In terms of how romantic and/or in depth it is, between Solas and Dorian, who has the better romance?


I haven't gotten very far, so I'm not sure, but people keep implying Solas is really important to the plot, so I don't know if that would make his romance better or if it's unaffected.

Also, do you actually have sex with Solas? He doesn't seem like the sex type to me.

Just got to Skyhold. About to spec into being a Templar but I'm unsure about re-rolling to be some kinda Rogue.

I'm fine with all the warrior companions, Dorian and Solas are okay, but Varric seemingly does fuck-all and Sera/Cole I just can't stand.

Are the rogue specialisations any fun? More fun than Templar?

Stories, characters, etc., "crafted" to be realistic and appeal for the audience. Not to force some agenda, no matter how good this agenda is. Video games is not a folklore fables that was used to pass free from man to man in form of telling stories. It's a commercial product, and people want something more or less realistic, not a world where shitton of races magically forgot what racism is.
Story about how racism\sexism\etc bad won't sell. Good story will sell. Story that solely relies on "we are so against racism, racism is so bad" is not a good story.
tl;dr: it's all about monies.

there's a lot of writers who do have an agenda, say, gaider and bw in general always say they want to be progressive. it's just that they don't have a full enough awareness to be trully progressive. if they thought deeper about what they're writing, they would've been aware of certain implications of their writing, and could've changed it if they wished.
for example, gaider said he didn't realize how offensive the portrail of trans women in dao and da2 would be to people, if he thought about it more carefully, he would've realized that without having to be told, and with that realization make an informed decision whether to write them the way they were written, or change the script.

So is there any way for your quarters in Skyhold to be fixed up like the rest of the castle? I've already done Adamant fortress and the ball, so all the scaffolding is gone from outside and the judgement hall, but my quarters still have torn up rugs and floorboards lying around, not to mention there's still things under sheets and scaffolding in the tower part.

I decided to help the mages in my second playthrough, but everything they did during this quest annoyed the hell out of me. They abused Alistair's hospitality, invited a Tevinter mage, covered in the corner the whole misiion instead of helping you and then Fiona just plays dumb and doesn't own up to everything that happened.
Then we got to Skyhold and the mages had the gall to complain that they didn't like their living quarters. At that point I said fuck you and reloaded an earlier save to support the templars again.
