I want to fuck Mirai
Merry Christmas /smtg/
Hero, since as the only explicitly Neutral protagonist, he would be quite used to going back and forth.
If there's one thing that anyone from any culture can relate to, it's getting wasted any time you can find an excuse.
Smoked outside my window and now I'm cuddling with my cat, and getting torn a new asshole by the beginning of SMT IV on master. All while shitposting on /smtg/ and some owl keeps hooting every 30 seconds.
B-but I'm a neuter. Law is my least favorite alignment.
Also I dunno about posting on /smtg/ being near religious in particular, but god damn my cat is so warm and fluffy I wouldn't mind dying right now. Any law/chaosfags want to be friends?
Why must the preta continue their barrage of critical hits upon me?
You one of those guys who bought a PS4 for Phantom Pain or something?
From having to buy it for a console instead?
I dunno man, I'm tired as shit of having to own so many systems to play the games I like. It's nice when things get released on as many platforms as possible.
They're really cranking up the fanservice for this release.
It's sending up red flags, if you ask me. DeSu is more than able to stand on it's own if you remove the fanservice. Someone really just needs to tighten the leash on Yasuda. Why the fuck throw so much fanservice into a game where literally all of reality is on the brink of being re-written?
Because they're taking advantage of the fact that Yasuda is one marketable motherfucker? Or at least the most marketable one they have. This is being treated as a standard anime production, it's nothing new, odd or weird, you fellas just aren't used to it.
They're even forcing a new waifu that they're trying to make super duper important but it's just making me sceptical. What is the point of female Yamato?
They want to attract a specific audience I assume.
Hopefully mainline SMT never goes down this route.
Is it Yasuda's decision or are they telling him to do it though?
>What is the point of female Yamato?
i'd say to replace him with another love interest but yamato is already a huge flaming homosexual so that wouldn't be necessary
the other answer is an easier time squeezing as much money as they can out of potential merchandise. yamato is very popular but he isn't a girl, girls sell better merchandise wise. not a flattering guess on the direction they could be taking the devil survivor series but whatever.
This is hilarious though, imagine the discussions
>We would also like you to increase the marketability of certain characters. Please do not shy away from revealing outfits or anything of the sort.
>Fuck yeah diddies everywhere!
Meanwhile Atlus is counting their money.
Interestingly though, I don't think Yasuda is doing these bonus illustrations. The two other Miyako illustrations are by a separate guy, and this Io one doesn't look like Yasuda either.
Reminds me a little of how they got not-Soejimas to do the P4U stuff.
I liked Yamato. Thought he was a douche at first and was expecting to hate him but his fate scenes won me over. I ended up feeling really bad for him, especially as the extent of his social unawareness became increasingly obvious, e.g when you tried to joke with him and it would all fly right over his head, and how he became increasingly unintentionally childlike/silly when he interacted alone with the MC later in the game. Also his having meltdowns over wanting the MC to himself, while insane, was depressing when you consider why. By the end though, it felt like he got some of the best development in the game.
All I hope for is that they don't screw him over too hard just to sell a new pair of tits. I want to like Miyako, was excited when she was announced, and will give the game a chance, however I sort of agree she's being shoved a bit too hard all over everything, instead of a natural introduction. Atlus' bad record of poorly handled new characters isn't exactly reassuring anybody either.
>Atlus' bad record of poorly handled new characters isn't exactly reassuring anybody either.
you could say they've been a real record breaker
If you're triggered, I feel sorry but nobody's forcing you to play the game. The artist should be free to do what he wants as long his employers are okay with it.
Also you should know that it's a Jap game for Japs.
Where the fuck is the excessive fanservice in those games? Also obviously they're going to pander to the "Otakus", what's wrong with that? It's pretty rational.
And DeSu was filled with fanservice from the start so I don't know where his sudden anger and surprise is coming from. Also how could fanservice hurt something if the core stays the same?
She definitely also seems more tolerable than what I've heard of Marie. If they do end up flopping with Miyako, it'll probably just be Lucina shoehorned into DeSu2 or something like that.
For most people it is but yeah if you use the definition that makes more sense then I don't understand the problem at all. How could service for the fans be something even remotely negative if you don't use the T&A definition of it? If it isn't "misogynist", "sexist" or "mindless fapmaterial" or whatever shit most people come up with when they think of something as fanservice etc.?
Excessive fanservice couldn't be a bad thing at all per definition.
What went wrong with DeSu in your eyes?
>also you'll notice the quality of the games go down
Like in almost every game series ever.
Just finished SMTIV undub on neutral without faqs, just want to thank this nigger that make this rom. Dude you're alright.
>Also you should know that it's a Jap game for Japs.
FYI weeb, Japanese non-otaku hates that kind of shit.
Non-otaku also hate otaku.
They're clearly targeting otaku at full force, and otaku shit is shit.
Where do you think you are?
>They're clearly targeting otaku at full force
How is this a bad thing? It looks like they bring the most money and it looks like you don't like this "otaku shit", so yeah, that's your problem, you aren't the target audience.
You know that there is a reasonable amount of otakus in Japland, right?
Otaku shit is mainstream or at least the second biggest "stream" over there look at anime and most of their games.
Not him but I think he also included stuff like common as shit anime tropes like hot springs incidents, kya you pervert type of stuff, landing in unfortunate positions (think desu 2 when Fumi and Otome land on Bunny's crotch and face). Most of the time these things bring nothing to the plot and while this isn't necessarily a bad thing, we need some respite after all, they're the same tired unfunny stuff you see in the trashiest shonen or harem manga. The older games might have had character archetypes but even one of the most annoying parts of SMT 2 (Puck) was a literary reference. Hell, P2 kept its hot springs skit to the drama CD and turned it into a parody.
I'd say fanservice in itself isn't the problem but pandering to the lowest common denominator. I know it brings money but I still think it's shitty.
Yeah, that's your taste. However if they wouldn't be a fuck ton of Japs liking that shit they wouldn't do it.
Also this shouldn't be ruining the game experience at all. I wouldn't recommend SMT games for their plot. That stuff should be not mor than a minor annoyance.
>pandering to the lowest common denominator.
Can someone explain to me what this is exactly? This shit gets thrown around quite often recently.
Being a pretentious jackass does not make you any better though. Because all you do is bitch about trivial shit that no one reasonable takes seriously or even bothers to give a fuck about.
What the fuck, man? Did I say anything about my taste? Are you hallucinating?
I'm only realistic, know that I'm not the target audience in P3rson4 and DeSu and don't whine like a baby on an anonymous imageboard about shit I don't like. I also don't like the direction mainline is going but you don't see me bitching about it.
You sure do put a lot of effort into whining like a baby about people having opinions. No one even said they hated any of these games, merely that they were feeling uncertain, then you jumped on them.
Yeah I jumped on them like a hyena, not a baby, a baby doesn't jump on people, retard.
>No one even said they hated any of these games
Please read the posts of that otaku shit guy again. He mentions hate a lot and I'm convinced that he does hate shit.
The thread derailed when you lashed out at someone for saying they feel uncertain about what demographic a game is increasingly appealing to. What came after was nothing more than collateral shitposting.
Quote the posts please, I'm sure there wasn't anyone that reasonable here. That guy with otaku shit seemed pretty emotional and angry to me.
Where did the thread derail? It's always like that. If you want to talk about another thing, feel free to do so, I'm sure everyone (2~3 anons) would start talking about that if it's interesting or the thread would start dying again.
