3DS: 9.2 (10.3 for userland / downgrade, eShop is x.x.x-28 only)
Wii U: 5.5.1 (Upcoming IOSU exploit, stay where you are to be safe)
Vita: 3.51 (Userland)
PS4: 1.76 (Webkit)
O3DS emuNAND can update all the way to 10.3
N3DS emuNAND 9.5 stable
N3DS emuNAND 10.3 for Gateway, plus experimental Cakes/Rei builds
DOWNGRADING: http://pastebin.com/ZfA8wtA2 • http://pastebin.com/EBKipkPW • http://pastebin.com/ndvW5Aji
-10.4 NOT TODAY
-Browserhax server is temporarily kill
-memchunkhax2 is a kernel11 exploit that allows downgrading to 9.2, and works with every firmware including 10.3.
-Gateway v3.7 adds 10.3 emuNAND support for New 3DS
-Rei and mid-kid vomit out stable 10.3 N3DS emuNAND builds of ReiNAND and CakesFW
-Smea started working on hax 3.0
>Is downgrading safe?
Safe as it gets for now. Most bricks seem to be people using the wrong firmware. Be sure you understand the process.
-A libkhax variant of mch2 sysUpdater compiled by julian20 implements the safest settings so far.
-Getting the downgrader to even start can require many tries. Opening and closing an FTP app supposedly helps.
-Turn your Wifi switch on and keep the console plugged into its charger.
-Blank screen can be caused by Menuhax. Try pulling your SD card if you get it. Boot, reinsert, change theme.
-It would appear Yellows8's .mp4 exploit has not been patched in 5.5.1
-Cobra Black Fin was announced. http://wololo.net/2015/12/07/cobra-black-fin-an-upcoming-dongle-to-play-ps-vita-isos/
-A Vita update got released, you might not want to update since it fixes the email exploit.
>Connect to the internet and touch Open to start updating
Is this notification to update the game or 3DS firmware? How does it know there is an update if I haven't connected to the internet?
J-LIST ads are so cringe worthy
>N3DS emuNAND 10.3 for Gateway, plus experimental Cakes/Rei builds
FIX THE OP.
DELETE THE FUCKING THREAD.
Anyone know how to find Shovel Knight DLC .cia?
3dsiso a shit
Now I'm getting a different error
The solution on google is to sign in to my NNID on my sysNAND
But wouldn't that just relink my NANDs again, which is exactly what I don't want?
Forgot my cute girl image to grab your attention?
Is there any way I can firmware spoof on cakes? I'm searching around and everything I see requires making xorpads with rxTools which I don't have. I just wanna play FE Fates and MH4U.
Running 9.2 cakes atm
I was hoping to avoid 3dsiso
Emuparadise has spoiled me
Going to eshop apparently uninstalls all your DLC's and I don't want to be bothered with that shit.
I'm trying to find the 3dsiso thread for updates but no luck
"update" isn't a good searchword
But I just reformatted my sysNAND.
I don't want to lose my NNID on emuNAND.
Trying to get flashcart working.
I've got rxTools and downloaded miniPasta. as well.
What I've tried:
CTRoot ->miniPasta-> (It auto reloads back into CTR because of menuhax)-> HBL->FBI->Install failed
I'm assuming menuhax the problem here
Bypass CTR into sysNAND ->browserhax->miniPasta->(bypass CTR cause I'm option 2)** ->browserhax->HBL->FBI app -> Install failed
CTR->rxMode->Boot into sysNAND option->browserhax-> miniPasta-> (bypass CTR cause I'm option 2)** ->browserhax->HBL->FBI app-> Install failed
I don't even fucking know anymore. Is option 2 the problem? Or just menuhax overall?
Is there another way to install this? I have rxTools and the right .app/.tmd. Is there a reason I can't install it straight from the rxTools Advanced menu?
You can with Decrypt9 + universal inject generator, which you should be using anyway.
So I got my emunand made and unlinked it from my sysnand (folder only appears in emu) however I believe I
1) Installed browser hax on my emunand, how do I delete it?
2) My FBI installer on Emunand doesn't work, says location doesn't exist. Attempting to update my emunand also didn't work.
I really wish there was a possibility to make a program that lets you output the 3DS screen on your monitor, kinda like they did with the PSP back in the day. Sadly, the PSP did with the direct USB cable, which the 3DS doesn't have.
Man, Nintendo is really bottom of the barrel when it comes to hardware.
Holy shit you're not kidding and holy shit he seems pissed even though he has a thing that says it was him joking around.
https://twitter.com/hykemthedemon He posted some keys. I don't know those keys but he posted them.
Is there a .3ds dump of pic related yet?
Tying to recover my Alpha Sapphire save and I got this error:
The save data is not compatible with this version, so it can't be used.
Refer to the electronic manual for details.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks!
If you're on CFW, open SaveDataFiler, find Alpha Sapphire (011C5), erase the secure value for it and it should just werk.
If you're only using homebrew, you'll make to make a new save and re-import your existing one with svdt (not the other save manager).
If I'm not using gateway, is there anything I need to put on my new SD before injecting my emunand?
>Gotcha! Sorry, I just wanted to annoy everybody a little. I believe it's fair after being called everything around here. "Clown" and "king of vapourware" were top notch, congrats on the insults!
>For all the others, rest assured, I'm not rage-quitting nor stopping anything. I ran into personal issues that kept me away from the internet, that's all. You'll still get your exploit as promised. I'm not wasting more time on the possible boot exploit as I've decided to chase that only after releasing what I have. I'm currently working on obfuscating it for which naehrwert gave me some "funky" ideas. It will take some time to implement, but my "vacations" have been extended up to the end of February.
>To compensate for the delay, expect some nice things. Check my twitter feed in about 10 minutes to understand what I'm talking about.
Shit, he fucking rused me but good, I was about ready to start bitching about it here until I read that
Alright, fuck. I'll format.
But now I'm in the system transfer pickle.
This is such a clusterfuck. Get out of one situation and jump into another.
I think eShop games can't be updated via eShop because their updates work differently from digital retail games. eShop games updates change the whole game instead of adding just extra content, and as you actually haven't bought it it can't update. You just have to find a more up to date .cia.
It's not DLC, it's just an update. Don't know where to find it because I actually own it.
I think it uninstalls DLC only for games you've actually bought DLC for before. In any case, it doesn't seem to happen will all games.
None? You should have already cloned your sysNAND into emuNAND. Also use TinyFormat on sysNAND instead of formatting unless you want to mess up your NNID and have to format your emuNAND too.
>Dump your emuNAND to emuNAND.bin with emuNAND9
>Save that file to your PC
>Backup your SD to your PC
>Format your current emuNAND
>Set up 3DS again
>Restore your SD backup
You won't lose anything. The problem here is that formatting your sysNAND told Nintendo to log out your NNID from your 3DS, but your cloned emuNAND still is linked to your NNID.
You don't install browserhax. if you mean menuhax, just change your theme on emuNAND.
No. Use TinyFormat to avoid NNID fuckery.
The Japanese demo? You have to place the langemu_jp plugin under SD:/plugin/HyruleDemoID/langemu_jp.plg
You can find game IDs on 3dsdb.com
Nah. Might have to format your SD to FAT32 with 32k blocks.
Could not install app.
Raw error: 0xc8a0802b
Module: AM (0x20)
Level: Status (0x19)
Summary: Invalid State (0x5)
Description: Database does not exist (0x2b)
Any ideas? I'm on 9.2 on o3DS
Yes, that's what I meant. Is there another way if this doesn't work for some reason?
So TinyFormat doesn't fuck with NNID?
So I can Copy all my shit on the SD card, put it on
the PC, Format then put it back?
Would everything be the exact same except for some settings?
Deleted my Nintendo 3DS folder because I couldn't extract Monster Hunter and Fantasy Life saves despite using extdata extractors and Savedatafile extraction. Figured if I reinstalled CIAs and redid that folder, the programs would find it.
Now I can't install .CIAs. I was told that I need to open eshop to get into it, but rxtools doesn't have eshop access and Homebrew Hax has an eshop option but when I click it it sits on the eshop screen background but does nothing.
Should I just put my Nintendo 3DS folder back on there and not fool with it, or is there some way to extract those saves and I'm just fucking up? Savedatafile says "broken" for those saves, and extdata extractor says cannot find location of the files so I figured my old 3DS saves are mixing with the new emuNAND and fucking them up.
This has been a struggle for days, and if anyone can help me I'd be extremely appreciative.
There's a tool that will repair it for you, it just requires you to have the old save backed up, and a new save made, so it can put data from the new one into the old one. Google should find the name of it, I forget.
Download and install SaveDataFiler.cia. http://filetrip.net/dl?V7GsvABs67
Find Alpha Sapphire (it should be 011C5, it's some of the last numbers in the titleid which you could find at 3dsdb.com if you wanted to do it yourself).
Press R+X. Make sure the bottom screen says "delete secure value" and accept.
>I think it uninstalls DLC only for games you've actually bought DLC for before. In any case, it doesn't seem to happen will all games.
Is this true? I'm kind of scared to try
So, how do I get Howling Theme Tools to stop complaining at me about folder layout? No variation of how it says it likes its folders seems to work, and it even tells me the examples it came with are in the incorrect layout. I just want a custom theme in emunand, damn it.
I wanted to install a game, went to 3dsdb but the product code it gives can't be found in big blue menu
What do? Any other way to find what to uninstall?
You're sure you're booting into emuNAND? Otherwise I don't know.
>Yes, that's what I meant. Is there another way if this doesn't work for some reason?
I'm sorry I don't know what post you're referring to.
It's literally called 3DSSimpleCIAConverter Google it.
Yes. But don't format your SD. It should work without having to replace your stuff.
Yeah, you usually get that code after finishing Shovel Knight's campaign.
You mean soundtoxin or mr cakes dev? Neither, I'm actually the AdsBypassed pastebin anon.
Use this one
Well, I've only bought DLC for Smash and it's my only game that gets affected by entering eShop. You might want to put a DLC folder inside your CIA folder with your DLC files in case you need to enter the eShop.
The R4i for 3DS works, and so does the DSTWO. There's also a way to use any DS flashcart but I don't know the process. Google it.
So I followed this exactly as it says but when I open the app it closes and restarts my 3ds on the "jumping into the payload" part. Any help for this?
So what happened with the amiibo support for o3ds?
I know they added the menu in the firmware, but did they ever actually release or even really elaborate on what physical thing they were doing?
If you have the .cia around, you can look at it using BBM or FBI and see what ID it has from there.
There is an Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer bundle with the game and the NFC reader thing for O3DS.
I don't know, I didn't actually use it that far into the process.
alright so i recently dug out my old 3ds and decided to try running some homebrew.
it's on version 7.2.0-12u
i've been attempting to get into the homebrew launcher via sliderhax but i just get a yellow screen and get kicked back to the home menu every time. i know people say sliderhax is a little finnicky but i've been getting this exact same behavior every time and i've probably tried 40 or 50 times now. should i keep going at it or is there a better method? or have i been overlooking something obvious?
Kind of. The keys are out, The problem is that he didn't reveal 8 of the numbers (represented by the ????) so we have to bruteforce them or wait for Hykem's "vacation" to end in febuary
I was referring to the other post in my post you just replied to. >>128939940 and >>128937902
Should I just make another emunand and get rid of my current one? But this time installing FBI and BigBlue before I make the copy?
Homebrew Launcher doesn't work on 3DS below 9.0. You can set up CFW and then update later.
I think it's about time that I just get off my ass and write a guide for that.
would it be easier to do that or to update to 10.3 and then downgrade back to 9.2, or is that retarded?
I've just made a discovery.
As i posted in last thread, i did a system transfer and all my games installed in emunand had the Grey X of death over them.
I redownloaded a terraria CIA and went to reinstall it, and lo and behold it said title already installed, and when i checked the home menu there it was.
I guess i save the time of re-installing everything, but i still have to redownload all the CIAs... now im going to keep them in a folder on my pc i guess, in case this happens again.
Google only gives me https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/3z8zne/getting_an_error_when_trying_to_install/ as the same error I'm getting.
However I'm not sure is that title ID correct, and is there a way to be sure it is or not?
For some games. It seems to happen to games you've actually bought some DLC for. Happens to some people, doesn't happen to others.
Yeah sure go for it. See if you can't uninstall the FBI.cia and install it again before doing that.
Anything else you want me to do, trip authority?
Oh shit sorry, I read too quickly. I apologize. I think there's a way to do it but it's not simple.
No. L+R+A+Up+power button gets you into recovery mode. Update and try again.
We don't know yet. 10.4 might fuck shit up.
It's probably a region issue.
The DSTWO is the best cart out there IMO. Has ways to play GBA/DS/SNES/Genisis and a couple more things. its pretty great.
Dunno happens with me sometimes. doesnt seem to mess with any of the saves or settings though so it doesnt matter.
might be a different region issue since it only happens with Taiko for me.
No you dont need the CIA files after the games are installed Delete them after the game gets installed its just more wasted space. trust me.
Gonna post my eShop dump again, still no idea on what virtual console games there are in the unknown cias folder but anything in this picture that doesn't have it's own folder is fair game, except any dsiware as I didn't dump that.
Am I able to change my emunand's clock? I want to make 10pm into 10am since I play mainly at night but want it to be day. Nands unlinked if that matters, not sure if the clock will fuck anything up though?
Unless they made a hardware revision, GBA emulation is pretty inconsistent, only a few games get true full speed with no frame skipping.
But it's a great card for DS games, and the GBC/NES emulators are flawless.
I have the .cias from the correct firmware (9.2.0-20U(Full)_n3DS.zip) in an updates folder on the root of my SD card but the downgrader keeps telling me
>main.ccp:148; Result: 0xD900182F
>Failed to get CIA file info!
Does any kind Anon want to go buy this and dump it for us?
trying to transfer my shit from one microSD to another using this guide
when I hit apply I get an error in broken english basically saying 'something went wrong while moving the FAT partition'
any alternative methods? my original card is 4gb and almost out of space, it came with my n3ds(j)
here is the error in question, fuck this program.
Hey, I got a weird question. While I was doing all the stuff to downgrade my O3ds, for some reason my card became write protected whenever I connect it to my PC. Anyone else run into this problem? And if so, how do I fix it?
There was a guy saying that because pokemon red/blue are going to be preinstalled on the upcoming pokemon 3ds bundles, that anyone can put it on their non-cfw 3ds and play them. Was he talking shit or what?
Read the fucking retard guide and just about everything in the op. ask better questions when you want to know something more specific than "how do i do"
does it say wrong firmware? make sure you have the latest firmware and you know how to use NTR
just get the japanese version called For The Sequel. its uncensored and should detect your language as english.
Right click properties should find some way to fix it.
Finally managed to get it work. Tested my first game Super Mario 3D.
Just want to say thank you to all the people that helped answer retard questions that I've asked over the past several days.
Here are my notes:
1. N3DS - took me I think 5 or 6 days to make it work. Tried 5 times, trying I mean by upgrading then downgrading again. really frustrating.
2. Used the Cakeguide http://pastebin.com/EDvmCBzU the Cakepack has almost all of the tools you need just update the homebrew apps to their latest version. FBI in particular and add Decrypt9 as well
3. Mistakes. I followed the retard guide blindly. I didn't take the time to understand the system or what's being done or why even a little bit. after several frustrated attempts and was finally reading I then understood the file settings and what I'm doing wrong
4. Backup! most importantly after the downgrade, after dumping SysNAND.bin and after installing the CFW. One of the things that made me redo stuff was the menu fucking up. I'm a perfectionist and I really don't like it when things are out of order. so backup as much as possible. Restoring is as easy as pasting the files anyway.
5. When asking questions give out the details as much as possible. A Screenshot would be awesome.
6. Answer questions if you can and help out others. You were a noob once too.
Does anyone know why Ctrbootmanager boots into cakes, and then ctrbootmanager again, and then freezes with a red screen on the bottom?
I've tried setting the autoboot to 200, but no dice.
I have no idea what i've done wrong, i've checked this 100 times, looks perfect.
>copy some CIAs over to SD card for use
>put card back in 3DS
>turn 3DS on
>black screen turns on, pauses for a second, then flashes like crazy for 10 seconds before crashing to an empty sysNAND saying card cannot be read
>repeat attempts to turn on just go straight to sysNAND saying SD card can't be read
>freak out, put SD card back in PC, everything seems fine
>put card back in 3DS, boots in emuNAND no probs
What just happened?
Alright, I finally installed an emuNAND of 9.2. I only have three/four questions and I'll be out of this hell.
1) All I have to do to install 3ds games is installing the .cia files to both NANDs as well as my SD using FBI installer, correct?
2) How do I go about installing updates to certain games if I need to? Will updating my emuNAND to the latest official version through the system and then updating those games as needed work?
3) Is there any point in linking my NNID back?
>Don't know where to find it because I actually own it.
FunkyCIA2 will download all of your eShop content (or a specific type, such as game updates) as long as you use Decrypt9 to dump your ticket_emu.db file first. It will then convert them into installable cia files.
If you have anything rare Don't be a dick and share. *honk honk*
>Etrian Odyssey Untold 2
Holy shit I love you, clicked that expecting to just find Paper Jam and got another cia I was looking for the longest time.
I'm too lazy to convert the .3ds files on 3dsiso
So every time I try to update my emuNAND to 10.3 through system settings, it seems to switch back to sysNAND every time I open system settings. Is there a fix for this or any way around it? I'm on an O3DS.
Huh, whenever I hold R while booting into emuNAND, it actually boots into emuNAND instead of freezing. And if I hold R while powering on, it boots into sysNAND.
Is it due to the menuhax trigger (R), or is it something else?
First of all, you gotta make sure you've go emunand set properly. To do that open rxtools holding L, and start it by picking the emunand option. If it loads emunand without any errors then you've got it running properly. Then you just have to open sysnand and format it. Turn your 3DS on without the sdcard on it, and format it. After it's done just turn it off, put the sdcard in, turn it on, start rxtools and boot into emunand, then update it.
The same thing was happening to me because I got stuck thinking I had set my emunand properly when I didn't - I was actually using RX-E sysnand the whole time.
Whenever you exit System Settings, your 3DS automatically completely reboots itself (After saving any settings you changed/made). This happens in both sysNAND and emuNAND, so there isn't much of a way to fix it I think.
happened to me once and only once. taking out the sd card and putting it back in seemed to fix it so i dunno.
every game that you want is in the pastebins in the OP as well as sites to look it up for yourself.
yeah i got everything to work a couple days ago so im just here for a couple days answering questions.
1) Unlink the nands. Put the CIA in whereever you want in the SD card. make a cia folder for easier access. go into FBI or BBM and press install and then delete the CIA since you dont need it anymore. you only play it in Emunand
2) Update the fucking EmuNand unless you are on n3ds then i dunno. In any case get the Update CIA for the game and install it same way as a game. if you are on old3ds then update the EmuNand to 10.3.
3) Yes there is if you want eshop back but you really dont need eshop anymore.
Theres a way around it by setting it to autoboot into emunand but i dont know how. you could try to go to MenuHax settings in homebrew and press configure boot settings and then press type9. that sets it so it automatically goes to the CRTbootmanager.
Aside from that the whole system settings thing is a feature
Read the fucking OP you imbecile
I think emunand + sysnand + basic stuff takes like 2.5GB on the sdcard. You could get a game on it but you have to transfer the cia AND have space for it to install afterwards (so if you put a 1GB cia on it, you'd still have to have a free 1GB to install it)
You'd better off starting over, it's not a big deal after you've got it the first time. Just backup your sdcard, put in a new one, install emunand and format it again, then copy everything to the new sdcard
Well yes but he is looking for a solution where entering system settings via emunand and then exiting system settings to return to emunand without the use of hax. That's what I was talking about at least.
yes, rxTools on 9.2E but it's still linked (was following the retard's guide, and i've just finished stage c).
yeah it says it's only got 1.3GB left, which i doubt is enough for anything.
i've dug around the house and found a 16GB SD card i should be able to use. is there any way to transfer it over?
Type2 i meant. press type 2 on MeuHax Manager settings in homebrew.
in any case theres a way to autoboot into emuNand no matter what but i forgot the way and the guide to do it. should be in one of the pastebins though.
Dont think you can. i just use a DSTWO card for those but im sure other anons know more than i do.
Bitch dont ask useless questions. just get what you want.
these are for when you are going into menuhax when you hold the L button.
>still looking for ki:u (us)
just fucking kill me
What are you using then? Or rather, how did you go about doing that, because iirc the only way to return to emunand from system settings exit is to setup a autoboot menuhax, which goes against what I was saying (keyword: without the use of hax)
58f00 LOZ oracle of Ages
7db00 Kirby Dreamland 2
99900 Megaman 2
9c800 Dinosaur Office College Humour
41000 Pokemon shuffle
64600 Pokemon Rumble World
for anyone that cares
Did you install them into emuNAND? As in, did you launch rxTools BEFORE going into your cia installer? If not, they're installed to sysNAND and won't show up unless you use Pasta on sysNAND, at which point they will still not be playable.
To everyone using this opportunity to play Ocarina of Time 3D, here's an easy way to unlock Master Quest without touching your saves.
Just replace the system.dat with this one in svdt, and now the game will ask you whenever it boots if you want to play regular or Master Quest without having to beat the game first.
The Master Quest is the GameCube Master Quest, completely mirrored, and you take double damage from enemies. It's pretty cool.
trying to log into eshop but get error 022-2634.
I try going into homebrew launcher from that ctrbrowser but it just gives me a red screen.
basically im either trying to restore my o3ds or system transfer to my new 3ds but totally los
What's the proper way to restore my back up? Just copy the files over? Copy the old emuNAND?
Is the one in here >>128944180 not USA version?
If not, my friend has it and when he loans it to me I'm going to dump it anyway. I still gotta get it and A Link Between Worlds, at least
>Installed RXTools and everything but stopped with progress once I got to the stage that put FBI over the Heal&Safe Tips
How much was I set back, My EMUNand is now basically vanila except for a bunch of DSIWare games on it. It still has RXTools installed onto it.
What do I use to copy my Sysnand over the Emunand again?
What the hell guys.
So I got ctrboot to work. EXCEPT
Whenever I hold "y" (my menuhax trigger) when i'm starting the system, it boots to sysNAND, like it's supposed to.
When I do nothing, it boots to ctrbootmanager->cakes->ctrbootmanager->freeze
When I do nothing then ctrbootmanager->cakes->then hold "Y" it boots to emuNAND
So I got it to work, but it's supposed to boot to emuNAND without having to do that. What the hell did I do wrong? I mean, it's fine, but i'd prefer not doing that. Does anyone know a fix?
you basically have 3 options
- follow the retard guide in the OP for rxtools CFW
- follow the cakes guide (this is the one I used)
- follow the Reinand guide (don't have this one)
they all cover installing games too. just remember to ALWAYS BACKUP!
I dumped mine using this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/funkycia-guide-how-to-make-cias-from-your-eshop-stuff.377015/
With this download https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-funkycia2-build-cias-from-your-eshop-content-super-easy-and-fast-2-1-fix.376941/
literally ignoring all the errors, because the errors didn't actually do anything (including a windows Not Responding error) and trying to fix them actually did cause problems.
the ticket_emu file is under the Xorpad options menu in Decrypt9.
If you do this, you can punch some of the title ids into here to see what games you have: http://www.3dsdb.com/
Doesn't seem to have information for DSiWare titles, though. I had to install Four Swords Anniversary Edition to see what it was.
I have a confession to make: I couldnt make gpsp work.
I downloaded the retroarch nightly build thing and put gpsp_liberreto on my SD card with the bios and roms and whenever i tried to load a rom it kept telling me it couldnt find the bios
Also if i use the .cia where do i put the bios?
>Back up my NANDs
>I put it in a folder away from everything else
>Check my recycling bin
>Make another back up
>I need them
>Go to the folder
Nintendo got to me guys. Please remember me.
As requested in the previous thread, here are my theme settings. The bottom screen keeps saving with tons of white lines through it. I've tried changing the bottom screen frame type but that just turns the white lines, into various lines of the other scroll images (in this case, the same image, as I want a static image on both screens). Thanks for your help!
After what just happened?
No way. I'd lose my porn collection I built over the years.
Only the finest AAA porn allowed in that directory.
Why is at least one of these guides not in the OP yet?
gonna sum it up for you
- backup nand if you haven't
-turn 3ds off
- copy everything from the sd card to your pc
- put it back in your 3ds so you can use menuhax (IMPORTANT)
- using menuhax, boot into emunand9
- pick the first option (to install the emunand)
- it will warn you about formatting your sdcard - at this point, put in your bigger sdcard (like it tells you to)
- do the down, up etc command and let it do its thing
- when it's done, turn off the 3ds
- put sdcard on pc, copy everything from the old sdcard to it
- put it on the 3DS, turn it on
- menuhax won't work (obviously) so you have to boot into browserhax ONLY to install menuhax
- after you install it, boot using menuhax
- if you followed the retard guide you will probably boot into ctrmanager which lets you pick rxtools or homebrew channel, this is good
- pick rxtools and hold L
- pick the option to start it and pick emunand
- if there are no errors great, you got emunand working
- turn 3DS off
- boot it without pressing L so it boots in regular sysnand
- Go to the format 3DS option
- BEFORE YOU FORMAT - remove your sd card
- let the 3DS do it's thing
- when it's done formatting, turn it off, put in sdcard again
- once again boot using browserhax ONLY to install menuhax
And you're done
I actually had problems wit that .cia for some reason. Then I found this.
If you encounter the same problem try this one. It's a USA one naively so no NTR or anything either.
I was led to believe tha rxTools had better GBA support out of the box. In that guide, yes, you have to install the patch to NAND on sysNAND and emuNAND, and you have to install the games, preferable to the SD, also on sysNAND and emuNAND. You could always try just downloading and installing the patch to emuNAND and then installing a game on emuNAND, but remember to install the patch DIRECTLY TO NAND (L button in FBI to switch from SD to NAND)
Which of you is worse?
The world may never know.
I need help, im following the retards guide and im upto this point, everything works so far but I cannot "hold L to access the rxtool menu" as it fucking tells you to
19) Select rxTools and hold L to enter the rxTools menu
20) Go to Advanced > Install FBI > emuNAND > Check TMD. Make note of the Region and the Version.
what am I doing wrong?
Do I have to edit an existing theme to change the theme settings like the colours? I'm trying to make a new theme and all the options are greyed out unless I load a theme I dumped from my 3DS.
you need to check the checkboxes on the right to change the relevant colors
for some reason you need to click apply before you can change the colors after that
i'm working on improving YATA+ though
what if i don't have the card like the dirty pirate i am
i have very reliable sources that tell me that there will be no 10.4. next version will be 11.0 and it will be released on the 4th of february together with the bayonetta dlc.
>I backed up the 9.2 emuNAND instead of the 10.3 one
Only one way to find out if it all went to hell
Can you install a DLC Cia and play it on a cartridge game? Or does the game have to be CIA as well?
>Everything is working
I'M FINALLY FREE FROM THIS HELL
What if the reason 10.4 is taking so long is because they're working it to be manditory for all future games to function with. Obviously it's too late for paper mario/Fire Emblem but everything after that FF explorers/Bravely Second/Dragon Quest etc have a manditory firmware check and wont even play on updated systems? Could they do it?
If not, what other reason could there be for them to be the late with the release?
I was just wondering that maybe a cartridge game could tell the difference or not between a legitmate game and CIA.
Btw, I don't have my NNID linked to either sysNAND 9.2 or emuNAND 10.3, would it be okay to connect my emuNAND to play online?
Quick question. Got a Old 3DS XL running 4.2 SysNAND and 9.9 emuNAND with rxTools that boots via the DS Profile menu.
Any changes I need to make to get 10.3 emuNAND with autobooting rxtools?
Nope, they can only do that for online play, unless Nintendo really wants to risk not allowing their player fan base w/o internet to be unable to play their games.
They MAY have it to where a game forces an update on launch, but I doubt it.
supes is old and busted, flash is the new hotness
how do I play yokai watch on my 9.2 cakescwf 3ds when it requires at least 9.8 rfw. Dumb question,
I think they just decided to wait for the account update to release anything. No point in building an update to fuck up downgrading when they can just consolidate it with actual features that are around the corner.
you got meme'd mate
Could the Anon that made these Pokemon themes possible make a Green one?
I have the Red and Blue ones on shuffle.
sysNAND is 9.2 & emuNAND is 10.3 on o3DS
Would it be safe for me to connect my NNID to emuNAND to play online? (It's not connected to my sysNAND)
Yep, I've previewed it before saving and it still looks ok.
I'm using templates off redshit, the bottom screen is three images triplicated unless you want a scrolling effect, right? I've tried just using one copy, leaving the two blank, but that leads to white lines. Triplicates like the guide instructs gives the image with the other images lined through it.
Finally got blue card working, took for fucking ever.
If anyone needs help just respond and I'll tell you what I did, none of the guides are good except this one (MORE OR LESS)
This is HOT SHIT, I'd love a green one too.
They probably had that in development and >Nintendo >capable of using branches.
Wouldn't be surprised if they rushed something out with Nintendo account half-implemented for no reason.
cakes works better on a N3ds tho,
some nig here was posting about how that was terrible. ehhhh
Oh shit, got a download for those?
Those look rad as hell
Is is possible for me to dump my carts as cias and still have the save files for the cia version?
Only two physical games I still play are Xeno and Theatrhytmn and I rather have one cart in the N3DS
OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT HUNTEREB RELEASED IT
MK7 online is ruined forever now
he even said he doesn't give a shit anymore on the youtube video
I'd like a Yellow one too, but he already said no to that ;_;
Should I uninstall from FBI or system settings?
I would rather system settings but I don't know if there are anything that would break if I did.
I tried this, but it keeps insisting that the card is write protected. I've done all I can to this card, but the odd thing is that even though I can't put anything on or off the card, it works fine in my 3ds. Very strange..
thanks a tonne for writing this out. on the 2nd last step: it says it will connect tot he internet to see if the system can be formatted. does that mean it's going to go back to 10.3?
Wait seriously? I changed my clock by a day yersterday
>have a whole night of nonstop fun
>put games on hacked 3ds
>never play them
Fuck me, there is no way to fix it? and by apps you mean like Arcade Badge or games?
No idea as I haven't changed the clock yet, but I heard it can duplicate your apps on the menu and possibly fuck with saves or something, can't tell if it was Bs or what though.
I'll try then, I was also gonna do it for AC since apparently 10 is that pawn shops closing.
I mean I really cant see anything bad happening, ive probably changed my clock like 5 times this last week.
All my games are perfectly fine.
I have my shit unlinked though, which might play into it.
Think about it. Does that make ANY sense at all?
I also have my nands unlinked, I'm not sure if the anon that had their apps duped from tampering with their systems clock was linked or not though, But if it's fine to do I'll go ahead and change my clock to morning instead of night, thanks anon.
We'll I found this in the pastebin. Hope you enjoy multiple parts.
Rune Factory 4
No you dont need to. you can already play online on EmuNand as long as its on 10.3. try smash bros or something.
No it doesnt. EmuNand and SysNand are always connected to the same system.
10.4 is a lie for the time being. dont worry.
has anyone been able to find this in a non-shitty server?
someone posted this mega and I need to ask:
would I just simply download these and install? do you not need a 3rd party emulator for these .cia's?
okay shit, i've just got rxTools working, haven't unlinked NANDs yet. didn't realise unlinking NANDs would delete my saves for games i've downloaded. i've actually paid for picrites in pokemon picross and fucked with the other pokemon f2p games so i'd like to keep my saves for those.
how do i back up my saves? google says i need savedatafiler, which needs bigbluemenu to install it, but then the trail runs cold: how do i install the bigbluemenu cia?
>set a couple of games to install
>go play something else
>come back, everything is nice and set up
who /comfy/ here
