The SOS system is interesting, especially when a Pokémon's natural predator shows up (Sableye for Carbink, Mareanie for Corsola) or if something lore-wise happens (Kangaskhan for Cubone), but goddamn does it make random battles tedious.If I just want to catch some random shitmon and it summons allies every turn that gets very annoying.
Is there, like, a hold item that stops SOS battles from occurring?

I had to use 3 revives over the course of the final battle but it went pretty smooth otherwise.

I think this was my team, albeit a couple of levels lower.
Pikachu took out 3/6 of Kukui's Pokemon by itself, but the battle was still really close. Magnezone murdered everyone but Bewear, and I didn't allow myself to use items, so there was a lot of careful switching to preserve Bewear.

The pebbles were really annoying in the final fight.

my team was decidueye, a-persian, mudsdale, salazzle, araquanid and turtonator, all around level 45-50.
hala's hariyama, the first mon i fought, gave me trouble, which gave me the impression that the league was gonna be super tough, but i breezed through the rest of it
i had avoided most of the spoilers but i knew kukui was gonna be the champion. i was surprised and impressed that litten's evo was his, though.

How the hell are you people doing it? Obviously you have to trade version exclusives. Got it. And the trade evolutions? Okay. But the SOS encounters, are you really going through all that trouble? What about the 1-5% encounter rate mons? Are you guys really going back through the region and scoping out each grass patch? How are you even supposed to know which grass patch to check? I'm looking for answers here, because in 72 hours of gameplay I have 51% of the pokedex completed and it looks like the other 49% is going to take a hell of a lot longer.

I got some rarer mons like Mimikyu, Django and Mareanie no problem, I've been breeding them and GTSing them for way more common mons that I skipped over like Magnemite, Spinarak, Corsola.

Decidueye is the token mudslime, but the design actually works. Incineroar looks good all around, but really didn't need to be female.
And then they had to go full Dumblr and make the only Pokemon with stark white in its design a nigger. Good fucking job Koko, you made me dislike Poppomaid even more than I already did.

People keep sleeping on this thing cause "muh protean", but it's a very viable alternative. It's basically a mega that doesn't take up the slot and can use an item, and Greninja can score loads of KOs with just his stabs to get the form out.
