The game doesn't tell you which these are, so even if you manage to get enough points for neutrality, if you don't finish those quests you still get stuck on law or chaos. It's a endurance march, the bosses aren't the thing that makes Nocturne hard on hard mode, it's the dungeons.

I swear these fucking demons get more and more aggressive with each instalment.

You go into the Amala Network 2 more times in the game. Both times aren't as bad as the first, so that's OK.
You'll be in the Ikebukuro Tunnels at some point, and you need to beat all the bosses in there for a Magatama. It is annoying as fuck to navigate, everybody hates it.
The Obelisk is cool as hell, but tedious in a good way: it makes you think to solve the puzzles, making it GOOD design. Yet it's also annoying as fuck cuz there are demons that can either completely magic or critical you to death there; not to mention the insane length of time it takes to get to the Fountain up in it. You'll be using your Retreat command over and over, while the enemies keep coming EVEN WITH ESTOMA UP!
Other than that, all the other dungeons that are at all significant have their own gimmicks. Some get tedious fast, some keep you thinking and engaged so much you grow to love em.

Hard mode is kinda exciting because half the battles start with the enemy party going first and like a third of those are back attacks. Scenarios where you almost die are pretty common and running out of resources spells death for you. Knowing what magatama to get is a skill too since the bloody things cost triple their price in normal mode.

Strength is useless except for a certain sword you can get in the endgame which requires 100 Strength to wield. If you want to go physical, pump up your Dexterity and Agility, since the damage done by physical skills benefits four times as much from your Dexterity stat than your Strength. It's stupid, I know, but that's how it works. I'd say magic and physical are equally viable, but magic is stronger in the early game.

Physical and gun skills are fucking great. Not the best early game since they're so stat dependent, but late game, you'll be getting critical hit on every attack and doing damage in the thousands (sometimes even multiple times for multiple hit attacks). I was killing some bosses in 1-2 turns.
