I personally have accepted my fate of never being able to play a good official Pokémon game again. Now I just look at fangame websites to see if something good comes from there. Prism was pretty great, Gaia seems good but the creator's probably never going to finish it.

It's not an impressive as a 3DS game, and it's missing essential features from past Pokemon games. It feels more experimental than celebratory or progressive. Switch will see the next true evolution of the game.

I never implied Gen 8 would be good.
I implied it would restore Pokemon's fame in Japan, since aside from blatant cocksuckers they aren't all too happy with the direction Gen 7 took with the games as well as the reveal of Dusk Doggo.

So Pokken for Switch and GS on VC are bothe released on the same day: September 22nd
Is this why we're not getting any news except for Lycanroc reveal for the anime purposes? They dont want to get in the way of first Switch Pokemon game and (which is already stale so needs more of a push) and GS on VC which will probably do ok but nothing crazy?
That would mean we wont get any actual news (outside of maybe another form for Worlds) untill early October?
I guess if CoroCoro wont tease any big scoop for next month then we can expect a dry September aswell

I think there's still some potential places where more U-S/M info could be showcased:
-CoroCoro (Which, IIRC, still hasn't been leaked beyond the cover. Maybe more info on Dusk-Dog, like typing & abilities?)
-VGC Worlds 2017 (unlikely, but who knows?)
-GamesCom (seems most likely to me)
My guess is that there was a flood of info leading into S/M because it was a new generation, or perhaps it was following up on the campaign for OR/AS (where, IIRC, nothing was kept hidden for players to discover in-game).
There just seems to be too many mysteries at hand here. Though I do agree, more info would be welcome - albeit within reason, in order to have content for players to discover.
I also wonder if, since the US didn't get the Gen I VC Mew event, maybe we'll get both a Mew and Celebi event for the Gen II VC launch? And U-S/M should either permit any Pokemon with an origin marking (i.e. Gen VII, Gen VI, or Gen I & Gen II VC games) or make it easier to get HA legendaries that can be used on the Battle Spot.

Its the same game as SunMoon. Same region, many of the same mon, etc. There isn't much to announce, hopefully they streamline Festival.

When I first had the game back when I was a kid, I hatched a shiny Igglybuff but I had not known at the time. I didn't know about shinies and I thought the stars that would appear when I brought it out to battle was something like "Oh look here's your special Pokemon". Since baby pokemon were introduced this gen, I ultimately figured that's what it meant...and I thought the red gyarados was just really a n g e r y.
I was not the sharpest tool in the shed.
