Scott doesn't get that the way to make melee viable is to make it work in tandem. Separating melee from ranged combat just makes using them clunky, and forces players to pick on or the other, this leads to people picking the better one, which I bet will be ranged most for the time.

The swap time means that its just never worth it to equip melee during down time such as when reloading or in close quarters, as well as the danger in standing still. Simply speeding up the swap speed and allowing players to enter stand with quick melee would be a huge improvement to melee. Flowing between sword and gun was part of the whole idea, but having to use a mod to fix that (and it doesn't even fix it) is ludicrous. Stamina discussions are in the same vein, currently modding for stamina is useless and using that as a tool to balance melee would just make it relatively less used, as the opportunity cost of shit mods for stamina is too high.

Stamina is also what makes blocking useless, just 1, ONE, Grineer who's lvl 30+ will eat even the highest stamina bars almost instantly.

Being able to block forever wouldn't be overpowered anyway, you can only block 1 direction at a time, it would simply be a skill based way to avoid damage (cause dodging sure as fuck doesn't work when the enemies are almost perfect aimbots.)

The 120% IPS damage mods are only worth it if the gun has more than 85% of the specific damage type.
Vaykor Marelok is 60% impact and only 10% puncture, you'd increase your 16 puncture damage to 35.2, for 11 mod points.

I think you're right, these lines have only appeared in the english translation, they are nowhere else. Usually new lines appear in all language files, although in english, for later translation.
If they appear nowhere else (and they seem translated) it seems DE has to comply to Korean law and got sent those lines and put through google translate and integrated them for a later date.

Is it a good idea to apply a Forma to the Boltor (regular version) so that I can be more able to play higher level void missions? I start becoming a burden once enemies go to level ~32, I have to spend a lot of shots shooting them. For example it does around 50-60 damage on level 32 Corrupted heavy Gunner. I thought putting the forma to fit a Corrosive elemental combo would be a good idea, but the more I read it seems that the Viral already have is good?
