Pokemon can function just fine without a focus on humans or character development. If SM's story ended on a more generic tone with Guzma trying to blow up the Pokemon league or something, the game itself would still be great because in the end, what matters most is the gameplay (i.e quality of life improvements and battles.) If the story was fantastic but the gameplay was complete ass like D/P, the games would likely be universally loathed because, as I said, gameplay > story.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing Ohmori wanting to go as far as heavy romance in Pokemon and if FE: Fates is any indication, we should keep Pokemon and dating sim elements as far away from Pokemon as possible.
I like Lillie, and SM's story was great, but pandering to people who in actually want dating sims allow the devs to get away with god awful writing that gets eaten up so long as the player gets a "You're now married!" message at the end.
It also brings the worst kinds of posters, imagine Chiken-chan shitposting amped up to the nth degree, except its with every character. Actual discussion of the story would probably be impossible because every thread would have mass waifuposting, but that's neither here nor there, since /vp/ is shit anyways.

General Guidelines for Requests

DO

- Provide In Game Name, Species, Level, and Gender of the deposited Pokemon and include the trade Message

- Check your deposited Pokemon regularly and alert Injectors if your request has been fulfilled or you have changed the deposited Pokemon for any reason such as Snipes

- Delete your previous QR post if it's wrong or revised. At least alert Injectors that it is incorrect.


Do NOT bump or beg and use discretion when it comes to multiple requests. If there are a lot of unfulfilled requests and you have already had a request fulfilled let others have a chance.


When Depositing a Pokemon

- General rule: Use something uncommon but not rare enough that people will want to snipe it.

- DO NOT use Pikipek or Yungoos or any other super common trash and DO NOT use Level 1 pokemon as those are snipe bait. An easy way to level up something for GTS trade fodder is to Battle any one pokemon in the Poni Plains with Exp Share on or by switching out.

- Recommended shitmons to use: Alomomola and Sylveon. Alternatively, Stone Eevee-lutions in the mid-teens or in the 40s. (You can buy Fire, Water, and Thunder Stones in KoniKoni City)

- Strictly prohibited: Ledyba, Abra, Pikipek, trade Evolutions, or any route 1 trash pokemon.

Regarding QR Codes
- Avoid Illegal Pokemon (based on GTS and not pkhex) : Hidden Ability Starters, Shiny locked legends, mythical pokemon, bankmons

- Avoid Untradeable/Illegal items: Megastones, unreleased items like certain berries

To reduce the chance of snipes ask for higher level Pokemon.

- Do help other requesters if they don't follow the guidelines so that they can revise their requests.
