No, that would be BW and BW2. You can actually see their effort in HGSS, BW, and BW2, though. Packing features in, adding QOL improvements, not to mention the 156 mons introduced in BW with a bold (if controversial) dex consisting of ONLY new mons. These are all tangible evidence of actual effort. And you can find the evidence of laziness in their later releases, too... it's quite sad. SM is looking pretty promising to me so far (not too far in,) but from the threads about all the missing and cut content, it's obvious they were pretty lazy about this one, too.
