ANYONE who thinks /vp/ is contrarian just has unpopular opinions. And they cant come to terms with it

It's not 2012 anymore, people love Gen V now.

Most people think ZInnia sucks now.

Gen 6 is generally considered underwhelming at the very least.

WHy Pokemon as franchise is filled with missed potential?
Why make some pokemon overpowered when other suffer and have nothing special to offer?
Why give us characters that has so little time to shine?

How would competitive pokemon react to moves that aren't actual OHKO moves but are powerful enough that they might as well be?

Idea 1. Mountain Smash
Rock, 250 BP, 40% acc, Z-Crystal only increases power to 255. Learned by Tyranitar, Giglaith, Terrakion, Regirock, nad Regigigas. This is the logical conclusion of Rock moves, incredible power but poor accuracy. It's slightly more accurate than actual OHKO moves, but on the downside it can be resisted by stuff like Steelix and Chesnaught. Would this be bannable?

Idea 2. Dragon Wrath
Always does 200 damage, it's 5 Dragon Rages taped together. Imagine if this was Haxorus' signature move, learned at level 90 (just using Haxorus as an example, any non-legendary Dragon type would work, really). Would it be too overpowering? Sure, a lot of stuff could survive a hit or 2, but not a lot could reliably switch in on it? Would Haxorus be banned, kinda like banning Porygon-Z for Z-Conversion in UU, or would the move be banned? What if it was 10 Dragon Rages taped together and did 400 straight damage? Almost nothing would survive that.

Idea 3. Impending Doom
Dark, Status, 60% Acc
Afflicts target with a new Status, Doom. It's like Perish Song in that you only have 3 turns left to live, but it doesn't reset when you switch out. Ghosts can't be Doomed, much like how Electrics can't be paralyzed. It can be healed with Aromatherapy, Heal Bell, Full Heal, Full Restore, Lum Berry, etc.It's only learned by Yveltal and some really crappy Ghost and Dark Types like Shiftry, Dusknoir, and Mismagius. Would this move be banworthy? Doom could be used in other contexts as well, such as a move that Dooms the user, but drastically increases all or most stats, or a Ghost attack that does damage and a 10% chance to Doom.

How do you think stuff like this would be handled by the competitive community?
