I just got the hydra head. What am I supposed to do now? Should I meet Mercedes at the castle as instructed or do side quests?

As soon as I stepped outside the fort, some guy asked me to come to the Cassardis pier at night to rescue Quina. Then as soon as I stepped into town some guy asked me to clear out the sewer. Tried that, got my ass beat by lizardmen.

Then on my way to the pier some lady asked me to gather flowers, tried that, got my shit pushed in by some asshole bandit leader wearing the boar helm from Dark Souls (his goons were such pushovers I thought we could take him).

After dying twice I decided to try rescuing Quina but couldn't figure out how to wait till night and didn't feel like doing it manually.

Do I just go to the castle now or am I supposed to do all this other shit?

So what is ytour favourite Vocation thread? I'm playing for the first time and trying them all out (stat gains be damned) and i'm not really finding any particular one that clicks with me.

I really want to like the warrior but for the most part I feel a little...outclassed by enemies and hitting shit with a sword only seems to go so far. Do the warrior skills really let me start bisecting shit?

Warrior is fun for a while, do it but it gets old. Fighter is way more mobile and is fun for that, also perfect blocks. On sword Assassin right, Windmill and gouge are great fun but I can't get used to the bow, now and might switch to Ranger

Have any of you ever seen a pawn using instant reset consistently? Also, between deathly arrow and great gamble, would the former be preferable if my pawn doesn't have yet a lot of stamina and good bestiary knowledge?

Just ran into a Cursed Dragon for the first time in Pilgrim's Gauntlet, killed me and my party two or three times each before I just decided to run away because it had only just taken one health bar worth of damage.

Anyone know if there's any particular way to really hurt those guys? I had Holy Affinity on a pair of Dragonforged Dragon's Vein daggers and was Thousand Kissing the shit out of his heart but it wasn't nearly as effective as I'd hoped.

I went to see the Duke and the NPC warned me all my quests will fail and stuff like that

My only quests right now are killing Golems, Chimeras, Crows, Rabbits, bringing some kept meat & fish back, giving Selene a King's Bay Leaf, 20x seeker's tokens and 50x war bungles. I've done all other quests so far.

I could switch to Ranger and farm the crows and rabbits, but I've no idea how to complete the others right now.

Playing for the first time, just met the Duke. Only been tipped off about Legion's Might, but at this point I basically feel like a god even with my terrible gear.

Does High Maelstrom still kill entire packs of mobs in 1 cast even in the DLC area? Late game areas / Post game? Shit is beyond overpowered at the moment for me.
