In case you haven't noticed, despite being a detective, Naoto doesn't seem to be particularly lawful. She's perfectly fine with hiding things from the cops, setting up a fake sorta-bomb-scare, carrying a gun, doing illegal interrogations, etc.

Which I suppose kind of goes with the detective characters she emulates. In the old stories they weren't exactly by-the-books types.

Look at how her fans behave too. there's no other persona character whose fans incessantly advocate how devoted they are to the protagonist. I like Aigis, and i get the feeling the obsession comes from the guilt she felt putting death in him and leading his parents to die. But her romance is very unnatural and forced to me. She's probably the biggest part of p3 that added to the wish fulfillment angle. Unfortunately this angle crossed over to p4 as well
