Its easy to make a guy who has a clear cut and well known weakness broken in terms of stats. Because no one can ask "How is this balanced", its balanced because he's one guy that's easy to know how to beat strategically once you know the truth perhaps.

I just got a bug where my Saber Alter was able to select 3 quick cards and do an extra attack. It was also a turn after I swapped her in with the master skill. Her deck went back to normal after that turn.

Paracelsus is kinda interesting in that, if I understand the description of his NP correctly, he can pretty much replicate phenomena that should be reserved for the First Magic. And he does it on the fly without a workshop. Medea can do things that are pretty similar to the Second Magic despite her only being a magus, though.

She was noted to be the weakest servant in the fifth war, and not just because she's Caster. She's so weak, that even with a dragon, she's still not high tier at all.

Man, we've seen over a dozen Caster's to date already. Medea is already upper mid tier at most, but there's more than a few that overwhelm her entirely in ability. There's a few that really suck of course as well, but there's too many that are far better than her to pretend she's the best at all

Zhuge Liang, Tamamo, Semaritas half counts since she's Assassin/Caster dual summon, Alice, Solomon Ibn Gabriel, Gilles(Not in terms of actually being a better magus, but rather in terms of having a far more broken item. Medea can only become a threat if she has serious prep time on her side, while he can become a threat just by letting his book go all out in the middle of a city, and becomes unstoppable if the beast can feed), Gilgamesh Caster most likely, Babbage, Papaceulus(Hoheinheim), maybe Cu, etc.

Its stupid top think Medea is the best at this point. There's way too many that are just plain better by now even not counting Solomon.

Even if you didn't count Solomon, the next best would be Merlin.

Paracelsus's NP doesn't have anything to do with First Magic, he uses materials to make a product.
The product is Ether, which the First Magic has something to do with, but other mages use Ether too. Creating Ether itself isn't the First Magic. He doesn't even make proper Ether, it's fake.
In terms of a magus Medea and Tamamo shit all over him, although Tamamos is all non-standard shit like curses and mantras that we don't know too much about.

Medea is literally one of if not the best actual Magi in the series so far. She's a legitimately strong magus from the Age of Gods, and her being the weakest Servant in the 5th HGW doesn't mean much in a war full of aberrations. And she's still one of the only ones to get a bad end where she explicitly beats everyone else.
Zhuge Liang uses Wavers magic, Semiramis isn't technically a Caster, Gilgamesh Caster and Merlin haven't been seen, Babbage and Gilles aren't magus at all, Alice isn't a proper magus either and uses her RM for everything.
Medea beats out Avicebron and Paracelsus through Age of Gods magic that rivals True Magic, she seems to be better then Cu from both of their lore.
Her only rival so far is Tamamo if you don't count Solomon.
It's not a case of her being first you idiot, it's a case of her being THE ONLY Greek mage from the Age of Gods in the entire franchise.
