Is anyone else legitimately excited for this thing? I feel like everyone's upset because she's a 'waifu' or some shit like that. Female assassins that seduce their targets have been around for ages.
Corrosion is a surprisingly overpowered ability balanced by her low defenses and I can't wait to use her to finally BTFO M-Venusaur and Heatran. Her getting Taunt is also really good.

If any of you plan to use Vikavolt for maingame playthrough then don't bother, it evolves at Vast Poni Canyon which is located at the fourth Island (basically the victory road) and it's predecessor only learns physical moves except for discharge
And by the time you evolve it,it will be too late because it stops learning anything past lv 49 so no Bug Buzz and the TM for Agility is postgame

Doesn't make it not fucking stupid though. You can get Grubbin on route 1 for chrissakes. Crabrawler is even worse, his evolve spot is literally right before the Elite 4. For what purpose? The lore is cool but there's a point you have to give that up for practicality

First Impression is a ridiculously good STAB priority move (90 BP, +2 priority). He also learns Razor Shell and Liquidation for Water STAB, Sucker Punch for more priority, and the newly-buffed Leech Life by TM.

Water Bubble reduce damage from Fire type attacks and make Araquanid immune to burns, it DOUBLES the power of any and all Water type moves used by it. That makes its new move Liquidation, an 85 base power physical water type move, have 170 power. It has the potentially to hit wit an attack as if it had a base attack stat of 190, if calculations by Smogonites are correct. That's Mega Mewtwo X levels of power.
And, because it learns Entrainment, it can pass Water Bubble to its allies to make them have Water Bubble too. Think Mega Swampert, Gyarados, Starmie, Golisopod, etc - I think you can see where this is going... in short, this is a really freaking good ability.
