Our pastebin is back.
You use this website for saves, choices, importing and everything.
And no, it doesn't matter if you own the previous games or not, you just need to own the DA:I and an Origin account for it to work.
>Explanation on how spell/skill combos work:

DA:I isn't very mod-friendly.
>Where is my warden?
I hope you like letters :^)
>Why is this game so boring? Its all fetch quests and irrelevant stuff.
Leave the Hinterlands.
Optional stuff is optional, you're making it boring yourself. You can go back to any discovered location at any time, go do the story missions or unlock different areas. The game doesn't even truly begin until you reach the Skyhold.
It's an old meme from /meg/.
It means who loves your player character moste.
>Party banter is bugged?
Many players are experiencing a lack of party banter and background music playing when you're exploring the world. Bioware is looking into it but a fix won't be in place by the next patch. The current workaround is to travel to new areas via the war table
From Mark Darrah's twitter:
>This will not be fixed in the FIRST patch, however, as we do not have a reliable repro or a fix.
>Vivienne: Did you think you were being subtle, Blackwall, darling? Half the servants are talking about it.
>Blackwall: I have idea no idea what you mean. I...occasionally have business in the Great Hall. We all do.
>Vivienne: No doubt Josephine is delighted to have a dirty mercenary with a history of deception watch her from behind a pillar.
>Blackwall: Despite what you think I am not stalking Lady Josephine.
>Vivienne: How in the world would anyone possibly think such a thing? It's not as if you shadow her--badly--around Skyhold at all hours without speaking a word. But if you wish her to call the guards, by all means. Continue.
>Blackwall: ...So you would rather I just talk to Lady Josephine?
>Vivienne: Of course not! I wish you'd stop bothering the poor dear. There's no need for you to terrorize and mortify our ambassador when you're pathetically far beneath her.
1st for Aimo lost.
>/dag/ hates Gaider
>/dag/ loves Gaider's greasy self insert
Care to explain? Are you just tsundere for Gaider?
>BW: Don't play Diamondback with Solas. You've been warned.
>BW: Taught him the game last night. He turned around and beat me at it.
>BW: Lost everything. Had to walk back to my quarters with only a bucket for my bits.
Says the poor Fraud that left the Herald of Andraste naked in a barn.
>dorian says sera is a natural with a bow
>wot u just said m8? dats nun of ya goddamn business innit?
>there is people on /dag/ who need explanation what "moste" is
He writes some good characters, but he's said some stupid things - for one thing, he flatly refuses to write a dwarf or fem!qunari romance because he cannot believe that ANYONE could actually be attracted to such characters outside of a fetish.
Fine, let's talk about how the old gods are the creators (minus Fen'Harel who somehow avoided being corrupt and Mythal who was dead when elvhenan was destroyed) and what does that make the forgotten ones?
Blackwall is too content to drink his misery away, gamble with Solas and banter with Sera. I don't think you can hook them up. And after Cuckwall's public disgrace I get the feeling Jojo wouldn't see it as courage and have her panties drop.
Though there's something romantic and Disney about the two if they were to hook up, I admit. Opposite side of the tracks and all.
Even not realizing what he is its kind of dumb to use Grey Warden treaties just because you're allied with ONE Grey Warden.
that's how i'm going to justify not using them, anyway
This. People dislike Gaider as a person [or at least his public persona] and have good reason. He's been providing ample ammunition for dislike since 2010 what with the way he responds to fans and critics alike.
Say what you want about him, that dude knows how to piece together a romance.
Varric because you have history. But he's Hawke's bro and you'll never take his/her place, so Bull.
It doesn't even make sense to use them. Those treaties apply to the Wardens in order to allow them to conscript for the Wardens, not to allow anyone, even a Warden, to conscript for some third party. How could you expect anything but objections, when your legal basis for using them is so obviously shaky?
>not using the Grey Warden treaties to your heart's content and then telling the Wardens to piss off when you find out Fraudwall is a fraud
What a bunch of pissbabbies you are. You're the fucking Inquisitor and you saved their asses earlier in the game.
Well it's not like what he said hasn't been misinterpreted. He also said the thing about dwarves looking like children four years ago, and while it was dumb of him to say that (because there are actual people who suffer from dwarfism) there's no way of knowing if he still feels that way.
He's also never said he wouldn't write a female qunari or dwarf character with a romance, but he felt like being asked JUST for that was insulting because it sounds like to him people don't care about the characters themselves, they just care about if they can fuck them (which to him would sound like "please pander to my fetish"). I don't know if that's what the people asking truly meant but I can understand how Gaider would reach that conclusion.
Gaider also doesn't decide who becomes a romance and who doesn't.
Round and round we go. It's always the same. Post too much about a character and all the sudden that character is the worst and their fanbase is the worst. We went through phases of this with multiple characters even before the game came out.
Never change, /dag/.
You should at least try him out, I know you've posted before that you kept him permabenched but he's a pretty great character. Nice banter with everyone and he's very sweet. I was expecting full Colesteel before the game came out but I think he's probably my favorite party member now.
Creators - ancient elven mages with high powerlevels
Old gods - their pets
Forgotten ones - other elves with high powerlevels who lost and are thus considered evil
It was probably something like DBZ with elder elves
Varric is Hawke's best bro, not yours. Cole isn't even a bro. Bro implies you see each other as equals. Most people see themselves above Cole.
>implying I would be bros with a heathen qunniger
That leaves Solas, Cullen and Dorian, the true bros.
He's not my favorite person. He comes off as unlikable.
I'm curious as to this, too. I know he really digs helping people. Even those that crap on him like Sera.
Whoa, really? Alright. I'll give him a swing.
>he flatly refuses to write a dwarf or fem!qunari romance because he cannot believe that ANYONE could actually be attracted to such characters outside of a fetish
Really? That seems like such an irrelevant gripe.
>make Gaspard the emperor because he seems like a cool guy while Celene doesn't even speak to me
I just screwed Ferelden over, didn't I?
I kind of hope the next expansion / DLC is based around Solas going into more detail on what exactly happened with the elven "gods". Banter with Cole suggested he was trying to protect them somehow, and banter with the Inquisitor had him asking "what if you try and do right but it only makes things worse?"
You should, and you should also choose to turn him more human since that's probably where a good amount of the lil'l bro vibe is from. You get some insights into your other party members during banter as a bonus if you take him with you.
Solas, Quiz and Varric basically treats him like a little brother anyway.
If no other mod can possibly exist for this game, at least let us have something that skips Chapter 1: Wherein Cassandra Yells At You A Lot And Then So Does Roderick And Then You Close A Rift.
>romanced Dorian first two playthroughs
>be his bro on 3rd
>he's still moste
Are there any rivalry scenes other than drunk Cass and punching Solas?
Cole is just really sweet and useful in digging out important information about the characters that you wouldn't get otherwise. His mind-reading powers give him a ton of insight that helps flesh out the companions.
I think the reason people are so enamored with him is that he turned out to be 100x better than he thought he would be. But that wasn't hard considering everyone expected Colesteel.
People will talk about their favorite characters.
The game can be long. Not everyone has finished at the same time.
Let them be.
There's nothing wrong with it.
Only Cullen felt like a true bro and he was bugged for me. Cass cared but there was always this feeling she did because of what you mean.
Cole was little bro tier.
Reminder that Cass likes Hawke more than the Inquisitor, would rather fuck Hawke than the Inquisitor, and wanted Hawke to lead the Inquisition instead of the Inquisitor.
She would leave the Inquisitor for Hawke at the drop of a hat.
I could only find damning evidence to convict Gaspard. When you go into the court to close that rift you forfeit any chance of going into Celene's room and looking around. I was ever so pissed.
The impression I got from that quest is that all of them are assholes, but Gaspard is at least a somehow honest one. He also spent his time in the ball getting drunk, which is how I'd act too if I had to deal with DA nobles.
Oh well, at least Cullen seems happy with his new chevaliers.
He's a warmonger. I have no idea how anyone can miss that.
When you talk to him at the ball, he flatout says he plans to go back to invading and conquering other countries if he becomes the leader of Orlais.
I'm probably gonna go back to him on my next playthrough. With DAO and DA2 I did a playthrough with every LI just for the sake of completionism, but for I'm not getting that urge with DAI whatsoever.
How come nobody ever talks about who you're porking? I thought at least Cass would since she's the 2nd in command and wants to know everything, and Dorian and Viv since they're gossips.
Solasfags don't even call him moste. They know he's not moste. You can't drop an Inquisitor out of nowhere and still be called moste.
Everyone knows that Cullen and Dorian win that title and they admit it.
That anon is just really salty about Solasfags in particular for whatever reason.
One of them you have to go past the door that leads to Florianne's trap. The rest are straightforward. However, you can't open all of the doors so save your statues if you want to implicate Celene.
I asked this in a previous thread. However, when the first expansion/dlc comes out it'll probably be inevitable that more specializations are introduced.
Any particular specializations you'd like to see introduced? Or maybe some make a comeback from Origins?
I think he's moste in a way that makes sense with his romance and character arc but IA that Dorian and Cullen still beat him.
Let's all just get along.
They do in banters, and there are definitely acknowledgements about your relationship status in banters as well
I also had Blackwall asking if what he heard about Dorian and Inquisitor is true (as in they're in a relationship).
I think some people comment, just depends on who you're romancing. Dorian says your taste in strapping young templars is adorable if your LI is Cullen. And Leliana gives him shit at the war table for it.
>it'll probably be inevitable that more specializations are introduced.
I somehow doubt that. Mass Effect three received multiple new classes and abilities through the multiplayer. Shepard only had access to, like, 3 of those abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if we got similar treatment.
Nah, we're keeping all the old specializations with no updates. That said, I'd want Berserker back. That shit was nice.
I guess I'll have to put my faith into my advisors, once one of the lazy fucks comes back from their long ass missions
>abusing system clock
>deriving yourself the fulfillment of waiting 17 hours for a blue belt and 30 influence
I'm not too tempted to do a romance with anyone other than Solas because he turned out to be the most important companion for future DA shit.
I might try to roll with Cullen and Dorian at some point, though. The others can stay alone.
They were preparing an Awakening-like expansion for DA2 that would take the player to Starkhaven but all of that was thrown out the window and Inquisition was given the focus instead.
It's a possibility.
People are fucking around with meshes. Apparently this is Solas with Dorian's texture.
So far they're messing with Cullen and Solas.
>Cole: You’re happier now, Dorian!
>Dorian : Is that what that light, tingly feeling is? I suppose you’re right.
>Cole : Wishing but wondering, wounded and wistful, what if he doesn’t want me after?
>Dorian : But he did!
>Cole : And now you’re smiling, it’s good!
That sweet self-doubt
I wish the siblings were in DAI.
Imagine having to chose between Hawke and her sister/brother warden. I actually can see Hawke sacrificing herself no matter the choice.
>ancient elven armor isn't available as loot or as a schematic
I was really hoping Bethany would show up--even through letter correspondence--and be a utility the Inquisition could use. Hopefully she appears at Weisshaupt to help out Hawke once she hears there's no communication being returned. But, hey, she [and Carver] only get, like, one line of mention from Varric and then that's it so I doubt.
Don't know. Looking around the thread, they all look like that.
How about Cassandra?
>Cass: You’re smiling a great deal these days, Dorian.
>Dorian: I always smile, people like my smile; and they should! I have excellent teeth.
>Cass: Do you always do it while staring dreamily into the distance?
>Dorian: It depends how long until dinner.
I don't know about Beth, but there's a convo between Cass/Varric about Carver.
I hated they bought his va for the likes of Gartt and other random npc. I just wanted to see my brother one last time.
Sera comments on the Cass romance. THough it's confusing as shit.
Inquisitor: What are your thoughts on Cassandra?
Sera: THAWTS? SURE EYE GAWT THAWTS. KNOT LIEK YEWR THAWTS THO. THAWT YER WEY ROIGHT UP THERE.
Dalish master race
He wasn't trying to protect the "gods." He thought the elves deserved to live free rather than guided by mages masquerading as gods. The elves promptly lost all their culture and civilization and became hobos/slaves. He's disappointed his good intentions backfired so hard.
So evidently you can use cheatengine in the singleplayer quite effectively. I wonder if you can use it for the multiplayer as well.
Bioware seems incompetent enough to not have any detection for this sort of thing during multiplayer.
>BTW please refrain from using the mod tools to do rule 34 work. I know you girls wouldn't but to anyone lurking, this thread is for serious mods not for "rule 34" shenanigans
I didn't find Vivienne to be that motherthy. But Wynne, holy hell, I actually got pretty sad when I learned she died.
>tfw I saw her as a mother to my Amell >tfw she shows concern about your relationship with Morrigan but eventually apologizes and accepts that as long as you're happy, then she doesn't have a problem with it
"You're asking if I have thoughts about Cassandra. Yes, I do. However, they are markedly different from your thoughts regarding her. Indeed, it appears you have "thought" your way right into her bedchambers, ha-ha!"
Imagine Sera wearing a monocle and top-hat as she says this. It's kind of amusing, actually.
It means that she thinks of Cassandra in a completely different way than you do because you're boning her
mages masquerading as gods. The elves promptly lost all their culture and civilization and became hobos/slaves. He's disappointed his good intentions backfired so hard. We just know they had a stronger connection to the fade back then, Spirit Warrior says sup.
Though we don't know if the civil war among the elves started before, during, or after Solas sealed away the gods, so who knows when they started to lose culture.
What we do know is that when the humans came in and stomped/enslaved everyone it was after the elves had lost enough of their history that they couldn't even properly use blood magic anymore. Considering Solas refers to blood magic as not as bad as it is in the current game timeline, I wonder if perhaps modern blood magic is a perversion of the old kind.
Which also raises the question, Solas specifically points out that using blood magic makes you unable to walk the fade, yet we're to believe the Tevinter Magisters used a ridiculous amount of blood magic to reach the black city. What are the odds they didn't actually enter the fade but went somewhere different that has yet to be properly documented?
I don't understand!
The multiplayer top scoreboards occasionally spike with people who somehow received 500 levels worth of stuff in under a day.
Though the better cheaters are known to just host a match and give everyone invulnerability when it looks like a boss is about to wipe the group.
H-How is it?
Yes, that's my elf.
But I would welcome a trend of disney twinks.
This "Solas is an egg" thing on tumblr is getting weird.
>I asked Patrick Weekes over twitter about what happens to the Warden & Leliana's relationship if Leliana becomes Divine. Weekes & Sheryl Chee said to assume that at first, the Warden is a dirty little secret, which becomes an open secret, then Leliana changes the rules about the Divine & chastity/relationships, so they can be together openly
this shit needs to stop, we Dalish are a proud people of manly warriors, not a limp-wristed dancing troupe
I still don't understand...
Let him grow, man. He's adorable either way.
A SHEM NAME FOR A TRADITIONAL DALISH ELF. THAT'S THE FUCKING JOKE. ALSO VICTORIA IS THE TRADITIONAL NAME THE DIVINE TAKES. THE DIVINE REPRESENTS THE ANDRASTE AND THE CHANTRY. IT'S THEDAS' EQUIVALENT OF THE POPE. NAMING A TRADITIONAL DALISH ELF THAT FOLLOWSD THE ELVHEN PATHEON AFTER THE THE TITLE OF THE POPE OF THE OPPOSING BELIEF IS LAUGHABLE. THAT IS THE JOKE.
>Elves will never have actual testosterone
Solas took it all for himself.
Not like it had any real basis since there's no virgin mary comparison to be made with Andraste since had
Yeeeah it's weird.
I take back my ignorant statement, then.
Isabela turns down the invitation only when prompted by Hawke. He could also join in. Isabela herself says that she plays up all of those sex jokes for the hell of it and that she isn't as big of a skank she portrays herself to be but that one scene was off.
>Cole:Dorian, am I handsome?
>Cole:You always say you are handsome. Am I handsome too? I can't tell.
>Dorian:Well, you're alright. Might rethink the hats though.
>Cole:But I like my hats.
We are all bretheren and sisters in the Dalish, brother.
I'm afraid this shem's ass is interrupting our conversation
oh god what are you doing lol it's worse than 2 oh shiiiiiiit
So my inquisitor's parents gave her a comical relief name, stop bully pls.
Depends on how you play it. On PC with s keyboard and mouse? Archer only, melee will drive you mad. archer+stealth/melee+subterfuge is the way to go, with tempest being the broken spec.
What would you want for a Desire Demon?
It can make the people around you feel like you want them to feel about you
It can teach you shit
Eries Travelyan and Ylva Lavellan, so far. Not sure what to pick for my male Cadash.
defender of the faith/10, but tone down the lip gloss if that isn't the lowest setting.
Ok this scene was great
Man I'm sooo glad I've read Asunder and The Masked Empire before this game.
Varric's great, but being an Andrastian he will never be as close to the Inquizitor as he is to Hawke.
I'd say Bull, seeing as he drags you out for drinks and lets you slum around with the Chargers.
Dorian has the potential to be your bro, but you don't get as much bro-tier cutscenes with him, unfortunately.
Sometimes the lighting in this game looks really good.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by how kind Dorian turned out to be. He's nice to Cole when about half of your companions shun him, and he supports Blackwall after his fall from grace. He acts snotty, but his hearts is in the right place.
Solas always approved of me, tho. I could've taken Bull with me more places but you have to micromanage him because his A.I. is so shit.
Oh! So that's--oh. Alright. Thanks, bros.
The only way Solas' card changes before the end is if you romance him.
Using flask of fire will let you use focus abilities without spending focus. Tier 3 thousand cuts every 30 seconds is pretty broken. It wigs out occasionally though if you don't get the timing right.
I want her to manipulate Claudia Black into coming to me while being dressed up as Morrigan to tell me all about the world in her smart Morrigan voice. Maybe we can also ...
holds hands .......
Codex entries should be account-wide.
However, creature research should still start from nothing on new characters.
It probably isn't even possible to unlock all codex entries on one playthrough is it? Because of unobtainable books, e.g. if you do mage quest, then you're missing codex from templar quest
>Varric says something
>no one else does ever
>Varric's dialogue is glitched and he goes through the artificer dialogue every time I speak to him now
Imagine if they did that, like everyone else either left or refused to personally work with you so you could only choose Cole and Solas, and then postgame you'd be stuck with just Cole.
The reason they took it out was kind of bullshit. They felt that they wouldn't be able to accurately represent how your companions and npcs would react to you using it. So they got rid of it entirely.
It's a shame, too, because blood magic was my favorite part of Origins.
>mfw Dorian assumed they were together
Personally, I was hoping for a Blood mage Party Member like Meriall only you know. Not retarded. I would have preferred a blood mage who had to become one in order to escape the Nightmare at Kirkwall rather than using it to start it.
I'd also change the abilities from the normal to represent how it works so that you could hide it from people if necessary.
>destroy Sammy's armor
>it doesn't change visually
>he doesn't spend the fight half naked like a Soul Calibur character
what the fuck Bioware
She looks kind of like her older sister
Was Val Royeuax Fiona the envy demon or time travel?
The envy demon works because as soon as Lord Seeker leaves, Fiona shows up and tries to convince the Inquisition away from what's going on in Therinfall by leading them into Redcliffe which is setup to be a trap. Inquisition can die in the trap and Envy demon gets his stuff.
However time travel could work as when you ask her about seeing her in Vaal Royeuax she denies it but says she feels strange when saying it.
Aww man I wanna get all up in Morrichan's milfy bush
Sort of. I was going to make a new character for my nightmare playthrough but, in the end, I just went back to my original character. Thankfully I had the forethought to start that character on nightmare and keep a save during the prologue. I probably will make another Inquisitor eventually but it just won't be the same.
