Newfag here, I've seen just about all of the anime in full except for the Ruby/Sapphire & X/Y seasons, as they weren't my cup of tea. Their respective games were my least favorites, but it was the Pokemon designs & Ash's companions that put me off mostly.

The Sun/Moon games were my favorites so this reminds me though, part of why I like the current season so much is because it's very close to the games, which is generally not the case. I played the game in full, & then started watching, & I appreciated it a whole lot being able to compare notes & see how characters I liked come across in animation.

Best Wishes brought me back in full at the time, too. B/W was so good & remains my favorite of the main games. I too got bored though, around the Meloetta arc. At least it didn't have all that stupid pageant crap from the Sinnoh seasons. Eugh! & hell yeah, Dento is the man! Funny ass character, whose companion is one of my all time favorite Pokemon. I really liked him & Iris. Ash's new friends are really enjoyable too, they're not as full of personality as those two, but they're not nearly as dull or annoying as Serena & those other kids. You've got the shy one, the accomplished one, the underdog, the cocky nerd, & a cool ass surfer scientist senpai.

So yeah. I realize my taste may not be popular, but this is how I feel.

I think this is the maddest a Pokemon game has made me, as far as narrative goes. Up until this point the rules were you beat a trainer, they give up and give you what you want. Sure it was strange that grown men and women, organized criminals, were bending to the whims of some random kid but I grew to accept it since it happened in every game. I figured they were afraid of being attacked by the player's Pokemon directly. Who knows what the MC is thinking, kid could be a total sociopath for all we know.

But then these two Plasma thugs show up. Even after being soundly beaten in battle, they keep on beating Munna to make it fart magic mist. You did what you're supposed to, you followed the rules as they had been established up until this point, but it doesn't matter. And there's nothing you can do about it.
What would have happened if Musharna hadn't shown up? Would the thugs have beaten Munna to death? Would the player have intervened? Would your Pokemon even listen to you if you told them to attack a human being directly?

I wish Pokemon had more subversive moments like this, things that make me stop and wonder just what it is I'm trying to do in this game. The rest of the story with the whole "liberate your Pokemon" thing kind of goes for that but to me it fell rather flat, largely because the idea of Pokemon being your friends rather than tools is completely at odds with the gameplay mechanics. But this one moment stood out to me, and replaying the game now it still gives me pause.

It's fun to hate on gen 7 but let's talk about the parts we actually liked. I loved PokePalego, a lot of the gen 7 pokemon designs (they grew on me), and pokeride.

Seriously, I don't know what the fuck is keeping you guys going - at this point I wouldn't be surprised if there was a conscious effort by the game devs to one-up these dimwitted retards with every new Pokemon release, just introducing more and more broken shit to see how far they'll go with expanding their fucking democratically elected committees who arbitrarily vote on what's banworthy. And after all that work they come out with fucking mega rayquaza just to shit all over these nerds, and they make a new fucking tier for it. LOL

These nerds should just recognize competitive Pokemon for the fucking trash shitshow that it is and make their own game. Hell, it could be an actual god damn e-sport. But these people are just too fucking retarded, all they can do is whine and bitch about things they don't like, then ban them. Then pat themselves on the back for thinking they understand "the meta" so well despite the fact that said meta is entirely an arbitrary creation of their own making.

I apologize to whom this may offend. But Steel type pokemon, and who this list includes is a joke. Why in the name of Johto is an Alohan Diglett/Dugtrio a steel type? Solgaleo? Seriously? A god-lion is made of.... oh steel? a mediocre quality metal? I mean crap tier pokemon like Klang and Skarmory? Sure whatever, but to real, intelligently designed 'mon's have no business belonging to this artificial and cheesy element type. I mean...why steel?
