I enjoyed his banter throughout the game, but I have issue with how while the function of a constant minimap, wayfinder, and reminder of where to go if needed would lend itself greatly to a more "open" world design, the region is probably the most linear yet. That isn't Rotomdex's fault, though.

Apparently during the PokeSpe fan meeting fans asked Yamamoto regarding a comparison of the bust sizes of the pokegals, and in the author’s corner of the Spe website he revealed the ranking as thus:

Story so far: You are Ron, a human turned Tepig. After meeting and befriending an Oshawott, you formed a group and set off on a quest to save Osha's village by restoring the forest to the north. After an extensive adventure, you managed to free a captive Shaymin who had been sealed away in a bid to seize the forest by some corrupt and selfish pokemon. Along the way you made some friends and devoured many a pokemon heart. Unfortunately, Osha's village was attacked by Tapu Koko, forcing all the inhabitants to flee to a nearby city.
After establishing a new base in Risellan City and officially registering as an exploration team, you added a newly born Eevee to your team(Eva) and later met a Cubchoo who had her partner Buizel wander off into Primrose Woods, seemingly in a trance. You promised to go look for him. In your travels, you came across an old mansion in the middle of the woods, which mysteriously put your team into a trance and lured you all inside. You decided to split up and search the mansion separately. You managed to find Osha again, who was being held in a captive trance. Saving him, you wandered into the Mansion's library and inadvertently unleashed a Spiritomb from a magic portal, but sealed him up again after a battle. You then found A Helioptile stuck drinking tea in the mansion's sitting room as a captive of a Golurk and Honedge. You almost fell under the same spell, but shook it off long enough to slip out of the room with Helioptile.

Keep note that actions can only be performed within the realm of plausibility. You can't pull out items you don't have, you can't use moves you don't know, you can't willingly try to kill yourself etc. etc.
