Currently shiny SOS hunting this faggot. Have set up with Exeggutor Harvest + Skill Swap + Bestow Leppa Berry. Decidueye has Forseight and False Swipe with Intimidate Salamence as my main guy out (and at night I switch to Red Orb Groudon). I have the Shiny Charm and I didn't want to Masuda because it's boring.
I'm at a chain of 171 and I haven't turned my 3ds off in days.
What went wrong, and, create an in-universe story as to why the shiny is not appearing.

Pokemon can now Mega Evolve outside of battle (permanent, just like any other evolution) and hold items (Mega Evolved Pokemon can't hold mega stones)

The online trading system is so flawed. There needs to be an option to insert the name of the pokemon you want to request from them instead of saying "I want to see your pokemon" or "show me your pokemon". The closest thing there is is the option to press "I want to trade my pokemon for your [insert pokemon that is currently on screen]" but that almost never works because you have to tap that option while the pokemon is on screen and since they are moving through them quickly to show you them you rarely click that on time.
