Autistic answer: Because it's quadrupedal. The musketeers break the rules because they're legendary. Stufful's Fighting type is just meant to represent its superstrength and not actual fighting ability.

Same here, the same also goes for Poképark 2, which is actually way better than the first one.

It's a neat palate cleanser between games. It's not enormously challenging but there's enough to keep you occupied for a little while, especially making best friends with all the Pokémon- some of the Legendary Pokémon are pretty hard in this regard, clearing the events with them is sometimes harder than you'd think.

I do agree with the rest of your points, though I've only tried two other starters in Rescue Team so I'd be hesitant to say it's the best.

-Has access to Charge and can be linked to ANY STAB to do insane damage
-Can kill most Monster Houses with Discharge. Combibe it with Charge to ensure many OHKOs.
-Intimidate reduces direct physical attacks
-Unlike RPGs, Rivarly is very useful meaning that you can hit hard with ANY moves but only in floors 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc.

Vulpix
-In PMD Imprison works very different: paralyzes the opponent for many turns meaning that any boss can be a piece of cake.

In Unova where you're in the Royal Unova following clues to find the actual trainers rather than tourists, or at the Black Towher where you are trying to use clues to find a specific person and managing your health by choosing when to fight/use the one Doctor you get.

Or in Johto where one mingigame is a radio show, one involves playing touccscreen sports with your pokemon and one involves playing a combination of minesweeper and sudoku.

The newer regions arent completely samey, but it definitely feels a lot less varied than it used to be.
