uhm hello i'll just put it out here
- the beginners pokemon from gold and silver will get alolan forms
- there will be a ton of new alolan forms, including pokemon from johto and sinnoh
- 2 new pokemon and they are event exclusive
- lycanroc will get a new form
- pikachu will also get a new form
- a ton of new z-moves
- there will be a new function called armor evolution, basically you can merge pokemon with other pokemon now
- you can merge nihilego with pheramosa or masskito (i forgot its localized name) and necrozma with solgaleo, lunala, incineroar, kommo-o, togedemaru, wobbuffet, empoleon, ho-oh, etc
- there will be gyms and trial captains will be no more
- you still have to battle totem pokemon in order to get z-crystals. gumshoo/raticate have been replaced by lycanroc (both forms)
- lillie and gladion are in this timeline
- lillie is a student at the pokemon school and she owns a marill and gladion has been taking care of cosmog and instead of type null, he has an umbreon
- the story is completely diffrent, the characters from sun and moon will still appear
- the new team called team gyro wants to merge the timelines of sun and moon by merging necrozma (whose backstory is kind of complicated but basically, necrozma is not an ultra beast and at the same time, it is) with solgaleo/lunala so they can create ultra-solgaleo/ultra-lunala
- the leader of that team is called honda, i don't know if it's the english name or the japanese name

Primal version of Z-Moves. I expect this to be for DPPt remakes, where the Adamant/Lustrous/Griseous Orbs become "A-Crystals" that lets them use an "A-Move" which the player can do as many of as they like, as well as their one Z-Move. These A-Moves would also change their formes to something like "Celestial Dialga", "Celestial Palkia" and "Celestial Giratina" or whatever word they use. Arceus would get this too but wouldn't need an item for it, getting the Rayquaza treatment.
I don't know about Gen 8's new-region gimmick. They've already uses "mega alternate forms" and "mega moves", so what more is left?

Just normal alternate formes we can change outside of battle. Nothing new.

Fusion is honestly a way better sounding gimmick than Megas or Z-moves.

The only reason it wasn't a total success before was because it was Wii U. It will certainly outsell the Wii U version this time, but the tournament scene is probably going to remain small.

But are people buying it in the Switch because they genuinely want to play it, or are just desperate for games right now? I mean, I have a Switch but I've hardly touched the thing after I stopped playing BoTW, but it's not as bad as the 3DS's first year when I only had Super Monkey Ball on the thing.
