>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

>mfw that fucking damage for such a low cast time
holy shit I blasted his ass into next week
why did nobody tell me about this spell
Yea, fuck that nigga.
Grigs is cool people though.
Leg-strength or Sinew. You don't really need both. Dexterity is optional. Pick up the Fighter and Warrior Augments for increased damage.
And finally, grab Opportunism from the Bitterblack Augments. That thing is a best with Assassin.
Five fold fodder. Climb and dismantle everything else.
Can someone PLEASE explain exactly how to install the reshade mod? The guy provides no instructions whatsoever on the nexus page. Do I just dump it in the same folder as the exe? Do I need any other files? Do I need ENB to use it? Very confused. I dropped off the files in main folder and it's not working. Home and End toggle keys do nothing at all.
Hey, anyone knows anyway to change how the stat growth work, I want to make a magic archer but dont feel like playing from 10 to 200 as a sorcerer, is there anyway way I can switch ma stat growth?
Yeah, before you go to fight at The Greatwall, the bitch that starts the "meet the duchess at nightfall" will have another sidequest where you go rescue her from the Duke's Manor or some shit.
Just woke up.
Any word on the pawn issue from capcom yet?
Get the fuck out of here elf scum.
Nice, just got my pawn's 2nd ring. She should be pretty tanky now.
How'd I do?
Arisen on the left
Fighter Ogress main pawn on the right.
>needing to roll
>not just countering everything with clairvoyance

>FINALLY beat the drake in devilfire
>fuck up a bunch of hobgoblins to de-encounter
>try to save
>game crashes right before I can
>holy fuck I hope it got it
>spawn on the wrong side of the quarry
I have no fucking words for how furious I am right now
If they were ever to make a sequel, where would you want them to go in terms of story? I get the feeling that they have the Dark Souls curse, where the only interesting part is what happened in the past with the characters we see.
Also, I hear that a woman is head of the DD Online team. Was she also head of the DD/DD:DA team? I don't remember mention of a female project lead.
Get the nexus mod that gives you unlimited sprint. It's pretty balance because while sprinting you recover absolutely no stamina, so it's not a huge advantage in battle or anything, and it lets you travel with sprinting. I personally use the mod that combines unlimited spring with removing the arisen chest scar.
>ground a harpy and get it to 1/3 health with arrows
>thing starts weakly hopping around trying to fly with broken wings
I felt a little bad letting that final arrow fly
Please respond. Am I installing this wrong?
so.. there's no other way to get the golden idol is there?
fuck this bitch
i even let her win the race, but at the very beginning i let her get too far ahead of me and she got upset.
IS THERE NO OTHER WAY
>play through the game as a thick orc waifu
>decide to try a loli in new game plus
Can i get the "escort fat fucks daughter" quest after I meet the duke the first time?
I really just don't want to miss out on any quests.
I only have kill 1 more ogre in the mine, the female bandit quest, and the escort daughter.
any of those go away?
So I don't want to "level 25 fighter, level 25 warrior, level 12 sorcerer, level 8 mage, level 20 mystic knight, level 8 assburgers" to optimize and would like to just take a class from level 10 to 200.
What classes actually have the combination of augments and stats to do this well?
Also, which makes the better archer? Ranger or Assassin? While stats may not be intensely significant, it seems like the 900+ strength the assassin gets from leveling to 200 actually is enough to make a notable difference.
>finding a bunch of Jewel of Health
HAHA FUCK YOU MAGES I DON'T NEED YOUR SHIT ANYMORE
I bought this game 4 times and did over 7 playthroughs with it. You can go fuck yourself if you think I'm going to deal with the fact that Capcom was too stupid to differentiate between in-combat and out-of-combat sprinting now that I can do something about it.
suck my dick and get over yourself
>warrior with six skills
don't think i'd ever play anything else.
if warrior had a ranged weapon i wouldn't. could have given him a huge crossbow that is slow to fire/reload but does huge damage or something
the one dante pawn i've hired was cuhrazy but in a kind of chucklefuck way, he constantly lept off shit
Is your arisen male? I can equip it on my female no problems, haven't tried on male.
Does anyone have the image of the 2 stick figures fucking with the down-dpad button being pressed drawn on the picture?
Health tho senpai. Play some levels as fighter.
So, why don't you have cute nord battle pawns?
any class can beat the game 1-200 no sweat. any yellow vocation will end up with balanced stats, too
but i promise you when you actually get to playing you're gonna realize that the game is not designed to "be" a class for 200 levels. you will cap your class out at like level 40
Trying to figure out which augments out of the starting classes are the must-haves
I want to start with a class that I have to level for their augments before switching to a more interesting class.
anon it's pretty hard to fuck her quest up, it's just annoying
though it is purposefully annoying, itsuno knew exactly what he was doing when they made it
that would go against the motiff of the class.
like imagine a crossbow so big that the warrior'd have to stop moving, plant it in the ground, then fire it like a fucking ballista.
you could have a skill that fired it with a chain attached so you could pull flying faggots straight out the fucking sky.
hire me capcrap
Guys what should my video settings be on to optimize gameplay? My shit keeps lagging. Happens like twice a minute.
any nordic female pawns are a instant hire for me, assuming they're not nexus or aquisitor or some shit
depends on your specs?
how shite is your rig m8? 750tis can get a stable 60 at high 1080p
>fighting gorecyclops in soulflayer canyon for the quest
>harpies fucking everywhere, mage pawn wildly throwing around fire
>gorecyclops stomps on the mage, she goes down instantly
>strider skullsplitters off the bridge to hit a harpy and dies
>gorecylops gets tripped up by my warrior pawn's arc of deliverance and falls off too
>everything is either dead or on fire except for me and my pawn
>mfw this all happened in like 5 seconds
not ugly character shadows
Play in fullscreen. Make sure the proper refresh rate for your display is set. Try both vsync on (with 60 FPS) and vsync off (with variable FPS). Turn off HDR. Turn down draw distance. Turn FXAA to the lowest setting (but not off), then textures and lighting if those are options.
Don't use ENB obviously.
>one-shotting the Drake with Arc of Deliverance
Holy shit I need a cigarette after that one
No matter how many times I see this scene, it still sends shivers down my spine.
It's just that good.
>Ferrystone back to gran soren
>TIS A PORTCRYSTAL MASTER
>YOU CAN USE A FERRYSTONE TO REACH IT
>TIS A PORTCRYSTAL MASTER
I KNOW WHAT IT IS YOU FUCKS
>kill a Cursed Dragon
The only way to search for pawns/use ddg pawns is to add people to your friends list? I'd rather not add a bunch of random people just to hire their pawn for an hour or two and then delete them.
holy shit what sociopath designed the chamber of fate
if you aren't a mage/sorcerer or can't use a bow the battle is tedious as fuck. no matter how smart the pawn is they NEVER focus on the lich first and that cunt just keeps summoning hellhounds to fuck your shit up.
Are all the weapons and armor at the blackcat forgeries? They seem like the stats are awfully low.
>searching for gear for my pawn
>He can wear all the womens clothes
>now has breasts
I'm using a laptop. Quad core processor running Windows 7. Does that make sense?
Thanks m8. Fuck I don't even know what the refresh rate for my shit is. What is ENB? And what about ANISO? Fuck, I'm retarded.
Is leveling up vocations universal across all of them? Or is a specific amount of DP you need for each vocation?
>Did they patch out using carrots to get infinite money?
yes. if you want infinite money just goddamn cheat with cheat engine or something. It's literally type in gold, change gold in game, type in new gold, etc until you get a few numbers, and then you just change the number.
He really is the best. Can't fuckin' wait for the final confrontation, man.
You like farming Cursed Dragons for Dragonforging your shit, right? Clear BBI once and farm Duskmoon Tower 2.0. Cursed Dragons are the only carrion feeder that spawn there and if you're powerful enough you can have more than one spawn from one set of bait. Cursed Dragons have a super high Dforge chance.
Full STR daggers (unless you don't have anything better than heaven's key)
Immolation or Instant Reset
If you don't know, then it's 60Hz. ENB is a mod. If you don't know what it is you aren't using it. Anisotropic filtering? That usually has a minor performance hit and games look horrible without it so keep it on. Probably the very last thing you want to turn down if everything else is already low.
If all else fails, cap your framerate at 30 so it doesn't stutter and you get a smooth 30 (hopefully)
How much am I ruining my playthrough by cheesing Bitterblack with throwblasts and tossing enemies off of cliffs at level 20?
I just got past the Gazer.
I like this game but I have to say, It has probably the most bullshit reason why you can't swim ever.
>big scary red fog will eat ya!
not even banjo kazooie shark for keeping you from going too far out, nah, just fog as soon as the water gets to your chest. saves on the animation.
what the fuck. How are there even fishing towns? If in real life red fog out of the water would kill you I would live on a god damn mountaintop.
Alright, thanks lovebug. I'll report back with the good word.
One last question, what about screen resolution? Does that matter?
any sort of ranged really. the light jump attack is great for hitting harpies but anything else and it's just you flailing about until your pawns decide it's time to be moderately useful
ANISO is also called AF, it has nearly no impact on performance and it is great.
draw distance/anti aliasing are probably the biggest hogs. try turning down DoF too
but "quad core windows 7 laptop" means literally nothing. it's like describing a car as "has four wheels and a steering wheel"
download speccy, run it and post results
no anon i'm sure the shady as fug thief store that specializes in forgeries totally has legit ancient armors and shit
the stats are low but the aesthetics are gr8 and thats all that matters
Black cat items are actually pretty mediocre. They just have weird unique stats. Things start to really crank up after you reach like level 40~50. Once you beat the game and enter the post-game you're pretty strong. Once you finish the post-game and enter NG+ in order to do Bitterblack Isle DLC, you're really strong. Once you go through BBI once and gain a shitton of levels and good equipment upgrades, you're fucking unstoppable. Once you've beaten BBI a few times and fully upgraded your shit, you can 1-shot gigantic gorecyclopes with tenfold flurry, periapts, and blast arrows. BBI really turns the crazy dial up to 11.
>doesn't give a fuck about anything other than testing your ass.
This still works, neat. Walk towards the boat near the pier at BBI, jump at it, and attack just before you grab the ledge. You'll be able to explore and walk around on the floor.
How do I make a good Mystic Knight build? I need a lot of stamina, right? Also, any good sexy armors for that class?
So Strider 1-100, Mystic Knight 101-200 gets you
Magick Defense 368
This should let you play pretty much any
vocation in the game without issue, right?
god fucking dammit I just can't get him to stick around and fight me
you know what, you son of a bitch, fine. have it your way. I'll come back later like intended. but when I do, I'll level 200 and kill you so hard it won't even be fun. your fuckin dead kiddo.
as a side note: this one ranger pawn I hired was doing fine until this dragon showed up, but against him her AI shits itself and tries to climb him, even if I take her daggers away, does no damage at all, and drops off his head in flight
it's hilarious but not at all helpful
So, uh ... a have a few crimes to confess.
I didn't want to do this quest of Aelinore, but a guy was supposed to wait me in the garden and I trigged it by accidently and the asshole was nowhere seen. Okay, went to her room and the suddenly
Duke naps out of itand a boner did arisen seeing this scene, middle way of fapping she diedand then a guaird out of fuckng nowhere did come and sent me to jail.
Did I fuck up?
Turn FXAA off entirely, it doesn't do shit for aliasing even maxed out.
>at least not v5.
Woops. It's in v4 or whatever, just get the .dll from there. My bad.
I was thinking people were all going to use ENB and would need the patch.
Yes. It matters a lot. I assume you're at 1366x768 right? If your laptop happens to be a 1080p laptop (1920x1080) and that's your ingame res, try turning it down to 1366x768 for a decent boost. If you're ALREADY at 1366x768, lowering it won't help as much, but if you exhaust all other resources (textures, anisotropic, FXAA, etc) then lowering your res below 1366 is probably the last thing you can do. Even though there isn't a huge performance increase by lowering beyond 1366, it's still an existing increase.
Is it worth giving a ranger pawn Great Gamble? or will they just charge it half way and botch it like they do with Arc of Deliverance
>Apparently you get some knowledge of enemies though
false. Those are just related subspecies of enemies you've fought but haven't yet encountered.
Just place bait and spawn in and out.
IM UNEQUIPPING GICEL
JUST TRY AND FUCKING STOP ME
seriously though i got looking at the resistances and the only thing i can think of gicel actually being useful for is CGCs, GCs and Strigoi
I would assume scather/mitigator or scather/challenger.
Mitigator will make him go for weaklings first giving the illusion of fucking shit up because he's much stronger. Challenger will make him go for big niggas.
that is like "beating DaS2 while playing a dark magic user" levels of ruining it for yourself
depends on what you want. boring as fuck great cannon spam? slightly less boring reposting?
I would suggest a melee MK. Use your shield for ele enchants (MK can get every enchant in the game) and put burst strike/sky dance/compass slash on your mace/sword.
also carry around a staff for when you really need ranged.
Here, made a webm since I'm at this point.
OH MY FUCKING GOD. EVERYTHING'S RUNNING ON MINIMUM AND IT'S STILL LAGGY AS A FUCK. I PLAYED THE GAME FOR 10 HOURS WITH NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER, THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT STARTS SHITTING THE BED.
Screen resolution is my last hope.
It's one of these things that so clearly says: "we didn't want to make a swimming animation or create any water based content so we had to come up with a gameplay mechanic for this"
One of the few things that takes me right out.
Like in the Tomb raider reboot you know how you have a rope arrow? But you can't just shoot any wooden surface and instead you have predetermined objects you can shoot it at, which are marked by having thick rope around it? Makes NO SENSE in the gameplay world for all these objects to be wrapped in rope and it's cleary just to tell retarded 6 year olds what to do.
Shitty game design.
I heard that some of the "From A Different Sky" quests can't be completed later in the story on the wikipedia page. Does anyone have anymore information on this? I'd like to complete them before they're no longer available.
At that point you have overpowered BBI equipment fully upgraded so you can play any class, yes. Though you really shouldn't count 100~200 levels for stats because those levels go fairly slow and have slow progression.
But like I said, by the time you reach such levels you will have the EQUIPMENT to play any class just fine. In my opinion some of those strider levels should be fighter levels. Like 20~30 of them. For the HP boost.
So, assuming Capcom fixes pawn rewards how do you think it will happen;
A - Rewards are clogged up in the pipeline somewhere and you'll get it all at once
b - Its fucked son and you get nothing, prease understand
>Fournival straight up disappears on me
>need his Pilgrim's Charm to send Valmiro on his merry way
It seems like it depends on how far you are in the sidequests. I just completed it before even accepting the duke quest.
you need a bluetooth adapter, then you need to set up something like dsinput to emulate a 360 controller. And then you'll either have to deal with every button prompt for every game being for the 360 or deal with finding and installing DS4 button prompts for every game because sony is shit and has proprietary fucking button prompts.
just go get a $20 wired 360 controller, plug and play, works for everything, no worry about batteris, etc
you got a legit copy? could have a buttcoin miner in there somewhere.
are you trying to use a reshad/sweetfx/enb? did you fuck around in your game's config?
can you play other games fine? could just be your rig shitting itself.
I'll come back after I get my heart, then. Where else can I get swagged out early? Fashion souls is way more important than stats.
So I'm a sorc, level 16 and I just figured out that you're not supposed to have your loli bra-cloth and generic brown pantsu shown in that giant robe gap. You can equip multiple items on the chest and legs slot apparently. fuck me
The game threw me off by not allowing a head and a monocle so I figured it's one item per slot. Guess I figured wrong.
M-Multiple Cursed Dragons sounds scary though
The wiki says that the jumping attack augment has no effect on the magic archers sunflare
I dont suppose they fixed this in the port to at the very least work on the physical component of it?
oh, are those the only ones that vanish? I've done all of those.
and It's based on fournival liking you but he doesn't yet and I'm tired of random leveling and want to do main story.
Regardless of how often people want to believe otherwise, Warrior gets trashed. He's just lacking enormous utility. 3 skills, can't do jack shit if climbing monsters (and there are a LOT of climbable monsters), no ranged attacks, slow ass nigga, not nearly POWERFUL enough to justify his speed at this point. Every other class is viable, though having curatives with you and bringing only sorcerers and no mages that heal/cleanse is better so mages are generally forgotten too, though not totally useless.
The most top tier classes are Ranger, Sorceror, and Magick Archer. Mystic Knight aiite too. Assassins and Striders can absolutely wreck shit as well but need more setup time to climb. So can Ranger mind you, but Ranger can just tenfold with blast arrows for exponentially more damage potential.
There's no other functions going on on my computer other than this game. I even uninstalled all my other games and defraged. AND I just turned my resolution down to 800x600 and framerate to 30. Still as laggy as it was running with default settings. It was running fucking fine, why is it all of a sudden shitting itself.
Dude I only fucking play when I'm at work for 5-6 hours at most. It's been off all day (I work at a hotel overnight behind the desk and I just let my laptop chill there so I don't have to lug it around).
Copy is legitimate. Got it from Steam. Didn't do shit to it mod wise if that's what you mean. Only thing I did to the game was when it started to lag I turned the settings to minimum then did the extra steps anons have enlightened me to, but it's still not working.
I laughed harder than I should have at this
>what class should I play before being a mystic knight to min max?
strider 1-10 then either ranger 10-200 or a mix of assassin and sorcerer.
just play what you fucking what, it does not matter in the slightest. you could play 6 full playthroughs and not hit level 200.
only thing I would suggest is grabbing some good augments like sinew. if you really want to be somewhat optimal level warrior to 9 and sorcerer to 9 and get clout/proficiency and the level 9 sorcerer +20% magick damage augment (can't remember it's name)
the black cat in gran soren has alot of good looking but expensive gear
other than that you'll just have to look up items you want and find where they are, alot of stuff in the game is scattered about and can only be found in X chest in X area at a X% chance
Since the pawn system is still fucked right now, I'm letting you know via screenshot of her in my game that I'm renting her.
I've been renting her for almost my whole playthrough. She's amazing.
Does the Magick stat affect the 5 types of damage? By that I mean Fire, Ice, Lightning, Holy and Dark. There is no "magic" damage, right?
Also what affects the "light" and "heavy" attack's damage? Is it the STR stat or does it depend on class, with every class depending on the STR stat except for Sorcerer, Mage and MA?
>spamming shearing wind with fire enchantment on goblins or undead
Man this feels great.
>It's just dark humor
>trying to do all quests
>get close to the end
>rescue the princess
>start doing Reynauld's quest
>get all journal entries except one in Gran Soren
>Trying to find a way on rooftops
>fall into some ditch
>don't want to walk back out and climb up the ladder
>reload checkpoint to get back to inn
But I didn't rest at the inn I guess. Sent my all the way back to just before I rescued the princess RRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'm playing for the first time and I really don't know how shields work.
I gave the wiki a read and it doesn't explain it.
Is there no stat for how much damage a shield can block and/or its threshold for being staggered? And if not, why use anything other than the feather-light pelta? Other than their offensive capabilities I mean.
Today I bought the game again for the third time. And I went for warrior because I wanted to test a new vocation and....holy shit /ddg/ this is it. THIS IS IT.
>running around testing lag
>accidentally swipe at some citizen
>get thrown in jail
>autosaves me in there
WHY IS THIS ALLOWED
Not sure if anyone did use my pawn from the pawn chart, but firstly she was a normal elf, changed her to dark elf. But then, there are so many brown skin characters made by other anons, I switched her back to normal elf with different equipment to feel like I am special snowflake.
Found this guy wandering on the street
Best believe I hired him
I legit cannot believe it took me 3 years to play this game. in my defense i tried to play the ps3 version and got a headache after an hour
definitely going in my top 10 favs ever.
then get gud augments.
i have clout/proficiency/eminence/sinew/bastion and i am having a blast being a fucking powerhouse as any non-magick class
> /local disk/program files (x86)/steam/##s/367XXX/Remote/
>Copy all files
>Create folder on desktop/in documents/wherever you want
>Deposit files in folder
Congrats, you can set up some waypoints in case the game decides to fuck you over with an incompletable quest or a quest that demands you know exactly what to do the first time through it.
Keep getting this character creation bug, where I can't see my character at all on the left, just vanishes soon as I start.
How do I fix this? I restarted the game, like twice, and both times I had to do the annoying ass tutorial shit again.
After playing so much DDO I can't stand DDDA anymore, it just isn't anywhere near as polished as DDO.
That being said who has some cute brown traps to show off
It's good, but it's absolutely full of shitposters blaming anything and everything on PC. Literally anything. Could be someone wears the included free armors at the start of the game (I assume a preorder thing?) on their pawns
>OMG PC SHITTERS ARE THE WORST CHEATING FAGGOTS
People use mods for anything
>FUCKING PC CAN'T EVEN PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT CHEATS WOW THANKS FOR RUINING THE GAME
Someone screenshots one bad review from the steam page when it has like a 95% positive rating
>PC RUINING YET ANOTHER GAME LIKE DARK SOULS
The jealousy is pretty fucking ridiculous. People are mad that other people are getting to play the game with a smooth 60+ FPS and mod capabilities. Funny thing is probably 85% of people in this thread already played the game on a console yet the shitposters are still shitposting about how everyone here is a "mustard"
Pretty tiring day dealing with these people famm
I keep seeing people still using Rook after they reach Gran Soren.
Do they not understand how pawns work?
OK what the fuck, where does Fournival go when you accept Griffin's Bane but not Trials and Tribulations? Motherfucker has actually disappeared
there are some pawns in the rift at level 60 that still have their first abilities, non-upgraded
Do Fighter/Warrior Pawns have no chance of getting hired?
my dudebro friends refuse to try dark souls or this because "dude there are swords and shit bigger than your dudes body that's super gay"
seriously that's their only complaint about these games and they won't play them because of it. it's fucking bizarre, they all love lotr and GoT so they're not strangers to a fantasy setting. they think magic is lame too
stop going on /v/, it's just shitposting and nothing else. PC is the new target since the majority of /v/ is pc and actual consolefags have nothing to take about besides blood souls and halo i guess
>Skim through guidebook to find interesting stuff
Holy shit, this thing is badass.
I don't know why I never played it on my PS3, I guess I figured it was just another modern RPG, then I had a friend come to me right before it was announced on PC and told me about it. It's pretty great.
There are so many people on the forums complaining the game is too hard, I'm guessing those are their pawns
As I run double Ranger, I normally hire a mage and a Fighter ( which is rare as everyone changes to Warrior ) whenever possible. Pawns as Fighter are less retarded than Warriors and are more useful by what I noticed. Be it taunting enemies or fighting.
there are alot of obtuse as shit quests in DD.
you gotta wait around gran soren's middle fountain area right next to the inn and the shops during the day with the quest as your active quest and a man in yellow will run by, his name is maurin or something like that. he'll tell you what you need to do.
Can someone explain why you'd minmax in this game?
I mean by the time you get to lvl 200 wouldn't you be done with everything in the game?
>tfw the game is blurry as fuck by default
Ah, yes. The good ol' console trick to hide low-res textures and sup-bar view distance. Thank God for ENB presets. Speaking of which, is the Anon who made this ( http://imgur.com/a/8WJjE ) keep posting here?
We gotta make a big ass FAQ so people stop asking the same questions literally every thread.
Fighter/Warrior pawns are hired, just like every other vocation. They might not be as popular but you'll definitely get hires. I tend to have a Fighter in my party every time I rotate pawns.
Maybe tomorrow. I'm trying to add
film grainright now.
>we will never be in the universe where magic is real and cast spells and shit at these people
I'm not a pedophile. I like small women aged 18 or over.
Did you try turning your PC on and off? No seriously. Well at least restart steam, but restarting whole PC is just good measure to eliminate any other odd and rare variables.
So, i think I see the pawn learning as you go thing in effect.
I had a habit for the first levels of spamming biting wind, but I don't do it anymore because it's just a gap-closer for me.
My main pawn is also a strider, and now this is how he fights. He's literally "nothing personnel" personified. He'll dash 3-4 times before starting over again.
>Go meet the noble clerk guy in the palace gardens at night
>Before get there, check the treasury and oh wow the guard is gone!
>Rush in, start taking shit
>pile of piles of gold in the end of the room, swiftly go there
>Arrested by guard who was inside hiding behind the wooden screen
What the fuck were you even doing there man fuck you dindu nuffin
reposting since i didnt notice old thread hit the limit:
i want to train my strider pawn to spam skull splitter and downpour volley more, while reducing the amount of single shots he takes from his bow.
i know the best way to train them is to lead by example, but where are some good places to do 'training runs'? about how long should i spend training a pawn before they will start picking things up?
grand surcoat/surcoat with chainmail underneath, a barreled helm, and probably gryphic arms/legs
anyone know of steel colored arm/leg armor that isn't all fancy and somewhat bullshit like the gryphic stuff?
Yes it's true. People claim warrior is still legit at this point because of he can cancel or something like that, but let's be honest, this isn't a PvP game. It's PvE. No sort of refined technique like that is going to matter when fighting gorecyclopes and dragons.
Try out warrior for yourself. You should level him to rank 9 for the excellent augment, and very decent HP and STR stat gains. He's OK but you can clearly see how he will become outclassed as the game progresses into BBI
>fighting a drake, jumping to avoid the windblast stagger thing that they do
>some time later, notice my pawn doing the same thing, timing his jumps perfectly
It's amazing what they can learn
Yes I have done that. I think it's what the other anon said, because I have noticed that there seems to be a limit to how many pawns can be at the rift at once. Everytime I summon one, another pawn disappears.
I wish there were some sort of actual jeans in this game. Not sure how to improve.
>went through BBI and main game multiple times exclusively with warrior
>try other classes
>feels too easy because I don't even need to try, most skills are auto targeting
I don't get it
Pretty much these, although the red leather armor looks better on the old guy.
Harpy cloak best cloak
minmax mostly for health. By the time you reach hard BBI 3rd run dragons be 2 shotting you easily unless you got some serious health and defense. Also it's not so much minmax as it is avoiding stupidity like raising 40 mage/sorc levels when you want to be a ranger.
You almost never see anyone truly minmax like going assassin for 60 levels or some shit.
Not sure, it seems to vary based on what they're learning
If it's a vocation-specific thing, like a skill or something, you need to be the same vocation for them to learn. For anything else, though, I'm pretty sure they'll learn regardless of vocation.
It's not the same as going up as a warrior, smacking them in the face as soon as they notice you and hammering them into the ground. The only real problems I ever have are with liches and sirens.
And the Seneschal saw all that he created, and he said it was very good.
>played DD, and DDDA for weeks on PS3
>Every time I rested at the inn my pawn would come back with 15+ reports from other players
>playing now on PC, having fun
>pawn hasn't been taken once by a single player
>No mission reports
>other people's pawns rarely have any quest knowledge or anything useful
Is the PC community really this shit? Or is there something broken in the net code? I cannot believe my pawn hasn't once been taken once after how often it happened on PS3
I wish I knew what all that shit meant.
Right now I'm doing my own dumb things, doing a disk cleanup then I'm gonna defrag again I guess.
doesn't change the fact that it is inferior to DD:DA in every single way.
it quite literally removes the best things about dragons dogma and turns it into your typical MMORPG with parties.
>never did Valmiro's second quest because fuck that guy
>end up having a beer and a nice chat on the beach
>he gives a Black Freakish Scale, Malecryst and Hydra Gallstone
Are you fucking kidding me
Valmiro best bro 4 lyfe, best of luck on your travels my nigga
Is it worth it to have my pawn level warrior for the augments or should I just let it stay fighter for now?
>Fashion dogma is suffering.
I am never taking off this kilt
>But since i've pirated the game
tfw because of people like you DD2 will never be real.
Alright this chair is not working at all. Is there a way to collect rift crystals without leveling my pawn so I can get some goddamn elixers?
1) Check online to see if your CPU has an integrated graphics card - if it does, disable it. Use google to know how to do it.
2) To check if your CPU is underclocking, first check online to see your CPU's stock speed (expressed in GHz). Download something like CPUID HWMonitor, run it, play the game until you notice the fps drops and then check if your minimum CPU speed (expressed in MHz in HWMonitor) goes under its stock value. Just in case you're seriously computer illiterate, 1000MHz = 1GHz.
3) Google on how to check for core parking. Basically you open the Resource Monitor, go to the CPU tab and on the graphs on the right check if it says "CPU 0" or "CPU 0 - Parked"/"CPU 1 - Parked", etc.
For unparking, again, use google, I've never done it.
>No one, been playing online mode the whole time too. Maybe it's the fact she's an archer, do people just hire mage pawns?
Does it actually say nobody, or does it say it can't get the info?
What I'm trying to say is; shit's fucked, wait for capcunts to fix it.
>retaking shadow fortress
>get up to ballista to take out other two to prevent the fight from being a complete clusterfuck
>hop on, shoot, hop off to prevent it from being destroyed
>get one of them
>the moment I hop off one of my shit-eating pawns gets on and aggros the fucking cyclopses
>by the time I get the faggot off the ballista has been destroyed and both cyclopses are hanging out in the little courtyard
holy FUCK the pawn AI is so infuriating
Seriously, we need a giant FAQ of the basic shit (the one we have now is pretty gibberish to new players and/or retards) and a broken pawn notice in the OP until it blows over.
I'd make one myself but I don't actually know the game that well since this is my first playthrough.
how do you take screenshots with the leaked version?
Not because of him, because of fucking capcom. How i wish this belonged to someone else. Instead of funding DD2 since the beginning, they make a shitty MMO and exclusive to japan.
DD has such an enormous potential, yet CRAPCOM with their shitty decisions ruins everything.
>Use ballista to blow up other two annoying ballistas
>INTO THE FRAY with my pawns, blasting shit with magic
>Surrounded at all times, tough as balls fight
>Finally clear everything up, go get the reinforcements
>Realize I could've used those fucking ballistas
It's pretty tedious but get 250 (preferably 500) RC from just killing shit then go get one primary and one secondary elixir if you can afford, or just primary if you really just want that now.
Then go to black cat and have him forge it. Go to inn wait a day. Repeat 5 times if you want just primary. Forget 11 primary and 7 secondary if you want a secondary trait.
With primary elixir being A and secondary being B use them in this order:
To be honest though you can probably stop at
I know it's tedious as FUCK but it's the only way if you don't want to farm riftbux. Throw your pawn into the brine if you don;t want them to level while you farm riftbux.
Was Anon's ReShade preset designed for Injector ENB? Does he upload his latest works to https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/game/1209/ as well?
Am I /fa/?
>Does this mean she's been hired a bunch
No. you gain knowledge of all related types of enemies even if you haven't met them yet. So if you kill a saurian you get knowledge of sulpher saurians, sauarin sages, etc. but since you haven't met them they are unfamiliar foes.
but I wanted to kill him now when it's still hard
do you want me to go back to an inn between every attempt? it'd amount to the same, except it'd take forever. but no, I cashed out on the last try earlier, at least he dropped some stuff before buggering off.
I haven't uploaded to that site yet, it's not really built for Reshade. Next game I play I guess I can now that I have a name to use :^)
Any advice on party composition? I'm mostly ranger/assassin, main pawn is currently maxing out sorcerer. A mage is an obvious choice for healing, but what of the 4th? I've been taking fighters as a tanky character, but I can't help but feel they aren't doing much good.
>mfw I skipped lost and found by accident
God that's some bullshit. Why doesn't the game tell you that quests will be cancelled if you proceed? The kint just before you meet the Duke tells you that your quests will be cancelled if you proceed.
How am I supposed to romance the loli witch now? All the other main romance options I've seen so far are shit except for maybe Mercedes.
>tfw being able to take 1080p versions of screenshots I took on PS3
I'd love to help you further anon, but it's 6am and I'm about to go to bed. I wish you luck.
I should be around in 10~12 hours or so if you still require assistance.
Good luck, Arisen.
You can also miss a bunch of shitty side quests in the beginning.
There are legitimately quests that you can take before you get your pawn that fail as soon as you get it.
Then there are some quests before you fight the hydra that fail as soon as you fight it.
It's pretty dumb.
I take then you made this gallery as well : http://imgur.com/a/8WJjE- can you tell me which version is this, precisely? I mostly need it to remove the awful blur from the game.
Also, is it designed for the Injector ENB, right? Otherwise it's conflicting with the Wrapper's own d3d9.dll (and thus it's in-game menu cannot be accessed).
oh fuck is that really a thing?
guess I better do it, since cutting his wings off apparently takes more damage than killing him outright, and damage is in short supply
thanks, anon, you're a gruff old sod with a heart of gold
Thanks for all the info anon, I'm sure Capcom will take forever to fix this shit so might as well grind and fix my pawns inclination while I wait.
>Tfw people already killing Ur dragons while dragging my toes waiting for pawn fix
Where is this guy, and what lvl should you be to fight him?
Can't be bothered modding. No need.
At Devilfire Grove, in the southwest part of Gransys, near the Shadow Fort.
You can probably stand a decent chance as low as 30ish, but it's a long fight so be prepared. Also make sure to bring a mage with ice affinity.
There's a patch (enblocal and d3d9) on the nexus page, just install ENB, install a reshade, then install the patch and it should work. To test it hit shift+ enter to open ENBs menu and scrolllock/insert to toggle reshade. That gallery is v2 which was a bit too green(image) so I toned that down for v3 but also did other stuff. If you just want to tone down the green use the "HSV" shader in CustomFX.cfg in the Reshade folder.
>#define fSaturationModGreen -0.100 //[-1.00:1.00] //-Adds to the color saturation of green hues only. Default 0.0.
should be good then, maybe.
>doing the Troublesome Tome quest, figure since they hand it to you during quest progression it should be reasonably
>have to walk on foot out to the middle of nowhere
>invisible lizards I can barely damage, have to run past them
>two ogres with armor on, I manage to stunlock them to death with my two mages
>get to the thieves hideout
>"its probabaly all the way across the map"
>go to the Stonehammer base
>get instantly set upon by 20 bandits that two-shot me
>decide to go back to town for more side-missions
>take escort mission with cute accent general
>"go to the other side of the map"
This game has some fucking weird sidequest pacing
So after beating Grigori for the first time on PC (done it loads of times on console), I have some questions I've never bothered to investigate regarding the earlier Arisens. We all know how the Duke got his power, but what of the other Arisens, such as Dragonforged? Do we know why he chose not to fight? What about Selene's Arisen?
wow strider is fucking disgusting
im pretty sure strider is stronger than assassin because of brain splitter.
assassin gets gale harness for climbing on stuff, but holy shit brain splitter just wrecks everything
Just assign common items to hotkeys. 1~5. You obviously aren't going to be messing with anything but
>1 HP curative
>1 stamina curative
>2 utility items
Aren't pawns supposed to cost you rift crystals if they're a higher level than you? Because I'm able to higher a friend's pawn who is 7 levels above me for free. Why is this? Is it because it's a friend's pawn? Is it because I hired him before?
>friends are free
The dragonforged wasn't attached to anything and had nothing to potentially sacrifice, so Grigori refused to fight him.
Selene's Arisen is debateable, but she might have SPOILERS
opted to go back to her peaceful life when god gave her the option
Oh, I see it now. What I'm aiming for is a preset that stays faithful to the game's original tones while removing the blur (and thus increasing the contrast and maybe darkness) while being as performance-efficient as possible.
Which versions do you think would be the best for me based on this description? Thanks in advance! (For comparison, this seemed to be the best so far aside from your ReShade: https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/5014/)
Is Autonomy worth taking? I kind of want to be a lone adventurer for a while.
So how do you give these idols to merchants? I got this bronze idol and I thought tat you could just give them to merchants by talking to them an using the give option but the idol doesn't appear between the available items for giving
Can you just ferrystone the escort missions?
I don't REALLY want to guide 6 people from a city to the fucking shadow fort, it's so god damn far to have to slowly walk with the person I'm escorting.
So why was Dragonforged even chosen as Arisen in the first place then? Doesn't Grigori only choose those who put forth the effort to face him?
So Selene's arisen
possibly defeated the Seneschal?
Finally, Does defeating him literally return the heart to EVERY single previous Arisen? as in potentially erasing all of the previous Chosen's?
