A lot of lyns in these threads seem to go way too far in over-emphasizing the childlike elements, ex. super-sized heads/eyes. At the end of the day, the lyn aren't really childlike in design/proportion, so it tends to just look bad/alien instead.

Well you can PvP in the open world. Just put on a faction uniform and others wearing the opposite factions can attack you freely and vice-versa.
Open world PvP is limited to how many people want to join in the fest.

Adding onto myself here to note the same thing goes for a lot of the people making 'thick' gon, once you start pushing the exaggeration too much you just start looking really alien.

'Thick'/fat characters in this game don't even look appropriate for that fetish, as they don't really put body weight on in any kind of normal fashion, it's more of a photoshop scale tool nightmare at that point.

This is also probably why when you actually walk around in game you'll notice a good 90% of people's characters fall within the same 'normal' height/weight range, it just looks the best for most designs.

I've been running along the whole time with a fiend and so far the pve is decent for what you'd expect from an MMO. That said, the story quest tends to send you into solo dungeons all the time with little to no warning. That can be annoying.

The best feat of this game is it's pvp. That said, the combat system is really fun and leveling is actually not mind numbingly boring because of that. PvE wise this game doesn't offer much more than your average MMO, it's really really average gameplay wise. Basically it has all it's marbles in the combat system, luckily it has done it very well.

it's not that good but it depends what you want.

i think it will "die" quite soon because most people will want/expect like raids with tanks and healers and stuff from an MMO with long term progression goals and ilvl treadmills supported by big raid tier content patches, happening in an immersive social world. BnS doesn't really offer that i don't think. the PvE is more like diablo or something where you just hop in and grind, you don't need a static schedule or anything.

however, if people really get into the competitive scene, and it takes off even just a tiny bit in the west, people see how the game is more like Bloodline Champs mixed with fighting games, mixed with Tera, it should hold onto a pretty nice community. there is still a question of holding interest there, it depends if they care at all to hold onto us. so long as they run lots of little events in game like 1-day tournaments, special skins, titles, icons, hats, skins, whatever, that's all you need. PvP content like that is much cheaper than making whole new continents and raids, so i don't see why they wouldn't invest in this. i dunno how the korean scene is but it seems like put community designs into the game which is cool.

right now nothing is really goin on, you don't even get beans. it left in this state for long then PvP won't even hold your interest even if you like the core gameplay design - which i think is pretty good.

Literally get fucking good. There's a slight imbalance towards Des/Sum/LBM currently, true, but only barely because of us not having access to certain skills. With two people of similar skill levels one class will not always beat the other, even if it's summoner vs bm.

Once you get to the endgame and you get really good gear that maxes out your critical rate, you can switch to the middle path for the DoT poison, because every single tick has a chance to crit, which means you will do way more damage than you would with the sunflower.

In fact, at that point you would want to change your 1 into the middle path, and also switch your 2 into the middle as well to convert all your main attacks into DoTs for maximum damage.

Sunflower is mainly good for leveling or if your gear isn't best in slot.
