Evolution stones. Level up, learn the moves you want, evolve. Clean, plain and simple. I always thought that most Pokemon should level up this way. Least favorite is trade evolutions because I never had any friends who played and would trade back and forth.

How do you fix the most broken defensive type in the game without introducing a new type?
Removing the Poison immunity would be a reasonable nerf and also make Poison attacks more viable as coverage moves.
