He's also never said he wouldn't write a female qunari or dwarf character with a romance, but he felt like being asked JUST for that was insulting because it sounds like to him people don't care about the characters themselves, they just care about if they can fuck them (which to him would sound like "please pander to my fetish"). Cole is just really sweet and useful in digging out important information about the characters that you wouldn't get otherwise. His mind-reading powers give him a ton of insight that helps flesh out the companions.

I somehow doubt that. Mass Effect three received multiple new classes and abilities through the multiplayer. Shepard only had access to, like, 3 of those abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if we got similar treatment.

We just know they had a stronger connection to the fade back then, Spirit Warrior says sup.

Though we don't know if the civil war among the elves started before, during, or after Solas sealed away the gods, so who knows when they started to lose culture.
What we do know is that when the humans came in and stomped/enslaved everyone it was after the elves had lost enough of their history that they couldn't even properly use blood magic anymore. Considering Solas refers to blood magic as not as bad as it is in the current game timeline, I wonder if perhaps modern blood magic is a perversion of the old kind.

Which also raises the question, Solas specifically points out that using blood magic makes you unable to walk the fade, yet we're to believe the Tevinter Magisters used a ridiculous amount of blood magic to reach the black city. What are the odds they didn't actually enter the fade but went somewhere different that has yet to be properly documented?
