Got mixed up in acronyms. Gaia is a better item than Bulwark in most situation, it's cheaper gives you more sustain in the form of both MP5 and HP5 (http://www.smitecentral.com/content/articles/page/professor-proxy/professor-proxy-intermediate-class-stone-of-gaia-bulwark-of-hope-pest).

So might be great but you're pretty much wasting the aura as a solo, you're better off buying other defensive items if needed.

that's a general build, not strictly conquest. if you are in solo and against physical, then yes, your physical protection would be either mm rh or witch (or a combination of those). but tyr doesn't need the sustain for sog. would you buy sog on zhong? the only place where sog on tyr is better than literally any other magical defense item is assault. anywhere else you got healing for days and can buy a few extra mana pots. bulwark gives massive protections and lots of health, along with the passive it makes you near invulnerable to damage

Basically, Xbals strength lies on banking that over time the stronger autos add up to more than the weaker autos hitting more often. 3*7 compared to 5*4, for example (first number being damage, second number being number of hits). Also, remember that crits are multiplicative, and not additive. The extra 30 power from his passive and 50 damage from his bolas may seem like a negligable 80 damage, but remember with Deathbringer that's 200 extra damage on a crit.

And yes that is the situation we're discussing since we're discussing which hunters are better than others. If we move it into teamfight discussion there are too many variables, where it's taking place, which tank each side has, who is fed, etc. Making it 1 v 1 is much easier for comparison
I've already mentioned his 80 free damage, which is me being generous since not only does the 50 damage eat at his mana really damn quickly over the course of a teamfght, but that's assuming he himself has gotten 6 kills by the time the fight happens.
Now let's say both of them land all their auto attacks against each other because cc isn't a factor (beads or what have you). The winner is whoever crits the most with any build other than unicorn. If both players have unicorn, because let's assume the other is anhur or neith, I'd give it to anhur or neith due to
A) Anhur's steroid in the sand pit of 20% damage (let's say 40 free damage, based on a 200 damage build) and 15 penetration
B) Neith due to Unravel heal/debuff

Any other points you want me to cover?
I realize that at the end, this is a team game but comparing how a teamfight can go is just mentally insane, there are just way too many variables.

1. %Reduction: Demonic Grip passive (7% x3) and Spear passive (10% x2)

4. flat Pen: Dynasty Helm (15), Pen boots (15), Spear (15)
