Gellert removed his mask and rolled himself a fisstech smoke. He was largely immune to the drug due to inhaling its every possible form while visiting laboratories. Despite not feeling the rush anymore he still did fisstech, out of habit.

Azar Javed still felt the rush. He injected, snorted, smoked, shoved the drug up his arse, even, the man never seemed sated to Gellert. He was fearsome in his anger and somewhat sleazy, disgusting in his benevolence.

A customer, thought Gellert, hearing the steps from afar. A single man was strolling towards the Salamandra's undercover base, not a bit afraid of the perils hiding between the heaps of shit.

The man had cat eyes. And two swords on his back. But his hair wasn't white, neither did he wear that ploughing skullcap like Berengar, the mercenary witcher Roland killed. Roland...

Gellert cursed under his breath, gave the two sentries, guarding the entrance valiantly, a firm nod. They approached the stranger.

"Oi!", one of the sentries shouted at the witcher. "You wanna buy or you lookin' fer work, eh?"
"I want to buy some", said the witcher. His widow's peak was magnificent in its length.
"How much ya wanna?", the sentry insisted.
"Two kilos, the best sort you have. And make it snappy, will you?"

Gellert smiled. Nice transaction to brighten his day, just like he liked it. Roland didn't like to sell during the night, it made his too tired and nervous the next day. Roland, my beloved brother...

One of the sentries disappeared behind the door. The strange witcher whistled a tune, his toned arms crossed on his muscular chest. The man cared about himself, thought Gellert. I should as well. Never enough time...

He drew his longsword from the scabbard in a motion that defied the laws of physics. The quick slash beheaded one of the sentries. Then he quickly parried a slow blow from the other one, dazed him with a pommel and gutted disgustingly.

Gellert didn't even flinch.

The stranger wiped his sword in the sentry's clothing, smiling sarcastically. He sheathed it in the same uncanny movement, only backwards. Then he approached Gellert.

"One bloke told me you are selling the finest good in Temeria down here", he said.
"We are. The fisstech."

Gellert was calm. He expected the White Wolf sooner or later. To be killed by another witcher meant a naught to him. Didn't matter. His beloved brother was dead, anyway. Why live if not for the ones you love?

"Kill me, witcher", said Gellert. "Your kind stalks me anyway."
"My kind?"
"Geralt, the one they call Gwynbleidd."

The stranger smiled puzzlingly. He offered Gellert his strong, tough hand to shake. Gellert asked with a glance.

And he will drown in blood all who did not believe in him.

Gellert suddenly didn't care much about his brother, about his fisstech, about the ploughing Azar Javed, even about the White Walk who was going to hunt him down. Gellert believed in the King.

He believed in Lambert. And for that Lambert rewarded him. With noodles.
