so I got mgrr on steam and want to play it but at 1080p no matter what quality I run it at, it remains 24 fps, but when I originally launched it, it launched in windowed mode so I full screened it at 1080p and it ran at 60.
what I am asking is there another way to get it to run at 60fps besides starting in windowed mode
It is meant to look like red armband of leadership.
Blowing in the wind, like a fucking hero.
So, my time with NG3:RE increases every day, and i've been trying to figure out how to play, based on what i saw in videos and such and what i could understand by just playing. I'm still terrible at the game, but i did this to test on how convenient Ninja Cinema is to record stuff, since i use a camera.
well allright, i looked into it and here is what i got
animation itself is 13 frames long and armband loop is only 5 frames long. so the last loop in animation lacks 2 frames, thats why it looks choppy.
Reminder that an announcement is coming this year.
Am I the only one that think they fucked up Vergil's model in 4? His hair doesnt look as good and his face is more round and not as "sharp" as before
That's them slick PS2 graphics Anon.
They also modeled his face to be more like Nero's.
To me he looks less polished, in the visual aspect.
And good part of his moveset look like was made initially for dante.
Seriously, am i the only who thinks that part of his moveset in 4 doesn't fit him at all? Like the move where he runs slashing both yamato and force edge?
That Capcom would reuse assets from other games, notably ones they own?
I'm not sure what you're saying
yes, I'm sure it's impossible that Dante does shin shoryuken and thousand kicks
it's impossible that he does the third strike parry, and it's super impossible that the influence for some of Vergil's move in 4 comes from the basara crew
this is made even more impossible due to the fact that the producer of DMC4 is the creator of Basara since the beginning and just finished up Basara 4 before working on SE
yeah. To be honest he doesn't look like they put much effort in him. Some of his moves make no sense at all and ruin the whole motivation bar concept since he runs and waves yamato left and right, does million slashes etc etc
To fix his look I'd make his pants darker, make coat collar lower and make coat stick to his waist. This would make his face look sharper and also fix that illusion of him being fat.
The only reason Vergil has that many moves is that they had stuff to reuse. And this is also the reason why Lady and Trish don't have that much to show. In my opinion.
Just got DMC4SE a day ago, currently working my way through the Vergil campaign. I beat Dante and the Pope whose name escapes me, do I really have to backtrack through all the levels like Dante did?
Wait, I'm a console pleb, are there are actual fucking cheats in this game or is this just something you were able to do on PC? Because the idea of cheat codes being in a game released today is kind of crazy.
>playing through DMC3:SE again for the first time in a decade
it's like being punched in the dick repeatedly and I love it.
fuck nevan from both a sexual and an 'I hate this dumb shit boss' perspective tho
its cuz they based him off the cg renders for dmc3 rather than the ingame model
also what >>129323598 said about changing his face to be like nero's. if you swap their heads it becomes pretty easy to notice nero and vergil's faces are extremely similar- nero's is just slightly more rounded than vergil's. if vergil wasn't grimacing in his idle facial expression it'd be impossible to tell that their heads were swapped
Mitsunari is heavily inspired by vergil, and in SE, Vergil is heavily inspired as well, he even has Mitsunari's flash cancels which work exactly the same way.
>It's only a reference if they didn't just outright rip the code and plop it in the game despite it being the exact same mechanic and even in some cases the exact same animation
yeah, sure, whatever faggot, I'm sure Lady is totally original and has absolutely nothing in common with Saica
Real Nigga Date speaking: Boy calm your ass down before I chop your ass in the neck, being this aggressive and shit.
>people denying DMC4SE trish and lady arent cannibalised from sengoku basara character movesets
No I meant, to "jump in the air" you need to Melee something(like a wall), right? But at some moments he goes in the air but doesn't Overheat
I'm not American, so sorry for my shitty english
Yeah, it is a very broken mechanic, the concept is not bad itself, and in normal battles i avoid it most times (sometimes i do, but i don't stay fishing for it), but in some bosses i kinda use SoB
Make it that you can do only before or after the attack, make the timing tighter, make kill only 1 enemy, and being an insta kill only on the weakest enemies, at least from a surface level would make the mechanic more enjoyable. (making the input different would also help)
I see that WSW posts here but are you guys fine with other devs posting about a game they're working on?
I know RE is not very good but did you play it? Although SoB is a terrible mechanic the game is designed around it, if you nerf it then you only get yourself even harder enemies because in this game they made enemies pretty strong/dodge happy so you know, you can use SoB to instakill almost everything.
I've been playing for a while.
Of course, rebalancing one concept means balancing everything else in the game.
I'm saying that the idea is not totally worthless, it could be transformed into something good. Or they could just remove it in possible future games.
About needing SoB to effectively deal with enemies, i'll only say that after really knowing the game. And like i said many times, i'm enjoying my time with the game a lot.
I just started playing NG2 on Mentor mode and I'm wondering, how the fuck do you fight those guys that shoot billions of missiles at once without using ninpo? I can't figure out a reliable way to approach them from a distance without getting hit.
When are they going to do a remaster of DMC1 like with the RE series? There's been a Resident Evil remaster like every single year recently, and they've all been great.
I'm a dev on /agdg/, working on a 2D action game in my spare time. Nothing too complex but I am inspired by fast paced action games.
Here's a vid of what I have right now, too big for 4chan but there's a link to a 60fps webm in the description:
Hey guys, trying to git gud with Dante on DMC4SE, and I can't get jump canceling down that well. Mostly it's timing and distance but how exactly did you guys train to jump cancel with every weapon? Any tips would help.
rocket launcher ninjas I guess? the ones that shoot multiples are really easy to dodge. Just dodge in a 'zig zag' manner until you get close, with practice you'll get the hang of those guys easily.
The RLN that shoots only one rocket can be tricky because when you get close to him the recoil from his shots will be non-existent so you have to be fast dispatching them (guillotine throw usually gets the work done here).
Btw, shurikens stun both of them so you can throw some at the same time you are getting closer. Archers on the other hand can't be stunned with shurikens.
Also Mentor is a blast but the first time can be a pain because is full of rocket happy ninjas.
i can't believe i never thought of having the round trip high enough to do the non-sparda moves while it's coming back, it's so obvious
thanks alot brain
More like a guy putting in work with a character that he probably have fun and he cares about it.
And also, i appreciate his effort and work more than almost anything dmc related i've seen in this thread.
>tfw been playing all those gay ass games for years while neglecting cuhrayzee
fuck all of that, somebody please give me a crazy game to play and I will furiously webmlog about it
I can play all of them, except Ninja Gaidens 2, 3, Viewtiful Joes, and every game that came past 2015 I guess
shitty WoW-like MMORPGs and a stupid-ass economist simulator, you do NOT want to dig too deep into that rabbit hole
I'm already derusting my God Hand atm, feels pretty chill. Might jump on Vanquish/DMC next
Why did you ignore cuhrayzee games for so long, why are you now playing them, what triggered you to play cuhrayzee geyms?
I doubt you'll be around here for long judging by your taste in vidya. You'll be back to playing those shit games when your little cool down is over.
I think his accuracy is a perfect example of the shumpish segments in Bayonetta.
>tfw huge Lunia fan, spiritual sequel to Kritika
>game is ded and Kritika will never come to the west
>instead we get the shittiest most overhyped literally pay2play masked as f2p garbage vulgarly known as BnS
I HATE it
I didn't "ignore" cuhrayzee, just never took the time to pick them back up
answer to all three questions is "I am admittedly pretty fucking dumb" anyway
now for a quality test, the first vid is always the worst
Too complicated to manage, and probably no one ever thought about that.
A better idea would have a pastebin with links of cuhrayzee streamers, if there are some.
Mike's stream yesterday was good.
it is not that hard really
(I assume there is a skype conference where most of crazy guys are)
So we make a twitch channel and a google calendar
All those who have stream key(aka rights to stream) also have access to this google calendar. If you want to stream you just create an event in this calendar with date and duration. This way it will be easy to know when someone will be streaming and plan your own stream time or plan when to watch.
To get the stream key you would ask in skype to check out you stream quality. You stream on your channel for ~5 mins, if everything is ok with quality and skill you are given the stream key and access to google calendar.
If somebody is messing with schedule and interrupts someones streams we will have to reset the stream key to everyone except that guy. Thats not very convenient but it is the only way i can think of.
yes, we have a skype group.
no, cgg twitch still sounds too inconvenient for those who actually stream and it would be more convenient if people who want to stream just posts the link here when they do.
>no, cgg twitch still sounds too inconvenient for those who actually stream and it would be more convenient if people who want to stream just posts the link here when they do.
We can never have nice things.
it's more about it being convenient than about it being hard. People are just more comfortable streaming on their own twitch channel whenever they feel like it.
Though what would be really cool is a website that automatically advertises and shows active cuhrayzee streams of all players that register to it, much in the style of websites like speedruns.net but for cuhrayzee instead
I tried dodging in a zig zag and still got hit sometimes, maybe I just wasn't zig zagging enough or something. The ones the shoot one rocket aren't bothering me as much, probably because I'm used to them from NGB. Thanks for the help
Honestly? to haev one CGG stream, all we would have to do is have the main channel just "host" anyone here who's currently streaming
twitch literally has mechanics in place for this
style switcher actually has this already built in anyways- press f2 and enemies/you won't die, despite health being depleted to 0. f3 enabled heaven/hell one touch kills on both if you wanna get somewhere fast, too
haha, it's just what >>129417841 said. i bought dmc4se for trish p. much exclusively otherwise i woulda just kept casually playing dmc3se w/ style switcher whenever. it's a shame that there aren't more competent folks putting in work with trish though 'cuz i definitely don't feel like i'm up to the task of actually making her look decent
My copy of Sengoku Basara come in the mail today. Gonna give it a go.
There's one made by a JP player, but it's not translated.
In short, though.
Analog stick to run around, double tap a direction to dash. Can dash cancel most things, and it buffers really well so as long as you hold a direction, you'll dash on the first possible frame.
X is obviously to jump, and doing a jump while dashing will make it go further. There are jump cancels, and some characters have air movement options with X as well.
L1 is guard, timing it before a move hits will parry. Holding L1 and moving the analog stick will evade. A similar 'just frame' version of the evade exists. Evade cancels also exist, holding an evade input will give you one on the first possible frame.
You hit things with buttons, which you get as you level up. Tag system is weird.
Should probably look into disabling Dynamic Camera, and maybe Guard Camera as well. Can change it so moving and pressing L1 will auto dodge roll instead of just guarding.
Yeah this video series. It's pretty much an Ieyasu tutorial, with a few mentions on tagging, and stuff on how the game tracks move usage. Even mentions some stuff about his hood that is no longer relevant because they made it only fall off if you get hit in SB4S.
another Tales anon here, yes, stagger times in Graces are affected by both Your Accuracy/Enemy Evasion stat and weakpoints stroke. Basically Namco's attempt to nerf infinite overly long combos, and they did it in the dumbest way possible
