I realize this might not require a whole thread but I figure it could do some good, maybe help the good people of /vp/ out. What's the best way to go about completing the Alola dex? What's are the best Pokemon to use in gts to get version exclusives? Should I wait till I beat the game before I try to complete the individual island dexs?

It's usually easy to get something off the GTS for its counterpart. http://www.serebii.net/sunmoon/exclusives.shtml You can use this list for that but remember that Kartana and Pheromosa are of equal value, and Buzzwole and Celesteela are of equal value.
Or you could just catch some Jangmo-os, level them up like 3 times since that's all they really need to be fully evolved at the point when you catch them, and put them up for some of those ultra beasts. I got Solgaleo by trading Kommo-o for Guzzlord and Guzzlord for Solgaleo.
Good luck getting Weavile though, you only have a 5% chance of wild Jangmo's holding a Razor Claw which is rare as fuck as it is. Nowhere can you buy one and nowhere are you given one.

Wait till post game and if you want something on GTS just put something in one of the apricorn balls to trade. I have gotten so many legendaries just for my Moon Ball Rock Ruffs and Fast Ball Pichu's.
