Reposting from last thread. This is my first playthrough and I don't want to miss out on all this gear.

I'm in a pickle, boys.

I'm currently stuck in that weird limbo state of Fournival's trial where, if I enter the town square, it triggers the cutscene where Fournival is judged (guilty, at the moment). As long as I avoid the town square I can keep delivering evidence, though.

I never got the golden idol quest so I need him to live.

The witness who testifies on his behalf was murdered by a griffin.

His daughter refuses to give me her petition, I don't know why but she won't give me an item she just says "I believe my father is innocent" over and over.

So, the only way for me to get an innocent verdict is to buy all those things from Reynard. But I can't fucking find the guy. What's the best way to find him? Does anyone know what it is that resets his location, whether it's time passing in game, or quitting/loading, etc?

Been trying it out after 50 levels of Fighter and Warrior, and really digging it. But obviously for some of the more powerful skills i'm going to need Magick. Any good weapons for that? The Maces sure as hell don't seem to have any.

I know Reynard will travel between Gran Soren, the Encampment, and Cassardis. Wait long enough at one of those and you'll find him, check the wiki.

Alternatively just let Fournival hang and move on. It's not THAT huge of a deal, get the Golden Idol on NG+ for the discounts tho'. The real reason people like to save Fournival is he sells periapts which are helpful in BBI 2.0, and you don't have to worry about that yet.

Is it possible to train a pawn and keep it trained if the pawn has a very different vocation to mine?

Yes, I could switch from Assassin to Sorceror to train up my sorceror pawn for a couple hours. But I'm eventually going to switch back to assassin and then slowly un-train it as it watches me as an assassin and goes back to rushing into battle and trying to climb shit instead of hanging back and throwing magic.

Is it possible to have a well-trained pawn who is ranged when you are melee, or vice versa?

Some maces or swords come with an enchantment.
I already talked about it earlier but if you enchant a purely physical weapon with a buff, you get a lot of mag that will boost the Great Cannon. Overall, tests have shown that you'll do more damage with a physical enchanted than a mixed enchanted. Of course if you don't have an enchantment on your weapons then your GC will do shit damage, so always have a skill just in case like holy enchantment.

You can go full Sorc until 200 and have a pretty balanced MK, but then it depends what kind of periapts you're going to use.

If you go full strength you can just use four conqueror's periapts for every fight. If you go mixed it's better to use four conqueror and four demon.

All the weapons at the black cat are showing 0 amount. What gives?

Here's what I tried last time I played: I slept at the inn in Cassardis until morning. Made sure he wasn't in Cassardis, then ran to the encampment. When he wasn't in the encampment I ferrystoned back to cassardis and slept till morning again. Rinse and repeat. I did this 6 or 7 times and never saw him, which is what started to worry me.

Having done so for multiple old playthroughs, yes you can.

In my experience, a pawn uses abilities that it has proven work well. If my pawn learns to climb as that vocation, me changing doesn't make it range any more than before unless I change its inclinations.

There's a damage cap set in place to prevent ruskies from insta-killing Urdy. If you don't see "Accessing server..." after he flies away it means you went over the limit and your damage will not be accounted for.

It's far from perfect, but at least it prevents people from cheating the system.

An exceeded round will have no effect on the online Ur-Dragon's health - the damage cap was implemented to avoid save-edited enhanced characters upsetting the balance of play.

I answered in the last thread, actually. Getting tired of the "/ddg/ don't answer nuthin'" bs.

Anyhow in brief, you can be a different vocation from your pawn and it's fine. The key is taking some time for a good training session, pick either your pawn's vocation or one similar and take it out against some monsters you're comfortable with until you are satisfied with your pawn's performance.

After you switch back to your main vocations, your pawn will learn some bad habits from the mismatch... BUT as long as you trained it well it won't forget the most effective techniques and will just get a few "quirks" that aren't really a problem.

any tips on training a strider pawn?

current setup:
kisses/implicate/brain splitter
downpour volley/fracture dart
scather/challenger

i have been training him on and off and i am trying to train him to use the bow only for enemies he cant reach in melee. he really likes that fucking bow though.

is fracture dart worth it? ive found that in bbi he often gets stuck shooting fracture darts which promptly stick themselves into the ceiling and do nothing.

id like to make him focus on melee more, and essentially just spam brain splitter and downpour volley as much as possible.

any tips? i know 'teaching by example' is best, but can i reinforce this by basically just going to the everfall or something and spamming brain splitter until he picks up on it? should i take the bow away for a bit?

when there are flying enemies/boss is attacking she will attack with bow. When it is safe to attack she will brain splitter/ climb and thousand kisses
