The creator spent a lot of time trying to fix his fuckups since he's grown older from when he first began making it, but the story is still pretty awful and the characters fucking retarded. At least it's dumb enough to be entertaining and gameplay challenging enough to be fun

Yes, absolutely. If you like a challenge then I would recommend playing on intense mode as its basically like dark rising's level of difficulty minus the cheap tactics. Story is pretty bad but there's lots to explore and do.

Not financially, but it will flop in my heart.

I think it has a lot of potential. However, given how Game Freak/TPC has been with their games in these past couple of years, I am not expecting it to be some grand redemption for Sun and Moon.
