No healing in a fight club with top tier gems isn't fun imo. It means fights can end in like 2 dash R1s, and it removes a layer of depth that results from healing and heal parries.
I never promoted level 60. I created the level 98 meta in BB and pushed a level 70 meta in DaS1.
I know its shitposting but damn
Fight clubs mean there can be no mistakes
one mistake and half your HP is gone
REALLY FUCKIN REALISTIC CONSIDERING WE FIGHT WITH FUCKING WEAPONS
You made me respond, great job shitposting
>Yahar'gul before killing Rom
Shit that's pretty fucking spooky. Almost beats out Upper Cathedral Ward. You just know all kinds of weird shit is going on. And that music.
GG Gregor, that was a great end.
Well lads I'm off, have to cook breakfast,
Its fucking 10 AM in the morning for me in Singapore.
That would also explain my wonky internet.
It usually works but damn, today sucked.
Great games guys and see you next time.
I will bring a better internet
Also is the name blood addled any good for a blt hoontah?
ASCALON IS THE TRUE WIZARD
I AIN'T NEVER SEEN SHIT LIKE THIS BEFORE
>Weapon at risk
That was the first time I've ever seen that in this game, I got too carried away having fun with y'all instead of going back to the dream to repair and restock at all, maybe I'll eventually get good with this weapon set up sometime
I gotta run though, great fights all around, sorry for whoever had to suffer through my kinda laggy blacksky eye's, I got pretty trigger happy with those by the time I left
Revving up the wheel buffs it's arc damage at the expense of ridiculous health drain
If your wheel is souped up for arc damage you can hit 1000's on R1's if it's revved up fully
yeah I thought you were aping me bro, was that not your intention?
a fun one
also exegloves>chikage is retarded
No, I'll be too busy playing DaS3 fcs.
I think, when DaS3 comes out, all of the weaknesses of BB will just irk me even more because I'll have something else that isn't BB to play instead.
Postan my bigass image again. Just a neat collection of all the art for weapons and tools
Thanks, been wearing it for awhile
Yeah that's cool. I'll ring my bell now and sit in the area, I waited awhile before so I don't expect much activity.
Also, when we finally get to the giant fish hook dude let's shaman bone him.
What I saw looked like that I died 0.5 sec after the dodge animation landed. Anyways, it was a nice fight.
Griffith (I think that was his name at least) close fight man.
Sabbatine over and out, had some good fights, some of them are even webum material I think, good night guys.
That was my first match but my connection was god awful, if you noticed.
We were both jumping all over the place before I disconnected.
Its fixed now though, im down to stick around for a bit but i gtg in 35 min because im a party animal feel me pham
I toggle lock-on on\off based on when i'm attacking and what attack i'm using. Let's me have more control. It also lets me move a bit better than dashing when someone's right on top of me.
And I just cannot fight fucking Saifs. The only people I'm consistently losing against are Saif-users.
Nah, I was gonna kill you before it went off, it just didn't do enough damage because it was too far after/before the r2 and then the r2 follow up to get counter damage
shoulda just jump attacked, good fight sempaitachi
The only thing that can match a saif is a bloodbletter. The difference between god-tier and just 'decent' weapons, when both are used by competent players, is just too extreme.
Hyperarmor has always been a flat-out bad pvp mechanic.
It's only active late enough into the attack to the point where, in pvp, you would have hit them anyways even without it. There's always a delay after you hit somebody before they take damage from the attack, so in order to actually interrupt someone you have to hit them very early. That 'very early' isn't covered by hyper armor, but the point where it'd already be too late to interrupt you without getting hit is where the hyperarmor begins.
In most cases, hyperarmor works to your own detriment more than your benefit because it, for some reason, extends throughout the entire recovery of most attacks with it. Mmeaning if someone dodges through your hyerparmor swing with a saw or something, they can just mach R1 while you're recovering and get several hits in because you have this pointless hyperarmor that does nothing except prevent you from being able to escape retaliation.
o well i gtg.
I beat every person I fight except you and kilian, and I've literally never beaten either of you once.
And the FC's only pair us like 2-3 times if at all.
O well, ill git gud 1 day
Is there a guide for arcane? I saw a vegetable magical man come help me blow the spider out of the water and I want to learn the powers of the good magical blood gods now.
Where do I start to become a magical arcane master?
Wasn't fishing for anything, just the unzip even after being staggered fucked my shit was trying to think.
But cool worst thing about a blt is their shot doing half the work because they're inept, faggy playstyle.
geniunish, I'm not really sorry because if you can't dodge bullets you should die but I really did think you were backing off to parry fish because most skillfags do the same shit when they're low
I wonder what would happen if someone tries to shoot a cannon in the same way as in the game
>that rifle spear hunter near the tonsil stone door
The only fun fight I had against a skill player was with Skinner and some guy doing this really neat samurai toon. Other than that, yeah. Not fun.
Nice to know someone else is kegging tonight. Hopefully I get to fight you. Look out for Wilhelm.
The fc's been pretty tame tonight in terms of skill shittery. Most of the skl builds I've fought were using things like the cane, churck pick, etc. The saifshitters have mostly been arcfags. Haven't even met a single rakuyo tonight, for once.
That was me I think. Wilhelm.
I usually am able to catch people really well with a primed dash>R1 for some reason. I'm not sure why.
Also, I really like your character. His face is really well done.
My legs fucked too, that cleric beast put up a fight.
That was a hell of a way to score a point man.
I really want to make an arcane build, but with work, going to chalice dungeons and the grind it really demotivates me...
only to have to go korean to make pick good AND barely use tools since its easy to dodge..
AND the game only has a few months left
>killing santas in gaol for twin shards
How the hell do you get to the second floor of the lecture building? The only room on the bottom floor I haven't gone through is spider-patches' and I can't get in there. Wiki says there's a ladder but I can't find it.
I never understood this
>game gives you bolt paper armor that's explicitly weak to bolt, and the only innate bolt-damage weapon in the game in the area with a boss whose nearly immune to bolt.
Were they just trying to bait the player into making poor equipment choice and getting wrecked?
Finally got enough for a Blood Rock, so that's it for me.
Cheers mates, great fights all round.
The uncharged R2 works like the splash zone at a water park. If you're within range when they tap R2, you will get wet. It doesn't matter where you move or how far away you get from them when the move actually goes off. If you make the mistake of being in R2 range when they hit R2, you have to guess the timing and iframe it.
So I finally got enough bloody wuds to level to wheel wielding status, but I wanna back up my save in case I hate it and don't wanna waste points in strength. I just back it up to a USB or cloud and download the save if I need to? And From's servers won't care or anything, right?
Tell me, Father O'Byron. How do you like your steak?
I invaded Burgerville, and apparently that NPC summon with the cage helmet has infinite ammo. Also seems highly resistant to the wheel. Like 9 fucking damage. What is that? Kind of annoying. That was fun though, even though I got fucked up.
I started the night with 99 shining coins, I end now with none. Good fights all around.
Long days and pleasant nights.
WEEL IT'S BEEN REAL LADS, SKIN YA NEXT WEEK.
Really though, good fights all around guys, I'm gonna stick around in case anyone needs PvE help.
I'm about to get started.
This is going to take a while.
welp I'm outie as well
sorry about the vermin sunset the last r2 that killed me was literally invisible and a good distance away when it killed me and it made me salty as shit
If you don't want to go full korea, don't make an arc build.
If it makes you feel any better, people host cold abyssal farming parties here pretty regularly. You don't have to savescum alone.
In the meantime, some webms
Doing this is pretty janky now since you can't change items mid-animation.
It was a fun night tonight, /bbg/. Lots of good fights. If you're still here, Skinner, looks like we're ending 5:7. You win this time.
Also, shout out to Father O'Bryon and Kassidy for repping the Powder Kegs and fighting good fights. Oh and Mori, for the really sick character.
Until next time. Wilhelm's out for the night.
It's not bad, but it's clunky and awkward to use and doesn't really have anything to make it unique or attractive outside of the tricked R2s, which obviously aren't the most useful thing in pvp. It has high AR but low modifiers, so no amount of buildcraft can make it better than 'okay, I guess'
It's alright but I dropped it for the beast cutter. Might pick it back up again so I'm not a whirligig shitter
It's got nice reach in tricked mode and untricked it's got decent speed and it's damn satisfying to use but just seems kinda lackluster with some of the other new str toys laying around
Alright, thanks guys. Yeah it did stand out to me but the damage just didn't seem to be there, not to mention you can't buff it.
What about beast cutter? Does it have the same problem? I hear everyone saying it's underpowered and not that great but on here people say it's really good?
Beast Cutter is alright. The problem is that the reason you would use it is because of its tricked form, but that form is incredibly (incredibly) slow.
It is serrated in both forms though, and does exclusively blunt damage.
>had trouble with bloody crow on my melee build
>make an arc build and just spam augur on him in a corner
Okay fellas, here we go. One FC video from the perspective of a lowly shitter armed with a bunch of oversized penis compensators for weapons.
I tried to fit in at least one fight with everyone that I fought against, but I apologise if anyone's missing. It was likely not on purpose.
You'll have to excuse the shitty quality.
for me i slashed him once he bone dodged into a corner and as i was spamming augur his bone ran out and instead of trying to roll away he kept trying to reapply the bone on wakeup
if he wasnt trying to re apply bone he was trying to change his katana to edgy mode it was great
So, what the fuck is that attack where an enemy grabs you, holds you very close, then just one hits you? It was from a generic looking enemy, and he seemingly spawned behind me when I was planning on jumping down on top of those two big snake piles that shoot poison
It's good if you can spam it, never tried it in PvP but with low arcane (15-20) it does around 120-160 damage. It's good if you just need something dead since it only costs 1 bullet per cast. 5 blood bullets could get you over 500+ damage.
What a truly odd game, wish the host hadn't died so soon.
>May you find your worth in the waking world.
Is that the doll's way of saying "git gud" ?
Likewise. I was really worried about using the Boom Hammer for a while, but it was the only other thing that seemed to go well with my build. It's done pretty well by me, turns out, especially buffed.
>somehow missed the Red Jelly in the lecture building on my first playthrough
>have to go all the way through the game on ng+ just to get two shitty materials
>then have to do Loran dungeon because I need fucking 4
>then will finally be able to do Ihyll
I don't think I've ever burnt out so hard on a game before. Chalice dungeons were the worst thing to ever happen to videogames ever.
>Red Jelly becomes available to purchase after you create the Ihyll dungeon!
We did have some pretty close fights, actually. I should've chosen one of the other fights we had.
I think I might include a few more fights in the next video, if I make another one. I hope I chose sufficiently groovy tunes.
She is saying that she wants you to pick a build you really like. It takes time, sometimes you pick wrong when you are learning and the next time you roll it might be better, or you like the weapons more.
She is just saying to find peace and happiness.
>on first playthrough
>want to join fc
>haven't unlocked chalices
>remember I have to farm for materials to unlock em
>don't want to fc anymore
I really wish the insight store sold rituals
Is this telling me to literally just level Arcane? If not, then when am I supposed to add vit and end and to what stat?
Also you don;t have to farm ritual materials. The speedrun guide is a little misleading with that. You get all of the ritual blood that you need to progress by completing each dungeon entirely. As long as you explore every bonus area and find all the loot to find, you'll never need to farm.
The speedrun guide is a guide for speedrunning, it assumes that you'll skip every optional and bonus area except for the ones that you absolutely need. It's faster to farm ritual blood than complete each and every single side area for it, which is why the guide tells you to farm.
Add vit as needed. Vit is more important than your damage stat, that's true of any build. Add strength and skl ONLY to meet the minimum requirements of a weapon you want to use, and no more.
Depending on your weapon choice, you can leave end at base or level it up to 15. You'll probably want to leave it at base.
The only caveat with arcane is that you'll want 18 by the time you get the tonsil stone so you can use auger right away, same with cainhurst and the exec gloves.
I don't understand why people just didn't stick to 6cb, the new loran one is tedious to make instead of just buying 2 ritual bloods for 5k and beating 2 low level bosses. Probably turns more people off having to kill way more bosses and go on a goose chase for materials if you're not NG+
At high levels of arcane, it's alright, it functions basically as a decent damage 'gun'. It's not really ideal for PvP though, you're better off using your bullets for something like augur.
We had this discussion last time, too. The new location was chosen for a couple of reasons, one being a change of scenery. A lot of people were tired of Pthumeru's environment and colour pallet, and even more people were sick of having to deal with SRRC shitters.
The new chalice is closed, so there's zero chance of SRRC shitters crashing the party. It's pretty much exclusively for /bbg/ to fuck around in.
Besides, if you frequent this place and engage in PvP, why don't you have all of the chalices unlocked anyway? Most of us fight with top-tier gems anyway.
Anything. Weapons become arcane when you put an elemental gem in them, so anything can become an arcane weapon if you want it to be. The best candidates are usually those with low requirements, so you don't have to waste points in str or skl that you won't benefit from. That's why the guide recommends the saw spear as an ideal fire weapon for an arcane playthrough.
The only exceptions are weapons that already have innate non-physical damage, like the Blades of Mercy or Riflespear. If they already have elemental or blood damage built-in, you can't convert them to pure elemental with gems. Everything else is fair game, though
11str/14skl Lets you use a pretty wide variety of low req weapons, including the beast cutter and Church Pick. A Fire Church Pick is basically the ultimate pve weapon, since it counts as serrated. 20str lets you use an arcane wheel, which is incredibly powerful on an arc-focused build, as well as the boomhammer, HMS, and effectively every strength weapon. Just be aware that some of these weapons, like the HMS or wheel, will be limited to their arcane-focused modes and attacks.
Yeah, that was a lot more intense than I thought it would be. I might have to start using Tonitrus again.
And I wholeheartedly recommend going Boom as a secondary for HMS. The scaling from the buff is nothing to scoff at, and and landing the charge attacks feels almost as good as landing a Steak Dinner R2.
I think I can do one more match. Wanna go regular weapons again?
Thanks anon! I actually only need 16 strength for the HMLS, so I think I'll be running 16 STR and 14 DEX.
Thank you for spoonfeeding, I'll save this post for future reference.
>Nightmare of Mensis
>Trying to work my way through the level, get some chunks, get some blood shekels to ding out some levels
>Move up to first enemy in the zone
>Sinister bell rings, instantly summons an invader
>Enter game, move up to lamp to light it in the intro to zone, sinister bell rings, invader instantly enters, exit game
I just want to PvE and get through the zone. How far is the sinister bell lady from the beginning of the zone? I do not want to get butt raped, I have crap gems, crap gear, why are dindus trying to gank me in this zone?
I don't understand these sorts of complaints. You know that once you've created a depth 5 FRC root and have the Lower Loran Root Chalice, all you need to do is search for the glyph, right? You don't need any more materials. If you haven't gone through Lower Loran standard yet to get the Root Chalice, it doesn't take long. Plenty of people here would even be willing to help out with Abhorrent/Camera Beast if you're having trouble with them.
If you haven't gone through chalices, you'd just get destroyed anyways. It'd be like showing up to a Dark Souls fightclub with a +5 weapon.
Does the guide really tell you to farm? Other than RB5, it's faster to just memorize a couple locations with the materials you need, then run straight to them. The speedrun youtube video shows you how to get through all the chalices as quickly as possible with virtually no farming.
The real stinger here is that it's an Ailing Loran root, not even a Lower Loran root. So you'd have to kill, what, Bloodstarved Beast? S'not that hard, especially for someone that is already invested in PvP.
>get Ludwig to his second form without using a single vial
>choke and die with seconds
I don't get it, this is the third fucking time I've had to fight him for a build, I should have gotten it down by now.
I don't have a problem with it, i've done all the chalices. But i'm saying other people might, wouldn't it not be as active compared to the other one? It's not really hard to get to, it technically just takes longer, throwing some people off knowing they can't just jump right in and PvP. Of course they'll be at a disadvantage without top tier gems but still.
Yeah, this is the real silly thing. I can understand people skipping Lower Loran because its FRC is only used for arc builds and one rune. But, in order to have access to anything better than story gems, you have to complete Ailing Loran.
People whining that they don't want to deal with "the chalice grind" just to compete in the fc are thinking they'll pop in with their 20% gems and do fine against people doing twice as much damage as them.
I fucking love the detail on the wheel/executioners stuff
I wish more enemies would fight each other. Its always so cool when it happens.
requesting someone edit this into Eileen and the Good Hunter
It cancelled it's animation. Orphan originally did the uppercut where you're meant to do dodge to his right, instead it glitched out on the rock and done a stunlock wombo combo.
Change of plans, turns out I'm way more tired than I thought I would be. Sorry m8, but I gotta get some sleep. Good luck with the grind, hope you get somethin' good.
I see on Best Gem set up for Parasite is Lost Parasite.
Why do I need +2nd stat when I can get +27.2% arcane damage gems from Watchers?
Is this the druid healer set to cast phat heals for your parties tank using a Choir Bell?
Those are probably also very rare and considered offshape. The 9.1% phys + 67.5 arc are considered common. And phys is useless on parasite. You can definitely try to go for them but arcane radials in general are extremely rare. 23.1% arcs are the second best thing that don't require huge amounts of time to obtain.
Not sure about %arc + arc though, they may be easy to get somewhere but it's most likely offshape.
You don't have to be a high level for chalices, i've done them on tons of characters around level 40. Once you do it the first few times it's not so bad.
If you just can't do it then you can always summon.
You can always savescum flat fire/bolt/arc from chests for parasite
If you want to do fistycuffs
Kos Parasite can be lost or uncanny. Regular one is bad.
You want one 23.1/14 arc gem from cb7jig9p bone ash hunter, one 24.8/15 abyssal from Ebrietas, and a Cold Abyssal. Secondary on Cold Abyssal is up to personal preference, most people like +%vs. Open Foes, which only occurs on radials. So for that, you'd want Uncanny Parasite.
If you don't feel like farming for perfect secondaries, then you want 23.1% from cb7jig9p, 27.2% from Watchers, and Cold Abyssal waning or radial.
I personally think they're the best asian waifu sliders ever, but I'm biased. At least better than the shitty default preset
Apparently uncanny parasite with 2x 23% arc radials and a standard 27.2% arc triangle can be good. It's probably one of the easiest ways, you can also go for radial cold abyssals but you'll need to savescum since the bosses that drop those are on layer 3
23.1% is the best radial arcane you can get for Kos Parasite. Shouldn't take more than maybe an hour of farming to get a decent one.
Go to cb7jig9p. There's a bone ash hunter just to the left of the first layer entrance. Sneak up on it and charge R2 for a backstab. Instead of taking the visceral, shoot her with Executioner's Gloves. This will knock her into the corner. Spam R1 with a fast weapon, use beast roar if you run out of stamina. Repeat until she's dead. As she dies, use blood bullets, then grab her loot and BHM. Repeat until you get the gem you want.
Remember eye runes, they improve her drop rates by a lot.
>Farming her the other night for bolt radial gem to put on my Ludwig's
>get a bolt gem drop
>23.1 (highest possible drop)
>13.5 bolt secondary (idgaf about 0.5 damage loss)
>attack vs. beasts down curse (perfect for bolt gem)
circle fucking offshape
Oh sorry. Cold Abyssal is Pthumerian Elder. He can spawn in any area, so you can get a gem of whatever shape you want, but since your triangle slot is already taken up, it has to be radial or waning.
Do you guys go to NG+ at level 98 or just stay at NG?
>tfw I got an offshape radia from a madman
>+31 flat fire
If you don't want to savescum, 2x 23% with 1x 27%. If you do want to savescum, 1x 23%, 1x 27%, 1x cold abyssal.
Cold abyssal is not hard to get with savescumming, drop rate is decent. You just gotta get to layer 3 or 4, then fight Elder probably half a dozen times to get an abyssal with a non-shit curse. Drop rate for arcane gems is much, much worse, but doesn't require going through 3 layers of a dungeon, so if you aren't gonna savescum, it's much faster.
>2x 23% arc radials and a standard 27.2% arc triangle can be good
Is most likely the easiest, if you want the best possible setup then go for cold abyssal, 23% arc radial and 27.2% arc traingle
Radial cold abyssals drop from the FRC hmph elder:
Just to name a few. But like I said, it's harder. You only get 1 chance to kill this guy on layer 3, then the drop could be shit or have a bad curse, requiring you to do it all again. That's why people back up their save just outside the boss fog so they can reload it if they get a bad drop.
Eye runes have no effect on the rating of a gem, but the increase the chance of a gem dropping either as an off-shape (you don't really want this), or as a non-standard affect. I.E., you'll get less temperings and more bolt/arc/fire/nourishing/murky/whatever-the-fuck with eye runes.
On basic mobs, it'll increase the chances of them even dropping a gem at all, which obviously won't happen for bosses.
Cheers! I feel like the songs I chose really helped in that regard. Was kinda hard to choose, to be honest.
I silence my bell and re-ring after every fight I win. If I lose, I just re-ring without silencing, because my bell's obviously stopped ringing already. Why?
Well anyways, assuming 50 strength and 10 skill, with 1x Heavy Abyssal (65/15) and 2x 32.6 blunt gems, you'd have 687 AR.
1x Heavy Abyssal with 2x 32.6 blunt gems will be the best way to gem it almost regardless of what your stats are. Unless you have sub-50 strength or upwards of 25 skill (which you shouldn't have for Beast Cutter unless you're going for a really high or really low SL), that gem set-up is the best. And once you know that you'll be going for 1x Heavy Abyssal, the Strength scaling is over 4x as much as the Skill scaling, making investing in Skill kind of pointless. If you have excess points, it would probably be better to vit-gouge or get plenty of endurance. So 50 strength, minimum skill to use whatever other stuff you want is ideal.
>I created the
Dropped. Trannies can't even create an excuse to live
You people are the reason we got this stupid coop only invasion bullshit through out most of the game.
The penalty for a pvp is almost nothing. God forbid you fight something is more unpredictable. Help me understand this. It is that you're afraid to have your feeling hurt?
>pushed a level 70 meta in DaS1.
Why? I remember when PtD came out you were saying that balance at SL 100 would be shit because elemental weapons would on everything below 120, why would you want the SL to be even lower than that?
Did you encounter the man with 3000 hours of bloodborne played this FC?
I could kill invaders with a cleaver weapon and only gems you find up to middle mergo loft.
Don't underestimate how easy it is to kill people with dash r1 + r1 , or a transform attack.
I don't get it either. Especially the ones that get so scared they need to disconnect. There are also only 3 areas in the whole game where PvP can happen without it being a gank. Not to mention the bell maiden dies permanently.
This is why I support twink invasions, so they can mess with the babies that need to get their hand held by 2 summons for every single area.
>You people are the reason we got this stupid coop only invasion bullshit through out most of the game.
Not him and not true.
Faggots bad at the game who could only win when they spammed great combustion with +5 ascended flame in Burg against noobs are the reason.
Hiding behind 'giving people true Dark Souls experience' bullshit when they were so bad they couldn't get a kill against someone with comparable gear.
Blame twinks, not the noobs they got griefed by them.
50/10/50/25/7/6/ Military Veteran. BL 98. Cutter AR is 730. 730 * 0.9 - 212 * 0.5 = ~551 final damage to a naked BL 98 target with 1.0x multiplier. Health is 1500.
64/10/50/9/6/7 Violent Past. BL 98. Cutter AR is 687. 687 * 0.9 - 212 * 0.5 = ~514. Health is 1623.
551 is ~7% higher than 514.
1623 is ~8% higher than 1500.
Note that the damage formula I'm using here is not perfectly accurate, but I'm erring in favor of 50/25, and it still loses out to vit-gouge.
Furthermore, assuming you want more than 10 endurance, it gets worse for the 50/25, since it would have to start cutting vit below 50, which is really REALLY not worth the damage you get from Skill.
The bosses respawn as do things like Bastards of Loran. Things like weapons, runes, and Blood Stones will not respawn and will be replaced with hard insight items.
Because the game went through a lot of changes such as the DWGR and lightning weapons getting nerfed.
