Okay, let me recap, earlier today I swtiched over from RxC.ucks to Rei + NTR and updated Emunand to 10.4, everything working fine and shit until I try to access the eShop because I didn't relink my NNID in Sysnand.
I couldn't do so because it required a system update so I followed some steps I found on GbaTemp:

>Use TinyFormat to format Emunand
>Follow setup like new
>Link NNID
>Inject backup Emunand using Emunand Tool
But now fucking NTR doesn't work, it says firmware not supported and starts dumping some code or I don't know what.
Already uninstalled NTR cia and reinstalled, nothing, replaced ntr.bin with one directly from the github, nada. Running out of ideas, any help?

Mario and Luigi Paper Jam won't run. I've installed it multiple times with different CIAs, region free, with apparently no error. I'm on RXtools. When I select over it on the main menu, no spinning preview comes up but the music plays. When I run it, it says checking on SD card and then an error message pops up that says to reboot. Other games work. Whats wrong?

Also note that if the 3DS turns on after downgrading but the homemenu doesn't load, look at the FAQ in the pastebin. It happened to me and I thought I might've bricked but there was a fix for it.

I tried installing (not sure of this part) and running cakes unsuccessfully and when I tried to run rxTools again to play I got a freeze with a gray screen on the touchscreen.

I almost freaked out but decided to tr again... and rxTools booted into emunand normally.

I shit you not I was this close of having a heart attack.

Nope. There's no actual update. For some reason, with the way the cia installs, it thinks there's a part of the installation that's incorrect and wants to go to the eshop to correct it. The game runs fine regardless however.

The Resident Evil games have the same issue iirc. It doesn't affect playing the game, it's just annoying having that message there.

It was exactly that, I used notepad to modify boot.cfg for it to read cakes.dat from ctrboot and when I tried to run it I got some screen with failed loading files such as firm or whatever and when I selected Boot CFW it went back to the ctr, it booted automatically in rxTools and got a freeze.

I reset the console after copying my boot.cfg back and erasing the cakes files, booted rxTools like always and got the gray screen.

Reseted again, let ctr do its thing and now everything is normal again.

All I did was to follow this exact step and nothing else before that (see pic) and then skip to step 21, then it happened what I told you.

Hey quick question, my R4i 3DS has been working fine and beautifully on my 3DS with no problems, but for some reason I cannot get Professor Layton and the Last Specter to work for the life of me. The game works but not all the audio plays and London Life just doesn't work. I tried using a rom that claimed to be patched and still nothing.
It's weird too though, since according to r4ids claims that WOOD 1.39b fixed Last Specter. Any ideas?

So my sd card finally came today, however I think I'm fucked.

When trying to get to browserhax my internet browser on my 3ds xl kept saying "the internet browser is currently unavailable" or something to that extent. My 3ds is currently on firmware 10.1.

So I can't access the browser without updating, and I can't update because fucking 10.4 came out JUST as I finally got my sd card. So I have no idea what to do now to get my firmware to 9.2. I can't use my fucking browser.

Am I fucked? Is there any other way for me to get 9.2 without having to spend 60 bucks on cubic ninja?

If you're using a Mac, it creates a bunch of junk files that cause that. You can delete them with FTBrony, get rid of everything that starts with an underscore in the update folder

I think something similar happened to me before, the rxtools screen was weird full of lines screen but emunand booted normally.

And yesterday after I changed my time in emunand, I booted sysnand to see if everything was okay (I remember an anon that apparently got his NANDs relinked by that but it must be something on his end), but after I went to system setting and closed to get back to emunand, menuhax froze on the first gray screen which never fucking happened and it was a full freeze, which doesn't even turn the screens black until it turns off completely. Got scared as fuck but everything looks normal.

You download CakesFW, slot0x11Key96.bin, firmware.bin, cetk (The ones corresponding to your console model of course), edit CTRBootManager's boot.cfg to replace /rxTools/sys/code.bin with /Cakes.dat, put firmware.bin and cetk in the CakesFW folder, boot up CakesFW through CTRBootManager, go to Select Patches and tick everything except Load 7.x NCCH crypto key, go to Configuration and tick autoboot and then press Boot CFW to make it run.

Yeah, it's safe to update in CakesFW.
It'll be able to run games that aren't version-spoofed just fine but won't do version spoofing itself, same as Rei and rxTools.
Hell, system version spoofing being largely unviable is half the reason CFW and the very concept of emuNAND exist.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I'll give some coverage in case any other anon is having issues with it.
If you install a custom theme on the program that comes with homebrew, on reset menu manager will be broken, and you'll only be able to boot into sysNAND.

This is an easy fix, go into browserhax like it says on the retard guide, and boot into homebrew. Choose the Menu Manager one, and hit install.
