I've been dicking around with emulators and what not. Figured I'd ask what the best pokemon rom-hacks are. What's the point of the vanilla games on PC if I actually own em'?
I'm looking for a new region/story but no fakemons. Difficulty/nuzlocke rules are w/e. Pref GBA/DS, but I'll do old school (like Prism) also.

ITT: make a Pokémon unique in the metagame with added moves, stat changes, abilities, regional forms, or megas
A lot of older Pokémon have lost their niche in the metagame, getting upstaged by other mon who simply do it better. So, try to make a mon more unique without being drastically broken. Not every mon needs a signature however, maybe a new movepool or some stat changes are enough to give it it's niche.

New Ability: Ivory Might
All bite-based attacks are multiplied in power by 1.5 (Strong Jaw) and Super Fang is no longer resisted by Rock and Steel
Doesn't have to be a mega ability, but can be. Basically supposed to reclaim Super Fang for Raticate, despite it no longer being its signature. Also alludes to its Dex entry saying it can chew through steel and concrete.

Status move that lifts Fearow into the sky, like in two-turn moves like Fly or Bounce. However, once in the sky, Fearow can choose from its three other moves to perform from up high. This chosen move is guaranteed to go first, allowing Fearow to get attacked as it comes down. Status moves cannot miss and damaging moves (barring OHKO moves) cannot miss and are guaranteed criticals. PP is 5 and will fail in succession.

Yea that is a good bet. Hell of a lot work for z moves but whatever. They need to shorten them because they are literally a huge cut scene. But it fits with the whole game being a really crappy movie

I can get if she barely has any role in the canon. I really do. But with how Red and Blue and the Gen I starter trio are nigh-mythological in popularity within Pokemon fandom, not having a third character and a female player character all at once to cover both female players and the third starter (take your pick) as being part of the RGBY/FRLG story feels really incomplete.
