dont fit him at all, his pants are tucked into his boots, just a mess. Its what a retard would dress like

The "purse" is a shoulder bag for men while the turleneck jacket is quite common on sports suits. The pants are better than Hilbert's at least.

His style of clothing and hairstyle is so ambiguous on the gender scale I'd sooner guess he was a tomboy than an actual boy, so I can understand the dislike for the default clothes. They could have definitely gone a little farther to instill some sense of masculinity while still keeping with fashion.

It's a good thing we were able to change our clothes in the end and make our avatars more typical male.

I think he's a QT (honestly he's my second favorite under Hilbert), but I wish he deviated from RED AND BLUE.

Yup. ORAS Brendan isn't that bad, for some reason he looks a lot better in the contest outfit, I think it's his awkward facial expression in the default clothes and the shitty shoes. Ruby/Sapphire Brendan isn't bad either, it's probably the older Sugimori art style that makes him look dated, but I think that the Emerald art is the best look for him.

He looks too bland. There really isn't anything special about him other than, maybe, longer than usual hair for a male protagonist. I don't know what were they thinking when they decided to use this color scheme again. I think it would have been better if Calem was "red" and Serena was "blue".
