Welcome, /rtsg/ is for the discussion of classic Real Time Strategy games that don't have their own general already, such as
>the Age of Empires series
>the Empire Earth series
>the Dawn of War series
>the Homeworld series
>the Company of Heroes series
>the Stronghold series
>the Command & Conquer series
As well as the oft forgotten cult-following Real Time Strategy games such as
>Battle Realms: Winter of the Wolf
>Myth: The Fallen Lords
>Rise of Nations
and many more!
Don't hesitate to ask questions, discuss games, post stories, reports, or campaign progress.

Reminder that /rstg/ was created by and is a protectorate of /gsg/'s empire.
I guess I can post some AoE II or something to bump a tiny babby OPM thread.
Is African kingdoms considered must-have? I only have Forgotten.
Johan has literally nothing to do with RTS though.
Whatever, my loyal vassal.
Anyone here who played Battle Realms? I'm wondering if there's anyone who remembers that old fan page that it had (it seems to be gone now) that had all the unit resistance information / other in depth stuff.
I'm trying to write an actual good unit / faction guide since BR is going to get released on Steam Q1 2016. All the guides out there are lackluster as far as deep understanding of the game goes since there are so, so many things that you can't comprehend just by playing the game alone since it isn't explained or even mentioned in game.
Seriously while I'm waiting for AoE II to download someone ask civ4xg if they want to merge, they kept asking to merge into gsg and now there's a legit satellite general for them
Shit. Is it necessary tho? I can't MP right now anyway but does it change the game significantly?
>Shit. Is it necessary tho? I can't MP right now anyway but does it change the game significantly?
I think you can play MP without African Kingdoms still. The balance changes were mostly small, it hasn't been really figured out yet as far as I know.
My independence is supported by Russia, the Roman Empire, and westernized Ming, go away Sweden.
The Mali or Ethiopians probably.
Aight, I was more asking if it was one of those 'have it or don't post' expansions like Conquerors or BtS (for civ4)
The most important balance change was probably the fact that Camels are fucking finally not considered to be "boats" (since boat units get extra damage from Towers/Town Centers/Castles). They still take a bit extra damage but no longer the massive boat bonus.
so who here plays Company of Wehraboos 2: Achtung-DLC multiplayer
Where's muh homeworld discussion? I need art nigga, especially of the land carrier from deserts of kharak
I'd think it's more like, they exist but this general has fallen into the recursive pit of too few posters - someone comes in, wants to discuss, sees nobody around / ded thread and leaves, next person comes in and since the previous dude didn't stay, also leaves, etc.
Try merging with civ4xg and/or twg.
Yes I remember. The tables with damage types / armor types, was fascinating to read there's so much in depth stuff going under the hood in that game. So stoked for the re release.
It's dead af and we should definitely merge. Both generals have the same problem but both also have enough of a following that people would like to see the threads not instantly die.
Maybe because you don't like starcraft for one reason or another. My reason is that it pulls shit out of its ass for setting, which is not necessarily bad, but I'm more fond of historically set games.
