>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

New to DD, PC fag.
What do I build for a Mage/Sorcerer?
Am I going into Sorc for dmg mods then run a healer/buffer mage? I enjoy support but I am afraid I will miss out on some wizard fun.
I also am unsure what class is best at "tanking". I have my pawn set to fighter and kinda just picking moves that sound cool? Working so far but I am not sure what I am doing.
Thanks ahead of time!
>Farming chest in chamber of estrangement to get barbarian helm
>8 Dignified earring
>2 Ring of saphire
>1 Burnished Bracers
>1 million wakestones
No Barbarian cheif's helm in sight.
This is the punishment for killing Grigori I guess.
Unfortunately there is really no good reason for a player to stay mage for long. It's just far better to go sorc and be the big damage caster. Mage pawns are good for a supportive style, but even then all they really have over sorcs is the anodyne line of spells and significantly inferior damage spells.
>I also am unsure what class is best at "tanking"
I wouldn't really say tanks in the usual sense are a thing, but fighter and warrior pawns will soak the most damage and are relatively good at tying up multiple enemies without having to sit and cast.
Fighters have more mitigation as well as a shield and some amazing specials in late vocation ranks, warriors have more HP (but are squishier overall), generally higher damage and REALLY STRONG stagger/knockdown.
>tfw just made 10k from selling Large Fishes that I gathered mostly from Dripstone Cave
Not at the very beginning of the game, where your overall wealth is only like the triple of that. It's always funny when people act like as if they started the game at level 200 with pimped out gear and knowledge about every little detail of the game.
Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue, playing the PC version and yes I have googled the problem already.
Had some items disappear after I withdrew then from storage. I stored 2 wakestone shards and withdrew then after i found a third. They are nowhere to be found in my inventory, storage, or my pawns' inventory.
Is there even a RPG that has better combat than Dragon's Dogma? Seriously?
I would say that Severance:Blade of Darkness has better close quarters combat but it is and action RPG with more of the action. The spell system in DD is not perfect either and could be expanded to include some features of other games like custom spells and spells with a bigger variety of effects.Right now the spells selection is DS tier and this is far far far away from good.
The game is good but riding the hype train is not healthy.
I've tried other classes but they just don't feel right to me. I like the ranger a lot but I hate the dual dagger shit, I'd rather have a sword. I tried fighter but it's just too basic for me. They're stronger but just not as fun.
hey guys how do i view the concept art you got for pre-ordering?
I just started playing on PC with a PS4 controller but everything is labelled as if I was using mouse and keyboard. There doesn't seem to be an option for that in the game, is there one somewhere else? A mod perhaps?
Is there anything I should do before meeting Daimon for the first time? Any quest I should finish etc?
And it starts with BBI v.2.0 right after I kill him?
Just fuck my shit up senpai
Why do I even bother?
Nah, that's cool man. Don't feel obliged or anything, I don't really need much that I can't farm up myself. Just spreading around the riftbux.
And it looks like I'm going Warrior. Good choice.
It starts BBI 2.0 the moment you walk out of the second exit, and you should make sure you're stocked up on curatives. Like really fucking stocked. If your pawn isn't very heavy with healing you're doing something wrong. There are also some quests that only show up post daimon
They're both fun.
Ranger is especially fun if you go full sniper and pack lots of various arrows. If that's the kind of thing you find fun.
Fun is subjective and you fucking faggots should stop asking what other people find fun
How do I make assassin more enjoyable to play as?
It mostly seems like a less fun strider, with optional sword.
Unless there are some really good skills to get in the last two vocation, I don't see the reason to play as it other than stat gains.
Also, should I make Alma her teen/adult version to appease the anti-loli fags?
I want to start a new game without deleting my old one, can I move the old one to a different folder and reuse it some time in the future?
How would you guys level a ranger main pawn?
>Tfw no good art of top tier girl Selene
>Tfw check her height on the wiki and she's actually pretty tall for a girl, taller than me
>Tfw I'm not a lolicon after all and I'm not going to heck
>i want to play without ranged weapons, but the lack of ranged weapons of such play style bugs me
>I want to start a new game without deleting my old one, can I move the old one to a different folder and reuse it some time in the future?
>How would you guys level a ranger main pawn?
By letting it be a Ranger.
I just hit Gran Soren and I noticed that I have a monocle worth upwards of 300,000 gold in my storage as the result of one of the DLCs the PC port came packaged with. From what I can gather, it carries virtually no ingame benefits whatsoever.
Can I safely sell this?
I had like 150k gold by the time I left the encampment
Anyone got the launch trailer for the original DD downloaded or something? I've been looking for it for so long but since some fucking Japanese recording company flagged literally every video of Into Free (including the trailer to the game) It's nowhere to be found.
MK has ranged options and they're hands down the tankiest vocation
You can start off with magic cannons and later when you're more confident you can take those training wheels off and use perfect block counters
Where's a good place to grind DP just after reaching Gran Soren? I'm not a mememaxer, so I don't care about muh stat growths or if I gain levels. I just wanna get these augments squared away as quickly as possible so that I can play through the main story as the vocation I like.
A man of
>Does MK have good HP and Magick gain
See for yourself.
Is there a reason whenever i do thevlost and found quest, i get atick into an infinite load screen? I get to the wirchwood and enter what i assume is a cutscene and start loading, but the load screen is infinite.
Any way around this or a fix?
Just want to say the anon who made those scripts which include Sword/Bow gameplay and Mage gameplay, as well as including menu navigation is a saint.
It's made KB+M much more enjoyable. I rebound XButton1 to be dodge roll and XButton2 to be strong attack. Unless if I was missing something on the native script dodge rolling was iffy with a dumpy keyboard but otherwise 10/10 scripts my friend
i too have this question
i don't think you will, though. there are already mods that replace stat growths of the different vocations
i think the only edits that result in online banning are edits to RC and creating grossly wrong stats. i could be very wrong though.
>tfw nothing but 3/3/3/ reviews
at least they aren't 1's
How long is BBI? How long should this keep me busy if I'm playing on Hard?
I'll probably end up there at around level 95-100 since I started NG+ before that. Hope I won't just breeze through it because I'm overleveled.
Th-thanks anyways, anon...
Am I cute?
Kinda regretting the elf ears already.
MK gets 2 strength, then 3 for all the rest
You are better off going assassin or warrior fully. You would lose out on 90-190 magic but gain 270-560 strength. Or you could go sorcerer and miss out on only 0-100 strength and get 180-380 magic and lose a shit ton on health as well.
Would you hire her, /vg/?
Have you already?
If not, any advice on skills or outfit? The hat has to stay.
Friendly reminder: Feste has always been your secret ally and looking out for you when your pawns aren't around
>assassin actually has the best str gain
I thought this was a meme. What were they thinking?
Especially since you can't classmix pawns.
Seems it's better for health to take MK, but better for magic to specialise.
I don't particularly want strength though, more the HP and Magic gain.
What I'm running for sorcerer is:
The end result is just over 4000 base stamina, 3500-ish base HP, 711 magic and 453 strength. You want strength because the three top-tier elemental spells (Bolide, Gicel, Fulmination) all scale with physical in addition to magic. You'll also be a pretty competent Magic Knight or Magic Archer.
Anyone care to take my Elf bandit pawn for a spin to see if you like her? She's Challenger/Scather. My name on Steam is Frisky Mama, if you need more questions.
Please be gentle and no large nuts; she is delicate.
>only received one 1/1/1 rating once
>absolutely no hires ever since
>cursed armor lv 2
>"ahhh could be better"
>only mimics ever since who only drop novelty lv 1
serves me right, being the greedy jew I am
Utilitarian/Medicant. She's already 2star with literally everything and 3star with at least two thirds. Feels fuckin good.
Is that the revive staff? I've seen it mentioned on loading screen tips but don't remember where to get it.
Bootyblast isle armor level 1. Mine might've been from a board quest though, I don't remember ID'ing it.
Really? I used grapnel for a while and enjoyed it but one of my friends told me it wasn't that good and specifically to drop it for silentium. We both run with a rusty ranger though so that might be why.
IS THERE A WAY TO BIND WEAPONS TO CERTAIN KEYS ALLOWING FOR QUICK SWAP IN COMBAT?
>Pull up my pants to finally face online Ur
>He appears screams and leaves
Just wasn't destined to happen...
Reposting for the purpose of field-testing my mage.
Level 50 Utilitarian/Challenger mage with an upgraded rusted staff. Torpors, then grapnels and shoots holy focused bolts. Needs bestiary knowledge to be smarter about her debuffs.
Good, I don't see why anyone would go with other inclinations on Mages. I swear, I saw 3 or 4 pioneers yesterday.
You can buy Legions Might in the black cat iirc, it's pretty good.
Have you added your pawn to the spreadsheet? Might hire it.
So Magic archer, what am I missing here? The sixfold feels weak as fuck, the explosive one is nice on a drakes' heart when you hit it with a dagger I guess but otherwise the whole class feels really fucking weak and is eating stamina like there's no tomorrow.
They are fantasy games
They both have dragons
They both have skeletons, undead and giant rats
Their combat mechanics have a strong attack and a light attack
They both have magic attacks, bows, swords, daggers, greatswords, shields
They both have a stamina system
I think that's about it. You can roll and parry, but those things are vocation-specific, whereas in DaS everybody can roll and parry.
where are you in the game?
Magick Archer isn't great in Gransys, but it jumps in power tremendously in BBI with Ninefold Bolt, Explosive Volley and Ricochet Hunter in narrows spaces.
>be in sewers
>see this clip through the wall
God DAMN it feels good to unleash the beast on these dragonkin again.
>my sorcerer pawn just brought it from 7 hp bars to 2 in 1 gicel
Yeah I knew it wasn't going to matter if I fight the drake with my rank 1 mystic knight vocation. Felt so cheesy though
>Are you playing on hard?
>Are you doing BBI 2.0?
>Did you get hit with one of its more damaging attacks
If you answered yes to any of those that's why. Its the same as getting hit with an elder ogres drop kick
No because you'll have to go back there anyway for a quest and it'll be super tedious
Then again if you like exploring, just fucking do it man you don't need permission
For a good time, go north through that pass by the encampment and just follow the northern coast until you get homesick
Just starting NG+/H, and my Arisen knows it.
reminder AA + blitz strike is dank
Holy shit, it happened again. What're the chances of that?
Really? That's shit. I guess I will swap it out. Thanks for the advice.
Ok cool, thanks guys. I'll go pick it up, just got to BBL 2 this morning. Is that gonna cause issues with her helping on cursed drags though? That comestion really upsets their butts, and is the main reason I have it.
No I haven't added her, partly because I don't know how.
Which melee class would you say is the most fun? Which is the most difficult/rewarding?
I want to know purely about the melee stuff, not that interested in how good their bows or spellcasting are

Well to be honest Skyrim is first person and it has gameplay oriented towards that.
While DD and DaS were pretty much the third person aRPGs that played best for their time, so it's only natural people started comparing them.
skill warrior >SHIELD/BOW EQUIPPABLE AS SECONDARY
Why even bother
Pommel bash can be quickly repeated and like that it's stun effect works on big enemies too.
exodus slash is really cool though because you can use it in reverse, meaning you step forward, and can then continue attacking. Also you can jump cancel it after the 2nd hit for more freedoms.

To play an effective Mystic Knight should I be leveling as Sorcerer for the magic stat gains?
I don't care about minmaxing completely, but up to level 25 so far I've mainly been playing Strider, Assassin, and Warrior so I imagine my magick is a bit low. Dunno if a str focused MK is any good
Honestly, I understand comparing it for BBI alone. That's pretty much the only part of the game that has a remotely Souls vibe.
If you wanted to make a stretch, you could compare them for both having rather bleak plots involving repetition and inevitability as well.
I think they're plenty different enough that it would be absurd to compare the games negatively, but they do have some small similarities.
can other people train your pawn to be retarded? My warrior pawn used to actually go after the heart of cursed dragons but now all he does is latch onto the leg and hump it for the entire fight.
>Post-game that doesn't like like stewed shit

>Mod that allows you to use any weapon regardless of Vocation. >DONE
Wait- does that mean that longswords+magick shield can be a thing?
No clue, This one was the same that I noticed.
I never know what to bring in BBI, to the point I might just swap from Mystic Knight while I'm there.
Playing as a MK without a buff pawn, I've been running the Holy enchant for my shield and the Ice Enchant for weapons (I hear Ice > Fire in BBI, but I'm not too far in yet).
Holy's usually a pretty safe bet, though. Shit's usually either weak to it, or takes normal damage from it. So it's either doing tons of damage, or doing damage and healing you.
Nah tons of fucking goblins were there and my pawns were getting fucked up. Most of the time was helping them back up. I probably over-estimated the time anyways.
Not to mention the drake fucking flew up and floated over a rock I couldn't climb up, thing was no clime-able apparently as I kept sliding down literally every side of it. Asshole stayed there for like 15-20 minutes.
Something about proportions. It doesn't look that large to me though, might be the hair. She's only 157cm tall, shorter characters do need larger heads to not look like down-scaled humans. Does this still look fucked up?
It has the same feeling of pseudo-reality and difficulty that Dark Souls gives and is famous for.
As i said before, when i play my mystic knight character i feel as a boss from dark souls
So, I'm a magick Archer, and I'm in BBI on Hard mode.
I've killed the dark bishop with a great deal of difficulty. I had to cheese the first Gorecyclopse by grapping it, knocking its helmet off, and filling it full of sixfolds from the railways above it.
Now I've come to a room with two gorecyclopses, undead sorcerers who one-shot me, and harpies basically make the room annoying as fuck. Aaaand the room is falling apart. Oh, and death is in the room right next door.
I barely do any damage to death, the gorecyclopses, or the harpies. I'm using Grig's knives and magick bow, and I'm level 85. Should I really only be doing pixels of damage to death and only a little more to the Gorecyclpses? I've heard the first one was stronger than normal ones, but still.
Oh and fuck cursed dragons. I get OHKO and immolate barely does any damage.
>inb4 git gud
I'm trying, I just need to know if it's me, or if I'm underleveled or need to find some better weapons or something.
So this very day, I cannot fathom why Capcom looked at the myriad flying enemies in DD, looked at Warrior's lack of secondary/ranged option, looked at Sorcerer, and thought it was okay.
I am well and truly okay with anyone who uses a mod to give their Warrior a bow, because jesus christ. I mained a Warrior/Warrior duo on PS3 and it was just...painful. Especially Awakened Daimon.
How do I into BBI suicide runs? People sometimes mention bumrushing to Barroch
don't use immolate. Use magick rebalancer and then Explosive Rivet. Stick some rivets in the dragon's chest, tap it. He'll go down and get staggered. With Articulacy and the Wyrmking's Ring you have enough time to pull two rivets into his chest and another tap, which should deal massive damage.
As for Death, it's a bullshit boss. Run away.
>Do BBI sidequest where you have to fight two living armors in the Catacombs
>Even with magic buffs im just tickling them
These fuckers just wont die
I for one don't really mind lack of customization for magic. On a sheer visual level, the only games that have magic comparable to DD are turn-based JRPGs, and given those don't have dynamic combat a meteor in Final Fantasy doesn't compare to bolide in DD.
There could be more spells, yes, but I'd much prefer to have a smaller selection of incredibly powerful, stunning spells that truly make you feel like a spellcasting instead of just a regular ranged damage dealer in robes.
what I did was rush to the first moonbeam gem and get a ring of perseverance to reduce the grind in the mainland.
The only hard part is getting the void key from the midnight helix. One of the chests in the cave full of leapworms has a lvl 1 BBI Weapon you can purify to get endgame gear, like Chilling Razors, Dragon's Pain, Ascalon, that kind of thing.
If you get both the BBI weapon and the ring of perseverance then you have a massive power boost that is quite fun to play with if you're used to the game.
>go to the feminazi den
>encounter the ogre while on the cliff
>he always manages to send at least one shitpawn flying down into the valley
>have to walk back to pick them up
EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME
I know how you feel.
Might be the lighting and zoom then. You get this weird lighting in inventory during night-time, dark areas, and pretty much all of post-game that makes there character look different than they do usually. I've messed around with her sliders lots on console, but might try some more now that I'm not sitting some 3-4 meters away from the screen.
>tfw you had two favorite pawns
>one levels up with you, becoming more powerful and more fashionable as well
>the other stays the same level as when you first hired it for days after
Please come back
Go with thunder trance, most of the big threats(garm, gorecyclopses, elder ogre, eliminators) are weak to thunder. You may also want to bring a pawn with a holy enchant to help deal with certain threats like cursed dragons (or just use your last remaining shield slot for holy trance and ditch the ripostes. Up to you but I like the free damage). MK is pretty goat in there.Stone forest is great for dealing with the dragons (pre and post damon), cannon is as always goods(does a great job of knocking the pope out of the sky), abyssal anguish alone is enough to stun lock eliminators and it tears though high def foes like the giant saurians.
I feel like you are literally the only other person in the entire fucking world who wasn't distracted by his pretty hair and so-bad-it's-good accent and can see how awful he really is in the plot.
>because [soulsfaggots] think any third person
Stopped there because that seems to be about as far as they get before the comparisons start flooding in.
Just the other day I managed a ~45 minute finish in my first SpeedrunMode attempt, and that was with a number of fuckups in both prep and execution. Apparently the record is about 16 minutes.
>>Mod that allows you to use any weapon regardless of Vocation.
>>mod that totally unlocks all equipment from vocations for maximum fashion dogma
I can't find these on Nexus. Links, anyone?
Shoulda just made him into a trap t b h
comestion is quick to cast and pretty powerful. Also AI can aimbot comestion and doesn't have issues with depth perception a player may have, so they're quite effective with it
"I" await you? Did the fucking hydra write this? I know it's the hydra.
Forgot to watch lighting so she seems older than she is.
I am in BBI but I can't find any gear, I'm only getting things which are weaker than the stuff I can buy from merchants.
Also it seems like you can't hit the sticky explosives with your regular or even the sixfold.
I actually have a stock pile of Godbanes just to send out to the owners of shit pawns
Reminder that if your fighter pawn doesn't have Mitigator/Utilitarian and Dragon's Maw they're fucking shit.
Reminder if your fighter pawn has shield drum they're fucking shit.
I do not remember Death showing up right as you enter BBI
Thanks, I'll try that. Might just drop riposte, yeah, if only because I haven't fought anything so far that's needed me to block (I'm way too OP for when I started BBI). Only thing I tried to block was the condemned gorecyclops, and I guess my shield's too shitty because all perfect blocking did was let me not get flattened; no magic retaliation.
I really wanted to play through BBI as a warrior, but I'm hitting shit harder per swing as a MK and nothing in BBI seems to want to stagger from a longsword.
>level my magick archer to rank 9 hoping it gets a little less boring
>it's still a borefest
>ranger is even worse
>strider is meh
>sorcerer is alright, but I'm really fucking tired of it
I'm level 60 right now and I've spent 20 of them as strider, 20 as ranger and 20 as sorcerer, is it too late to try mystic knight? My HP is really shit compared to my fighter pawn's so I'm not entirely sure about that.
I recall someone looking for this image a few threads ago
Challenger/Scather or Challenger/Mitigator for a Strider?
Is there a fucking Golem laying beneath Selene's house in the Witchwood? I already destroyed the one at the Tomb of the Lost Traveler, how do I get this one to do shit? And how the hell do I kill/move this one?
He's scripted to be a guaranteed spawn in the Garden of Ignominy, Fortress of Remembrance and Bloodless Stockades on your first run through BBI.
He continously spawns in the Stockades until you slay Daimon 1.0.
One I brought up in the steam group that i'd love to see someone do
A BP style arena. It probably isn't possible, but I guess its as simple as making an area and adding spawn scripts to it. But I don't have modding experience so I'm probably wrong.
Outside of damage and stamina it's not really much harder is it.
>when women say "eyes up here" they really want you to throw your balls in their face
I KNEW that was the one and only reason why I don't have a gf!
Yeah, the fighter shield augment helps a little in allowing you to block stronger attacks(like after I started using it I could riposte some of the eliminator's hammer swings). But for the most part it's probably faster and stronger just to full moon through everything.
As for warrior, I have limited experience with that in BBI, but the short amount of time I had with it wasn't too bad. Maybe try it once you get a decent longsword/hammer from bbi
Don't worry too much about hp. You can switch to mk no problem seeing as your stats are probably pretty balanced. Just know that mk is pretty boring until you start getting the fun tools.
Hydra-chan is cute!
>level last 60 levels as strider
>balanced attacks and defenses
>huge stamina, hp stops at about 3400
>level last 60 levels as assassin
>get over 100 more attack
>no defense, still crap hp
>level last 60 as MK
>stamina will probably reach 3900, HP should break 4k
I'm strider main so the 100 attack is tempting but the HP would be really helpful. Daimon 2.0 can almost one shot me with some of his spells if I'm not paying attention. What seems like a good idea?
>This potion should be used with caution, as resetting Pawns' inclinations makes it necessary for them to relearn desirable battle behavior. In many cases, it is more beneficial to remove an unwanted inclination by flooding a Pawn with elixirs for a more desirable inclination. See Pawn Inclination and Pawn Inclination Troubleshooting for deeper discussion.
Do this >>129544029
What the hell is so wrong with my pawn that it hasn't gotten hired since the game released? It has Utilitarian/Mitigator, and both the magick damage augments and faster spell cast
No. Just using 3 potions will set the values slightly above what Nexus currently has - it will go back to Nexus really soon too.
Also you aren't taking tertiary inclination into account.
That's what I did like 40 hours before.
>tfw you know that room (and yeah, fuck that room)
>tfw rents left and right
feels good man
>makes it necessary for them to relearn desirable battle behavior
shit I did not know that. I've been feeding mine neutralizing elixirs when she'd get scather primary from farming discipline off soldiers.
>No. Just using 3 potions will set the values slightly above what Nexus currently has - it will go back to Nexus really soon too.
>Also you aren't taking tertiary inclination into account.
Only if you're stupid. They got nexus because of a reason. Counter tat reason and they won't go back to nexus. Fuck the tertiary inclination.
That's because inclinations are ever-changing values that're being constantly influenced by your actions in combat.
To anyone having issues with their main pawn going Nexus: PLEASE READ THIS
Revive your main pawn LAST. Revive them AFTER you revive other pawns. If your main pawn is KO'd they will not see you reviving the other pawns, and as a result will not gain points towards Nexus.
I have no evidence of this working aside from hundreds of hours of personal experience, but after having tons of Nexus issues on PS3, I started reviving my main pawn last and Nexus stopped appearing completely.
Only one of them is a Gorechimera. Just kill the dogs if you aren't ranged so the Lich gets the fuck down for a bit and wail on him. And bring about 20 wakestones because fuck hellhounds
Yeah I've checked wiki, no more Spring Water on my main pawn.
I did not know whether Inclination Reset potion does indeed reset training too. Which is the only reason I've asked.
So I have a feeling I'm nearing the end of BBI journey (pre-matt damon). Is there another shortcut around here or is the last one you unlock really only the one after bishop?
>picked assassin because masterful kill looked really fun
>outside of that it's just abilities that do loads of damage
So which vocations have actually fun stuff instead of just purely powerful abilities
I want mAtk for Mystic Knight but Sorcerer just feels boring
I like running around and wrecking face too much to stand still and wait for spells to charge
Taking more potions will drop the values of the other inclinations, making it so they will rarely rise high enough to overthrow whatever you set the primaries as. You would really have to spam commands to dethrone locked inclinations
Farm the adds the Lich spawns north of the great wall, only spawns at night. Don't kill the Lich, just farm the mobs he spawns, you'll be done in no time.
Unless you want to avoid getting exp while doing it, then I can't help you.
>enter chamber of fate
>get my ass handed to me by 2 gorechimeras and a lich who summons hellhounds
what the fuck is this
Which level are you, anon? Maybe I could hire you, or someone else in the thread could.
Bishop is the last shortcut. You'll get a direct way back to Olra after Daimon, but you can't go back through it.
me IRL on the right or left depending how you think
pawn "romance" mod when
if you're a MA, Ranger or assassin it's easy.
I have one at the northern healing spring, one at shadowfort, and a third at Greatwall.
Used to have one at Bloodwater Beach to cheese escort quests.
Been carrying fourth with me for return-action.
Would it be a good idea to use the inclination and tactic resetting potion and then only giving my ranger a bow so she only does ranged attacks?
She constantly runs into melee range rather then shoot arrows
>get like 70-80k RC a day now
>average rating of 4 in everything
Feels nice that my pawn is being useful.
>that fucking room
>with two cockatrices
>and fucking wolves
this was by far the hardest thing I've ever seen in any game
My pawns turned to stone literally instantly and I was on my own for 30 or 40 minutes
The guide specifies that it fucks up the hidden inclination values that training creates, so it's not advised. Whether it fucks up pawns training specifically can't be said, because no one is really sure what pawn training specifically is.
Use both, specially if you're going bow
Daggers lets you roll, double jump and counter which are all great against bosses but Sword has gouge which melts anything and shit like whirlwind for mobs
At the very least carry some daggers for the mobility skills, personally I use them to jump up/masterfull kill up and then grab, switch to sword and gouge
>strider with bbl ring for helmsplitter/ kisses
>silver forged rusted bow and bbl lv2 daggers
>good augments and stat growths
>1 rate a day if i'm lucky
>0 when she was a warrior
Mitigator/Utilitarian, Dragon's Maw.
Lots of ranger levels for ST and Warrior levels for HP. No Warrior levels post 100 though. Pawn trained to spam Dragon's Maw as much as possible.
Any skills aside from Dragon's Maw are making your pawn weaker, but sadly people don't hire single skill pawns because they're dumb. So Dragon's Maw, Full Moon Slash, Blitz Strike are a pretty good setup.
Divine Defense, Sheltered Assault, and Cymbal Onslaught are good for shield skills with Divine Defense being the most important.
Shield Drum is a mistake, don't give it to pawns. It's great for Arisen, but Mitigator is a much more effective way to have a fighter pawn keep little shits off your back. Pawns are dumb, and they'll spam Shield Drum when they could be fighter far too often. Once combat starts only the Arisen can change the aggro of an enemy, so if you rpawn is sitting there slapping their shield while you're fighting the monster you pawn is being COMPLETELY USELESS.
I played assassin from 10-65 or something, then went NG+ and leveled mage to rank 9, sorc to rank 9 and got a few level ups in between. I'm an 82 MK now and have been a MK for a few levels, I have 405 base STR and 285 base Magic, everything is going fine and I still do a ton of damage with weapon enchants. I never use a staff though, never found use for it yet.
Was wondering if I should level sorc more or not, but MK stat gain is only 2 magic less than a sorc while getting more stamina/HP/str/defences.
I think it doesn't matter too much in the long run.
>want to get my shit dragonforged by the cursed dragon in Duskmoontower
>theres a firedrake I can't beat
Well shit. Is there another easy method to get your stuff forged or do I have to get my shit together and beat thet firedrake? I literally deal 0 damage, although I beat the cursed dragons in a hearbeat.
>Ghost enemies as a melee character
Oh man, really enjoy fighting an enemy for 30 minutes as my 3 pawns keep whiffing their spells for 2 damage.
Man, this game has some great enemy design, but what the fuck were they thinking here?
Both are pretty good, but one is a thousand papercuts and the other is literally driving your sword into your foe, to the hilt, then twisting it about.
How much do you hate your enemy?
I think your problem is that you're further ahead than like 95% of the playerbase, who are going through the game for the first time and at a far more casual pace. My lvl 40 pawn with average ass equips gets like 3-4 rents a day.
