'EL ELOHIM ELOHO ELOHIM SEBADTH'
'ELION EIECH ADIER EIECH ADONAI'
'JAH SADAI TETRAGRAMMATON SADAI'
'AGIOS O THEOS ISHIROS ATHANATOS'
You can fuse any of the Fiends you've beaten.
Chemtrail drops 60 App Points
Matador drops an earring that's probably best in slot for everyone
White Rider drops an earring that gives you Victory Cry without using a skill slot
Red Rider drops a Soma and 10 of every Incense (effectively +30 to all stats)
Black Rider drops 300k Macca and 3 Gold Death Masks for 30k more
Pale Rider drops 3 Heavy Grimoire's (three free levels)
Trumpeter drops an earring with Enduring Soul and Repel Phys
Shiva is the last Terminal boss but IIRC you can fuse him before that. Seth can be fought in both Osiris quests. I don't think Vishnu is a boss.
Yeah. Matador is probably the best Fiend, at least to start with. Capote Earring gives you:
>+172 MP (most in game, tied with other Fiend earrings)
>Passive Draconic Reaction (Double auto Sukukaja on yourself at the start of every fight; this isn't a buff, so it stacks with Sukukaja and its ilk)
To top it off, in order to fuse Trumpeter you need all four Riders. To fuse Pale Rider you need Black Rider. To fuse Black Rider you need Red Rider. To fuse Red Rider you need White Rider. To fuse White Rider you need Matador. You're probably thinking "Oh, so I need Chemtrail to fuse Matador?", and you're thinking wrong, because all you need is Qing Niugai, Stonka, Catoblepas, and Macabre to get sexy spanish skeleton man.
Depends on the demons you have with you, but 85 is definitely doable. You need to groom your demons for each specific fight, and know if buffs will or won't work on that fight. Hint: Matador gets Dekunda and Dekaja, and uses Sukukaja, Taunt, and Antichthon. Silent Prayer is good here, Debilitate and Luster Candy not so much. At least he's weak to Electric so you have something to hit for press turns; unfortunately he also has 16k HP.
Good luck man, and remember: if it's your first time finding them and you die, you need to get sent back by Charon or you'll have to hope RNG lets you find them again. After you pay Charon the first time you can save and repeatedly fight, reloading the save if you lose, without them disappearing - but they still disappear if you leave the area IIRC.
Odin has Gun Reflect. I'm also trying to keep an all neutral party so Rangda will stay out unless I'm REALLY having a tough time.
But I'm wishing I wasn't keeping that rule. She's too convenient since she already comes with Debilitate...
Does anyone know the title of the song that plays during Matador's appearance?
It's not the usual boss appearance song. It's way better. I've been going through the nocturne OST but haven't come across it.
Nope. Somebody on Gamefaqs actually did the fucking math on the most efficient way to shave seconds off this process, but I just did it absentmindedly while watching the P4 Endurance Run until I heard Burrough's voice.
Fuck my life.
>Mister, he died for me when I didn't want him to. He's such a nice man. Why are you fighting him?
Burroughs sexiest voice ever.
Sorry Isabeau ;_;
>implying the last hope of all mankind is a vending machine
But yeah, he sorta is until he gits gud
gear. I'm still at Eridanus (Ouroboros 2nd Form), haven't played for a while. Whenever I should be playing SJ on my laptop, I play Space Station 13.
I'm looking up how to get it since none of the entries I have seem to be particulary powerful.
On the other hand it was Odin who carried the fight. Kind of a waste of XP since my other two demons bit it to the Almighty attack, but oh well.
Goodbye, Jimenez. You were the best bro and the ending I would have chosen if I wasn't tied to a self imposed arbitrary order.
Best chaos bro.
But you gotta admit, his battle theme is the best in the game.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Mirai anon.
He's one of the constants in the threads, and I like him for it.
I just wanted to use that kickass Maya pic.
My personal favorite Persona. The story and characters are great, but the gameplay can be boring. The dungeons are better than P3/P4, but not as good as P1.
I would recommend playing P1 before P2 because of recurring characters, but be sure to play the PSP version and not the PS1 version.
>You will never have a trap Nourisher
You're gonna love those.
Honestly if you can take a break from Raidou after you play 2 it would be really good for your enjoyment of the game.
Raidou 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Raidou 1.
Someone has a good Lilim or Moh Shuvuu password with Jihad, victory cry, salvation and energy drain?
>Wants an overpowered waifu demon
>Doesn't even have the balls to make it himself
You disgust me
Might as well generate your own password if you're sinking this low.
Threadly reminder, /smtg/ is a Pro-Burroughs club. You wouldn't want to post bad things about Burroughs here. Just imagine how much of a goofball you would look like for posting negative things about Burroughs in an Pro-Burroughs general such as this one.
>enter underground with party out of mp
>open the door
>get on the floor
>everybody die to the minotaur
recommended levels/creatures to defeat it? team is 11/12 now
Anything with Bufu helps, as well as having Jonathan in your party, but that's up to luck.
It's pretty much going to be this way until you get past Medusa, which isn't too far off.
>with party out of MP
that's probably the problem right there
fuse a spriggan with media and bufu, get dekunda to beat his war cry and debuff the shit out of him until he stops doing damage
I can't believe someone really made this comic. I can't believe someone seriously had this experience. I can't believe someone thought it'd be a better idea to run than to get better demons and skills on their MC. I can't believe I share this general with so many pokemon faggots now.
funny thing, I was trying to make a spriggan before I even knew what was behind the door, but there was a fusion error and I got an Ubu instead
and I can still use it even though it's ten levels above my player character, which is odd
have the ubu keep spamming toxic sting and tetanus cut until one or the other status sticks, it'll prevent minotaur from smirking
get bufu on yourself and on spriggan and you can get six to eight press turns a round
>Wanting zelenin dead
>not wanting to hug her
sweet. I'm pretty well set on the MC, have bufu +2 already
if one character demon whispers with you and you fuse them, the new creature should be able to demon whisper again, right? I have a Mothman which should add a level to bufu and maragi when that happens
Yes. This is how I got +8 Trisagion and Deadly Wind - I put them both on a Fuxi, registered it in the book, fought a guy and it instantly whispered both to me. Deleted him from my stock, resummoned him from book for a few Macca, repeat.
Hey, since SMTIV is coming out in a week, would anyone be interested in a spreadsheet of every demon with their level, their base stats, and all their weaknesses and resistances?
I found one online but it's not sortable, so I'm working on making it sortable.
>The entire story of Spiral Nemesis in Moon
>Lucifer, Satan, Michael, and Beelzebub bosses on all routes
>Vile/Soshin Bosses on Dark-Law/Chaos
>Seraph/Tyrant/Fallen Bosses on Light-Law/Chaos and Neutral
SHIVA HAS BEEN DEFEATED!
HOLY SHIT WHAT IS THIS FEELING
Chaos wins again
except when it comes to design
So I started DDS earlier - my first SMT game based on recommendations here and elsewhere - fun so far but I have absolutely no idea what to do with my mantras now that I've unlocked the ability to level them. I've been told its good to focus on the elemental tree opposite the demon's innate element, like go fire for Seph, but how far should I take it and should I make it my priority? Also should everyone have hunt abilities or what? Any general tips would be appreciated. I'm going wjth a magic heavy build for Serph at each level up I've already decided.
I almost wonder if Persona 3 or Nocturne wouldn't be better starts. They seem a little less intimidating.
P4 is easiest start, but VN gameplay isn't for everyone
I'd honestly recommend SMTIV, it's the gentlest introduction into mainline by only raping you for the first two dungeons (Upper and Lower Naraku)
Be sure each character has "Void [skill that they're weak against]". You can build up to higher skills later on, where eventually they can get a resist that is always active, but you won't need that for a long time.
I got by with only devour, but it does help significantly to get stronger hunt skills.
Build each character to how their stats are geared (build Serph however you want, gear Heat towards physical attacks, build argilla towards magic)
Also get boost skills and debuff skills (debuffs are in the expel mantras, I think boosts are their own)
Magic on Serph is fine, that's what I went with.
i like that, for whatever reason, i'm not the only one
I'd say give everyone a hunt ability. Ideally ever enemy in a random encounter should be killed by a hunt ability, you unlock mantras faster that way. Also hunt abilities deal almighty damage, basically non-elemental meaning it's almost guaranteed to deal damage if nothing else on that character's current movelist is working.
Also, like all MegaTen games, using buffs and debuffs are just as important as hitting enemy's weakness.
The difference with Minotaur is that at those low levels you have very few options. MC can't get Phys resist armor, and you only have two demons available who resist Phys (one of whom is level 1), and you have no way of Nulling Phys to steal press turns. You lack any form of MP recovery and you fight him after the 5th floor of Naraku, you don't have Concentrate or any buffs or debuffs that apply more than one buff or debuff at a time (whereas Minotaur gets War Cry), and you can get Walter for your partner which basically resigns you to taking a Smirked Labrys Strike.
Compare this to, say, King Kenji, who is a hard bossfight but you can get Fire, Dark, and Physical Null on your demons to steal press turns; you can give MC accessories to make Ancient Curse suck less or have methods of dealing with it like Amrita. Unless Kenji decides to spam Megidola, nothing about the fight feels unreasonable. Fighting Minotaur with Walter at a time when your demon and skill pool resembles the shallow end of a rain puddle can feel unreasonable.
this asshole literally soloed medusa for me
the AI in 4 can be very very dumb when it wants to be
Thanks guys, I'll definitely keep all that in mind. I already figured I'd be giving Heat physical stuff and the other two more magical stuff, but I'll probably spread some hunt skills out among them.
Yeah the school setting and VN stuff I'm not sure if I'll really be able to get into, but we'll see whenever I get around to those. I might pick up Soul Hackers or SMT4 since they're on sale on the eshop for pretty cheap at the moment as well.
Quick, possibly stupid question. Just started up the first Raidou game and I'm in town for the first time. Do demons eat up Magnetite just by being around, or is it only consumed when you summon them?
The whole world, save Tokyo, got BTFO by God's Wrath, which is mikado-talk for nukes. The Archangels, before the shit hit the fan, gathered up some people from tokyo and fucked off to the ceiling to make Mikado.

How terrible of an idea would it be to get into the franchise with SMT1 or even Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei?
once you get past the awful menus of SMT1 it's not a bad place to start and it will really make you appreciate how much of a step up 2 was
never played kmt so I can't comment on that one
Chaos: Top demons are nietzschean ubermensch that you "worship" in the form of looking up to and striving to be like. Very anti essentialist in that demons and humans aren't treated much differently. They should live together since anyone should just do anything. Thus low level ones are treated like your comrades. You worship high level ones together, while seeking to emulate them, and hopefully eventually become ubermensch yourselves.
Neutral: deistically. Neutral for the most part wants demons and humans to live separately. They accept that humans can draw inspiration from them from a difference, but want the relations to for the most part end there. Sometimes they vaguely have relations with a few demons who they respect more than others since those are the ones who keep away the ones who want to disrupt the separation of the human and demon worlds. Some neutrals might worship some demons. Some not.
Law: as "technical" equals, since the great will is seen as so great that everyone else should have a sense of humility in relation to it. "good" law demons are messengers who carry the divine light to humans, and may even represent it, but are not necessarily to be worshiped themselves separately from it. There are however some law "gods" who are payed respect individually from the great will, but this may be more akin to things like catholic saint veneration. law demons may help transform the world, but won't necessarily always live with humans.
Technically that kind of makes sense. "satan" in the sense of the law aligned one refers to samael. Which samael has hordes of interpretations of him obviously. Samael is also known as being teh consort of lilith. Lilith in older games appears holding a snake. That snake is samael, which is technically the same demon as satan. Making him appear as part of three different demons technically.
Mind you, the stories about "angel of judgement" satan usually aren't the same ones as "consert of lilith" satan, however. Since lilith was pretty much always seen as evil.
Mara also shows up in Eden as one of his footsoldiers, alongside many, many Divine demons.
I seriously lost count of how many Divine Forces kept showing up. Good way to get Incense and Jewels though.
Depending on your point of view, that one could ALSO be spun as making sense in an indirect way. Buddhism for some reason sways towards chaos in representation in the games. This is in part since law represents its spirituality as "complying with the universal order" and chaos represents its spirituality often as "breaking free from the detrimental samsara / demiurge / detrimental order / etc."
In Buddhism, you're trying to break free from samsara. Mara is trying to keep you bound to it. So you could arguably spin that as a form of evil law? Obviously in actual buddhism, samsara is seen as more chaotic, and your extinguishing could be said to be law. But either way.
It is kind of odd that both the "good" and "bad" buddhist things get shunted towards chaos.
I've beat all the PS2 games and ready for Strange Journey. I've started it up but am getting this weird audio glitch, keeps cutting in and out. Anyone got some settings I could try for emulation. Using DeSmuME
Also the text is really tiny and mashed together, is that how it was on the DS? Should I just buy this?
Is this the new icon of chaos?

personaso i thought i'd pick up an SMT game, chose nocturne
shit is weird man
spent two fucking hours trying to get out of the amala network fucking kill me
I want to know what the Majin Tensei manga is like.
I recall that one doujin that looks like it is base don it.
Etienne is Uriel
Ikki Minami is Zouchouten
Lucifer is the Dark Knight
YHVH is a dick.
I was feeling pretty good about picking up all the PS2 SMTs except Raidou for a good price today and then you had to go and post
> Catoblepas used Psycho Rage
> Catoblepas used Stone Gaze on the same character over and over until it hits
fuck that, he gets a guaranteed kill every turn, what do? I don't want to grind resist death on every character for one midboss
Sorry, went out for dinner.
Already been a few times to Akiba, so I know the place a bit. Still, so much shops, each selling so much things, it's not easy to know where to go for retro games.Looked online before, found a site with pictures of front and a map.
Also, because I don't speak nor read jap, I downloaded the covers of the games I was looking for, to look for them or show them to the staff if needed.
There was a lot of games, completes rarer than cartridge only, but still plenty of them. Could have bought all ff pre-7 or DQ for example, boxed and all...
So much timezones, friend.
Don't know of much a new game would cost. Those are used, but japs seems to really take care of their goods (unlike me when I was a child, so much wrecked SNES game boxes...)
I'm not him, but from his posts it seems he's still in Japan.
Used or new, I don't really care. I am not even interested in the cartridges, I just want digitalized versions of the boxes.
Also bought one of those full guide for Lucifer's Call(...) with maps, character descriptions, full compendium with stats, etc. for 300 yens. Used but great condition. Second hand stores are really cool here.
Shit forgot to refresh. Thought that there was something smelly going on here.
I'm sorry. I'm going to commit sudoku now. You're not going to miss me but aleast remember me as anon 84232937, the idiot.
Maybe, I don't know.
Really wish I have the time for it, but even for this trip, planned a long time ago, I didn't find enough time to learn more than kanas, which are useful, by the way.
It's one of those with "exclusive" Kaneko art in the cover? I remember seeing a magazine or guide with one of them.
Dunno about English, but it's pluralized in my language.
I don't know, but I don't think so.Can't take a pic now, my one year old is sleeping.
Anyway Japanese sells tons of guides for really cheap (like full color 500pages which cover everything for less than 2000yen(s) new), full of artworks and all.I really envy Japanese gamers.
Regarding my kid in particular it the game would have to be in French, which leaves us with...0 possibilities. SMTIV could have been a first before whatever went wrong between Nintendo and Atlus happened.
Same here. My Nocturne, DDS2, P3FES, P4, and all my other PS2 games' CDs and boxes are all in superb condition.
That's because unlike most people (read general population of America) I know not to break shit randomly at whim, thinking I can always buy another or more. I'm not fucking Luxuror scum.
But I keep reading posts about ordering online being better than simply going to buy yourself.
Are sites like Amazon and Ebay trustworthy at all? And if it says the game is in good condition, but comes to me as "barely broken", then what?
Because damnit I'm gonna get a part time job soon (when university stops devouring all my time), and once I have the cash
and I won't be seen as a Casualry Filth / poorfag, how should I go about ordering online?
I know the feel, man. I really do.
Huh. No wonder the importance of keeping the box stable for such a long time.
But yeah, once I get money, how should I start ordering online? Use which sites? Amazon? Ebay? Go with which sort of offers?
I'd really like some advice with all this, in advance.
Because it's not like I'm gonna happen across $50 just lying on the street at any given moment, or anything. No matter how much wealth symbolism says I have.
Horoscope sign = Taurus
Chinese Horoscope sign = Rat
Tarot Major Arcana = Fortune
Court card symbolizing me the most = Knight of Pentacles
All four of them relate to wealth in their own ways.
ALL FOUR OF THEM.
So am I destined to be fucking rich with ambiguous "wealth" 4 times over in the future, or some shit?
I'm genuinely curious if this shit applies to others on here. Because why the fuck not? Plus it's relevant; MegaTen has varying symbolism in every game in the whole franchise.
Or am I just grasping at straws?
I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been done yet
I don't understand how anyone can actually damage their games, you just keep the game in the case and put it on a shelf or something
I don't really order games online much but I once got Resonance of Fate in a case that had broken during transit because the dumbass just put it in an envelope.
I think I ended up stealing an empty PS3 case from fucking gamestop since they have thousands of them and just putting the game and sleeve in that.
I guess if you keep an eye on their rating then that should I've you an indication of their shipping quality
What a fucking faggot.
At least he has a weakness.
I equipped Seraph with the 4 turn ring,Gale with the combo ring and Argilla with the +20 ring.
Should i switch it around?
I dont get it.
People tell me to fight Demi-fiend but to avoid Satan.
From what I understand, Satan has mutliple points where he's neutral towards Gun damage (Bullets) and Phys.
Since he likes to use Hama a lot, and humans null Hama and aren't weak to anything, it helps a lot to have a gunner in the 3rd party slot.
Also I think the reason why Phys is used so often is because crits give half press turns, so you can easily get Satan to red HP.
>Demi-Fiend is a cheap bitch.
Read what Demi-Fiend's pixie(?) does when you leave it alive for 20 turns.
I think the game calls the one you fight a solar memory, so it's probably nothing but a temporary imprint and not the real thing.
See, here's how it is:
>Beating Demifiend and all Optional Bosses in DDS1 = you get previously unobtainable Karma Rings from certain midboss fights in DDS2 (the rings and what they do correspond to the optional bosses of DDS1), contributing to getting the ULTIMATE KARMA RING from that one scientist spirit in The Sun
>Mastering all mantras in DDS1 = +5 to all stats for all you party members in DDS2, making Hard Mode similar to Normal Mode early on, should you choose to use the save file bonus for Hard Mode. (Note, Hard Mode is still hell for the rest of the game.)
>Choosing not to betray Jinana in DDS1 = Seraph Lore, a super-powerful Expel spell for Argilla at the start of The Sun in DDS2
>Choosing to help Lupa in DDS1 = Pyriphlegethon (Yes that's how it's spelled), a super-powerful Fire spell for Gale at the start of The Sun
>Unlocking all the combos in DDS1 (this means you have to actually USE all the comboes ONCE each) = Contributes combo entries from DDS1 for comboes that aren't in DDS2 to your DDS2 combo list.
>Choosing "We will never join you" as a response to Margot Cuvier at the top of the Karma Society Tower, where you fight Heat = Reincarnate, a god-tier Almighty spell for Seraph, at the start of The Sun
>A series of answers to questions throughout DDS1 and DDS2 which I have no idea which questions or how to answer = Getting Heat to replace Roland once you arrive on The Sun. Heat inherits all of Roland's Mantras, so no worries.
>Completing the entire combo list in DDS2 (including the entries for comboes only accessible in DDS1, carried over with the complete save file bonus) = I have no fucking idea what this gives you, but it better be good. Oh, and to accomplish this, you need to do all the gun comboes with Roland AND Heat. Therefore, if you do NOT get Heat to replace Roland at the start of The Sun, you have officially fucked up two games' worth of preparation for this shit.
>I think the game calls the one you fight a solar memory, so it's probably nothing but a temporary imprint and not the real thing.
I realize. I was just asking about relative power levels. As a solar data of the real deal, would that make SMT II's Satan as strong or stronger?
>Beating all the Optional Bosses (may or may not include Satan) to unlock and master all the mantras = Again, no fucking clue what you get. It better be good though.
You forget God's Breath, Temptation, Retribution spam, etc. etc.
He has a pattern of weaknesses and such according to turn order, which the guide on Gamefaqs details accordingly.
Seriously, if you're even THINKING of taking on Satan, you need to read the fucking guide.
This anon (>>84242310) put it best. A solar memory, yet still more or less similar to the one Aleph fought.
And in Hard Mode, you WILL get ambushed, Mind's Eye and/or high Agility be damned.
Insta-gib rates are probably high too. So are chances of those fucking gaze attacks hitting (Hell Gaze and Stone Gaze, the Gaze Brothers that solely exist to FUCK YOU OVER, which when you try them yourself barely do shit half the time). Fun.
Note: Extreme Sarcasm in regards to the so-called "Fun"
I hope I've been of some help, Anons.
>How do you get Seraph's 99MP almighty nuke again?
>Choosing "We will never join you" as a response to Margot Cuvier at the top of the Karma Society Tower, where you fight Heat = Reincarnate, a god-tier Almighty spell for Seraph, at the start of The Sun
That's the one.
Again, read all the shit I just posted.
It's all there. Everything that I could think of that tes the two games together in terms of carry-over bonuses or hidden bonuses.
>Forgetting Uber-Pixie has Mediarahan in Nocturne TDE
I hope so too, Anon. The most likely thing to screw you over in terms of completing DDS1 100% are those comboes. Which you need a list of from Gamefaqs or someplace to keep track of them.
Also, Pyriphlegethon is a badass name.
She probably does.
And we'll never see it. ;_;
So Mind's Eye and either void Death or void Expel+a magatama that nulls the other until I get my paws on Masakado. Oh well, if I didn't want to get my nuts crushed to a pulp I wouldn't be playing hard mode clean.
The DDS1 Cerberus design suddenly makes sense. Fucking thing swims in lava.
Never waste level ups in Nocturne. Especially in Hard Mode.
Keep a defensive Magatama (one with appropriate resistances) equipped at all times until you're close to a level up. Switch to a Magatama that has a skill you want / is one that you want to max out, only when you're sure you'll level up in the next few fights or so.
Save frequently, cuz if you get the level up on your defensive Magatama, and it has no other skills to teach you / you're not at the level to learn a skill from it yet, then that there is a "wasted level".
That's when you reload your previous save, and micromanage better this time.
Lupa's Atma is named "Lava Flow" for exactly that reason, as well.
Glad you learned something new, Anon.
Vit = Str > Sp >>>>>> Mag = Lu
Just make sure you have something other than all phys, like having Tornado or Glacial Blast or something, at least until you get an Almighty Phys attack.
I wonder what sex with Merkabah would feel like.
You won't have the luxury to grind for Macca on Hard Mode unlike Normal Mode, unless you save like hell even more (seeing as the Kalpas are the best place for that sorta shit, and the only save is at the start of the whole Labyrinth, well...) and have a good stockpile of items for when shit goes wrong.
And trust me. On Hard Mode? It will.
And you'll need the reduced compendium cost to avoid spending the majority of your Macca on demon summoning, letting you save more over for necessary items.
Items like Wagtail Plume, which you probably never use or buy on Normal Mode, become useful on Hard Mode for what you can do with them. You'll need to raid Rag's Jewelry to get items like Pot of Death, Mirrors, etc.
Wagtail Plume as well as Charm status in general is OP as Fuck. Abuse the hell out of situational and unused items as much as you can.
This anon (>>84243959) is probably right. I've never tried Hard Mode on Nocturne yet, but once I 100% the compendium, I'll probably do a run of it with the compendium discount bonus.
>Not wanting to marry Kikuri-Hime and spend your life with her
>Wanting to fuck YHVH's Car instead
Whatever you want them to be, I guess?
Personally, having a balanced build of St, Ma, and Vit (all 3 at 15?) until you get to the Obelisk (where you should be tearing through Nirvana to get Divine Shot, then rushing 30 St and leveling Ag) is good, maybe.
Again, never played Hard Mode. Just suggesting ideas.
An Elemental attack (Tornado)
An Elemental attack (Your pick)
Which game has your favorite demon fusion animation?
Damn,Seth got lucky and hit my entire party with Critical attacks after 6 minutes in the red life zone.
I equipped Gale with Null critical and Life Gain.
How much HP does Seth have when he enters the danger zone?
But the Satan guide here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/924460-shin-megami-tensei-digital-devil-saga-2/faqs/44308
>Like the other bosses, Seth has a certain way of being beat. A certain
stradegy that is almost IMPLIED in fighting him.
Seth is weak to bullets, of all things. Everything else is fine (except earth)
but it'sthe bullet weakness you have to shoot for. Get it?
So the strategy revolves solely around Seraph shooting magatama bullets.
Clearly have him in human form, ou probably have enough room for the skill.
Puthim in front with the Dual Ring. This means he can attack four times
every round if he so chooses. This rate of weakness-striking means that
on a turn that has everyone on the field, everyone goes at least twice.
Give Seraph High Critical, Counter, and MAX/MIN Critical to maximize his
damage output. Obviously, fight Seth at the appropriate Solar Noise.
Make the Charge combo available, too (see the Satan section on details)
andgive the Synchro Ring to one of the other members to waste only
one-half pressturn doing it.
I suggest having Pyriphlegethon around as well as the third members' best
elemental attack. Mind Charge is nice and Last Word is not a bad idea
either. This makes using Argilla alot easier.
Give someone Mediarahan. It will help.
Actually you want the bullets you get from Vishnu which has a power of 300 (as opposed to 200)
But yeah other than that that's what you want.
Soloing Seth was just a nightmare though
Jesus, I wasn't aware of any of this. Playing DDS for the first time at the moment. Should I even bother worrying about any of this stuff my first time plaw through or just wait until I want to replay it sometime?
Make sure to read all my posts, and not just that one, for more info.
Are you playing blind or not?
If you are, I'm sorry for the spoilers.
Just beat Red Rider but only after changing difficulty to normal. He was really a joke compared to hard. I don't even want to know what his damage would've been on easy.
Now I don't know if I should save or not. Somehow my autism doesn't let me feel the satisfaction of beating that faggot,
Yeah, you're right. I think I challenge him some more, and in the case he manages to finally mind break me, I should be able to beat him on normal again without too much trouble.
That's a relief but my problem is that I don't plan to do Neutral route again (or any time soon). This is my second play through (did a fresh start after getting best ending) and I still have to go for Law and Chaos endings.
Which fiends are actually worth making and keeping in Nocturne? I remember being pretty disappointed by Matador and Pale Rider while Daisojou somehow stayed on the time for the whole game.
I used Daijoubro for the whole game too and did use Mother Harlot for a while. Can't remember anything about the skills though except Daijoubros HP/MP drain and that Prayer.
Sorry that I'm not a big help.
BEACH QUEENS - Persona 4 The Golden: Chie Satonaka 1/10 Complete Figure
How old are you? Get a credit card with a low limit.
Amazon should be fine, esp if you have it fulfilled by them specifically. The one time I ordered outside, the company sent the wrong version of the game and issued a full refund.
Mama Harlot hits 7~10 times, not sure which, with pierce and Focus she's hilarious.
The Trumpeter has all the Ma-spells+Debilitate and Holy/Evil Melody built in so it's a matter of pick and chose with him.
Black Rider is actually a pretty good caster from what I remember.
Red Rider has awesome resistances and a decent MP using physical.
Pale is bleh as Pestilence doesn't hit hard enough and he doesn't have anything else to offer.
Never used White.
Matador is cool until you realize his Red Capote doesn't buff the whole party.
Hell Rider seems cool, I'll try him out this run.
Daisojou has Meditate+Prayer from the get-go, just get a couple of buffs/debuffs on him and he's good to go for the entire game.
Dante would be cool if I could stuff him full of mitama, his skill-set is pretty fucking good though.
BEACH QUEENS - Persona 3 the Movie: Mitsuru Kirijo 1/10 Complete Figure(Preorder)
I'm just dumping new SMT related pre order from Ami, of course shit is all Persona
Still, it's fun to look at merch
Persona 3 the Movie - Trading Metal Charm Strap 10Pack BOX

Persona 4 The Golden - Trading Metal Charm Strap 10Pack BOX
And like, placemats or card mats or something, who gives a shit.
What should I name my Persona 3 FES character?
This is my first Shin Megami Tensei game too - though I played DemiKids ages ago I vaguely recall, but that doesn't count I don't think - any tips I should know? Friend told me buffs and debuffs are very important, as well as having multiple Personas that cover a variety of elements and resistances. The time limit is the only thing I'm worried about screwing up.
Try DICKS or FUCK if you're feeling immature, otherwise just pick at something at random.
Try to do everything in a single day and try to ambush every shadow in your way, I think the time limit for the reaper to appear is 10 minutes per floor. The Reaper isn't really all that big of a deal once you hit 60-66, usually beat him with a Boost+Amp+Mind Charge build Seth every playthrough I did. By end-game you're going to be doing most of the work while your party members are best used as support.
For outside Tartarus stuff FES is much easier than vanilla so if that's what worries you it shouldn't be an issue.
Dungeon-wise if you visit Tartarus just enough it'll give you plenty of levels to deal with the bosses.
Not to defend terrible game design, but it honestly isn't that big of a deal, hit weakness and heal/support were usually enough to keep my party from acting stupid most of the time. Still
Oh and before I forget, Full Moon bosses are easy as shit compared to the ones in Tartarus, as long as you don't go full retard you'll win.
Compare him to mama Harlot.
It's almost as if that's the theme of the games!
Sorry, sorry. Yeah, it's reincarnation. Souls full of regrets bound to Earth, getting an unusually better deal than most reincarnated being as in they simply get to live a new life together, in peace.
And Gale gets to enjoy his futa waifu.
ripping it right now - wasn't able to find disc 2 anywhere online. also gonna scan the manual but it's pretty unexciting
>First Raidou game
>Having psychic conversations with a dog
>He shares his dream of returning home
>Asks me to share my dream
>I have to type in a dream
Does what I type actually affect anything? Thinking I'll just put Freedom
>Moloch is a reindeer
Also Pwotagonists younger brother is a boss fought twice after Moloch kidnaps him.
Oh and I want to know what Zeus, Angra Mainyu, Ahura Mazda, and Mastema looks like.
So do you guys recommend Devil Saga as a good intro game? Thread on /v/ the other night made me interested in the franchise, but I couldn't get an answer before it 404'd. The anime high school stuff makes me a bit hesitant to try the Persona games.
Some of the things they say as they're being fused imply they cease to exist in their previous form and the new demon is something else entirely.
But then there's things like Nocturne's Pixie.
Another question you should be asking yourself is how does fighting several copies of the same very unique demon work. Are they all the same? Are they different? Why are they different?
There was that one river in I think SMT II where you have to bring Astaroth to split him into Ishtar and I don't remember what else, that touched onto that subject a little. Can't remember the details though since it's been ages since I played the game.

>not Beatrice so he can have some really sweet time with Dante
It's a Japanese thing.
Take the name John Smith
Generally they use last names when talking to someone, iirc. But close people will call you John-kun or whatever.
A nickname... the best comparison would be like Mark in Persona 1. Or maybe you have a weird friend named Josh, but his nickname is Lefty.
I think it's in place due to how much more formal Japanese is.
I didn't mean to imply you didn't know what a nickname was; it was just me bumbling trying to explain it how the Japanese seem to use it.
I know the earlier Persona games have it for no real reason, I just assume the same is applied to the others.
I'm just wondering what I should enter for my nickname. I don't want to be called Frogger or Bob in my superior nipponese role-playing game.
This was easier in Persona because they had names in the other adaptations and sequels.
>It's a Japanese thing.
Let's suppose your name is Michael, would everyone call you that, even your close friends? Would nobody call you Mike? Gabriel, Gabby? Raphael, Raphy? Uriel, Uri? YHVH, God? Lucifer, Lucy? Alice,
It all depends on the individual, the demon, and the process.
Atma Avatar usually leaves the human with a strong will as the dominant one, but some have identity crisis like one Solids over being black or Cu Chulainn, and then you have Beelzebub and the Four Archangels who overwrite their original human self.
Red Pills makes people into demons, but removes their anxiety, while having a connection to a demon before using the pill increases the chance of becoming that demon at the cost of possibly destroying most of that human's original self.
Those with strong wills are also likely to end up dominant in the fusion process, which is why humans tend to be in control after fusing with a demon. As the summoning program requires you to have a strong will in the first place.
>Freedom + Utopia not better than Rules and Regulation + Utopia
Light-Chaos is objectively the best alignment.
Collecting the Tae Sticks and telling her she's my type was SO worth it.
MTIISN has the best Light-Law alignment as you get to kill all the Archangels and Satan. Even Gabriel.
He was a cute french boy named Etienne Alphonse something something in Majin Tensei.
The japanese wikipedia has his full name.
Plus he looks better than his archangel form, which is just a palette swap of Michael with different hair and colored skin.
Goddammit, I love the way everything looked back in the olden days of vidyagames. Poofy jackets, pants up to your fucking nipples, etc.
I wish Kaneko made designs for some of the side games, as I do love a number of the MTIISN ones.
Unlike Majin Tensei, where almost all the designs are from SMTI+II and is made almost completely of palette swaps.
As many as he wants.
Can't wait to see what design they go with for his appearance in Side C of Imagine. Satan will also apparently appear.
>Kudlak is a cutie Law bird in Devil Children
>Kresnik is your typical Law bird.
>SMTIV Neutral route, Purgatorium
>Use last Press Turn on Turn 1 to use an Attack Mirror
>Aniel cuts himself to ribbons
>Everyone regained their composure (and MP)
I didn't know that could happen. But boy was it hilarious.
>Jack Frost was unaffected!
>Jack Frost smirks!
>Jack Frost used Cold Reply!
>Press turn halved!
>Jack Frost used Troll Reflect!
Imagine this, then look at the pic.
The joking aside, nice trick you pulled on Aniel. (Especially the MP recovery you get out of it).
>"Huh!? I'm to be fused with another demon *sigh* I'd rather have fused with you..."
>tfw you'll never "fuse" with Lilim
Sometimes their will carries over, other times it is likely a partial fusion, and others it is a completely different demon.
Demons fusing with each other is more flexible concerning who the resulting demon might be.
The best answer I can give you is that demons have no idea what it's like until after it's done and any ideas they may have of it (sex, death, rebirth, or whatever else) are hearsay or conjecture, like children trying to imagine what having a baby is like.
>he said in an interview a while ago that we still havn't seen his true form
>kaneko being a cocktease
>implying a megaten game will actually deliver on this after 4 did(n't)
>implying there will be another mainline game
>just fanwank something
And then he transformed into a second form, meaning that Squidward wasn't his true form.
Or that time in King Abaddon he called his angel form his truest form.
Or the times before where he takes his true form.
I want to fuck mirai-anon father in law.
Different ones give you different skills when you level up and are high enough level for whatever skill. The magatama shaking on the menu screen indicates you're high enough level to get a skill from it. You can only get those skills once.
What are the mysteries of this sprite? What is it trying to express. His other sprites look angry, or wrathful, and those are the ones people most often remember. But this one looks like practically a trollface. Its like a great sense of humor like he's fucking with you and having a great time doing it.
It is. He was either talking about Fog Breath, which anon couldn't get any time soon if he's that early on and is frankly a bit to mana costly for that level anyway, or he meant Iyomante.
>trying to get a fiend to spam in smtiv
who thought THIS was a good mechanic
it's the game, yeah. never realized ronde was two discs until i was going through the data on disc 1 a while back and noticed that i couldn't find the cutscenes for the endings, then a friend of mine was playing through it and got to a disc swap.
