pawns are slowly starting to work again
>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

Is this /fa/ enough?
Literally on stage 3 so not many equipment options yet.
A tiny AhtoHotkey script that improves even more the PC controls
Control+Alt+F will enable borderless fullscreen for 1920x1080 screens
Clicking the middle mouse button will loose a normal arrow when you're in your secondary weapon's skills
M will open your map
C will open your equipment
J will open your quest log
I am not going to min max but I seriously need some help for the final battle, I don't do damage at all, any tips like a reccomended level to do that quest, which vocation I should reach that level with and/or which vocation is best suited for that battle?
I have currently unlocked with enough skill only strider and magik archer, the rest I got to grind for vocation rank yet (fighter rank 5, magik pally rank 3 and everything else 0)
also interested about this >>129004139
Asked last thread but ill ask again anyway.
HD textures when
Is there a Reshade/ENB that just makes the colors a bit more vibrant? I don't care about lighting or anything, I'm just tired of the "Platinum Syndrome" where everything looks kind of dull
Oh well, weekend is over so I don't exactly get to test it out now anyhow.
>Been holding on the same two pawns to guaranteed their rents
>Don't want to fuck it up now
>L33 and L11 respectively, I'm L96
>gained monster knowledge (that can only be acquired by rentals)
some anon in a previous thread said that it was possible for your pawns to gain monster knowledge while wandering the roads of gransys while in another players game.
Dunno if its true though, my level 49 pawn seemingly hasnt been hired once, but has a ton of 'unidentified monster' knowledge, even though I just finished the game and already fought every type of monster possible, I believe.
>hire a loli pawn for a few levels
>see that same loli pawn wander the streets in her underwear the next day
>get pawn back
>5 star rating
>learned a bunch of quests that I didn't do
>pawn now in top 1000
how many pawns are there on PC release right now? I remember my pawn being in the 25000's before the servers were up.
What gives Warrior the hardest time? I'm having my doubts about the class and I figure if I go watch a video of somebody fighting the most frustrating enemy, I can figure out if its gonna be the sort of thing I'll actually enjoy even later into the game.
Camera zoom mod when?
I want a close up camera when not in battle and higher FOV for that personal and immersed feeling.
I also want to be able to zoom in and out further in camera mode.
>receive tons of friend requests
>a couple people talk about my pawn in the thread
>go to check their rank
>tfw make a qt Pawn
>tfw I like short girls
>tfw loli backlash
She just wants to snipe faggots and help.
Any single target that will outlast you in attrition.
Man low level BBI runs are so fun, didn't know throwblasts were so good at dealing damage that shit is just reking a bunch of enemies for easy exp and now I just purified a 600 atk sword still can't do much to the first boss though but able to kill chimeras/cocks/cyclops/ogres easily at lvl 30 hunter.
Copy the pastebin contents
Paste it in notepad and save the file with whatever name you want and n .ahk extension
Run the game
Double click the ahk file
yes the pawn will have knowledge of the enemies, and use that knowledge according to inclinations.
ie : if your pawn knows a foe is weak to fire, and said pawn is a mage, he might use fire affinity. If the pawn doesnt have access to buffs that will be 'useless' knowledge, unless the pawn has Utilitarian inclination, in which case he will make the call during battle that the enemy is weak to fire.
Same logic goes for everything else, vocation / inclinations combo is important.
new game + barely changes anything. the "endgame hard" content is BBI and BBI+. you should think about BBI, not NG+
you can go to BBI at any time so if you want NG+ is also a good time to switch to hard mode
>Just killed a Cursed Dragon with one round of trip-cased High Bolide
Why wasn't I doing this sooner!?
>dragons dogma dark arisen sevice is not available
please tell me this means they are fixing it right this very second
New England, got a hire message, no RC and a rock, 3 stars.
The message on the steam discussion page said that they had no idea what caused it, but it should be fixed. They also said it may take 12 - 24 hours for all of the kinks to get worked out, but are encouraging people to rent as per usual so they can check shit on their end.
Then delete the hotkey part. Here's the script with just the borderless window thing
#IfWinActive ahk_exe DDDA.exe
;Pressing F5 will pause the script
;Pressing F6 will close the script
;Control+Alt+F will enable borderless fullscreen for 1920x1080 screens
WinSet, Style, -0x800000 ; hide thin-line border
WinSet, Style, -0x400000 ; hide dialog frame
WinMove, , , 0, 0, 1920, 1080
The gazer? Just knock him down via his magic cannon or tentacle spike and throwblast him
So I should just go do BBI right out the gate after I start new game+? Alright thanks. I'll save hard mode for either a separate playthrough or new game++.
I meant to go do BBI on my first run but
I thought Grigori was the last boss and what followed was a wild ride. I wasn't going to interrupt the flow
What skills are you looking for on a Strider Pawn?
Desperate pawn owner looking to give my pawn a new home
Shes a support mage with Medicant/Ulti, level 23
I really just want to see if the hiring system is working yet. Need Rift Crystals. A man's gotta eat
I fucking love the game when a boss that is near immune to 9/10 of all the enchants in the game and that last enchant is the one you're not having with you, so you have to run around and deal about 0.1% of his health per combo.
The whole being dependent on retarded AI and carrying around a bunch of enchants while playing the guessing game is awful.
r8 or h8
I might change the hair.
Feels pretty good not being Sorc/Mage scum.
This is what I'm using.
someone please hire her
>What skills are you looking for on a Strider Pawn?
Cutting Wind, Implicate, Dazzle Blast (only the latter two because I think they're cute [on a grill, obviously]) otherwise Helm Splitter and whatever, probably Implicate anyway.
Fivefold Flurry/Pentad Shot, Fracture Dart, Downpour Volley/ Mighty Bend
Yes its my main grip too, just carry holy / fire with you, its good against everything, especially holy.
The only time I had to change so far ( for ice ) is when fighting the drake in the forest, but it should be pretty obvious that a drake is immune to fire.
>Left Analog stick is dying
The dungeon delving in this game is so goddamned comfy. Just stumbled upon the catacombs by chance on my way to kill some bandits for No Honor Among Thieves.
>it exits out right in front of Gran Soren
>I would never have noticed it in a million years
For escorts like that, make the journey there while not on the quest, drop a port crystal, go back and get the quest, ferrystone there.
No more worrying about your charge dying from everything.
Im at the quest marker, why is nothing happening?
Alright, thanks for some input, currently made her use stuff like Ensnare and Dazzle Hold for daggers.
Only level 16 anyway, but was wondering what good skills are, never played the class myself
That might be right! I haven't given augments too much thought on poor Rance, could there be any room for improvement?
Should I use the trances or the ripostes for elemental damage?
Anyone wanna hire my pawn?
Also if anyone has a mage/sorc around level 40 thats looking for a hire im looking for one.
Fuck, what's even being said in that picture?
it gets posted EVERY thread, but I can only read kana and my vocab isn't very good.
I haven't done my Anki reps in three days.. learning kanji and vocab is hard..
So I just did the Griffin Hunt mission and only like 3 knights survived for reasons unknown.
Should I try again? I have a save at the runestone outside.
Or does it really even matter the slightest bit? I should still be able to romance Goatfu if I just drown her in wine?
>tfw crafting really good group curatives, but can only craft 1 or 2 at most because always missing rare mats, and can never remember the recipe
Like the group stamina thing is awesome, I use it regularly ( especially when hiring some of those ranger pawns that go out of stamina all the fucking time ).
I still pick up and try to combine everything though.
READ THE FAQ
[FAQ09] Why won't the Ur-Dragon's health move?
Urdy comes in two varieties: Offline and Online. The offline version has around 1.5 million hp while the online version's hp is an innumerably large number greater than that; he cannot be slain in one round. To change between versions, simply set your game to offline or online under options before entering the chamber. He has 30 hearts, all of which must be destroyed for completion. He retreats after 8 minutes, and you must re-enter his chamber to fight him once again, where you can reach from the Chamber of Lament or from the Riftstone on the beach of Cassardis in NG+.
Online Urdy is a combined effort from players around the world. The damage you deal in a single round is uploaded after the round and taken from the server's hp pool. Once his hp is zero, he will enter a “grace period”, where he is substantially weakened for about an hour. Note that he will not be defeated quickly, it can take up to a week for the Online version to finally die; be prepared if you wish to make this grace period. This will allow you to land the finishing blow to get the Abyssal Set and some of the weapons and masks that might catch your eye. For updates on his hp, visit the gamefaqs thread.
shut your fucking mouth niggy
would rate 5/5/5
Getting spitroasted by my Weinstein bros. Arisen and Pawn
WHAT DO, HE INSTAKILLS ME WITH ALL HIS ATTACKS (or almost)
But he's a pawn, he's usually always super lightweight, are you sure?
Features from DDO you wish were in DD:DA
>Dress up gear system - yes, Capcom actually calls it this. This is exactly what it sounds like. Season 1.2 will bring a new equip slot for every piece of gear. The slot we already have is the gear whose stats we want. The gear in the dress up slots is the gear whose looks we want reflected on our character. Never be without your big pimpin', pointy wizard hat again! The quest line to unlock this system will be available after you finish the main story quest "Little Girl in the Forest."
I liked the changes they made to casters to be more active like the casting multipliers and stuff. I also liked the Shield Sages holding their shields out all the time and I wish Mystic Knights did that but fuck Shield Sage is gimp compared to MK with their wimpy ass wands.
I had to do over 15 attempts but eventually I nailed the guy, just enjoy the challenging fight my man.
Just did it as fighter, he's fucking bullshit.
Do the standard climbing shit until he gets mad, then spend the next 2 hours slashing his ankles and only attacking the heart when he spews fire. Seriously, don't fucking climb him unless you can stunlock him.
Watch out for the lunge - 180 - fire breath, that shit killed me at least 3 times
how often do i need to rest at the inn to respawn all the enemies (goblins, bandits, lizards)?
thanks in advance
>Have Dragon's Dogma through family sharing with a friend since i can't buy it at the moment
>Play it for about 10 hours and love it
>Get home from work
>friend is playing some other game and i can't play
Why can't he play less games, I need my fix
Every game should have that system.
IT WOULD BE CHALLENGING IF I COULD SURVIVE MORE THAN ONE HIT.
SO NO, I'M NOT ENJOYING.
YES, I'M MAD AS HELL.
>I liked the changes they made to casters to be more active like the casting multipliers and stuff. I also liked the Shield Sages holding their shields out all the time and I wish Mystic Knights did that but fuck Shield Sage is gimp compared to MK with their wimpy ass wands.
No, you're right, it's pretty bad.
Awareness is pretty good, can always be a little bit more tanky, I'll go with that.
>Get to Gran Soren
>Feel like restarting
>speed through hard mode until i beat the dragon for the hard mode achievement
>change to easy to clear the rest of the content
>i didn't get the hard mode achievement yet
I still can't seem to get my pawn to use launchboard. I've tried changing my vocation to fighter and using it a lot but she still won't do it, even though she's utilitarian and I'm using the 'help' command.
That's basically exactly what I did. I made a Strider with a Mage pawn and I couldn't train him properly so I restarted with a Strider pawn. Remade the Strider but with a Strider pawn and now he's a pretty good Ranger.
If you know where to go for all the quests it takes no time at all to redo it. You'll get to Gran Soren in a couple hours or less.
>why dont you just un-ass 25 bucks on g2a?
I have some bills to sort out these first months so I can't exactly go buying games.
But if i do get the extra money of course i will get it
If you mean the fight with The Dragon just buy blast arrows and conquerors Periapts and go to town on him with five-fold. It ruins the fight but if you're stuck it beats grinding
>pawn gets sent home with a 5 star rating in appearance and silk lingerine as the gift
>Always a pleasure.
Looking for red/yellow pawns in the 40-70 range capable of doing damage in BBI, or at the very least keeping attention of big bads so I can cast dank magicks.
I've got a Sorc at level 51 and I'll be burning through loads of RC soon. Would appreciate any hire.
Is it completely random which pawns appear in your rift and overworld (apart from friended pawns)?
I feel like the best way to get your pawn hired is to give them good looking armor and hope they catch somebody's eye.
There's nothing wrong with the DLC armor. After level 20 or so they become outclassed by armors you find just roaming about. The outfits, on the other hand, are garbage and should be avoided.
There's a more efficient way to do it in path of exile/diablo 2 system to some degree. IE: clothing is just clothing, it just has an armor rating stat. And the real stats come from runes you socket into it.
Just finished BBI for the first time.
What now? Tell me there's more.
>been in endgame for so long I forgot what starting out fresh feels like
>pawn has three-star knowledge of practically all monsters and quests
>"I've learned new ways to fight their ilk."
>"I feel more familiar with this area."
>whatever the quest quote was
It's been so long.
whats a good way to power level in postgame? im at 53 now, want to crank out a few levels in assassin before bbi. i usually use offline ur-dragon but i accidentally opened the seneschal portal (yes i know im retarded) so i dont have access to the everfall
okay, so do you guys prefer anodyne or high anodyne on your pawns?
also holy affinity or fire affinity?
I just want the word that pawns are totally fixed so I can restart.
No you didn't, get back in there
Fire up until the dragon, holy after it. I actually prefer high anodyne since my hp is through the fucking roof and standard anodyne heals too slow.
Anodyne for various reasons but also because I fucking HATE that goddamned particle effect with the HoT, it's so annoying.
I will take the more spammable and less annoying version of the essential spell I need before I die, not the one that never goes off and covers my screen in green bloom
Meh, High Ingle's cast time with Articulacy is practically non-existant. A regular Ingle's only slightly better than a Focused Bolt.
Comestion though, keep that at level 1 - it's practically abusable.
Do vampires exist at all in this game or should I redo my pawn's appearance to be less immersion breaking?
>main story quest "Little Girl in the Forest."
Well, no. Only downside might be if you spent rare resources on the upgrade and later realize you wanted a different piece of equipment instead. Just make sure to have at least one spare of whatever material you need for upgrading since you can restock with black cat forgeries.
Would I be better off giving my pawn identical skills as me?
>it finally happened
4 stars all fields, good enough :3
>Have a friend that whenever he comes across that mechanic, he will flip the controller upside down, put it on the carpet and violently shake the thing back and forth for maximum input
Take both with you, you immense fucking retard. You switch between sword, shield, bow, and daggers wen the situation calls for it. also tweak your skillset to fit certain situations.
Where's the source of people getting trade banned? At this point I don't even want to play in fear of being banned for some other guys fuck up.
>Give my best effort to strengthen and enhance
Gandalf the Strong
>A lot of people adding me to Steam
>The information on my pawn is updated
>Only the anon I'm playing with hired it
I know that feel.
I-I swear goys, my buffed Gandalf is competent q-q
If I start a new game right now, will pawns be working for me?
I dunno what happened between this version and the PS3 version but my mage pawn is crazy good this time.
I just fought a cyclops and the entire fight she stood there spamming lighting bolt keeping it perma stunned instead of running around like an idiot, channeling ice spells, breaking channels to move, healing me 10% damage. This is great. I didn't even give her different inclinations or train her by playing a mage myself, been melee this entire run so far.
>fighting 2 ogres
>get them about halfway down
>suddenly a massive fucking explosion rips them to shreds
>both of them are left with a sliver of health
>finish them off
are there any spells with a FAEB-sized explosion?
I'm renting a sorcerer pawn, I'm guessing that's what happened
jesus that was incredible
On a scale of bad to okay how bad did I do.
does anyone know where I can get the original opening theme again, I was stupid and didn't back it up and now I want it playing on start up again. I'm actually finding that I'm not that big a fan of INTO FREEEE
>dungeon meshi marsilla
>in every fanart and r34 she's a gross tittymonster
The source: these threads. But what's happening is that people are getting three days of gifts in one go, and the game suspects them of item fuckery. It should fix itself in a day or so, it's nothing permanent and it's unavoidable if your pawn got popular the past few days.
>can be used to burn a griffon's wings while you climb it
>can be used to burn harpies that pick you up
>can be used to burn man-eaters
>can be used to hit golem weak points very very quickly
>is probably the most hilarious spell in the game
I feel like one of the burning psychos from Borderlands. This skill is awesome.
Are these skills hire-material for a strider?
Is there anything I should ABSOLUTELY make sure I do before starting NG+?
AFK farm vocations.
If you go afk in gran soren's noble quarter, and jump on the wall next to the cathedral, your pawns will fight the guards.
They're around 100xp a pop, so you get the full 37.5% vocation exp per kill.
If you have any vocations you want maxed, this is THE easiest way to do it. Switch to that vocation, bring two sorc pawns + your pawn as a sorc, and afk on the wall and let your pawns kill all the guards with magic, since their physical def is high.
he gave me 5 stars in everything too
what a cool dude
For Sorcs, when you cast anything you have a glyph show up with little dots that you have to move your cursor to fast. The more glyphs you complete, the bigger multiple you get to the spells damage and also if you finish all the glyphs before the cast time is up, you can cast the spell right away but that generally isn't possible besides for long ass spells like Bolide.
All vocations are more specialized too like Mage is now Priest and are almost entirely support based with buffs that you can give to party members and creating auras and such rather than Mages just being gimpier Sorcs with a couple of support spells.
Puppy Time on pawn chart has his pawn banned, you can't hire his pawn because it says "Pawn data corrupted". It's probably some kind of ban, honestly he probably did cheat because he hyper lvled on the first day way too much in a few hours.
He isn't the only one though, but he could be simply playing on Hard which gives a lot more exp. But it's a fact you can't hire his pawn
I don't even know what is this, but it's too late as I changed my Arisen to female too.
Anyway guys, what's up with all those lewd loli popping up everywhere? Are the Skyrim pedos on this game already?
heathens with the penis-love should go and stay go.
>weapon has far better stats than my current one
>looks like pure shit on my character
sometimes we have to make sacrifices
>just found out about those quests to gain Rift Clusters
>had 150 RC before the quests, now i have 12k
Nice, i can finally buy those fucking potions to fix my pawn.
It's a cross between /tv/, /a/, /tg/, /sci/, /k/ and on occasions, /an/
I didn't like Tusk. Hilda deserved better.
I like it cause it's a really slow board, and I think the average age of the posters is a little bit higher.
At least I'm the original.
>image cap is almost 3 years old now
Feels like an eternity really.
Of course the gear is awful, level 1 Hard Mode means out leveling everyone else before hitting points where you can get the good gear.
Haven't even met the Duke yet.
REMINDER - only buy one of each inclination.
You can dupe them at the black cat for 400g a pop, rest, go back to the black cat and get your dupe.
save on riftshekels
>people are getting trade banned
>JUSE US CHEAT ENGINE LMAO SENPAI
My pawn uses Deathly Arrow all the time, and Great Gamble far too often.
>tfw accidentally send friend request when trying to view Pawn's details
>tfw no Pawnstar steam group
Yeah actually. I need a fighter pawn.
that fixed it, thanks anon.
here, have a wallpaper.
i wanted her to have a very brutish/masculine face but still have some traces of femininity
did i pull it off?
Tested if my pawn hiring was fixed with a steam friend. It did not work.
Can someone else test my pawn?
My ID: http://steamcommunity.com/id/dontdropthesnope/
>pic is pawn
I'm debating restarting with something more hireable.
>went home on my lunch break to see if my pawn had been rented.
>nobody rents your meme pawn
thought I would drown in rift shekels but I guess decent Mage riftslut would've been the safer bet.
So correct me if I'm wrong:
Literally every mod, from texture swaps to gameplay tweaks, on the Nexus for DD so far appear to affect the same game_main.arc file.
So every modder has to release subversions of their mod with every possible permutation of other popular mods?
>people think the pawn system is still broken and not that their pawn is just shit
Can you get banned by editing appearance through CE Art of Metamorphosis? I changed from a female to a male, might have to switch back because no hires
>have given mercedes at least 50 cloudwine by now
>she's still only affinity level two
How the fuck else do I raise it? I've already done her escort quest and I can't give her the arisen's bond because I'm locked out of that questline forever due to this game's bullshit of not telling you that quests will get cancelled.
How bad would Scather/Utilitarian/Pioneer be on a pawn with an emphasis on melee combat and tankiness?
Are there better combinations? If so, which ones?
I'm a failed Arisen, nobody wants my Pawn.
>tfw entering post game
I don't like this.
I want the comfy back ;_;
I play video games to escape successful people like you
Are dragon tears 100% drops now?
I got at least one from each type of them, first kill.
Reposting from yesterday because I'm an attention whore
Here's the copy pasta I found floating around on Friday:
HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR PIRATED SAVE FOR RETARDS:
Download the save file tool (http://www.tzarsectus.com/tools/DDsavetool.rar)
Extract that into a new folder
Copy your pirated save into this new folder. Pirated save location is appdata/roaming/steam/codex/367500/remote/ddda.sav
Open up cmd, Drag the save tool exe into the cmd window, then hit space, type "-u" (No "s), hit space again, and drag the ddda.sav into the window, and hit enter
The tool should then extract the .sav into a text file
Open the new text file up in a text editor (I used notepad+), and ctrl + f steam, and replace the number in there with your steam64 id (Find your steam 64 id on this website https://steamid.co/)
Save that shit.
Then, With the CMD window again, drag the save tool, hit space, type "-r", hit space again, and drag the text file into the window, then hit enter.
It should repack the text file into ddda.sav
Finally, copy that shit to the retail save folder, which is located in steam/userdata/[numbers]/367500/remote
