Just finished the story mode.

Why did arena/ultimax need to shit on the P3 cast by making them all fightan game character cliches molded to fit P4's theme. Ken is only character from P3 cast who was okay.

Not to mention fanfic tier writing with definite over use of the "bonds" in every scene. It's worse than persona 4 animation.

I think the implication is the protein is to improve his training, which he's still obsessed with. He wants to get the most out of this. In Q it makes sense since he hasn't changed yet and in Arena it feel more like he does it because he enjoys it.

P4's links are generally good at having each rank present something new. I don't think p4 had many problems with sl concepts either but the linearity of every link except ai's was a little disappointing.

I had the thought of making each link have multiple endings instead of straight break/reverse, like being able to encourage yukiko to leave town over the whole of the SL, or convincing rise to leave idol business. That kind of thing would be the 'bad end' and it'd have some penalty on the rewards you get for completing the link. Ai's link if you date her would be like the 'good end' while not dating her would be the 'true end'

Having the links/character development not tie in with plot development was also sad but I can understand why it's like that
