Any damage dealt that is 50 or less gets nullified. How do you know that the damage is definitely more than 50? The enemies that most likely have Battle Aura are the leaders of the enemy party. So long as they have demons the Leader takes reduce damage. Battle Aura also affects the everyone in the party.

In a variable width font you can set a different width for each character, so you save a lot of space and it looks prettier.

AGTP's if... translation hacked VWF into the game, but originally it used the same font as SMT2.

Well I haven't really started working on it with them yet, so I don't know, but as I understand it, for the most part the PSX script will be re-used, sans the American names. That translation is actually quite good.

Uh well, I have no idea how long actually getting the VWF sorted out would take, but other than that it's mostly a matter of insertion, formatting, and then testing.

Insertion takes longer than you'd think and isn't as simple as just copying over what I've already written down because it's formatted differently. For examples, the first 'block' has 5000 lines, and I've replaced 2550 or so lines in the past two days. I don't know how many blocks there are either, but that part shouldn't take more than a week or two depending on how fast we get them out.

Ideally, I would like to finish the patch before the end of this year.

In regards to sword fusions in Soul Hackers: are there any in particular I should keep an eye out for? I just finished the Amami Float dungeon and made myself a nice new elec-element sword because my old wind-element sword was falling behind.

Other than the UI and compendium, some improvements were made to the nearly-unusable negotiation system present in the Saturn version to bring it up to at least SH's level, and loadtimes were improved significantly. Watch any video of the Saturn version, then watch a similar video of the PSP version and you'll see what I mean. Even a simple enemy encounter takes a good 3-5 seconds to get going.
