So, my time with NG3:RE increases every day, and i've been trying to figure out how to play, based on what i saw in videos and such and what i could understand by just playing. well allright, i looked into it and here is what i got
animation itself is 13 frames long and armband loop is only 5 frames long. so the last loop in animation lacks 2 frames, thats why it looks choppy.

it's impossible that he does the third strike parry, and it's super impossible that the influence for some of Vergil's move in 4 comes from the basara crew

this is made even more impossible due to the fact that the producer of DMC4 is the creator of Basara since the beginning and just finished up Basara 4 before working on SE

I know RE is not very good but did you play it? Although SoB is a terrible mechanic the game is designed around it, if you nerf it then you only get yourself even harder enemies because in this game they made enemies pretty strong/dodge happy so you know, you can use SoB to instakill almost everything.

Of course, rebalancing one concept means balancing everything else in the game.

I'm saying that the idea is not totally worthless, it could be transformed into something good. Or they could just remove it in possible future games.

About needing SoB to effectively deal with enemies, i'll only say that after really knowing the game. And like i said many times, i'm enjoying my time with the game a lot.

rocket launcher ninjas I guess? the ones that shoot multiples are really easy to dodge. Just dodge in a 'zig zag' manner until you get close, with practice you'll get the hang of those guys easily.

The RLN that shoots only one rocket can be tricky because when you get close to him the recoil from his shots will be non-existent so you have to be fast dispatching them (guillotine throw usually gets the work done here).

Btw, shurikens stun both of them so you can throw some at the same time you are getting closer. Archers on the other hand can't be stunned with shurikens.

Also Mentor is a blast but the first time can be a pain because is full of rocket happy ninjas.

So we make a twitch channel and a google calendar

All those who have stream key(aka rights to stream) also have access to this google calendar. If you want to stream you just create an event in this calendar with date and duration. This way it will be easy to know when someone will be streaming and plan your own stream time or plan when to watch.


To get the stream key you would ask in skype to check out you stream quality. You stream on your channel for ~5 mins, if everything is ok with quality and skill you are given the stream key and access to google calendar.

If somebody is messing with schedule and interrupts someones streams we will have to reset the stream key to everyone except that guy. Thats not very convenient but it is the only way i can think of.

There's one made by a JP player, but it's not translated.

In short, though.

Analog stick to run around, double tap a direction to dash. Can dash cancel most things, and it buffers really well so as long as you hold a direction, you'll dash on the first possible frame.

X is obviously to jump, and doing a jump while dashing will make it go further. There are jump cancels, and some characters have air movement options with X as well.

L1 is guard, timing it before a move hits will parry. Holding L1 and moving the analog stick will evade. A similar 'just frame' version of the evade exists. Evade cancels also exist, holding an evade input will give you one on the first possible frame.

You hit things with buttons, which you get as you level up. Tag system is weird.

Should probably look into disabling Dynamic Camera, and maybe Guard Camera as well. Can change it so moving and pressing L1 will auto dodge roll instead of just guarding.

Yeah this video series. It's pretty much an Ieyasu tutorial, with a few mentions on tagging, and stuff on how the game tracks move usage. Even mentions some stuff about his hood that is no longer relevant because they made it only fall off if you get hit in SB4S.

another Tales anon here, yes, stagger times in Graces are affected by both Your Accuracy/Enemy Evasion stat and weakpoints stroke. Basically Namco's attempt to nerf infinite overly long combos, and they did it in the dumbest way possible
