Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

So what's the relation between Madeleine and Salvation? Clearly she is guilty of helping them right? Why would you help that lying slut then? Madeleine is just a shitty character all around and it seems the only thing people like about her are her monster tits which are pretty ugly desu.
>make manly musclefirl warrior pawn
>rarely gets hired, only 3/3/3 or bad appearance ratings when she does
>make her face a bit more feminine
>equip silk thong and other slutgear
>suddenly getting 5/5/5
would anyone bother hiring this one?
lvl 63 scather mitigator with dragonforged armor and sword
Reposting from old thread
I just finished Deny Salvation, then I continued to explore the great wall castle and walked into the basement. I accidentally activated The Final Battle and it got autosaved.
Am I fucked? Can I somehow undo it?
>small, adorkable warrior who cares for her attire instead of being a massive slut
>okay sense of fashion
I'd hire you without delay if you turned up into my rift, Anon.
>Want to make my pawn look good.
>But don't want to miss of the resist bitterblack 3 armors have to offer.
Like I said, sick-ass air combos. Plus because I think the others make the game a bit too easy, and I like trying out the lesser used skills.
Fun fact: Snakebite is incredibly useful in BBI. Unlike in the normal game where it only works on enemies you can't clime, Snakebite works on enemies as big as the Eliminators and Golden and Silver Knights.
I just got the hydra head. What am I supposed to do now? Should I meet Mercedes at the castle as instructed or do side quests?
As soon as I stepped outside the fort, some guy asked me to come to the Cassardis pier at night to rescue Quina. Then as soon as I stepped into town some guy asked me to clear out the sewer. Tried that, got my ass beat by lizardmen.
Then on my way to the pier some lady asked me to gather flowers, tried that, got my shit pushed in by some asshole bandit leader wearing the boar helm from Dark Souls (his goons were such pushovers I thought we could take him).
After dying twice I decided to try rescuing Quina but couldn't figure out how to wait till night and didn't feel like doing it manually.
Do I just go to the castle now or am I supposed to do all this other shit?
You'll figure it out someday anon.
Bought this game 2 weeks ago, 100 hours in.
I still can't recruit a pawn online and have to be offline to access the rift or it's stuck in a loop with "accessing server". This is the only thing that doesn't work in this game and it fucking sucks, any way to solve it ?
What's a good point to start exploring then? If I wait will my side quests and shit expire?
I know how to use the quest log, I'm just not sure if I should do the main quest right now.
Hi friends, so i have a hope of making my pawn and arisen two hammer acrobats who just jump around using Corona, Exodus, And Catapult blade, just bashing the shit out of everything. Bash and Crumble, THE TWIN HAMMERS.
Is there actually a way to make the pawn use catapult blade properly?
Anyone wanna use my pawn? I'll use yours, too. Really need Rift Crystals, lmao.
is it best to run less spells on a sorc in hopes that they will cast the objectively "better" ones more?
I mean, what do I really need besides High Gicel, Maelstrom, and Seism
So what is ytour favourite Vocation thread? I'm playing for the first time and trying them all out (stat gains be damned) and i'm not really finding any particular one that clicks with me.
I really want to like the warrior but for the most part I feel a little...outclassed by enemies and hitting shit with a sword only seems to go so far. Do the warrior skills really let me start bisecting shit?
It makes you stab things wonderfully faster, what's not to like? Unless you need space for instant reset or invisibility or something. Rarely use it though as most things die really quick anyway.
the gang's all here
somebody hired my pawn, the redhead, and got 100k RC and then rated her 1*s across the board. why
>use all of what little RC I've earned on pawn
>arisen has been wearing the same gear for two days now
Hopefully my pawn stands out among all the BBI3 armor while still having plenty of immuniities.
No reason you can't explore now, till you do the hydra-head escort you won't be able to explore past the gate. I'd just say poke around for a while, gain some levels, do some quests and get your equipment up to par.
I'm just dissing the constant array of slutty pawns that turn up every now and again in the game, Anon. She doesn't look like a girl made for groupies, but she doesn't look the type to have a chastity belt either, is all I'm saying.
To be brutally honest, the only kind of pawn I even go for at this point is male ones, since they're exempt from that sort of bullshit, as well as being way more funny/interesting in their fashion or design.
Funnily enough, they're also better at their jobs than most female pawns I hire as well.
This might be kinda useless in open spaces, but I'm keeping it anyway.
Warrior is fun for a while, do it but it gets old. Fighter is way more mobile and is fun for that, also perfect blocks. On sword Assassin right, Windmill and gouge are great fun but I can't get used to the bow, now and might switch to Ranger
Fuck guys, i used to play ranger, had loads of fun, did fucking huge damage, but heard it was good to level up different vocations to get some auguments. I did this, leveled up as warrior, and it was pretty fucking fun, big weapons, big damage! I was looking forward to playing assassin, heard it was awesome, but man, i'm doing NO fucking damage. What am i doing wrong? Im playing with daggers, and people are jerking off over hundred kisses, but it barely does any damage, what gives? should i play with swords instead?
Beating up Feste while nobody was watching was well worth it.
And it happened again during that fight.
pls rate and berate
Where's that place?
Summoner vocation never. Forget Pawns, I want an army of skeletons.
>that pawn jumping off the ledge
This shit happens nearly every time I open those chests. Same with the one on the way to the Midnight Helix.
At least they're both close to rift stones.
r8 my arisen
I previously had Pigtails, but changed it, I am still trying with different hair styles
>tfw your little mage pawn puts her arm in front of you to protect you in this cutscene
she's a 2 meter tall warrior but it's close and cute enough, pic related
Do you guys recommend checking quests off of a list so that I don't miss any of them? Or should I just play the game without worrying about it? I don't think I plan on playing more than one play through.
Does any other sword even come close?
model swap this for bitter end when?
I see people posting pics of their hires and the insane amount of rc they get afterwards. If you get over 100,000 rc each day from hires can you post a pic of your pawn and all their stats and gear? I never get any hires and it's starting to frustrate me. I just made my pawn into a loli because I cant purify any of my bitter back shit yet. Hoping people will hire now.
>Was our best warrior
>It was a pleasure
Anyone want to hire my Pawn and see how he is?
They get that many rents because they shill their pawn here and on reddit and anywhere else they can
Pawn quality doesn't actually mean shit beyond 5-10 rents per day, it's all about online circlejerking if you want to go beyond
Holy fuck, I think I just found my favorite combined attack.
>Level 46 alt on a different steam account
>Guard farming to get the last vocation rank for MK before going into the everfall for wakestones
>Main pawn is a sorc with bane archistaff (sent myself cursed items from my main to give my pawn a bit of an edge)
>Loves to cast high miasma, takes out the guards right quick
>Never really played around with GC spam, my MK on 360
>Try it out, stack a couple cannons, works alright, need to try it against larger stuff tom make a decision
>My pawn casts high miasma on top of it
I can't wait to try this shit out. Does the augment from mage increase how long the cannons stay active, or just my enchants?
They paid her to bring shit into the capital. She didn't know what she was bringing in and didn't care, she just wanted the shekels. The info that she passed on to Julien in their scene (for a profit) was what she had been doing for salvation.
First time playing, first pawn, first ever hire
I only just did that quest where you go back into the well and then my pawn returned with a wakestone and knowledge of everything I haven't seen
High voidspell is a must. I'd also argue for high fulmination, the buff side lets physical classes hurt second stage living armors and will stunlock them and other enemies most of the time, and the places where elder ogres show up are small enough to be stunlocked, locking down the whole room.
only works in bbl 2.0
>walk into garden of ignomity (only works if saurian's spawned in the first part)
>kill mobs in courtyard bit
>place bait meat (death will spawn)
>bull him back to the coridoor staircase you just came through
Scroll down, there's info here. Pretty easy, just make sure you've got the periapts.
Have any of you ever seen a pawn using instant reset consistently? Also, between deathly arrow and great gamble, would the former be preferable if my pawn doesn't have yet a lot of stamina and good bestiary knowledge?
Just ran into a Cursed Dragon for the first time in Pilgrim's Gauntlet, killed me and my party two or three times each before I just decided to run away because it had only just taken one health bar worth of damage.
Anyone know if there's any particular way to really hurt those guys? I had Holy Affinity on a pair of Dragonforged Dragon's Vein daggers and was Thousand Kissing the shit out of his heart but it wasn't nearly as effective as I'd hoped.
Oh hey, I've hired that pawn a couple times
Also don't forget the even lazier asses that just brine pawns when they want to get rid of them.
My pawn uses it consistently but you have to train them so they know to use it well. Deathly Arrow is better for a low stamina/Bestiary pawn since Gamble does it's damage through high stamina and hitting weak points.
Need a /fit/ brown Amazon around Lv100 either a Fighter or Warrior.
Going to complete the game then farm Offline Urd for dragonforged items.
I went to see the Duke and the NPC warned me all my quests will fail and stuff like that
My only quests right now are killing Golems, Chimeras, Crows, Rabbits, bringing some kept meat & fish back, giving Selene a King's Bay Leaf, 20x seeker's tokens and 50x war bungles. I've done all other quests so far.
I could switch to Ranger and farm the crows and rabbits, but I've no idea how to complete the others right now.
>tfw you couldn't sell your long-deceased husband's gear but your Chicken Soup game so strong it could bring folks back to life
So it turned out as a first playthrough I fucked up hard and end up with Aelinore as my beloved. At this point I wanted to just sacrifice her to the dragon just to see the ending.
Should I do it? I can have another try for a perfect playthrough in NG+ right?
>training your Fighter pawn into an unstoppable death machine
Feels fucking great
Is that suppose to make me give up?
I managed to make my way into the Vault of Defiled so far. Even defeated the mimic and dick ass skeleton knight in a jail cell on the way to.
Is there a "post arisen/pawns" post yet? Can we start that?
Dragon's Maw and Burst Strike are your bread and butter, after that you can have pretty much any sword skill depending on what you like other than Broad Slash (which is just a shittier Hindsight) and Skyward which is unnecessary.
>train my pawn to use hindsight sweep
>she starts perfect blocking everything instead
I don't know what to feel.
Playing for the first time, just met the Duke. Only been tipped off about Legion's Might, but at this point I basically feel like a god even with my terrible gear.
Does High Maelstrom still kill entire packs of mobs in 1 cast even in the DLC area? Late game areas / Post game? Shit is beyond overpowered at the moment for me.
>see a caster pawn finishing maelstrom animation
>try to take him out
>hellhounds spamming the balcony
>Use wakestone y/n
Pawn training is NOT a meme and Inclination is a must have augment on all casters
For more indepth guides on creating good pawns, visit /r/dragonsdogma
Is there anything fun to do after defeating the dragon?
Anyone know what is going on here?
Is this broken cloth physics or something?
Hey, if anyone has any bbi gear lvl 1 that they are not using, I would love to have it please!
My pawns name is Dany, lvl 120, mage.
I really need to get a Magick Bowmans Ring
Yes, there is a whole 1/3 of the game left maybe more than 1/3
Pawn training is real and has an effect on your pawn, but its effects are greatly exaggerated by the community. Bestiary knowledge and inclinations have a humongous effect on your pawn, so make sure you get those things right before starting "training" your pawn.
im egotistical, time to post again for the third fucking time
thanks mate, didn't remember for some odd reason
I meant for >>130449870 to be for everyone.
Advice on fixing this would be appreciated.
Reminds me of Paladin from Bikini Warriors
So which one of you autists tried to self-insert in the game?
Just created my pawn. Haven't taken a screenshot of the group yet.
I fooled around in the customization option before creating her and forgot to change the voice from a squeaky one. Can I change it later on at the barber shop, or is the transformation scroll (whatever) my only choice?
Tried to make Guts as my pawn, how does he look?
its not a meme
this pawn is a trained machine gun turret and its hilarious
Where the videos of Savan's story dubbed in Japanese or did people get Savan's story in another medium or just never got it? Just curious because there's so much Savan x Salde art and doujin and I wonder if they don't care or they never got that info
Sometimes I have seen them don't care and sometimes I see them abandoning ship at the speed of light
there's a preset face that it's basically Guts
BEHOLD! glorious Gran Soren Harbor
but seriously don't put the city to the sea if you don't plan to add a proper harbor to the fucking capital
thats how you do it yeah, but before they start spamming like that they walk around confused for a while
also they need to learn not to give a fuck about stamina consumption, which is weird since that pawn was medicant primary when i last saw it on the rift
>even his bloody armor and sword are in the game as far as I know.
stop reminding me
Will I mess up his next quest by giving him liquid effluvium?
>when the party mage refuses to give EVERYONE the same buff
this is why we need a fucking command wheel
Well there are small boats, and we do take a boat to Bitter Butt, so sea travel is possible.
Maybe larger ships, like ones for trade, would have more people on them, make for tastier meals for the Brine meaning it would put the effort into taking down an entire ship while little boats go unharmed.
and how the fuck is Quina supposed to get to the mainland? and how is fishing even a thing when the brine kills everything in the water, that led me to believe the brine only appeared with the Dragon
>mfw my pawn never uses the long bow
>and if he does its just one tenfold and then switches to daggers
i just noticed that the pawn switches to the eliminator thats closer
I hope someone draws it so i can fap to it every day
I bought it because it's worked well for others on Linux.
I don't know why but cloth physics are fucked up for me. Anyone know what the game uses for them?
nope, capcrap took the assets out.
it's probably possible to extract them from a console version iso and convert them and then use them as a texture replacer for existing gear, but that is a dick ton of work.
The Brine does come with the Dragon, the people around the village tell you that at the start of the game.
Did your pawn never tell you the history lesson of why Gransys' sea routes are underdeveloped?
>fighter hard mode
>fucking faggot griffin keeps running me over like a bus and flying off
>light it on fire and throwblast it to death
FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING RODENT WITH WINGS
wait, you only get the ethernal ferrystone on your first playthrough?
So if you, say, decide you don't like your character and restart it's gone fucking forevern? What the fuck, seriously.
BUFF MY FUCKING WEAPON WITH HOLY LIGHT GOD-FUCKING-DAMMIT!
I CAN'T FUCKING DEAL DAMAGE TO THE FUCKING GHOST! FUCK ME! BUFF MY FUCKING WEAPON!
I WOULD HAVE JUST STUCK WITH MAGICK KNIGHT IF I KNEW HOW SHIT PAWNS ARE AT BUFFING EVEN WHEN I CAN'T FUCKING FUCK
SHE STARTS TO SPELL RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOTHERFUCKERS WHERE THEY CAN INTERRUPT THE ANIMATION. NOW SHE'S LITERALLY DOING FUCKING NOTHING!
I'm a bit lost. I'm looking for pawns in the OP's sheet, but the mages/sorc ones barely have enchants. Don't you guys use enchants at all or do you keep multiple weapons of every element ?
>you always get it when you finish delivering the hydra head
ah, that's why it isn't there, thanks
Some guys in the comments were talking how they had to delete their save data but I guess that's from the console
>>and how the fuck is Quina supposed to get to the mainland?
She travels through the mountains. to the left of Gransys. Gransys is a peninsula, like Spain. It's connected to the mainland.
Typically, if you're worried about weapon enchantments, you carry one enchanted weapon around and one super high physical damage. I mean, that's what I do, at least. Helps for those pesky magic immune or physical immune enemies.
Once you're in post game and start rarifying they're less important. There's a lot of stuff that useful at low level, like grappling, that just gets outclassed.
Fucking hell, you faggots have lots of imagination for unhired weebs
i have a warrior that has solely leveld up in this vocation, so he has pretty much no magick. would it make sense to swap out my pure physical longsword for a hybrid longword whose combined phys and magick dmg is higher than the pure phys longsword? or does the magick dmg scale with my base magick attribute?
I done fucked up. I didn't understand how the Affinity system worked and assumed it excluded same sex individuals as your beloved.
I wanted Jewtits, and ended up with god damn Julian. Is there any way to get a save editor working that can change this, or am I fucked?
>mfw I had to replace Saving Grace with some ugly as shit Longsword because I wasn't doing any damage in BBI anymore
The only good looking high level Longsword is Bitter End, but I'm sure I won't be seeing that in a while.
I JUST WANT TO FIGHT DAIMON REEEEEEEEEEE
>Outclassed by what? Free damage is free damage.
Yeah, that's my thought too. I wouldn't run an affinity on a Sorc, but I dunno what a Mage carries that would outclass at least one Affinity.
So the way I see it, MK has all the sword skills a fighter has and can use staves on top of it all? Not to mention that they can buff their own weapons with fire, etc. Is there any reason to play as a fighter?
a pawn grappling could be attacking instead
at low levels doing that might be a good idea because the damage increase is really good but later in the game anyone would rather have a pawn use dragon's maw or soul skewer instead of trying to grapple an enemy
also most of the enemies in bbi cant even be grappled
Basically, yeah. It's just better to attack in most cases. It still helps but this game's difficulty curve decreases quickly until you hit the Everfall and BBI. But then it's all about equipment and perries if you want to use them. Elemental spells from sorcerers generally beat enchantments except holy, which is always good.
Oh, right. I forgot about that. But still, it's only one skill. What I really liked about fighters is that they could perfect block attacks, and MK can do that as well as automatically countering with a magick attack afterwards.
you all probably already know about this but here's some silly enemy behavior I got
More like best aughtist.
And Julien is way too pretty to be called a man.
>first play through as strength focused
>warrior is underwhelming and repetitive
>fighter is great with lots of defense and surprisingly mobile with no lack of power
>ranger is fun but too turret-y for my liking
>assassin blows everything else away
>new play through with magick focus
>mk is fun but falls short with long cast time/short duration buffs breaking the flow of combat
>sorcerer is overwhelmingly strong but fuck those cast times
>still need to try ma
>hopefully it's just like assassin but with magick
So much for multiple play throughs, literally nothing trumps assassin and MA only has a chance if it's similar enough. Seriously why is assassin so perfect? Self buffs, versatile, weapon options, strong at melee, ramge and climbing not to mention the speed and mother fucking counters. I feel like I fucked up by playing assassin before anything else.
It's a good enchant because hardly anything resists it and it makes Mage/Sorc Focused Bolt really strong.
Most thing's aren't particularly weak to it either, but if you're going to run only one affinity then Holy is a good one for every situation.
>trying to hire a Sorc pawn at my level
>that has High Gicel, High Voidspell and High Lassitude
>that doesn't have High Maelstrom
>that doesn't have any affinities
>that has Utilitarian/Challenger inclinations
>that actually has upgraded gear and not 0* trash
>that doesn't look ugly as fuck
Why is it so hard for people to be good at video games
Does that spell actually work? I always thought it took an enemy sitting in one place for ages for it to have any impact.
It blinds vocations that require getting up close and personal.
>Looking for a good female sorc in my 25-30 range
>Over half of them are using the queens outfit which looks ridiculous
>The rest are either loli or wearing starter rags and have insanely fucked up abilities
Why does this have to be hard, I got a perfect Fighter off an anon here yesterday and now I can't find a sorc.
you too, eh?
I tried to do them in the post-game, but the spooky skies really kills off enthusiasm for exploring. It was neat for the first 3 hours and all atmospheric about the sudden shift in the world, but now it's just annoying.
holy pactare the only sorc spells upgrading imo
grand glicel just takes too long and bolide isn't as good as comesion
anyone feel the same?
you have sliders, friendo?
I fucked up Reynard on my original NG which is the only reason why I didn't go full on autism with every quest.
I'm planning on doing a totally fresh new save with Jap audio where I'll probably do complete autism after I'm satisfied with this save though.
What can men do against such reckless hate?
2 thunderwyverns also flying around spamming spells.
>tfw I always double-check the wiki after receiving a quest in an order to make sure nothing is going to conflict
Those early quests from Cassardis and the Notice Board were great for levelling up vocations for augments and never having financial problems.
I started those, figured there wouldn't bee too many and that there would be some amazing reward at the end. Did like 15 of them before checking the wiki and NOPE-ing the fuck out. Literally worse than Ass Creed feather bullshit.
you can get that as an enchant on lv3 mage boots
works on garms/ elder ogres/ condemed cyclops/ cursed dragons and ALL super drakes
even daimon first form
bbl fucks up weapon/ armor pacing
you just use your grigori weapon until getting lv2 weapons, there's 2 tiers of lv1 weapons that are both never used by anyone
>all these (You)'s
There's nothing wrong with Maelstrom itself.
There's something wrong with pawns using it indoors against a single enemy and blocking my vision.
Maelstrom is a good spell when used by the player, but pawns are too dumb to know when to use it and when not to.
High Lassitude is amazing against pretty much everything.
>why would you want a good pawn over a bad one?
The only perfect pawns I can find constantly are Striders. But I guess they are easy to pick skills for. 100/ Kisses + Skull Splitter, Fivefold + Volley.
55 on my newest character.
Conservation, more like. Pawns rarely run out of stamina on their own.
Eventually I dropped Bastion for Tenacity though, defenses are low enough even with Bastion that a chance to survive at 1 HP is better.
Realistically, how much minmaxing helps with the endgame monsters? Because asides from the health and stamina gains the gear you end up having seems strong enough to carry you, assuming you have good knowledge about the game (use conqueror's periapts, rarify and all that)
so my ranger is always challenger / mitigator / scather but slowly shifts towards challenger / scather / mitigator and starts climbing shit
should i take the daggers off her?
or give her rusted daggers?
or just carry on and use the knowledge chair often?
>double jumping over a rush of an eliminator to save your fighter pawn
>going back through the way you came to go pick up your mage and sorcerer
>get stuck in a bad spot, the corner these guys are smashing right now
>masterful kill saves the day
3 down so far at least. Wyverns still up too.
Oh yeah noticed they only had 5 health bars or so.
>the gear you end up having seems strong enough to carry you
I made a build for balanced defenses which of course gave me balanced offenses, and by the time I got kitted out in L3 stuff I was wrecking aught just fine.
Was a lil' rough starting out, but as long as you keep in touch with Fournival you'll have enough periapts to push you through any rough spot.
Min/maxing is purely for your own autismal enjoyment/satisfaction.
Although if you intend to use weaponry that isn't BBI tier for stuff like BBI content, then a 800-900 base stat in strength/magic attack is going to be really nice to have
not sure if everyone knows this, but if you return to cassardis AFTER creating a pawn yet BEFORE the hydra encounter, you get a cutscene with the salvation leader
it's pretty good dialogue imo
Goatfags shouldn't be so uppity.
Looking for ANYONE to use my pawn, I need some RC pretty bad right now.
Look at this hunk of a man, willing to live and die for you.
Ill also use your pawn.
If I'm dead what do I care.
Plus my pawn was a cool dude. Can teach her things like minding her footing since a fall can kill as surely as any monster and how goblins are weak to fire and ice both. They'll do fine together.
Does the initial first form kill count as "post-daimon" or what the fuck?
>trying to lure its hand so it takes the helm off
>mage pawn keeps spamming high levin non-stop, which puts the armored cyclops in an endless stun loop so he can't take the helm off
>cyclops gets taken to his knees but no one can do anything because the helm is still on
Guess who got thrown off the cliff face in the middle of the fight so we could actually do something productive.
