Going without torches will give you a lot more gold. I wouldn't recommend it until you get some half decent trinkets.

Also general knowledge of the game and level 0 sacrifice.

Focusing stress damage dealers help a lot too,and so do stunning. Try to get an arbalest and a Houndmaster.

you either make enough money to guarantee a well equipped, upgraded, stressless team everytime, or you'll be broke forever.
how to fix it? run some level 1 dungeons with a level 0 suicide squad without overbuying provisions. upgrade price reduction of town stuff so you'll be more efficient in the long run.

It's not crap, but nothing's really been done to fix the repetition. At first, I hated the corpse changes, but the possibility of heart attacks only really comes on really fucked up runs, and corpses can often play into your hands with all the ways you have to manipulate them.

With how valuable Prot% dropping can be against higher-tier enemies, it's a very useful skill. I am disappointed though the Leper didn't get a similar skill or any changes at all really with this patch since it would really improve the Leper as a character to me personally. Some of these other patch notes baffle me however.

This game is really fun. I've started really getting into it today and it's hard but manageable. Thing is, my last expedition was really, really bad and Dismas died and the 3 guys with him went insane and fled. Question is, should I just fire the insane guys? They're only level 0 and I'm not sure if they're worth the time needed to heal them. There's a replacement Occultist, Highwayman (both already hired) and Arbalest available in the caravan.

Grave Robber / Occultist / Bounty Hunter / Crusader

Grave Robber : Lunge, knife toss, fade away, poison dart
Occultist: tentacle pull, damage debuff, mark, and heal
Bounty Hunter: Collect bounty, finish him, stun bomb, mark
Crusader: heal, stress heal, melee attack, and either stunning attack or holy lance.

It managed to withstand the first level of the darkest dungeon.

If you're on death's door with zero HP, the skull is read instead.

Just finished the 2nd dungeon, going to figure out a team to do the 3rd.
I think I encountered a bug, I succeeded in the second assault, but the dialogue isn't unlocked. And the 1st assault is no longer checked off in the caretaker goals, but the 2nd is.

There was an email from the DD team not too long ago. The custom trinkets are not in this patch. They will be in the next one.

When it goes live you can open your trinket inv and press enter just as you would to hire the special backer heroes, enter the name and get that free trinket.

X-COM, even TFTD in Superhuman, is MUCH more manageable than Darkest Dungeon.

If you want to, you can just grind Disruptor Pulse Launchers(or Blaster Launchers in the original) give one to everyone(making sure your squad is psi resistant) and then just nuke the final level in one turn.

In this game, no matter how much you grind the RNG can just shit all over your face.

In X-COM avoiding damage is also easier since you can just hide a character out of the line of fire. No such thing in Darkest Dungeon.

Also, a total squad wipe in X-COM is barely a hindrance, since the distinction between a veteran and a rookie isn't that big and you're hardly strapped for cash after a few weeks. X-COM also requires a lot less grind, you can beat it comfortably in ~20 missions while Darkest Dungeon requires at least 73.

Now if you're talking about the new x-com, I agree fuck that game

I can see limiting the number of fights the buffs last for making sense. I was really surprised to see that they lasted "Until next camp" what with how strong they were. I could really see how one could abuse that, and I suppose people did.
