Nah, basically the MC's girlfriend is called Arietta, which is contracted to Ari in the translation but in jap, together with her surname, makes Al Fine, which is a relevant name outside of its musical meaning.
Of course it makes more sense how the translator did it, but kills the purpouse, so it was unavoidable.

Most of the time you need a person skilled into hacking a vn's engine and you need a fluent translator. People who can do both are rare. Hell without anyone to pop those translations into the vn's in the first place all those translators wouldn't even be able to do shit besides posting the scripts around in text files.

I'm wondering why my OBS recording isn't as good as my Bandicam recording. The OBS's audio has a lot of background static or something, and the beginning transition is a bit choppy. Framerate gets noticeably worse for more resource-intensive games like Twinkle Crusaders, but shit runs just fine on Bandicam without me changing any settings.

I just had way too much fun with it. I am probably a huge sucker but I was completely pulled into every emotional, hotblooded, etc. moment in the entire story. I do think one or two routes could have been better but I thought overall it was a great experience.

How well it works varies from VN to VN. From what I've tried, Inganock, Wanko, and Niji no Kanata ni have very few problems, but Higurashi, Umineko, and Tsukihime are buggy or don't work well in that format. There are also some games that were ported for smaller screens in mind so they will look like shit on tablet and maybe some phone screens. Give it a shot, because for the VNs that do work, it's a very comfortable experience.

Regarding the replaced tracks, I think that the ones that MG selected are actually pretty nice and fit well within the game. I don't feel like my experience was negatively affected because of it because I thoroughly enjoyed reading Higurashi. I still remember how I cut on my sleep just to read more of it.
