Darkest Dungeon general: Shoot bandage and pillage. The dancing steps of war.
Final release tomorrow!
Darkest Dungeon Soundtrack
Iv not played nor posted in this general for about 9 months now.
Could not get off work this week, or rather i didnt want to so i still have to wait another week until i can play, but im so excite.
Um, can you, uh, please change your /ddg/? Dragons' Dogma General is already /DDG/, and they've, um, been around a lot longer. Thank you~
22nd point 8th for the hope that the porn remains tasteful and scarce.
Its just rest is shit.
-generic 'murder teh children and women' shit for Highman
-diversity 'muh daddy killed by evil racist' shit for arbelist
-total shit for Man at Arms
-not that bad but not that great shit for Abo
Fuck off, /ddg/ is reserved for Dragon's Dogma.
>Implying daddy wasn't killed for stealing a crossbow and selling state secrets
>Implying Man At Arms isn't just the last survivor of his unit and thus has no one to fight for
>Implying Highwayman isn't Jango Fett allegory and he killed Boba Fett and Sam
>Implying Leper wasn't just some guy on a game show called "How Long Can You Live With Leprosy In The Wilds?!" conducted by aliens
Expand your horizon.
The meme is too ingrained.
Just got party wiped for the first time since I started playing the game. In 3 turns, they all died and every attempt at escaping failed
What the fuck you why did you do this
Now don't let it die.
You are the guardian now.
>Tfw just defeated a collector even before he summoned heads with a level 1 team with no upgrades
Can I use my pirated save when the game comes out?
I don't know, but now that I'm 20 weeks in, and have a handle on how things work, I'm leaving the game alone to start afresh when it comes out.
Hopefully I won't get that "have a hero die" achievement happen on my first foray into the ruins.
Once the game is released this Tuesday the achievements will activate for ALL savegames. Some are retroactive, some are not. Confirmed NOT retroactive is fully upgrading a building.
If you don't have a save you might as well wait until release, if you have a save that is not at the endgame don't worry about progressing but try not to finish everything. Grinding over progress. If you're lategame you're reasonably safe to keep playing uninterrupted though you will most likely have to start a new game to get 100% of achievements. There will be a NG+ mode; details unknown.
Vestal's heals feel way way underpowered to me
Is a trinket required for her to heal more than 4 fucking hp?
Occultist seems way better. Sometimes he heals zero, but his average healing is at least twice as good as Vestal's (in my experience). She can't even keep one person topped off.
I won't scatter your sorrows to the heartless sea.
I will always be with you
eyepatch on the wrong eye in pic, let's pretend it's a reflection from a mirror
>apprentice dungeon with low stress crusader, MAA, GD, Vestal
>critted 3 times in a row for 30 health putting almost everyone on deaths door
>PLUS 15 DODGE ON ALL OF MY PEOPLE
>AFFLICTED AFFLICTED AFFLICTED
YES THIS POST IS A MESS AND YES I'M FUCKING MAD. WHY IS MAA SUCH A SHIT AND WHY DOES PLUS DODGE NEVER FUCKING HELP
HOW CAN A FLOATING SKULL DO 30 DAMAGE ON APPRENTICE
THIS IS HORSE SHIT AND THE WAGON HAS NOTHING BUT FUCKING MAN AT ARMS
I believe >>128932680 is correct that it was Madman. I killed him first though. If not them, then ectoplasm
Anyone else notice it's almost impossible to click the door moving left? If the characters aren't standing directly in front of it, then I'm too far away to go through it. If they are, then I just select the characters over and over even though I'm not clicking on them, I'm clicking on the door. It's pretty annoying
I dunno, kinda just looks like hes holding a plate of maggots...
there we go.
I must say i'm proud of my work on this one.
I couldn't take part in this terrible Idea even if I wanted to.
OH WHAT WILL I DO, MY LEPER IS AFFLICTED, HIS RANGED SKILLS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME
I actually left that fight less stressed than how I entered it.
Post a better team composition
Protip: you cant
So does /DDG/ think of fan made heroes?
I found these on /v/
Lucky you. I never managed to get these, they're pretty rare.
If it dies, we could always go to /indie.
They caught a case of the tumblritus, pic related.
>save your firewood until the end of the journey
>use all your camping points on destressing
>get everyone to zero stress, so you can use them again in the next dungeon crawl
>WAKE UP THEY ARE UPON US
>it's a ghoul
Fuck this faggot.
Jester/Occultist/Abomination/MaA is good against Shamber when I tried it, although I think a hellion, Bounty Hunter, or Houndmaster in place of the MaA would be good too.
Guy on the right is best one. Left one could work as a Crusader reskin.
This guy is my fucking hero. Should I lock in the 15% disease resist to decrease the likelihood that I lose his Rabies due to curing him of a new disease?
>Pelagic Bulwark barnacle barriers the Thrall
The Cove is suffering
Which zones do you like? Ruins seems the easiest to deal with, the only enemy there who is real trouble is the bond command, and he can be managed if you spam weakening hex on him.
Weald is nice too, because you can find extra food there if you pack herbs on your trip.
I hate having to use the cove because of the fish and giant crabs. I also avoid the warrens because of the vomit pigs always giving my guys diseases.
Big game hunting guide; Shambler edition
Here's how to hunt Shamblers with almost any type of valid party composition:
1) Always pack 4 extra holy waters. They barely cost 1k and many curios use them anyway. Pop all of them before the shambler altar. It's good to also have a full stack of bandages or Antivenoms as well
2) If your team composition have Leper, Arbalest or other classes that can't do jack shit outside of their position, shuffle your team beforehand with those guys in the middle
3)Check if you have the following archtypes:
>A very good stunner such as HoundMaster o MAA with stunning trinkets
>A high speed Abomination or high damage class that can hit the 2 claws before they can get their PROT buff
>A crit machine/nuking class to target the shambler itself.
If you have 2 out of 4, then you have a very high chance of beating the Shambler without casualties. If not, then you should reconsider or comeback with full stacks of Bandages or Anti-venom. My favourite anti-Shambler party is Arbalist-PD-Abomination-HoundMaster
How to fight it:
>Rule of thumb is to try and keep Shambler stunned as much as possible to prevent the clapper claws from overwhelming you or kill the claws quickly to prevent damage from accumulating. Alternate between stunning the shambler and the claws to be efficient
>If you're party is in danger of being stressed out, then focus on bursting or disabling the claws. If you leave 2 alive, there's a high chance that the shambler will do heavy stress damage to the party.
>Clapper claws are really weak to DoTs. Plague doctor and a follow up stun will always kill the claws.
>The key to Shambler battles is DPS and crowd control. Ideally, you want to finish the battle before your holy water buff and bandages/antivenom run out. A clapperclaw is scary when left alone but having a DoT is usually a death sentence to it, focus on the shambler to stop it from summoning more.
Most people agree that he's underpowered. He used to be the bleed guy, but now houndmaster outclasses him in that regard.
He's the best stress healer, but I prefer to use crusader for that.
He's almost as good at disability traps as the Grave Robber.
His buff song is pretty good if your running a leper or your guys have rabies, or if they're crit machines like the Grave Robber.
Hopefully, they'll buff him a little in the Tuesday update.
There doesn't seem to be any point in having a Jester when you can just bring a Hound Master that can do more damage, apply bleed on all he enemies and do about as much stress heal.
One more addenum. You can change skills on the fly in the dungeon. Certain skills that can cure bleed/blight on self is really useful in the fight so you can use a lvl 1 version and it will still work 100%
50 hours and i didnt know this
this changes everything
Why would your adventurers forget their skills?
What the heck, can't handle these veteran battles. 70% of my attacks are dodged. 70%! And can't deal enough damage, but take crits from shitty mcskellingtons, god why random hates me?
Are you upgrading your abilities and equipment?
Should we go back to /v/?
Going to be this guy, grabbed the game recently, anything I should know, and any starter tips?
Skills affect accuracy, weapon affect damage and armor affect HP & Dodge. If you can't hit shit, upgrade your skills and kill enemies before they get a chance to land a hit on you
I like to use the occultist as a substitute healer, but he needs to have the right team to mesh with.
Good things for teams with the occultist are:
>Other healers. Plaguefu can cover for him if he cures zero and a bleed. Arbalest can boost healing, so if he goes after her and gets a crit, he can heal as much as 40+ HP if you're lucky. Crusader can also heal a decent amount.
>heroes who can do bonus damage against marked enemies: Arbalest, bounter hunter, houndmaster
>heroes with good crowd control
You won't need as much healing if the enemies aren't attacking you as much or you focus on mitigating damage. There are various ways to do this (stuns, using a lot of protection or dodge) but I like to use movement abilities. If you can't kill the most troublesome enemies, put them where they can't do as much damage. You can always mix crowd control, depending on what your team is.
Other good none-vestal teams are crusader with a houndmaster in the 4th rank. Crusader can heal the first three ranks, while the houndmaster can heal himself.
Or you could take self-healers like the hellion, abomination, and houndmaster, with a plague doctor in the 4th rank.
With a Chirurgeons Charm the Occultist can get some pretty good heals. Plus if you have an Abomination you pretty much have to bring him.
I had some success with Occultist/Grave Robber/Abomination/Hellion. Since they can all deal with him inevitably fucking up and healing for 0 + bleed by cleansing or self healing. Not sure if I'd do a boss run with them though.
I really fucking hate occultist.
Hes way too unreliable.
Once did 24 heal no bleed. Which was nice but like 14overheal.
Other time, in the same run, did 0 + bleed on a guy who was critically low.
Occultist isn't a clutch healer, he's like a slot machine you pull if you have the luxury to heal which usually occurs when your are stunning and DoTing the last sucker to death. They actually have a higher rate of healing by averages and Occultist having a much higher Crit rate.
Abonmination don't really need healing, his self-heal works equally well as the Vestal's single target heal and also heal a ton of Stress if you're smart enough to put -StressDamage
I've done all my boss runs with Occult/Abom/MaA/Hellion
MaA marks himself, occult has weaken (30% less damage), three members have stun, abom has selfheal, and when abom transforms, he slams into second slot and MaA can still use his attacks.
Occultist healing zero hasn't put me in any damager yet
I also like to play with Occult/Arbal/BH/MaA, and I give the occultist mark
>All of my heroes always loose courage
>Except for my Plague Doctor, who always goes Focused
>HARDCORDE GAME TRYE ELITE HARDCORD
>stole some bonfire woods from shopkeeper
>go to the short dungeon with 3 bonfires
>on the each camp your party joking, drinking liquor from the cups stolen from bone countiers, eating crab meat and tentackles
>spanking bosses with their dicks
>coming from dung in good mood
Reminder that medicinal herbs used on a hero remove their debuffs.
I love the Jester, but that's because he helps prevent "Surprised" shenanigans. His Dirk Stab ability is VERY strong, being able to hit from any position and able to hit every enemy position except for the 4th. Lets you set up Holy Spear shenanigans as well.
Harvest at its second upgrade puts a pretty potent Bleed effect on baddies (though Houndmaster is clearly better at max rank). I'm not a fan of Slice Off, despite putting the bleed at 4 per round at an early upgrade.
Finale is... alright, when you REALLY need to nuke something in the third spot.
What I use for mine is Dirk Stab, Finale, Harvest, and either Battle Ballad or Solo, depending on the area.
I use finale as an opener since I got ridic high speed on my jester, then he chills handing out stress removal and buffs for 1-2 turn and then dirk stabbing up to front spot again
>Occultist bleeding anyone
Not after you get one of these.
i missed you /DDG/
Give me ideas for eldtrich abomination you would like to meet in darkest dungeon
release date is tomorrow, isn't it?
what are your expectations?
>I love the Jester, but that's because he helps prevent "Surprised" shenanigans.
That's pretty good, depending on your party. If you have a leper and arbalest in a party, I can see being surprised being super annoying. I prefer to scout, if you scouted an enemy battle, it can't surprise you when you walk into that hex.
Does he increase the odds of you surprising an enemy?
I don't mind fanservice, but that it would make that sprite stick out like a sore thumb if it was in the game.
Check it out:
>keeps calling the PD a man.
To be fair she does look like a man, or at least it's unclear
I watched some other guy saying to only use single damage attacks which makes more sense desu. You have mostly 4v4 battles which means if you kill a guy, the enemies lose a whole quarter worth of damage/stress shenanigans (not taking large foes into account) that will never come back. AoE is good for finishing weak enemies so no damage gets lost and stun is mostly good if it can stun multiple targets.
GIVE THEM NO QUARTER
New player here.
The game is not as hard as I remember (has the difficulty been nerfed, at least in the first levels ?)
The bosses are tough, though. Both the Prophet and the Hag rekt me, the second one killing my so far only casualty.
The Hag will be easy to kill now I know there's a fucking cauldron in the middle of the way, making melee fighters almost useless, but how to deal with the Prophet ? His attack where he makes the ceiling crumble on my group deals insane damage.
Oh wow I'm fucking stupid
It's part of the quest I'm on
I'd started the quest last night and then went to bed without entering a single room, so I'd totally forgotten about it
It even says so if I hover over the item slot... or look at the top right on the screen
With the game being fully released, will progress be reset?
>Does he increase the odds of you surprising an enemy?
As far as I can tell, no. But he's the best "shuffler", so in the off chance someone gets moved to an unusable/undesirable position (ex. Arby/PD in 1), he's the fastest at "fixing" that. But you almost always have to have a GR alongside him if you're going to have someone reliant on position 4.
Bring a Bounty Hunter for bosses. Also, bring Hound Master, and/or an Occultist.
For the Hag, bring someone with high HP (Leper, Crusader), and hope they go into the pot. Sucks to be that guy. The Hag is a size 2 enemy, so your BH can use Finish Him to hit her despite being in the back (she's occupying spots 3+4), and Hook and Slice to put bleeds on her. The Hound Master can stack bleeds and do a fuckload of damage using the Dog Treat. An Occultist can use Sacrifical Stab to hit her from spot 3, or Vulnerability Hex to remove her dodge rate. If you bring an occultist, let the HM stack bleeds before you use the dog treat.
You could employ the same strategy for the prophet, except instead of an Occultist, bring a Jester. Have the Jester/BH whittle away the FIRST pew with Dirk Stab and Collect Bounty, while the Crusader uses Holy Lance to skewer him.
The name of the game for those two bosses is "kill them before they kill you". You probably won't out-heal their damage (ESPECIALLY on the prophet), and since several boss get two turns, you can't rely too much on stunning them.
I brought a good party for my first try on the Hag : a Vestal for heals, a Grave Robber, a BH and a Leper.
The problem was that my BH had no attack able to target the last ranks, only stuns, leaving the GR as the only one able to attack the Hag efficiently. Incidentally, she was in the pot when I retreated, so she boiled to death.
Also, one last noob question : my veteran level characters simply refuse to participate in lower rank missions. Will this always be the case, or are those characters just assholes ?
>Some are retroactive, some are not. Confirmed NOT retroactive is fully upgrading a building.
So does it mean, if i'm in the process of upgrating it, I can still get the achievement?
Was almost a year since I played it. Used cheatengine to speed up the game 4 times to avoid the boring wait times between attacks.
Now finaly they might have increased the speed so that might not be necessary.
The wiki says that Beast Carcass gives Zoophobia (14% , Rabies (28%), Loot, or Nothing
So why did my Abom get Syphylus? What a dick
>game releases tomorrow
oh shit, for some reason I thought it wasn't coming out 'till February
I've already read Dagon and Shadow Over Innsmouth, what Lovecraft should I read in preparation for tomorrow, At the Mountain of Madness perhaps?
Rats In The Walls, The Whisperer In The Darkness, The Shadow Out of Time, The Colour Out of Space, and listen to Wayne June's narration of The Thing On The Doorstep
he has all of his abilities unlocked because he gets 3 while human and 3 while transformed
Abomination has access to 7 abilities, yeah. They are EXTREMELY self-reliant: stress heals, normal heals, can blight/stun enemies, and their camp skill can give them a straight 25% damage boost, and attack from any position except for 4.
But Leper, Vestal, and Crusader won't run with them.
kk, Rats in the Walls it is, thanks buds
It always make me think of this.
Been thinking about getting this game on release. Several months ago I routinely heard how the developers kept ruining the balance in the game. Would you guys say the balance has been better so far?
the only people who actually complained about corpses were people who sucked at team comps, and the only people who care about heart attacks are the ones that are bad at stress management
Alright gents, how the fuck do I kill the 12 pounder. Its basically debuff immune so I can't knock down its 50% prot. Do I just stun spam everything and kill the fusilier when i cant and ignore killing the other bandits?
It's been a while since I've fought the 12 pounder, but something that might help is to kill gunbandits and fat bandits. When it has two of the knife bandits, push them to the backrows and ignore them.
The knife bandit in the 4th rank will always use a weak attack, and I don't think the bandit in the 3rd rank has any attacks that will make it advance. So you're essentially only have to worry about damage from one bandit instead of two, allowing you to focus more on the matchman and the cannon itself.
I haven't tried this myself, so I'm not sure how well it works in practice though.
The moves seem to have really low tempo compared to other attacks other heroes have. I'd much rather kill the enemy than debuff. Also, rampart doesn't seem to do as much damage as it used to.
Rampart is not used for damage, it's used to stun and knockback if/when you need it.
Bellow is amazing because not only does a bit of damage, it also reduces any enemy's dodge and speed to shit. Your team will always act first and never miss.
His other abilities can be pretty good. Put him in the front row, guard the other person in the front row, and have an occultist use weakening hex. Even a giant mushroom man with a treebranch attack will do manageable damage.
The shield bash ability is good crowd control to.
>that manly roar
>THE GROUND QUAKES
>"This line will not break!"
desu we really need to fix the thread name, that's the second guy who's randomly asked a Dragon's Dogma question without paying attention, and a bunch of other people bitched about it
The shield bash works well with other move abilities. Neutering an enemy for a turn or two (stuff like putting a crossbow skelly in the 1st rank, or a cultist brawler in the 4th rank) is good, because it allows you to focus on killing a different enemy while the neutered enemy only plinks away at you.
In some cases, you can even neuter two enemies. For example, lets say you have two cultist brawlers in the first rank, and two archer skeletons in the back ranks.
If you use the occultist's tentacle grab or the bounter hunter's hook grab to grab the first archer, and put him in rank one. This will push the cultists back, so one of them is in rank 3.
The archer in the front will be forced to use his weak attack, and the cultist in the back will use his weak attack two. With one tentacle/hook attack, you basically halved the damage your team takes for the turn, and then you can half that by killing one of the enemies who isn't out of place.
I wouldn't be surprised if they get nerfed in the upcoming patch.
However, in the new trailer, they showed an Abomination on the same party as a crusader, so at least people won't have to choose between him and leper/vestal/crusader.
/dadg/ was the name settled upon when the game was in Early Access.
I'm hoping that Faithless and God-fearing replace religious as the abomination party lockout. It'd be cool to have quirks play a more integral role than just stat buffs/debuffs.
I'm also hoping that the Jester get a buff in the upcoming patch. He's a fun character to play, but his base damage doesn't scale in the higher level dungeons and I can't justify taking him along.
upgrade your wagon for better chances. Particularly the hero network which allows more options when picking.
I am so hype for the release. Can't wait. The devs for this game have been really good. This is honestly how early access should be done.
this. The only EA devs that have been nearly as based are Nuclear Throne's, who win out slightly for not putting the unfinished game on sale, so only people who're sure they want it got it
>tfw one of the perks of backing Darkest Dungeon on Kickstarter was the opportunity to have the voice actor for The Ancestor read a custom line of your choice
>tfw there is no spaghetti left to spill
Reminder that the character and item /v/, /vg/ and /tg/ helped create will be in the game tomorrow! When you're on the stage coach press enter and type her name or the name of her item to summon her!
Briar Patch (Plague Waifu)
Lewd Vial (her trinket)
>getting love interest and deviant tastes on the same character
>Man at Arms has Hard Skinned
>Gave him Barristain's Head (Formerly Guardian's Shield) and Heavy Boots
>Easily shrugs off nearly all damage when boosted with just 1 Prot Buff from Defender
>Start fresh after months
>first weald run, occultist gets black plague
>subsequently gets every disease under the sun
>since my vestal went awol after praying, recruit 4 chumps to weald
>houndmaster, jester, jester, hellion
>bleed everything to death
>not even afflicted too
Dots are actually useful now?
What do you people think of the 3 Trinket Mod from Nexusmods? The one that allows you to equip 3 Trinkets instead of 2?
where did you get that +92% damage buff? I don't remember the Occultist or the Jester giving damage buffs.
>Reynauld died without death's dooring
Fuck this bitch ass rng
Camping skills, wiped the floor with the flesh on my first fight (lol scouting).
Each abom has a +DMG self buff, the Occ has a +DMG buff, I think I got another buff from a holy water interactive too.
So how bad is the street eater quirk?
I'm kinda confused on how it works
Let's say your guys are walking along, and they get hungry. Normally, you'd need 4 food to feed them all, with each hero getting one food.
If your stress eater is sufficiently stressed, she will instead need two food, so you'll need 5 food on hand to feel all your heroes.
Should I just wait for tomorrow to start a new game or start it now?
>bounty hunter and occultist
>pull their backline to the front
>bayonet jab x 2
>clumsy attack x 2
>they're still in the same shitty position at the start of the next turn
You will never cuddle a chubby grave robber by a lonely campfire to relieve her stress, feeding her trail rations and playfully tickling her fat belly to see her smile.
>mfw cultists use their out of position move in the order that keeps them there
>cultist pushes your Plague Doctor back to 4
I made an attempt. The lineart was really messy though. I might make the effort to make it clean someday.
>Reynauld's resolve is tested...
>Reynauld solos the rest of the enemies, but ends the fight with bleed
>He bleeds out next to Dismas
Remind yourself that
Grave Robber is best, and purest waifu.
Yeah, but I don't recall all their names. I think there was a thread on the steam discussion section about it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we could just look though the files and find a list of the names ourselves.
There should also be some custom trinkets available too, so it should be helpful for people planning on starting a new game tomorrow.
Every KS backer who pledged high enough to to add their own personal item and character. If they don't share the names of them you'll never see them in game. Briar Patch and Lewd Vial are ours.
Eh, they probably had him record them at the same time they were recording lines for the actual Darkest Dungeon, since you can be sure there'll be lines for the new bosses and whatever.
Considering how VO works, they probably didn't grab him specifically for the memes.
>Prepare yourself for the Darkest Dungeon out tomorrow at 10am, January 19th, 2016.
It'll be out in about 10 and a half hours from now.
>fighting the Collector 3 quests in a fucking row
>fighting the Shambler in a veteran dungeon with a level 3 party
>3 crits killing my first plague doctor in what was supposed to be an ez pz short quest
This game makes me so fucking angry as it goes on
>Not having each grow strong and past their faults, contending together in the darkest dungeon
I only retreated after that shambler fight, but I only commited to it because I REALLY wanted that ancestor trinket and I had like 3 rooms to go to finish the quest
I pulled out with everyone just barely alive, 3 of them were afflicted and I was lucky enough to at least have my BH turn powerful. The 3 afflicted though were single digits towards heart attacks, so I retreated. A good kick in the balls was that the trinket I got was the dinky +25% hp one.
There's of a few of these but they don't have the nice meme quality of other images posted.
>Inventory\shopkeeper glitch by pulling into the available shopkeeper slots
>Cashing in my excess trinkets cus patch in a few hours
>Sell so many shopkeeper inventory fills
>Can repeatedly sell trinket without losing it
Infinite money. No, it's okay, I'm 300 weeks in so that makes gamebreaking cheats okay.
>oh look a blighted giant
>quick occultist, debuff him so he doesn't kill everyone
>or just fail every time
>and that's okay, miss your attacks, guys
>oh look Reynauld's dead
I HATE THIS GAME
HOW HARD AM I SUPPOSED TO GET FUCKED TODAY EVERYBOFDEIDSa
>Inventory\shopkeeper glitch by pulling into the available shopkeeper slots
explain the glitch? I'm about to kill myself with how angry I am and this might prevent me from me dying
Dont know where he got the "known each other" part, but the rest is true, as seen in the campaign intro.
Caretaker is driving the carriage loaded with your belongings, Rey and Dis are there to guard your ass.
I guess he could go for Stress healing and off healing while his friends do some actual work. Yeah, it's not a good idea but it would sure feel nice to fuck up the enemies back line.
When you're in the shop menu after you select a mission, open your trinkets and drag them into your mission inventory (you should be able to see the slits of the 2 leftmost slots)
If you drag them into the shops inventory, you can sell them for a ridiculously high price, something like 10x what you would get normally I think. You can also use it to get more firewood or scooby snacks
If you shove enough trinkets into the shop inventory, something like 6 or 7, he has nowhere to put any more so any you drag into the shop to sell will give you the gold but keep it in your inventory
NOTE THAT IF YOU SHIFT-CLICK ANY ITEMS IN YOUR MISSION INVENTORY IT WILL BE LOST LIKE IF YOU SOLD IT NORMALLY
I hope that wasn't too much to read
>Try to get her stress remove
>not allowed to go anywhere
>Looks at traits
>see what's in pic related
Wow, that double negative
>Long champion run on weald, want them ancestor's trinkets
>First fight on corridor get shuffled and finish the fight with all team at 40 stress
>Somehow go through all the dungeon with only 1 camp and staying below 70 stress on everyone
>Last fight before finishing quest, 4 doggies
>Surprise them, kill 2 of them
>PD goes paranoid, increases everyone stress
>turn 2, doggies go first
>Hellion goes paranooid, increases everyone stress
>Everyone goes crazy
Even in full light crits are a pain in the ass. I cant imagine on full darkness.
Never do long dungeons, I threw away like 12k just because I didnt have the inventory space
For Abominations, there's a flowchart guide out there somewhere but it basically boils down to a few things. He's pretty simple since there's pretty much only one build for him
1) Never, EVER let him reach 100 stress. Getting an affliction will instantly turn him back to human and he can't turn back again for the battle. You can stack with both trinket slots to around 65% but I won't bet so much on it
2)Know when to transform and when not to. His transform inflicts around a net 2-3 stress to everyone in the party so it's a good trade off for dps. The bigger problem is the self-stress inflicted and that can easily lead to an affliction. Generally, I only save transformation for bosses, FUBAR situations or if they have 2 squishy front row infront that I can instantly rake to death. In those situation, use rake to kill the front rows, then cash in on the damage with Enrage.
3)Skills to focus on: Transform, Chains, Absolution, Rake and Enrage. For camp skills, get the speed and damage self-buff and watch him become a wrecking machine.
That's pretty much it really, anything else to add?
Long dungeons give twice as many EXP compared to medium dungeons and is pretty much Light runs all the way due to the amount of crap filling your inventory.
I will kill myself if they didn't optimize the game, my toaster used to run some 9xxx builds on literally 5 fps, my PC broke on July 5th and couldn't be repaired, I'm stuck with a laptop with Intel HD3000 and it just couldn't handle the game at the least playable level
feels bad being poor
>DD launches at 9pm where I live
>mfw I'm gonna play DD all night long
after literally days of trying to diagnose, switching parts from friends' old PCs and getting a new mobo and PSU I figured out everything was fried during some power anomaly, a thunderstorm
it behaved like there was a short but I just couldn't figure it out
anyway, I have pentium 967, 4GB ram and an integrated intel HD3000, the CPU is fine, but I guess the GPU is just too shit
then again, cs:go runs at 20 fps on low, so I thought a fucking 2.5D game like DD would run on playable framerate
I don't know, add some fucking options perhaps?
fuck off with blur, pseudo 3D, AA and actually make the fucking fight animations shorter or just turn off all the animated shit from UI, close-ups (those take ridiculous amount of time when on low framerate for some odd reason) speech bubbles and all that unnecessary crap
it's has always been very unresponsive and slowed everything down even on my 7 years old PC that ran it on 60 fps
Camping Skill Changes
Camping skills have received a rather drastic overhaul, both in effects and durations. Listed below are all of the modified skills in alphabetical class order.
Please note that all buffs now have a duration of 4 combat encounters (hallway battles and room battles).
>Added the ability to use it from the third rank
>Added +10% stress resistance buff that increases by 2.5% per tier
>Increased maximum healing by 2 per tier
>Upon successful completion of the game players will be awarded New Game Plus. When creating a new save file, you will be prompted if you wish to start a NG+ file. Players must use the DD Strict gameplay options, tougher monsters, and two extra criteria: Complete the game in 91 Weeks with less than 13 deaths. Failure to do so and players will be greeted with a game over, and a deleted save.
New Class - Chosen Undead
- Dodgeroll, pressing B will cause the chosen undead to roll through an attack
-Praise the Sun! Does nothing except make you look like a memer
-Camping ability: "Git Gud" increase stress to max for all other heros, but increase accuracy and dodge by 100%. Stress is reduced through successful dodging. Heros that fail to git gud will be killed.
Here is your custom waifu in all her glory.
We got this cool cat.
>Added Secret Rooms
>Most attacks that have preferences for highest-stress targets will now no longer target a virtuous hero
I didn't know there were attacks like these.
>Remove disease on self
>Remove disease on target
This is good. I like to run GR and Occultist, and stuff that decreases bleed resistance like the red plague is a total pain in the ass.
>+10 ACC on self if in position 1
>+20% DMG on self if in position 1
>-10 ACC on self if not in position 1
>-15% DMG on self if not in position 1
Kind of gimps Hellion's role in shuffle teams, but this is great for people who like to use her to iron swan stressers in the back.
Oh shit, I'm glad I already use a grave Robber. Maybe I should swap out my Hellion for a Bounter Hunter.
This game is bad.
It's not actually hard at all, and you barely ever actually lose people, so to keep up their dumbass cthulhu gimmick, they keep patching in more annoying debuffs.
It will never be hard though, because it's just a shit JRPG-like pretending to be something cool.
It tells you what buffs, debuffs, and DoT enemy attacks now have
