>/aco/ Thread (NSFW goes here)
So can we talk about how falout 4's roleplaying is actually mostly intact?
I mean you can still be just as binary good or binary evil as in previous games. Just off the top of my head you can wholesale slaughter vault 81 right after they open the door for you. You can blow your son's head off the moment you meet him or even before he says a single word. You can even cut down every single person in the institute before you blow it up and then kill the stragglers trying to escape when you do blow it up. You can kill every person in the railroad the moment you meet them.
You can be a sociopathic, genocidal maniac and the only difference between this game and the previous ones is that the game doesn't glow red for a few seconds and tell you you're being a genocidal maniac.
And the prewar stuff doesn't even matter in the slightest. It doesn't matter if you were a lawyer or a war veteran at all because your past died and became completely irrelevant when the bombs fell so there's not even a diffrence between other games and this one since you're still basically a blank slate protag. What matters and shapes who you are is what you do, now what you were in the past.
Plus whenever the main story or shaun is concerned you have the option in every conversation to say he doesn't even matter or exist so the >muh son meme people keep spouting is sorta just a blatant lie.
Roleplaying in fallout 4 is completely intact and better than its ever been . So what are people so mad about in the first place?
I fucked up my character's face even more after this picture.
So I just completed my first run through (institute), discovered like 90% of the map and the game is boring as fuck.
How do I keep the game fun? Minecraft autism? Mods and roleplay autism?
evens or dubs I uninstall this pos anyway
No matter what you do everything will still look like a shitty favela at the end,I'm just waiting until the GECK comes out and someone makes a flat terrain mod so I can actually try buidling anything
I agree with a lot of what you're saying, but this is /fog/ and people like to shit on it and you're not going to change their minds about it. But that's /v/ and /vg/: vidya gaems are all shit (but we love them, even if we'll only rarely show it) (And we'll hate anything new and only like older things that we shit on in the exact same way we're shitting on the new stuff.)
Mods. If you haven't found something to interest you or anything then us telling you stuff would probably just be forcing it. Just move on to something else and wait for some quality mods.
Obviously not. I don't even care, I just wish they would properly spoil their shit.
>can't be an evil player, outside of just being a dick
>no way to do quests (outside of like maybe two or three) differently based on whether you wanna be good or evil.
The Silver Shroud quest would've been perfect if they let you do this, but no.
>only defense is that you couldnt rp in other games either
You could still RP more in both NV and 3, especially NV.
>Plus whenever the main story or shaun is concerned you have the option in every conversation to say he doesn't even matter or exist so the >muh son meme people keep spouting is sorta just a blatant lie.
Is this true? I dont remember every dialogue wheel but I sure as hell dont remeber there being any options that allowed you to advance the main quest without mentioning shaun or your primary motivation for moving forward not being finding shaun. Especially when the kellog and memory den stuff rolls around.
Doubly so when you hear the memory voice overs. It voices you're character's motivations and how they feel about the situation regardless of any actions you've taken previously or what you've said, or allegedly havent said, about shaun and thats completely outside of your control.
Literally the only things about your character that you create are its name, its face and maybe its personality depending on what dialogue """"""choices"""""" you make. Everything else was created by Bethesda. It has a pre-determined background and everything. Even in Skyrim, for example, you had more flexibility. The only thing pre-determined about your character is that he/she is dragonborn and at some point before the start of the game he/she was captured by imperials. Hell your character in F4 even has a canon name, so that doesn't even really count.
I picked up this again and beat it, and quite honestly, it reminded me how... Uninteresting it was.
There's not a whole lot of rping to be had. You are a courier, no matter what you do. The entire plot isn't saving anyone, or stopping some big evil. It's just picking a side in a three way battle between morally questionable groups.
You CAN go full ncr, or full legion, sure, but mostly you just pick a side at the end.
Don't get me wrong, its still more rping than 3, but I'd argue 4 is more rping.
>implying you get to determine even that
You could have been an asshole for the entire game and callously laid waste to 3/4ths of the commonwealth's innocent settler population and you'd still be a concerned mother/father oh so traumatized by the painful memories of losing your son and spouse once the memory den happens.
Hands down the worst part of the game and absolutely murders any hope of roleplaying existing in Fo4
Mod Organizer when.
Tried making Askeladd from Vinland Saga but I need more hairs styles.
I was really looking forward to doing an evil playthrough until I realized the only way to do that is to ignore like half of the content in the game (or more) because it's all "help this person or group" and there's not nearly as many options to do it the evil way like there was in NV. Hell one of the very first quests in NV lets you choose between saving Goodsprings or slaughtering it with the powder gangers. Then you have the fact that there's an actual inherently evil faction in NV you could join instead of picking the one that has the Commonwealth's "best interests" in mind the least. They're all misguided in different ways, but the Railroad, BoS, the Institute and the Minuteman all have varying degrees of "good" and genuinely believe they're doing the greater good, as opposed the Legion who just wanna murder, rape and enslave people and donlt give a shit about anything but themselves.
I wanna be able to fucking terrorize the Commonwealth, and I can't.
There's way more rpg elements in NV and most of them are also in 3.
>>I wanna be able to fucking terrorize the Commonwealth, and I can't.
You can. Just join the institute and say the institute is going to rule the commonwealth with an iron and abashedly unforgiving fist during the speech.
There. You've just done an evil playthrough.
Guys you HAVE to install this mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6473/?
Game is fun again.
>wake up in a vault
>realize family member is missing
>vault is infested with rad roaches
>fight my way out
>see that the world has changed
>make my way over to the nearest town
>non american accented character greets me telling me where to go to find my family member
>meet a black man who will become a meme
>he tells me to go to a big city
>go to big city
>members tell me how to find him
>meanwhile brotherhood of steel is making headway in the wasteland
>as i fight my way to find my family member i hear bad things about the big bad
>i finally meet the big bad
>they want me to join them because they think they are helping the wasteland when in reality they are dooming it
>brotherhood of steel decide to make final assault on big bad with
>big bad cant fight back
>kill big bad leader
I was summarizing fallout 4's story
Why are we still playing this shit again?
>no interesting and diverse dialogue choices
>voice acting for player
>dragon age 2 dialogue wheel
>terrible melee and unarmed combat
>no fucking varaition in guns other than attachments
>everyone uses pipe pistols
What's wrong with curie?
Sure she has the worst special stats of the companions but she's just supposed to be french eye candy to hang off your arm and whom you fuck when you feel like it.
There's nothing wrong with an eager, energetic trophy wife.
I can't stand fake accents, even more so the French one. She is particularly horrible but I never pick her.
I guess getting an actual French va would be expensive or maybe the accent would be too difficult to udnerstand.
Reminder that Eden, House, Kaisar, and Shaun are all different sides of the same egotistical, multi-sided coin
reposting from the last general but rate my vault mom
>Hell one of the very first quests in NV lets you choose between saving Goodsprings or slaughtering it with the powder gangers
Literally blow up Megaton-tier.
If this is what you people consider "choice" then I'm glad we live in a deterministic universe.
Except for the fact that Eden just wanted to murder everyone and not think about who was human and who wasn't
and Shaun literally saw nothing wrong with stalling progress of the wasteland to fuel his tests.
Caesar and House wanted to further their own egotistical goals but they would better the wastes for it.
Dooming the wastes for your own goals is a fucking lazy mans way to write a good villain.
Nonsense. Shaun is closer to Caesar and House than any of them are to Eden.
Shaun saw nothing wrong with "stalling progress of the wasteland" because as far as he's concerned, the Wasteland is already dead. There IS no progress to be had. He has his own humanity to worry about, his chosen people, the population of the Institute. The Commonwealth can git fucked.
I want anon's waifu to dunk my head in a cold river and call me a nerd.
>be carrying a message
>get shot in the head
>robot tells me they went to x city
>go to x city
>black dude tells me they went to y city
>go to y city
>dude with a wolf head on his head crucified people and tells me to tell everyone how bad they are
>go to vegas
>meet dude who shot me
>also after that kill some old dude and a total number of 2 (two) major civilizations with nearly limitless resources just by doing random shit
Why did we play this shit again?
It's choice nonetheless and it's virtually absent from 4, which is what I'm arguing. I just want different ways to finish different quests. I'm almost 40 hours into my second playthrough of 4 and I don't think I've had the opportunity do that a single time yet. Every quest has had the exact same outcome even with picking different dialogue options
not that I really, truly expected anything else tbqh.
Got a problem with correct pronunciation?
Except that isnt a repeat of any fallout games story. Fallout 4 is a complete rehash of fallout 3's story except done 10x worse.
Shaun literally sent his kill bots to murder rep's of the surrounding settlements goverment who already had trade lines, protection, weapons, food, water, ect all set up.
House and Caesar cared for their own goals but they saw the wastes as a needed thing to further their own goals. House knew the NCR was the only thing providing power to new vegas and were the only things at the time of fallout NV protecting vegas from an all out legion attack. and Caesar knew that Vegas and the surrounding area's could better his own civilization due to important trade lines there.
Shaun literally stunted growth and saw nothing wrong with it because the wastes are already dead and he didnt even see the wastes as a needed thing to keep due to the fact that the institute literally has everything and then some in civilization terms.
Got a settlement that needs help
>Except that isnt a repeat of any fallout games story.
It's still pretty fucking terrible if we're going to oversimplify things.
Not defending Fallout 4's excuse for a plot, mind you.
Funny, I thought you'd love that you considering you're a fucking Dansefag
sharp features =/= man jaw btw senpai
>see someone talking shit about 4
>retaliate by talking shit about NV
>that'll teach him!
>tfw New Vegas and 4 are the only Fallout games to date with any complexity of plot
Literally every other Fallout game is
1. Save the Vault! But wait, the Master and his Super Mutants need to be stopped!
2. Save the Village! But wait, the President and the Enclave need to be stopped!
T. Protect the Waste! But wait, the Calculator and its Robot Army need to be stopped (not that we're directly ripping off the original inspiration for Fallout, no sir!)
3. Find the dad! But wait, the Robo President and the Super Enclave need to be stopped!
I'm annoyed that it took until 2010 with NV for the games to get morally complex
4 is incomplete and raises far too many questions, but at least it's a step in the right direction, the direction New Vegas took
>heavy weapons mad scientist villain run would be a lot more fun if it wasn't for the "you're a lawyer" backstory
>literally the only time the character's past ever comes up is a sidequest
Seriously if you could ignore backstories back when the PC didn't have voiced dialogue, then you can ignore them now
>tfw no Yes Man-esque true neutral path in 4
I can't wait for mods goddammit. All this waifus are garbage. Even metal gear has better material.
None of the previous PCs had as much of an established backstory than the SS, but even Nate has more of a reason to know about heavy weaponry and science than Nora
Didn't once call her my "waifu" m8
>None of the previous PCs had as much of an established backstory than the SS
This, the Chosen One has far more living relatives than Nate/Nora and they get involved with the main quest as well, but it's harder to ignore Nate/Nora's Shaun
I've been to
the Instituteand met you-know-who.
Synths out in the world
used to be hostile, but now they're not, and have blue names instead of red ones.
What happens if I shoot them anyways? Anything major?
They die. Father's cool with it.
The Institute will only turn on you if
1. You kill Father, or any other human member of the Institute
2. You take the quest options where you tell Father to fuck off, then forge your own path to the golden tomorrow
Nope. After several shots (as in they're already dead or basically are) the ones in immediate vision will turn hostile, but it makes everything involving them super easy if you're with a different group. All of the stuff with killing generic faction troops involves a "if there are no survivors no one knows" kind of thing.
>RAAAHH FUCKIN KILL
>why did they need to do this
Maybe it's just a voice in your character's head, and that line is conveying the urge that using the chem gives your character.
Or maybe their lips really do move in 3rd person, too, and they really are saying it out loud, and Bethesda really is that fucking ham-handed.
It wasnt even me who posted that. Anyway, have a danse lewd
No. There is nothing morally ambiguous about those fucking worthless fucks. Bethesda made it so difficult for me to actually give two fucks about these people.
True. They're the most neutral of the four main factions in 4, but I just feel absolutely no motivation to help them on my current characters. It doesn't feel like I'm paving my own way in the wasteland, and instead, I'm having to just pick up everyone else's mess.
Like, for fuck's sake Preston, I literally just saved your ass and demanded money for it, and now I'm the general because I scared away a few raiders from two butt-fucking farmers?
"His earliest memories being of the Brotherhood, it was highly likely he was a virgin, nevertheless he comforted Sole. “Soldier, there’s nothing wrong in that… you are not judged on how many times you’ve experienced another , but what you do and who you are as a person… and I know you well enough to guarantee that you? You’re a pretty good one.” Sole felt easier knowing they had Danse’s support, so when he floated the question “This… isn’t really easy for me to say but, I feel as… as if we’ve become closer in the last few months and I’d… well.. I want to know how you’d feel if… if i were your first? The love in Danse’s voice was all Sole needed to make a decision, they’d want nothing more than Danse to be their first. For a big chiselled hunk of a guy Danse is incredibly gentle with Sole, for their first time with another person, Danse wants Sole to be comfortable and enjoy the time they spent as one. Danse made Sole the centre of attention and focused entirely on them, not wanting for nothing Danse pleasured Sole until they could take no more, when they asked him to stop, he did exactly that. Danse was like the perfect lover."
>get Big Leagues perk, chance to disarm opponent
>opponent is now able to block all of my melee weapons with their bare hands
Why does melee fucking suck?
Danse: he held their head back as he released his load onto Sole’s eagerly waiting face, Sole couldn’t help but begin to feel the warmth of Danse’s cum, smearing all over their face with their hands, as Danse returned from nirvana he looked down at Sole, who on their knees had worked had for their special reward, in a thoroughly satisfied demeanour, Danse let aloud “Ad Vic-toriam indeed soldier ;)”
The clothes in this game do a good job of hiding a person's fat.
Not using ENB, just the optional ReShade preset that comes with RWLE.
I don't see where people are getting this. In the log, a high-ranking officer in the US military was being interrogated for general defense information, including launch codes for nuclear ICBMs, nuclear ICBMs really being the only viable weapon we could use against them. Wouldn't it make sense to have to codes to have them for that reason, not necessarily spark Armageddon, which would be counterproductive to their whole reason for being there in the first place?
By order of Provisional Governor Graham, a state of martial has been declared.
Under the terms of the Martial Law Act, section 12.J, those refusing to comply with a curfew order are to be pacified.
Repeat, will you comply?
No use since i cant find it either, i doubt you can
>not being down with the thickness
why did we have to be married. The thought of betraying my husband like that makes me sick to my stomach and want to vomit. Not to mention companions starting to fall for you if you travel with them long enough. All of this just makes me ill.
Can't wait for the alternate start mods. Please.
No but there is a sure fire way to break dogmeat.
Make sure you have him in your settlement when the guy comes by selling a dog. Apparently there can be only one and dogmeat will disappear and never talk to you again or follow you again ever if you find him. Nice job bethesda!
>Nate says "my wife is in the past" to MacCready if you homosex
>Murdering the BoS towards the end of the game
>Running', shootin', nukin'.
>Get up on that big metal thing to fire down on them
>Liberty 'Better dead than Red' Prime
Holy fuck, i'm gonna have to do another run and join the BoS, i missed that glorious motherfucker
MacCready: Says it reminds him of someone he met out in Capital Wasteland, but Sole is definitely his favourite person in the blue jump suit, “Damn the sight of you in that vault suit is better than any amount of caps… you know err… if you wanna go someplace private I can show you a couple other things I’m a pro at, and I ain’t talking about sniping” Sole giggles and leads MacCready into Home Plate throwing him onto the bed.
>thinking that it ever changes
It's really not, but I'll be sure to make waifus that conform to your standards next time senpai :^)
How can one poster be such a fucking pleb
>tfw ywn be a cute girl that kisses girls
its because this game is full of nothing but used goods and its literally impossible to make a pure SS so all the waifufags went to tesg.
That left nothing but faggots to fill the void here.
Is there any reason we all think there's enclave on the moon?
Was this foreshadowed in the game?
Actually, what kind of stuff do you think we'll actually get in terms of gear in the expansions?
You can't make perks into level up options. Are the new areas going to be filled with new magazines and comic books?
Think we'll be getting new power armors? Or just power armor paint jobs?
Nothing to fix famalam
in my opinion.
I think I made a good looking sole survivor and frankly, a better looking one than many of the other ones I see posted. But everyone has their own preferences, and this one falls within mine.
No salt here except your own
One of the best knife fights I ever got in. Some kinda bigass sandstorm and I can barely see shit. It later got so bad I was running into walls because I couldn't see. I was just running at guys based on the sounds of their gunfire!
Nick is super chill and never changes from his calm dick tone.
install True Storms. trust me, dah
dream team updated. standing in woods at night with friends edition
Cait gets mad at things everyone else in the group likes, so I have to constantly pick locks to keep her happy
is it possible to use a knife for a melee build or does that only work for stealth characters?
I want to make an asshole melee SS playthrough that cuts up and eats her enemies to gain their courage.
That's what it is. I am so glad I got it!
Yes. Love this damn thing. Pickman was cool. Saved his ass and now he leaves piles of Raiders everywhere with his calling card on them.
I went through most of the game using a Combat knife and then Pickman's Blade. I just run up to people and stab the shit outta them. Good times!
Dogmeat has a friend.
Also, why does my new screenshot replaces the previous screenshot? I got my SS screenshot replaced by this picture.
Thanks anon. I think it's about as nice as you can get within the confines of the facegen in this game.
Not sure, I had the same problem on my old PC. Just built a new rig and I haven't had it happen yet, but it was annoying having to transfer them after every time I launched the game.
Is he gonna show me how not to rip the skin?
>There are people IN THIS WORLD who are making Fallout 4 mods with new meshes in the game
WHAT THE FUCK TELL ME YOUR SECRETS NOW OR I'LL HUNT YOU DOWN TIE YOU UP RAPE YOU UNTIL YOU'RE ABOUT DEAD UNLESS YOU TELL ME HOW TO DO IT
Fuck the current character generator limits.
Why does curie like when I join the brotherhood? They're against everything she wants.
also, I know they were playing on
sympathyfor Kellogg's memories, but I can't help to forgive him, he did the best for himself from the way he was raised and semi successfully at that.
>Enjoying bright ass "night" skies.
How can you even enjoy playing a stealth character if literally everything is fully visible in the middle of the night? It completely breaks the suspension of disbelief when a bunch of raiders are looking right at me and there's a big [HIDDEN] at the top of my screen. Fuck you and your shit taste anon-kun
a tragic backstory does not excuse a genocide.
Not saying kellog genocided anyone but I dont care how bad his childhood was. He made the decisions he did and took the actions he took. Unforgivable, horrific actions are just that. Unforgivable horrific actions no matter who they come from.
The creators of Old and Current Fallout have told you they plan to reboot the franchise and are putting you in charge of The Lore and overall development overseer of the new games!
What will you change? What will you keep the same?
For me, my first idea goes like this:
>No game can be set more than 120 years after the bombs fell (by that point, life in the wastelands should have return to some semblance of normalcy. And a "reboot" fallout 1 would be set maybe only 40 years after the bombs fell
>Ayylmaos and magic can be canon, but must NEVER be shown in a way that makes it obvious. (So alien ship easter eggs would never end in a searchable crashsite, and any potential reboot of Mothership: Zeta would begin at a Bar/Chem den and end with the player waking up back on earth)
But then everything would look muddled and unrealistically dim during the day. Have you even taken a step outside at night you fucking NEET? Or ever been somewhere without disgusting levels of light pollution?
>keep a mod slot open
Either you're running on a toaster or you have way too much mod bloat if you're worrying about "mod slots".
From what I've seen of 4's nights, they do seem a bit bright. I'm not saying they have to be pitch black either, but it really does improve muh immersion when I have to actually use my light/night vision/flares to get around and fight shit.
If you've ever been out in the country late evening/early morning you'd know nights end up being pitch black. Not like >>129175179
where it looks like it's night in the suburbs or outer city.
>Either you're running on a toaster or you have way too much mod bloat if you're worrying about "mod slots"\
Sure shove shit into something because you can that makes sense. Also I can play Fallout 4 on ultra so my computer isn't a toaster.
I enjoyed your post and your opinion is valid.
>Ditch the whole East coast vs. West coast divide in the fanbase and visit some other iconic american locations for a change.
>Next Fallout takes place near the gulf coast
>Playable region includes parts of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi
>Get a nice blend of arid plains, dense woods, murky swamps and marshes, and coastal areas
I want it. Please god I want it. And no, fuck FO:BOS, that shit isn't canon. I want a legit Fallout to take place in this region.
>Head back to Sanctuary to scrap some extra weapons
>Pip-Boy says there's 0 settlers which makes no sense
>Get there, no settlers are gone but all my crops, generators, turrents and water pumps are broken
>Never received a notice that it was attacked
What the fuck?
Actually, I kind of agree with you there, one of my own ideas if I were head of a rebooted fallout Franchise is expressly trying to spread out installments geographically, and potentially having a bulk of them be chronologically happening at roughly the same time. (thus, what the player did or didn't do in the previous game is a moot point since you wouldn't have heard about it yet)
Though, in that sense, Fallout 2 would end up oddly being the last game in terms of the chronological scale.
Why XCOM and Peace Walker?
No it doesn't
I dont excuse the SS' atrocities just like I dont excuse kellog's. No matter what happened to him in the past he still made the choices to kill and become a mercenary for the institute even after his wife and baby die. Thats all on him and he doesn't deserve any forgiveness for it.
Damn I can't wait for Geck. I hope Outfit Studio can port guns. It seems like it can, but not for the Assault rifle.
This is how you have multiple stories (where the player character is given open-ended choices as to how events unfold), locations and factions able to take place within the same world and not horribly conflict.
Nah. The lich is from Overlord. It's an edit, obviously. In the original, he spends all that time casting buffs for a big fight, since it's an MMO turned into a real fantasy world. Not a SAO type of deal. The MMO shit is basically just a setup for a fantasy anime
The knife may work better than bigger weapons, depending on who you ask.
It's very easy for enemies to knock you out of attack animations, so prioritizing speed may make the difference between dealing less damage and no damage at all.
Pickman's knife in particular is useful for killing shit like Mirelurks, if you pick it up at a low level, because it's bleed effect isn't reduced by armour.
>find the pillars of community after going through hallucigen
>walk up and start talking to brother andrew
>people start shouting for someone to do something
>start getting shot
>conversation wont end
>end convo at 14%hp
>heal up and fight the group of 7 raiders passing by
>head back down and start following andrew
>see a vertibird across the river shooting at something
>try to sit down to talk to andrew, cant because im still flagged as in combat
>he tells me to gibe money or i report u
>choose hard speech check, fail it
>vertibird crashes into his office, killing him
i said i was walking out and i fucking meant it
Anything but Texas. I would love Louisiana. I'm still hoping for Northwest Commonwealth. We got cannibals, and we got the birthplace of the plutonium used in the first atomic bombs.
Outfit studio can't port Power armor correctly. Unless you do it as a normal armor...and that just looks shitty.
Would probably be easier just to add decorations and extra plating to existing Power armors, like the Advanced Power armor, then paint it.
Advanced Power armor is REALLY FUCKING CLOSE to Space marine armor anyway.
Trainwiz already made a mod like that a while back.
But I imagine it wouldn't be hard to do in nifskope or OS. I'll do some experimenting with that once Geck comes.
I kinda wanna make a huge spear type weapon, but I dont think there's any weapons that Power armor holds in both hands. I guess one handed huge spears / halberds are cool, too.
I also cant wait for physics enabled capes and other cloth materials on Power armor and armor / clothing in general.
>Anything but Texas
May I ask why? Serious question. Texas offers a great amount of variety in climates and geography. Plus a great amount of historical elements that would lend itself to a Fallout title.
>inb4 muh cowboy/redneck maymays
so if i'm going back through the series do i just skip fallout tactics or... ?
can anybody recommend a guide for the original two games so i don't spend too long banging my head against my keyboard?
What are the best settlement mods for getting comfy with your waifu?
the ones that will come out after Todd releases the fucking GECK
fleshing mine out
>base TBS mechanics from XCOM: Enemy Within with covering system
>in place of RNG, SPECIAL is a static mechanic that is set per unit upon hiring them, all units [both friendly and enemy] found anywhere have the exact amount of SPECIAL points distributed, you cannot change a unique character's SPECIAL even after rescuing or hiring them, you can change the SPECIAL stats for units you hire from Mercenary outfits once after hiring them
>Settlements will directly influence how your entire army/militia/raider band/etc perform
>Settlements are built the same way as Fallout 4, new pieces can be used after you have seen them once
>Can be expanded to be bigger
>only one settlement per game but you can pick any neutral area in the USA to start your settlement on
>At settlements, certain units are better cooks, medics, weapon manufacturers/engineers or guards
>cooks obviously keep everyone fed, the better the food the higher the morale
>Medics not in your exploring rotation will be in the med bay healing other units
>Engineers maintain the settlement, weapons and armors
>They can reverse engineer anything if you give it to them to disassemble enough times or if you give them a blueprint
>Combat units not in your current exploring rotation can be used as guards
>materials are brought back after each fight or looted off the corpses of raiders attacking your settlements
>you can train rescued refugees as scavengers that give you a higher percentage to bring back even more materials, you can also attempt to capture enemies with the cattle prod, if captured by a good sided settlement raiders become 'Reformed Raiders' for five levels before you can set their SPECIAL and decide if they are a mercenary or a faction unit
>everything minus the lore from previous Fallout games makes an appearance this game
Is there a mod that makes the cranking of the laser musket faster or make it so you only have to crank it once?
Pretty sure you'd need to speed up the animation if you want that, or write a script that calls PlayIdle() (or whatever function FO4 uses). Both of which really aren't possible until the creation kit is released.
this might help, not sure though. has a feature that removes reloading and increases damage so you can balance it to hit hard with a single crank.
You can get a unique (non-moddable) auto laser musket from Sturges after you finish the main quest. Not sure if it's unique to siding with the Minutemen though, but that's how I got it.
I'm a fucking retard and I can't get rid of the black panty bug in NV. I've tried reinstalling the mod and FOMM's Archive Invalidation. Is there anything else I can try? The mod is T6M Equipment Replacer NV.
I'd make a spin off title taking place in prewar america. It would be about how the populace turning on each other as food, water, gasoline and other basic necessities become more rarer on the daily. You would play as as a rookie police officer during military lock down in a city, and you could help keep the peace or be greedy steal supplies and allow general chaos to ensue.
M&B has real time 1st/3rd person combat to keep it interesting.
And the game practically never reaches a static mode unless you're a cheating bastard or playing some shit mod.
The focus of the game as described just feels very narrow. You could extent the pace of progress with certain design choices, but with game features like these there always comes a point where you can't progress any further and it stops being interesting
No, I haven't used power armor once and I've managed on survival. It does get pretty hard at some points, but psycho jet will get you out of anything, do the diamond city blues quest and you can make over 50 doses if you loot the five chem shipments.
The game would take place prewar. So no you wouldn't be a ghoul. I imagine factions could be:
Local citizen militia
And maybe make your own gang to take over the city or some shit.
The Bright headlamp option for Enclave Power armor has always bugged the shit out of me. Its just...floating an inch or more off the eye. Looks weird unless its night.
So I finally fired up Nifskope and fixed it!
a more appropriate example in my case
why does the sun keep on shining?
B R E H S
okay but don't they know it's the end of the world?
Everything is pretty powerful once you invest in the melee perks. Big Jim and Pickman's blade are the best uniques to start with because they're only guarded by raiders, but they're still tricky to get. Kremvh's Tooth is pretty good since you can use the blade mod on other legendary machetes, the super sledge is really good for two handed and Grognak's Axe is beast VATS weapon (same AP cost as a knife)
You can find a machete in Concord speakeasy before you fight the raiders. I recommend investing in STR and AGI, and using sneak. Get the Blitz and Ninja perks maxed out as well if you can, Ninja gives you 10x sneak attack when maxed. Blitz basically lets you teleport to enemies from afar with VATS.
Try to challenge yourself and go the entire way without firing a single shot (except in quests that require it)
>I once dated a girl who looks like that.
I'm so sorry for you anon
shit taste, that there is a 3/10
>tfw no Vault Meat figures to collect and hot glue
You're right, I was more basing it off of Fo4 character models than IRL. In real life, 4/10.
Plain is better than straight up ugly, but was sorta ugly in a strange, weird little way.
Not quite 3/10 though.
Nobody ever seems to remember the massacre of University Point by synths on the chance there might be some salvageable technology there that they were interested in. The only attempt at diplomacy was some autistic asshole (My bets are on a Courser) demanding they hand it over OR ELSE, when nobody had any idea what he was talking about.
Shaun is a fucking asshole.
Does that thing have a happy trail?
>Has never seen somebody on strong steroids
Its not a meme, people actually do become hyper aggressive and much, much more likely to shout shit like that when on steroids.
Source? I've known a few people who do them and lived next to a drug dealing steroid user.
nah, if you look at a few of em you can tell that it's just the abdominal muscle gap
It actually gets stronger based by how many cells you have, doesn't it?
So if you crank it once and give all your other cells to a follower or something, it will do that amount of energy cells worth of damage.
got 160 hours logged on steam and I never see her later in the game. DLC perhaps?
other ideas for a rebooted fallout bouncing in my head, admittedly not as good as the others:
>The Institute, The Enclave, and The Brotherhood of Steel each are major factions which loom over the wastelands of North America, representing the scientific community, the government/ruling corporations, and the military respectively
>Likewise, each one has had their own methods and means of working to control the wastelands, the BoS are the most up front, the Institute rely on their robots ("beware a free mr. Handy" is a saying) and other tech, and the Enclave, while commonly using force, also employ subtler methods of control.
I guess I just like the idea of something like The Enclave seeming like a military power, but that's just a smoke screen for their actual methods of control using things like rebuilt media, Manchurian candidate settlement leaders, etc.
in this sense, I sort of imagine Fallout 2's story would become chronologically the last and end up with a sort of minor bittersweet tone that "The wasteland is being tamed, society is returning, but the spirit of adventure is vanishing and The Chosen One is basically the last great hero of the Wastes before they vanish."
let's try to be fair, we've seen plenty of the East Coast and Westcoast, so maybe at least one game set in the southern Gulf would be cool.
That sounds pretty cool, actually.
For me, she just stays in that building forever.
