>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

>use jumping attacks constantly
>Sorcerer pawn starts mimicking me and now jumps sporadically whenever an enemy comes near
jesus christ I can't imagine how people felt about everfall BEFORE dark arisen came out, the layout of this place is fucking awful with all the DEADENDS everywhere and having to fucking backtrck whenever you clear a floor
BBI is much better, right? I don't want the fun to stop
Bitterblack Isle preparation check:
1. Are you a ranger, strider, or magick archer?
If yes You Have Passed The Bitterblack Isle Preparation Check
Within every enemy shall be designed for you and you alone
If no, get fucked
Anyone in BBI who wants to get some RC? I'm going to farm Daimon for a bit and I can bring two pawns with me, lvl between 100 to 137.
Would be great if you could hire mine back in exchange, sorc lvl 126 named Elhaym.
PSA FOR NEW PLAYERS
Don't be afraid of ruining your build. End game gear allows you to be very flexible.
My char is level 150 and built as such:
10 levels of Fighter
15 Levels of Strider
15 Levels of Warrior
55 Levels of Assassin
20 Levels of Sorceror
35 Levels of Mystic Knight
That sounds like a really wide spread, but he's fucking fine. With gear, I can play any of those classes (except maybe warrior) perfectly well, and I'm doing fine on my hard mode NG+ playthrough, and didn't struggle overmuch with BBI. Don't sweat your stats too much.
best traits for strider pawn?
I want her to fuck up people with daggers and bow.
Also, she's now using hailstorm/fracture dart/fivefold with bow, shearing wind/thousand kisses/brain splitter with daggers
why did duk choke his waifu and then forgot that imprisoned arisen and then acts like nothing happened.
How do I save that guy from the Griffin in the bluemoon tower? I want to make my waifu happy
>tfw you just wanted your heart back
Man the ending scene is great for reaction images.
Why even implement other classes
Can someone please give this ENB preset a whirl?
The lite version supposedly doesn't tank fps/loading times while also fixes the debanding issue this game has. It's not like your every-day ENB that has instagram filters out the ass instead it just enhances the vanilla experience. The screenshots suggest debanding is fixed and looking great. I can't right now since I'm at work.
Also is there a way to get the chest behind the doors on the huge underground arena ? Probably some shitty item, but i want it anyway.
Do we fight a Dragon there ?
I found out that my pawn looks generic ah hell, ponytail and all.
Not like I want to make a snowflake, but knowing that you put alot of effort to make something, only to find out that everyone and their grandparents already have it.
I hope my Arisen isn't overdone, as well.
God bless /ddg/. Finally got rents to work, and I come to find this. From the looks of it, my pawn went through BBI with both of them, one of them was a full clear of 1.0 and at least 1 clear of 2.0.
Returning the rent, I have both Pirotess and Vincent, President of the Muscle Wizards, with me now. Anything that you guys need gear wise? Level 3 weapons or armors?
I just get way too many levels way too fast from the Ur-Dragon and killing Cursed Dragons for Dragonforging / Daimon for lvl 3 gear.
I don't even sleep at an inn online now so my pawn doesn't get updated, at higher levels it's more difficult to get hires.
I'll get Haldir then
As someone who played the original and knows everything about it and BBI. The point of the everfall was for farming and getting loot. That's why there's so many 'dead' ends, but they always have loot.
Judging by how much fanart I've seen of Mercedes I thought she would play a bigger role in the game. All I did with her was escort the ox and then I see her once in a while in the castle.
Am i the only one having trouble connecting to claim rewards?
>tfw people added you from here and you rented their pawn
>they have yet to rent your pawn
>"loli" with terrible hair, makeup and the face of a 35 year old woman
I have high hopes for this one unlike every other ENB that I've seen for this game
implicate is another good option, depending on what you're fighting at the moment
all of the designated waifus/husbandos have sidequests, hers is fairly late into the game
none of them are really vital to the main story but they flesh out the characters a bit more
I'm stuck in a loop where fournival is always guilty, and there's nothing left I can do to clear his name, and the fucker never gave me the guard duty quest. Don't want to miss out on all this gear as it's my first playthrough
I know that feel, ese. Been playing my alt for the past couple days. Outside of /ddg/ I haven't gotten any rents. Trying to get my blackwing bow, I've been killing Daimon, restocking my perries/curatives/shrooms from Olra, then running back through the shortcut. Haven't been to the mainland to rest, so all of the spawns in the final rooms have been exhausted. There are no enemies left between the shortcut and Daimon, except for the occasional visit from death or a cursed dragon.
Laying off the main for another day or so, so people can catch up. I wrote your name on my notepad for return rents. Much obliged. Let me know how he does, he hasn't been making much use out of his skill ring.
As someone who bought the game three times, there was never any point to the Everfall.
2% drops for inferior weapons? Fuck yourself. Watch for grace and get your heaven's keys or whatever.
The globin jumps to the ground through the window and, i assume, runs to the underground arena. He got killed by the burn after he jumped on my game.
I joke NGP because the pawns seems like she knows what's going to happen and go down there to wait in advance.
Newbie here. Is there any way to teach your pawns to stop cancelling their spells?
>tfw Dragon's Dogma was supposed to be at least as big as Oblivion
>you were supposed to, at some point, go to the fucking moon
>it was going to be the greatest game ever
>capcom fucked it uo
I just fucking hate everything. I just hope that if DD2 is ever made, it lives up to the original concept.
>Try out Ur-Dragon since NG+
>does nothing but flap his wings and jump around like crazy while doing wide sweeps across the floor
>finally get near him enough to climb to his glowspots
>instantly shakes me off like a wet poodle
How am I supposed to hurt him when he never lets me get near his weakspots? Doesn't even let me use my bow effectively due to weakspot placement.
>At this point, the game was twice as large as the final product.
They really should make so that you couldn't recover to full health with items and whenever you used a ferrystone monsters respawned.
>Find healing water
>Figure out the cheese
>Braindead mode activate
That said, i don't dislike, i really wanted a mindless game that at least require some minimum minimum effort so i can pass my time.
Absolutely none. The only time anything changes in BBI is after you clear it once, and that's independent of NG cycles.
Don't listen to people who recommend going to NG+ before doing BBI, there's no point to it.
hire sorcerer pawns with the same skills
they will dual cast and distract him
play as a strider with the secret aug that increases strength when clinging, clout, bloodlust and a good BBI weapon
conquerer's periapts and a fuckton of mushrooms
climb on and spam thousand kisses until you get carpal tunnel
none of which mattered due to grace and the shops
Ur-Dragon only drops weapons (which aren't that good due to holy element and how damage works) and one set of shitty armor.
Shops also cost absurd amounts of money when farming lots of gold was actually time consuming.
Anyone wanna take the little lord out for a spin? Level 27 fighter
Tried to train him to block properly
>The fucking moon
Isn't that the endgame level of every jrpg though.
Your party going to space and getting into a fistfight with god. Ultimately triumphing with the power of friendship.
Into the brine it goes
Depends. Usually at least 5 levels. In areas like BBI, you gain levels so fast, it's not uncommon for you to be rolling along, then suddenly realize the pawns you hired are 15 levels behind you.
Then, when you get to a certain point, you'll be steamrolling most things, so you can take lower level pawns to get them RC.
>Level 20 Sorcerer
>Alright gonna go get Salomet's book real quick
>Those fucking bandits
>They take turns skullfucking my pawns
>I get one-shot in the asshole by some fag with arrows
Jesus I forgot how hardcore those guys are
>warriors are bad they said
My main pawn is a warrior and he constantly keeps shit on the floor knocked down. Just don't put AoD or IL on them and the perform great. I even switched my class to Warrior and we're wrecking everything in sight. Gorechimara, Drakes, Griffins nothing stands a chance
>have been picking up explosive barrels and tossing them at enemies every chance I get
>pawn has started doing it too
Warrior parties are literally the craziest, most fun shit ever.
Good shit. He's around my level, too.
>fighting Ur Dragon
>he goes flying around the arena like a faggot
>starts diving towards me
>hit him with an AoD right in the fucking face as he flies by
>he comes crashing down
is there a better feel?
Hit the everfall first. You'll get tons of wakestones, and some gear that will help. You'll also get a taste of some BBI enemies. There are 2 pawn merchants that sell the equivalent of BBI level 1 weapons, so hit them up if you were a different vocation when you killed Grigori and can't use the weapons you got from him.
>hit rank 9 ranger
>try out gamble draw
nah dude, Arc is pretty fucking silly on warrior pawns.
But YOU yourself have to play warrior and be good, then they hit arcs all day. Especially anything stunned.
If warrior doesnt have taunt is back to the rift.
Ur dropped the abyssal set, which then had the best defenses in the game.
You didn't even need it. Levels were more effective than armor.
Before Dark Arisen's balance changes and gigantic enemy defenses, no, the holy weapons were the best in the game.
>A general rule of thumb is that if a party cannot defeat the offline Dragon in a single round it is not strong enough for the online Dragon
Is this true? I need around 3~4 rounds to kill offline dragon
r8 my pawn
She's only got 3 rents and I wonder if it's because she isn't pretty enough.
I've never actual tried the starter classes beyond level 10, how are they late game and in BBI? Do they need a shut ton of augments? I don't think I can handle going through warrior and sorcerer again for augments, I just can't...
>Every area that i go have lots of dire wolfs and harpies
>Take 2 full updated weapons
>Archer and mage/sorc pawns destroys everything from far away in 1 hit with flame shit
>I don't even know if they're just that strong or they're doing some dank skill combo to 1 shot regular enemies
Fighter was way fucking better. Faster, good gap closer, a bit higher DPS, good iframes, royal guard. Warrior feels like a zwei giantdad. Just left click and tank everything, boring as fuck.
Dragon's maw on fighter does awesome damage and grants I-frames. Stand near a drakes heart and the fight is done.
Strider gets skullsplitter, upgraded to brainsplitter with a ring from BBI. With the right augments, it can be one of the highest DPS attacks in the game.
Mage is like getting fucked in the ass without lube or the common courtesy of a reach around.
SOMEONE RENT MY LVL 3x SOMETHING PAWN NAMED ATHENA PLS. SHE IS A GOOD WARRIOR - SMART, LOYAL and BRAVE.
SHE WILL BRING PEACE, JUSTICE, FREEDOM AND PROSPERITY TO YOUR NEW PARTY!
Basically, you'll see less banding from the high precision mode, but because they don't have any dithering on you'll still see banding. Apparently they noticed this, so on top of the already banded image they added film grain to hide it.
To be fair, though, you might not notice, but it does make me think about making my own vanilla-style preset.
I have to say, it's pretty fun just watching to see what your pawn does sometimes. Maybe i'll grind out lv.3 drake knowledge and try this again. Probably need some 100% possession resistance too, otherwise I need to rescue him every time he gets grabbed.
4x Warriors. Do it.
Weep with despair whenever you encounter flying enemies.
>pawn renting still isn't fixed
>can't buy art of plastic surgery
>still stuck with loli archer
Surely they will fix it.
Literally no other hair that fit the colour. Also had to decide between pale or delicious brown.
I'm open for suggestions though.
I should suffer some kind of punishment for playing a LL female strider who is extremely fit?
I understand how it's more effective the more stamina consumed, I'm saying it didn't bounce the fuck off like a twig when I moved in closer, it exploded
both shots were done at full stamina bar
>go to the inn
>your pawn has come back...
>2 praises for helpfulness
I know its not much but made me happy.
Did the PS3bro from the other night ever hire my Pawn?
>pawn has knowledge of enemies, areas and quests I have not yet reached
>Desperately look for good pawns
>None of them can even get through the defenses of Daimon 2.0
Guardian makes your pawn hug your crotch area and stay passive in fights.
Any other inclination is better than guardian.
new to this shit, still very early on in the game (lvl 11 strider with a mage pawn), but I'm wondering - is Dark damage worthwhile vs every enemy for that SICK critical effect it seems to have? aside from being thematically fucking awesome to have a Dark glow and to see tendrils of darkness choke the life out of something when I get that crit, it seems very powerful in spite of any innate resistances
>aside from being thematically fucking awesome to have a Dark glow and to see tendrils of darkness choke the life out of something
I need some help. I'm trying to use focus bolt but it always fires a regular shot first before charging and sometimes it doesn't charge at all. Watching vids I see people always pulling off a charge. Is there some kind of trick to this?
It would seem my pawn is on the right path.
You get easy access to buying these things depending on who you give it to.
Also, the ability to make a Forgery that gives you a 30% discount.
And you can give the Silver Idol to the other shop keeper to get these:
Without it, you can only give the one Silver one and one of the Bronze ones to the other merchant, only getting access to these:
All of the stuff can be gotten later, but being able to just buy the stuff is so much easier.
And I'm not entirely sure, but I think the higher ones also give the lower ones.
>That tiny head with huge traps
>Those man-large shoulders
The Dragon refers to grigori, right?
didn't get any stars so I'm guessing he died
I DON'T WANT TO DO ALL THOSE FUCKING ESCORT MISSIONS AGAIN
>Ogre grabs pawn
Why does this turn my dick to diamonds? I don't understand
About to do some BBI plunging
Anyone with unpopular pawns want some rents?
>Hire low level alt pawn on my main account
>Go through BBI, raping everything
>Even kill Daimon 2.0 with her level 19 ass in tow
>Go back to Gran Soren
>Outfit them with the best weapons and armor that are available
>Enhance it all
>Send them back with a level 3 cursed gear, hope to get a skill ring out of it
>Hop on my alt account, rest
>Pawn comes back with 3 pages of new enemy knowledge, stats that are 3 times higher than before thanks to gear, and 37k RC, even after the level difference reduced the amount
Damn it feels good to be a gangster.
psssh it's nothin personnel, but I just like that kind of thing
I know elemental types can be situationally crucial, a worthless pain in the ass, or both, depending on the game, but if I'm afforded the luxury of specializing in one then I'd rather it be one like that
I leveled my main as a fighter for 65 levels, just switched to warrior
Both specs seem useless, is there any way to salvage this into another spec?
I currently play sorc, but gonna switch to MA soon
>someone got a lvl 115 pawn to beat Grigori
from what i've gleaned from several discussion in these threads, it's that it doesn't matter too much unless you're super min maxing because gear can make up stat difference. Look up the stat growth per level on the wiki if you wanna make sure when you level up you're getting the stats you need, but you might as well mess with the vocations a bit till you find the most fun one for you. That's what i'm doing atleast.
I'll take it
Do mages still get hired at higher levels or should I swap to sorc?
>Not making your Arisen and pawn brothers
So I got 3 petitions from Symone, Fedel, and Gefferey. Also have the Chamberlain's affidavit, and the escort dude with me, Ser Castor.
This will be enough to prove Fournival is innocent, right?
Foruture reference, when you're selecting skills there's an icon in the descriptions that tell you what classes can use that skill. There will be basic dagger skills that can be used by each vocation that wields daggers, and then there will be vocation specific dagger skills.
I feel bad that most of my pawn rentals end when they get tossed off a cliff by something, or sometimes clip through the ground and fall to their death. Though I applaud human enemies that can do that to them. Chasing the mage guy for the ring at bluemoon tower was full of the warriors and fighters just tossing my pawn helpers over the ledge. had to go back 3 times to get them again
...is it finally alive? I got two rentals the day before yesterday but then I got nothing again until today.
I know these are nothing special but getting positive comments is so strangely satisfying.
No, very few rpgs actually end up with you killing god. You kill some nigga who might call themselves a god because of the powers they got or something but not a god
As for going to the moon I can only remember FF4, Star ocean 3 and infinite undiscovery doing that. It was only endgame in FF and IU
Jack shit and I'm bereft of rift crystals
I hire lolis and send back 1/1/1 and a rotten ambrosial meat
You know what I just realized? There is not a single horse or horse-equivalent to be found anywhere in Gransys.
What the fuck happened to the horses?
As far as anyone knows, no. Only mods that alter pawn stats (as those are uploaded), allow you to kill Ur-Dragon too fast (online again), or send lots of duplicate items (same). Basically if it touches online in a data way it can probably be seen.
Wait, wait, wait.
So, I just got my first pawn. Cool, honestly, very cool. But I thought you got to explore with a party of four and not just one more?
Anyway, when can I make 2 more pawns?
I literally did not do a single escort quest in my run apart from the standard ones.
Fuck bringing a squishy slow NPC with dumb AI across the entire map. Not worth it no matter the reward.
I don't know, I've only had one attempt on him so far but he seems way easier than cursed dragons and those big ogres, i'm just scared that 2.0 will be too hard to finish these quests, forcing me to grind in the regular area for a long time
You hire more pawns via the riftstones or by making a covenant with pawns you see walking about camps, towns, or just walking on the roads.
>At Bitterblack Isle
>Come across that Phantom Knight thing
>Goes magic mode and I barely damage it
>Bring back holy weapons and I still barely damage it
>A pixel every slash maybe less
>Say fuck it and Arc of Deliverance it
>Flies 30 meters off the cliff
Fuck it I don't care about the loot for that fucker.
My Rance-pawn got regular customer.
He gets rented so little I can tell.
Entrust your waifus to him.
He tries his best when provided boobies and cute pawns. lvl 40 fighter/scat/challenger.
How much riftbucks I actually need to buy things?
I tried to make her appealing in a non slut way but I guess no one really likes her
So I think there's a bug in the game.
My medium weight class character hits AVERAGE weight at 25kg, while a light class can hold 30kg before hitting AVERAGE, and large weight class can hold 40kg before hitting that.
The increments go; Average 20 kg, 30 kg, 25 kg, 40 kg, 45 kg from SS to LL respectively.
It's the only stat that decreases from S to M (30 to 25) all other weight limits increase for each weight class.
I can't find anything on this, only people on some stupid GameFAQ forum not even responding the the bug at hand.
Does /ddg/ know of this bug? It's quite annoying being averagely encumbered all the time..
That¨s what you get for wearing shitty princess set.
>Leave my pawn at 60 with full DF stuff, DF grig weapons
>Go clearing BBI, purposefully avoid resting while doing so and doint other vocations
>2 days later finally rest at an in
>1 hire, 3k riftbux
>giving the tome to steffen
>actually helping steffen with kill stealing
That's what I figured, but thanks guys.
I finally got to the point where I can buy stuff only slightly worse than the queen's dress so my pawn doesn't look like ass.
maybe I'll get hires now
>fighting the living armor in bbi
>fighter pawn up his ass, swinging away
>he starts casting his fire explosion
>fighter pawn stays on him
>what are you doing, this is like the third time we kill this guy, you know he's going to blow up what the fuck
>fighter just stays on him
>eventually blows up
>start running in to ress the dumb fuck
>fighter is alive
>it used Dragon's Maw to invul frame through the explosion
THAT'S MY GIRL
>breeze through end game and most of everfall no problem
>absolutely rekt the first fight of BBI, I have no idea what I could have done better, my pawns got utterly smashed
i don't know what to do. WHAT DO I DO
>tfw fire counter is busted and won't cast
try make him innocent
also when you get to windbluff drop a portcrystal there and just warp back to gran soren
there's also a quest there and if you do it right you can get the malorian helm + armor
it's everfall tier
You do know ferrystones can teleport escort NPCs along with you right.
Just place a bunch of portcrystals to key locations along the map, which is what you should be doing anyway, and suddenly escort quests take 30 seconds to complete.
Which fight? I get wrecked by the Gorecyclops and then spent 45 minutes killing the Cursed Dragon that spawned in the same room 2 minutes later. Used probably 100k gold worth of consumables in those two fights alone.
Also made me realize that I miss the much smoother enemy climbing/grappling mechanics in Shadow of the Colossus. The mechanics in this game are pretty wonky.
>be on my way to the femdit camp
>walking up the small path, almost there
>see their cyclops in the distance
>it walks right off the edge and slides down
Thanks for the laugh, DD.
There was a bug in original DD which made it that there was a super small chance of randomly getting your items dragonforged. It happened because sometimes a wyrm would fly into the ocean and die, while you'd get the credit for the kill
>The door will open when the 5 gems are placed inside it
You fucking what?
>2 friends play the game
>check their pawns
>other one is mage with 4 weapon buffs
>the other a warrior wearing queen's dress and guardian primary
I don't know what I expected
Yes. Even if they die accidentally or whatever.
>struggle making my pawn with the best inclinations and vocations so that people would enjoy it when they rent it
>no one rents it and i competently end ruining the experience for myself
>make a new save after i beat the game and just yolo how i want to play with my pawn
37 hires by level 51
Yah, shit inclinations and gear/skills might make your pawn shitty, but people fucking love hiring them.
Fournival never gave me the guard duty quest. I got 3 positive petitions and a pro-fournival witness, and collected NO anti-fournival evidence, yet he was STILL found guilty. Don't know if it's a bug or not, but there ya go.
If I use Cheat Engine to get the golden idol am I gonna get banned, or is it only pawn stuff that bans you?
My interpretation is that the Aelinore scenes were meant to be prelude Deny Salvation - the Duke uses the event to justify sending you away on the expedition you were likely expected to die on/never come back from.
But they realised this railroads you too much and compresses the whole storyline into one section, so they just spread it out and handwaved it alongside all the other times you get chucked in prison but nobody cares.
>game ran flawlessly until two days ago
>start playing today
>framerate regularly jumps from 60 to 45 (specifically 45) every few seconds
>when this happens the game goes full retard and does stuff like exit me from menus or stop receiving inputs
What the FUCK is going on.
I'm in ng+, should I bother with quests like trial and tribulations ?
I already proved him innocent before, but if I dont do the quest now what happens during post game ng+ ?
I only want to fight grigori asap to get a decent set of daggers for my strider, played MK during new game, and the mixed damage weapons caxton sells are just trash for BBI.
Just got back from work. What's the status on Ur right now? I wanna kill him and not get the Greatsword for once.
What kind of pawn do you guys think will be summoned more?
A tall strider girl?
Or a character based on someone (ie Hitler)?
I don't give a fuck about my personal decision, I just want summons.
My friends are also fucking stupid. I have four friends who play DD on steam and they are all level 40+, yet none of them understand how pawns work and they all have their base skills.
Yeah, I ended up resting 3 times for trials since I finished it so quick.
Cursed dragons can spawn in a lot of places in that area, that room in particular is a likely spawn spot and some people have reported him spawning during the Gorecyclops fight.
On the plus side you get some of your armor dragonforged after you beat him so it's worth it. It's a pain though, his attacks cover almost the entire ground floor and the pawns don't seem to like attacking from the upper levels, in particular the sorcerers.
I spent half the time ressing pawns to use as a distraction and the other half just waiting for him to fly up so I could snipe his heart. The hitboxes on his legs are weird as well so when he's writhing on the ground inviting you to melee his heart, you don't get as many hits in as you think you should since his legs block you.
Just did a few round with him, one time he was 5 health bar done, the next round he was 4 bar and a half.
Overrall I think did alsmot a full bar with those to rounds so I'd say he will be in Grace in an hour and half, maybe less.
make sure the game isn't set to variable framerate in the options, that can fuck shit up
fun fact, while the game is still capped at 60/30, the menus/UI runs uncapped
Caster pawns have ADHD, so no.
As a general rule with caster pawns you try to give them quick casting spells and buffs.
Apocalyptic sorceror spells are the exception and even then you have to be choosy.
Alright so my problem isn't isolated to the Fire Counter skill, it is a problem with whatever spell is in slot X
Anyone else have this issue?
You don't need the items by the time his shop updates, anyway. Go talk to Mathias at the Greatwall camp, maybe boost his affinity a bit with harspud shit; he sells plenty of great stuff.
Let's say I hire two sorcerer pawns, one is a level 50 pawn that has little experience as a sorcerer and the other is max level. Will the lvl 50 learn better techniques from the max, or will the max pick up bad habits from the 50?
Early onset warrioritis. Eventually you'll completely lose the use of your left bumper skills. We can try to delay it as long as possible, but it's very expensive. I can recommend a very good hospice service if you like.
Part of basic Sorcerer behaviour is the syncing of spells. Provided the inexperienced lvl 50 pawn has at least one of the same as the other, more experienced pawn, they will start spell-syncing straight away. Pawns don't actually learn from other pawns though, only their Arisen.
The system weighs actions against each other by how much damage they deal, so if the lv200 is performing better and dealing more damage, the lv50 should learn from it, and not the other way around.
Is this the worst designed fight in the game? I've tried having it stand underneath but it doesn't get me high enough and my strider pawn refuses to attack anything but the golem when it's nearby.
I suppose that was it, as it seems to have calmed down now. I just have to wander what the hell my PC was doing in the meantime, because the game never fucked up like this before.
restarted my pc and it just works again, what the hell kind of glitch is that
>Pawn comes back with reviews and shit
>Shows the first reward and info
>"How did i do"
>Server fails to get some data, says to reconnect and try again
>It's still online, i just didn't get anything and if i sleep again it does the same again
>Try to re-launch and try again
Anybody else having similar problems?
If you value damage over utility when it comes to augments then you probably want to get Attunement, it's a 10% magic buff which doesn't sound like much but it's actually one of the few scaling damage buffs in the game, and it will stack with Acuity.
Keep in mind Anodyne works on Zombies, so if you're at the stage in the game where you need to go into the Catacombs then it's actually a really good timing to get Mage levels. As a general rule it's worth getting levels in Mage earlier than later as it wanes in effectiveness even more as the game goes on (at least for an Arisen, Mage Pawns are always decent)
The other benefit of getting levels in Mage is that if you unlock Frigor/Comestion/Brontide then you'll be able to use them as a Sorceror from Rank 1 instead of being stuck with Ingle and Miasma until Rank 5.
Well that should be easy enough, Thanks.
Get your pawn over there and just angle your camera up and stare directly at the medal. Maybe try swinging your weapon at it a few times, just to tell them "Hey, attack"
Don't look away from the medal unless you're literally about to fucking die
I did it on my Warrior last night. T'was a pain but it's do-able solo.
What I did was have the golem be right under it, climbed up top of it and baited him into attacking his own stupid totem. A couple of jump attacks from myself and it was down. Took a whole ingame night but it got done solo.
>someone adds you on steam
>maybe someone liked my pawn!
>add them back without checking their profile for once
>instantly sends me some link and blablabla
Talk about disappointment. Time to hunt monsters I guess.
defence is basically applied twice, and damage is based off two stats, one of which will be shit unless you leveled 50 times as the class opposite your playstyle
this happens in a lot of games, it isn't unique to dd
>according to the guide, a saurian who loses its tail gets a huge nerf in defenses because, in a saurian society, a lost tail demonstrates poor fitness and a lack of virility, especially to potential mates
>psyops are effective against lizardkin
>spot in catacombs where pawns get stuck
>usually just pick em up and throw em over it
>pick up spider instead
And that's nightmare fuel.
/ddg/ pawns going for a walk.
Level 20, dropped the portcrystal off at Hillfigure Knoll, and grabbed the second one there. Now going to go and drop the second portcrystal at the greatwall. Hit up the vendor there, upgrade my gear to stuff that is better than what Caxton can sell.
I just started playing as a Sorcerer for the first time.
What do I need to know? My pawn is a sorcerer so I don't want to do bad stuff they will copy.
No, the two quests aren't linked in any way, they just share the same required items.
If you give a Gold Idol to one, you can give a Silver Idol to the other.
As a general rule it's always better to give Maddy the Gold Idol as it's more beneficial in the long run, with Caxton providing more immediate benefits.
you know, now that I think about it, it's just Capcom games that have this fault. Dark Souls does it well, but Monster Hunter and half a dozen other Capmcom rpg have the same problem of splitting base damage between the element and physical, and then applying defence to both.
>just found out I can't make my pawn a MA or MK
I don't want to play anymore
I bet they did it because the fucking consoles were overheating or something
If a weapon has 50 damage and opponent 20 armor you deal 30 damage
If weapon has 25 physical damage and 25 element damage and opponent has 20 resist on each you do 5 damage of each type to amount for 10 damage.
basically they have 2 defenses against your attacks
Fucking hell how do I maximize her affinity before the Pride Before a Fall quest?
So I'm almost level 50 and so far I've seen a whole bunch of Cyclopses and Chimeiras, a few ogres, two Griffin, three Golems, two Wights and one monster with the head of a cock. Every small encounter is either goblins, bandits or those direwolf/snowharpy pieces of shit. Skeletons if I'm lucky. Right now I'm on my way to slay Grigori and I'm not impressed with the variety of enemies so far.
But of course! I filled my inventory as well as my pawns the minute I started the game.
>infinite and nearly free
>give tons to pawns
>never have to heal again
It's possible to do solo just keep trying and bait the golem to hit his own crystal under him.
You can manually aim spells. It's clicking one of the thumbsticks, can't remember which. This is awesome in BBI and other interior places, since you can cast the spell (I recommend high maelstrom) around corners before the enemy has seen you, and unleash it into the room.
Also, get used to abusing differences in height. Always be looking for something that you can climb on. Rocks, broken pillars, stone slabs, etc. It will take melee enemies longer to get to you, give you more time to cast.
Even when you get your nukes, keep a fast cast spell equipped, probably ingle. You can bring down quick flying enemies for your pawns to attack, or take out runners.
>get my first Pawn report after the "fix" happened
>1 star in appearance
Well sorry for not having a loli, random Arisen. Fuck you too.
My Arisen looks identical to him without the helmet. Twin old men, running the world.
>resting at inn
>one reward of 27k RC
I could only max it on that quests after she
lost to blondie. I could only hear the bells before it and I did throw like 15 cloudwine on her. After this, you must not talk with anyone else that you have high affinity otherwise she won't be captured
Almost certainly. There are other MK/MA npcs wandering around, so it's not like the skills are literally too complicated for the AI to handle.
I really can't think of a game that has suffered as badly because of consoles as DD
Give her Cloudwine. Do it until she glows pink.
Dont talk to anyone who isn't a merchant at all for the rest of the game. If you have to talk to someone, constantly unsheathe/sheathe your weapon - hell, do it to merchants too.
Delicious brown ain't easy.
duke was a mistake. they were obsessed with berserk so model him after that but then said he was also an
arisenand also a dick for reasons
>this guy has been the duke for so long and has only recently gotten a 15 year old girl for his wife
they didn;t flesh him out at all well
I did it on my sorc, but couldn't you just lure the golem over there and jump off him?
The servers like to shit themselves, just wait a while and it will fix itself.
