How do Abilities work in Gen 4? I'm playing Platinum. Bulbapedia says Yanma has Compound Eyes as a 'Second Ability', but when I look at his info I only see his first ability listed, Speed Boost. In fact, none of my Pokemon have second abilities. Is it just like you get one or the other, and they have a better chance of having the First Ability than the second? I'm retarded and know nothing of the finer points of these games.

It's random when encountering in the wild. There is a chance to have one of the two abilities. Just keep catching them and you will get one. You can also use a pokemon with the ability trace to see what ability the mon had before you catch it.

When you find pokemon in the wild, they have a 50/50 shot of having either Ability 1 or Ability 2. There's no real difference between having Ability 1 or Ability 2.

Start off battles with Encore to trap any setups and baiting physical assaults, as per Encore goes. Works well for setting up teammates as all three of its weaknesses can be checked by immunities/sap sipper.
People rarely use special attacks against a Primarina so the relaxed nature and defense EVs usually catch them off guard and result in being able to rinse Encore uses on several occasions or just out damaging them if they don't have any special bulk of their own.
Aqua Jet is just there for toughing out kills if they're locked into a non-priority move and we both stay in, but replacing it with a coverage move is probably more suitable.

Hm. Well. No. I used to play fair. I used to spend all my time breeding and hatching eggs and EV training, but it wore on me. It wasn't worth it and I actually have a lot more fun injecting than I ever did getting legit mons. Now I can have anything I want, any way I want and can even test builds and sets without having any time or resources wasted. Breeding was tedious and boring. Injecting made the game fun again.
